I stopped by Willie's Grill & Icehouse recently and overall I had a solid experience. The place has a casual, relaxed vibe and it is easy to feel comfortable whether you sit inside or hit the patio. It gets pretty busy, which is part good (people come back) and part annoying because there can be a line at peak times. Food quality is decent for a place like this. Menu options lean toward burgers, fried seafood, chicken, and comfort food style dishes with a bit of a Southern twist. A lot of people mention favorites like the chicken sandwiches, fried catfish, and onion rings, and I’d say those are generally worth ordering. There are daily specials too, which gives you something different if you go more than once. Willie's Restaurant +1 Service was friendly enough. You place your order, and the food comes out fairly quickly even when it is busy. Staff seem used to the traffic and handle it well, though you may not get a ton of attention after your food arrives. For a casual spot that gets a crowd, that feels pretty normal. Prices are fair for what you get. Portions are generous and it feels like good value compared with similar casual restaurants in the area. Atmosphere isn’t fancy, but for a laid-back lunch or dinner with friends or family it works fine. In short, Willie’s is solid if you’re after familiar American food in a casual setting. Not the best restaurant in Tomball, but a dependable choice with decent portions and a menu that has something for most people.

We are here on baby watch, waiting for our grandson to be born and they took us to Willie's for lunch today. OUTSTANDING!! I first want to call out our server, Cameron K. He did an amazing job of keeping our glasses full and assuring we had everything we needed. The kids told us they have gotten him a few times and he always does an excellent job. I got a Patty Melt, his mom got a bacon cheeseburger, he got crab legs, my daughter got chicken strips (her words: because they have the best honey mustard than anywhere) and we shared a sample. With tea all around, it came to $93 (with tip $115). The food was all delicious. The honey mustard was in fact the bomb. Very happy with our experience here and will definitely be back when we come to visit the baby in years to come.... If he is ever born, that is.

Our server Rich was amazing! He check on us after bringing our food to make sure everything tasted great. He was very attentive and personable. The manager made the time on a busy night to come talk to us per our request. Mikayla the manager was also very nice. It's hard to find a place that has all three points checked for us. Service, food, and atmosphere were great for our first visit. The price was also very reasonable. 10/10 recommend this location.

I think this place has been here for decades. Why have I never been here? I got the seafood platter and ate at the bar. Quick lunch. The food was excellent and service was also excellent. Nice vibes inside and staff is very friendly.

I had such a great experience here at Willie’s Icehouse and Grill, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing server Sammy! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, our food came out hot and fresh, and she checked on us just the right amount! Never intrusive, always helpful! Great service like this takes a good meal and turns it into a memorable experience. We will definitely be back!

Great Food & Even Better Service! I had a great experience at Willie’s Icehouse and Grill! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. The food is always amazing and never disappoints! My favorites were the fried pickles and the chicken tenders. A big shoutout to my server, Sammy! She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. It’s always nice to have someone who genuinely seems to enjoy their job and takes care of you with a smile. Definitely planning to come back soon!

I love their food here. I've been coming here for over 8 years and have rarely been disappointed. If I am the service is always understanding and accommodates accordingly. Accommodations are clean and kept. Prices have gone up a bit though which sucks because I do go less.

Everything about this place is amazing! Food was flavorful and fresh, service was so speedy and welcoming, the restaurant itself so clean and relaxing! Very affordable prices as well; I will be eating here more often to try the rest of the menu!! So many good options to choose from.

We have always loved Willie's. The food is great (the crawfish is not unfortunately - been coming here since early 2000s). My favorite menu item is the hot honey chicken sandwich. The grilled sandwich is also so amazing (best eaten at the restaurant). We love the revamp with the covered outside area. Our favorite waiters are Ashley and Trevor. Kim is very sweet but she disappears for long times and does not check on us. Had her a few times in the past couple months and she has forgotten to put our beers in until we are visibly irritated looking around. Literally only that needs improvement! Other than that everything else is always perfect. Especially the other servers. Also has a great rewards program that always has us coming back.

Whatever you get here stay clear of the chicken fried steak!! Frozen from Sam's club has this beat by a1000 miles. It's obviously not made fresh and is the worst I have ever eaten in my life!!! I'm not a picky eater so unless it crawls off my plate I eat it. NOT THIS though

I have a theory that no restaurant that makes you stand in line to order,wait around for your food, carry it back to your table and consume it (Maybe out of a paper bag) Can be a five-star restaurant. Maybe I set the bar too high. Willie's is almost full service. You do have to go up to the counter, look at the reader board, order, and they gave you a slip of paper. But then you go back to your booth and a waitress comes, gets your piece of paper, brings you your food, maybe refills your drink, and acts like a full service waitress until the end where she gives you the check. It's an interesting hybrid. So to my mind, that's a four star. The food was good. The post-order service was good. The Ambiance was nice. I think it's a successful Little chain and I encourage you to check it out.

The food and menu was better 14 years ago. The onion rings are the bomb! The fish tacos of long ago were awesome. I do not care for the change, so will not order. They need a vegan burger option and gluten free buns. How hard is it to offer a black bean burger and order gluten free buns from your supplier. Willie's could take a page out of Rodeo Goat's menu. Sometimes the service is great, sometimes not. I realize that is anywhere, but the inconsistency is consistent. On to positives... many TVs with sports, casual, kid friendly, and $4 frozen margs everyday. Make it a top shelf for only $5 more.

When I'm craving a real, all American burger, Willy's is where I go. Tried and true that won't disappoint. Their Willy's bacon burger will not let you down. The onion rings are amazing too, and oh that street corn. Yum. Excellent customer service too. The manager bent over backward to resolve an issue (not the restaurant's fault) with my to-go order. Thank you for making a DoorDash nightmare a good Willy's experience for me. The food and service is the reason I keep coming back. Great place to watch the game too. Lots of screens in view, but not obnoxiously loud for those dining who were there for lunch/dinner only. My favorite place to sit at the bar, have a cold one and watch the game. Willy's you're the best!

Ateast a lb of our 5lbs was claws. It was also required to order 5lbs . Fair to say I'm not coming back. Edit: I talked to the manager who told me I should not have had to paid 5. And asked if she could get us another lb of crawfish for the inconvenience.

takeout was awful, potato was dark inside and looked like it was a three days old potato , my daughters corndog was black inside and they packed it anyway , food was all cold chick fried steak was awful , food quality was terrible , waited 35 min past my time they told me to arrive and still was cold , unacceptable to serve food this bad

we were in the area and looking for a decent place for lunch and decided to try Willie's. overall good food and good service. In this restaurant, you order at the counter and then sit down and a server will bring your food and you can order additional items from the server. we started off with the hush puppies which were good in size and flavor (different than ones from new orleans but still good) and we also got a side salad and a cheese willie burger with onion rings. the side salad was basic but a good portion size with decent lettuce and toppings. the burger was outstanding with good size and good flavor (tasted fresh) and the onion rings were really good. only disappointment was the cocktail sauce which tasted like bad ketchup overall good food, good portion sizes and good service (a bit loud music for lunch)

First time at this restaurant and I enjoyed my visit. Had the chicken fried chicken and it was really good. Pretty nice size drink menu with decent prices. One small issue with a friend that has a gluten allergy and had to send the food back twice but other than that everything was good and friendly service.

Wanted crawfish ... got crawfish ! Ordered the onion rings for an appetizer!! Monster sized!! Brother ordered the sampler... (mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, fried mushrooms and onion rings ) didn't know we ordered Onion Rings!! Was so big we ended up taking most of it home. Got 3lbs of crawfish boil bag.. Brother got 5lbs with sausages, onions and mushrooms. Plenty of corn and potatoes!! Chicken fingers and burgers were delicious also. Service was great! Bucket of beer to wash it down!!

Good food, decent prices, good waiters. Been eating there for 20 years always tasty! Big variety of meals, food is prepped quickly.

My first mistake was going there for crawfish. Never again. Do NOT get the crawfish! We got fried pickles and mushrooms and those were great! The crawfish was absolutely horrible though. Tasted like mud and the sea. i love crawfish, im aware of what it should and shouldn't be, and this was the worst ive ever had. We got nearly 10 crawfish that were black sludge on the inside. Rotten. I did my best, but I was so turned off that when the waitress came over I had her take it away, without complaints. Im not one to complain to the manager because i cant hold it against willies for the bad crawfish. Everything else is great. However I would like to warn anyone who is looking going there and considering getting crawfish. Get anything else. Willie's is great but please get anything else besides crawfish. I wasnt satisfied, I went somewhere else afterwards to get something to eat.

"WILLIE'S GRILL & DELICIOUSNESS" My Wife and I went out to Willie's Grill & Icehouse for dinner and more. First off we ordered our drinks, Frozen Jack-N-Cokes ($3ea) to start, chose a booth in the side area. We wanted to enjoy these Jack-N-Cokes before we ordered anything to eat. This is our Most Favorite Drink and we Love how Willie's puts this together - absolutely the Best Jack-N-Coke around. Half way through we decided to start with another Favorite, their "Onion Rings"; (small order) Handbreaded with Ranch. Along with that we ordered their Special they have going; "Chipotle Ribeye Queso"; Chipotle marinated Ribeye, Cilantro, Onions & Cotija Cheese served with Fresh Made Chips and Red Sauce. We enjoyed more of those Jack-N-Cokes and soon our 'starters' arrived and they both look Delicious. We Love their Onion Rings and were kind of disappointed in only receiving 5 of them - and they are now $5 - but they taste the same as they always did - OnionRingLiciousnesss with the Perfect Golden Crunch. The 'Chipotle Ribeye Queso' is one of the Best 'Starters' you could order anywhere - this is Totally Awesomelyliciousness. That Cheese is Just Right and a lot of Ribeye throughout - and a Ton of Chips. Could not get enough of this but we ate it all - and scraped the dish it came in. Now it's time to order - another round of their Frozen Jack-N-Cokes - and also our Main Meal. My Wife is going with the "Texas Patty Melt": Half Pound Patty with Two slices of Monterey Jack Cheese, Grilled Onions, Housemade Melt Sauce, served on Texas Toast. Chose Sweet Potato Fries for her side. I am having the "Founders Favorite Burger"; Double Junior Patties, Double Cheddar Cheese, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles & Lettuce. Served with French Fries. Orders are in and our second Frozen Jack-N-Cokes have arrived. Willie's is crowded now and the Staff is really busy - as is our Server, Anna, but she still comes around and checks on us. Soon our Food arrived and my Wife's Texas Patty Melt looks Gooeylicious - and she said it was. We both have had these before and nobody makes-em as good as Willie's does. Tastylicious Patty and lots of Cheese on Texas Toast is Perfect - it does have a flavor of it's own. I Love the Founders Favorite and have had this several times also. It's not small by any means and it is packed with Tasty Meat & Cheese - providing you with that Perfect Balance of Deliciousness. Sweet Potato Fries are my Wife's Favorite and these are prepared Just-Right - and my French Fries are Hot and Golden Brown with the Just-Right Crunch - and the Second Frozen Jack-N-Cokes taste just like the first ones - and the last time we were at Willie's. Willie's Knows. We both are stuffed and I don't know how my Wife ate so much, she usually doesn't but that just shows you how good Willie's is. Anna earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and Loved it - but didn't want her picture taken. Anyway, when you want some Darn-Good-Anything & Everything - just go to the "Willie's Grill & Icehouse" near you - Ya Gonna-Luv-It-All.

Cashier was ok. All comfortable booths were filled, but the food & Paige's attendance was enough to put willys at the top of my comfort food list, no doubt a must try!

Food: burger meat was a little off. But the sides and the rest of the burger were delicious. 4.5 Stars Service: very attentive. Server checked in every 5-10 min. Great warmth and big smile from her. 5 Stars Ambiance: crowded. A lot of patrons. 5 Stars Overall: 5 Stars

We had such a great experience at Willie's, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Kay! From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm smile and such a genuinely sweet attitude--it immediately set the tone for a great meal. She was attentive without being overbearing, and she checked in on us just the right amount to make sure we always had what we needed. What really stood out was how personable and kind she was. You could tell she really cared about making sure we had a good experience. She made great recommendations, got our order perfectly right, and even remembered the little things we mentioned throughout our meal, which made everything feel more personal and thoughtful. Kay's energy was just so positive and refreshing. She made us feel welcome, taken care of, and truly appreciated as guests. It's not every day you get service that makes you want to come back just for the server--but she definitely made that impression. If you're lucky enough to be seated in Kay's section, you're in for a great time. Thanks again, Kay--you really made our night!

OK, so first of all do not eat William's ice house firehouse I'm in icehouse. I do not eat at Williams icehouse. I had the most horrendous experience ever so first of all I had the chicken that I had the chicken tenders for the ranch and fries and I was terrible. The chicken nuggets were not crispy and had little to no butter and also reminded me a grilled chicken but with brown seasoning Loki the ranch was terrible usually when I'm done with the ranch at restaurants and I usually don't finish it what I do and I take a straw and I take the ranch and I suck the wrench up in the straw this time. It was so terrible. I had to throw it out of the window. It was so terrible. The only good thing was that the fries and they tasted like air fry freezer flies that you can buy, but you can buy at the don't eat my hair, but you can find the grocery store.

Kimberly at Willie's on 242 in the Woodlands Texas was an awesome waitress. She was very attentive, and I wish there were more servers who were like this. She paid attention to all our needs and was very friendly. Excellent customer service.

We love this location. My favorite (the Cobb salad is always fresh and loaded with all the goodies! The hubby ordered the gouda burger and it was juicy and flavorful! So good! Courtney was very attentive and personable. We'll be back soon!!

The street corn looked like they didn't put in any effort. Please see pictures attached. Looked like regular corn with 5 pieces of shredded cheese. Also had a random piece of avocado inside as well. Def would not recommend getting. I also got the turkey burger, and it had no flavor and not cooked fully. Not sure if I picked the wrong Friday night, but the chef was def not on point

Today, you get a one. My buger was way overcooked, and the fries were soggy. What the heck happened to the cook from last time. Asked for medium and got well done.

I have been dining at the Willie's Grill and Icehouse at Jones Rd near 290 in Jersey Village for over 25 years. The food is served quickly, is always hot, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is a great family setting.

customer service sucked. The food was nasty. gumbo gross, chicken dry. do not recommend.

Avery was an amazing server. She was on point with our orders, and she was so nice caring to us. She is one of the greatest bartenders ever. The food is great as well but Avery was able to make the whole experience great.

A must visit when I'm in Houston as it is one of my FAVORITE places! Best. Honey. Mustard. EVER! And the chicken fingers just WOW. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The fried appetizer platter with onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fried jalapeños is the best. The jalapeños comes with queso too, just a solid plus. Taco salad is my go to. But like I said everything is good. Great frozen margs and awesome beer selection Solid choice!

FOOD IS SO GOOD! Everything is cooked to order. The chicken bites were very tender and the honey garlic sauce is tasty. The people are nice. They have slushy cocktail drinks and every beer you can imagine. This will be one of my regular spots to go to in the area. Simple concept but fantastic.

I made a terrible choice in ordering then shrimp gumbo! When the gumbo was brought to the table, it looked horrible. I thought the gumbo was oil out of a junked car. It was absolutely disgusting looking! After the first taste, it only got worst. The gumbo was like a French onion soup that was left out for days, reheated about a dozen days, with hard rice. Yes, the shrimp did look decent, but were void of any taste. Very bland and chewy. This is my second horrible experience at Willie's. There will not be a third. It's too bad a once consistent family restaurant has falling to the state it's in now.

I found my new love the 10 wings, get them lemon pepper with buffalo on the side. Comes out amazing add a margarita to it and it's a in matched meal. The service tended to my needs and the location is need and clean. Definitely coming back

Chicken Fried Chicken: we will never order this again! The chicken is pounded flat to less than 1/4 inch thick. The only taste is breading and gravy.

We ate here for my birthday. I had the fried catfish and shrimp platter . I had it with seasoned rice . The rice tasted like Mexican rice instead of rice for seafood. It should be white rice that's seasoned not brown looking rice with Mexican spices .

Willies never comes up short on satisfaction with the menu, food preparation, or wait staff!! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and some days the patio area is our favorite part of Willies!! Nice selection of food and always prepared the way we ask. We try to keep our food match our healthy lifestyle. We enjoy the grilled chicken breast sandwich. Burgers here are very good too. Read the menu .. there are lots of great choices! Willie's kitchen is always spot on!! There's a play area for smaller children and plenty of adult beverages for adults who just want to chill and enjoy their family time. The carry out is always fresh and packed with care for those of us on the run some days.

Ordered three meals to go. They got one right. Main thing is they are advertising their jalapeno gravy. So I ordered the country fried steak. Got home and no gravy at all. Just a dry overcooked fried steak and a lump of nasty fries. But for some odd reason they added ranch. Been going here about once a week for a while. They have been going downhill lately.

Had a great meal, our server was great "Natalia" very attentive and always refilled our drinks. Will be back for sure.

I've eaten at several Willie's over the years and they're consistently great, food & service.

Me and the wife's first time visiting this location we told our server Shannon and she immediately told management from there on we were treated like royalty food was excellent atmosphere was great can't wait to return with my family and friends.....

This restaurant is newly renovated, but they really should've spent that money and time on improving their food! They recently switched to a cheaper chip for the chips and queso so I won't order that again. My wife and I just had a chicken sandwich last night and they both were as tough and tasteless as could be! I also had the smallest little tomato on my sandwich.

The food here is great!! The chicken tendie tacos are so good, I recommend them with some rice and some tater tots. The service was great my server Natalia was super attentive and nice and give my girl a raise she did so good!!

I've dined at Willie's 3 times and honestly, I'm not impressed. The best thing I've eaten there was the loaded baked potato and it's pretty hard to screw that up. I think the set up of this restaurant is kinda weird and unnecessary. If ordering at the counter actually saved time, I'd give it to them. But hiring someone to take my order at the counter and giving me a piece of paper for the server to take and put the order in...don't see the point. Save money from printing menus? The catfish wasn't fried hard enough and it barely had any flesh. Super mini strips, I totally wouldn't recommend it. Also tried the CFS and it was 3 star, nothing to write home about. Needed some seasoning but fried really well. Also tried a grilled chicken dish (think it was the ranchero) and it was my favorite of the 3. The fried mushroom app was cooked entirely too hard and had zero seasoning. The pricing on the small was legit though.....if only it tasted good #deepsigh Service was OK each time...

If I could give less than a star review I would. Apparently if you order the seafood combo you have to pay extra for fries. So it's $21 for just 2pc of catfish and 5 shrimp. And extra of you want fries. This place sucks all around.
