New Healthy Food Shop Willow & Co Opens in East Austin | Eater Austin

"I spotted a new healthy grab-and-go shop in East Austin that opened in mid-March, located next door to Wright Bros. Brew & Brew at 908 East 5th Street. Willow & Co. focuses on healthy takeout items without added sugar, using honey or agave instead. The beverage lineup includes smoothies made with ingredients like blue algae, bee pollen, and hemp oil, and they plan to start offering freshly made juices within the next week — including a green juice and a strawberry-watermelon-lemon option. Heartier offerings include made-to-order toasts such as an avocado toast topped with sunflower sprouts and a whipped-cream-cheese mash made with blackberries, thyme, honey, and crushed pistachios; there are also salads, soups, and miniature frittatas. The small space has some patio seating, and the business is run by Valerie Williamson and her partner Richard Kooris." - Nadia Chaudhury

Sally & her team always make such great coffee, it’s hard to resist the treats on offer, especially ‘mum’s’ Oat cookies & there are lots of fab products to buy in the shop, I’ve bought various over the years. Muslins gifts for new mums, linen cushions for ourselves, glass refill bottles, mugs, greetings cards, Christmas decorations & different wrapping paper. I highly recommend Willow & Co to all my customers that ask where I would go & some that don’t even ask, I tell them anyway 🤣

The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable.” The latte was velvety, with a warm feeling of oat milk and dark coffee dancing on the palate. Truly a perfect memory for the first sip. And the apple and ginger cake was Incredibly smooth and soft. epcuistitely light and flowing with flavour only achieved from homemade delights This is my go to place for an oat milk , single shot , extra hot latte !! ❤️

I contacted Willow & Co a few weeks before my wedding and asked if I could pre-order some coffees and breakfast pastries. From the get-go, they were so friendly and accommodating, making the process super easy by allowing me to pay ahead of time and collecting the order when they opened on my wedding day. Both the coffee and pastries were outstanding and were exactly what I was looking for. They also surprised me with a lovely card to congratulate me for getting married. Lovely welcome and service. We stopped for coffee which was really good, Ritual brand I believe. There is a little courtyard outside which is a perfect suntrap and has a number of bistro tables.
