Willow Beach Marina

Great place to go for the day if you want to get out of the heat. Water stays about 58. Nothing feels better when it’s 110 outside. Easy to launch a boat. Easy parking, there is a marina store if you forget something, camp ground with bbq pits, kayak and paddle boards and you can board up to pirates cove.

Will Creek Marina was so good. There was fishing in the fishing area was clean. People were catching lots of fish. There was boating. Everybody was respectful. The weather was perfect. There was plenty of parking for boats and campers. The showers and bathrooms were immaculate. There were people living on sitethat were cleaning up constantly trimming bushes manicuring the entire campground. The water was crystal clear and it wasn’t crowded with people.

Great Place to Kayak, Canoe Boat etc. Good Parking area. Must Pay State Park Fees but overall a Fantastic place to get in some Water Therapy

They’ve definitely done some upgrades from when I was growing up. Didn’t see to many fish hopefully more next time.

You truly will be thankful if you stay here. Well maintained. Colorado River nearby to enjoy. Boats and kayak rentals. Store on site. Cafe on the property. Very beautiful part of Arizona.

It's so nice here! So much wildlife and nature to explore. I just love it!! During the summer the bugs are kind of crazy. There are swarms of bugs that look like mosquitoes, but they're really not. Beware, there are wood wasps here, we've seen them many times, so be careful around those. The only real issue here is people leaving trash and not picking up after themselves. Other than that 10/10.

First time visiting. Very nice. Water was clear and looked clean. Got there at 8am on a Sunday. There was already lots of people but plenty of parking. We went for fishing but no bites. Seem like a weekend's a bad day to go fishing there. Too many people boating, paddle boards, swimming, making noise. Having fun but not great for fishing. There were people fishing off the docks but I did not see anybody catch anything.

When you visit this place, you know there is a God! This place has the most beautiful emerald green water. On the edge of the water, you could see straight through like it isCrystal water. I absolutely love the tranquil feel of this place and the magnificent beauty of it. The drive to this location is absolutely beautiful and very scenic. I realize that most lakes are kind of diminishing currently; I pray that this one doesn’t. I would love to own a boat and put it in that marina.

STUNNING! My family and I booked a reservation to camp and canoe. When we arrived we checked in for our campsite and the staff was very helpful and friendly. They directed us on where to go and we set up camp for the day. There are places to park and you can get out and explore the water. You can see the marina where they have the boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. The next day we went back to check in for the canoe rental. The same staff members were there and they helped us get checked in and gave us all the needed information for checking in and being on the water. They also provided us with a map and told us of the popular places to stop. We went down the ramp and they helped us get in the canoe and provided us with the life jackets as well. It was absolutely beautiful being on the water. There was a spot where we stopped while canoeing where we were able to get in the water and swim. It was definitely more difficult paddling back than heading out. It was not too busy in the morning but as it got closer to the afternoon we saw a lot more people on the water and the tours. We will be back for sure!

K - ick Ass A - dventurous Y - ahoo A - ctive K - eeled Willow Beach is a great place to launch your kayaks as it sits right on the mighty Colorado River. Depending on the time of year, the weather can be very hot or just perfect. On this trip we had an 83 degree day and light wind. Willow Beach Harbor (should be marina not harbor) is located just across Hoover Dam in the state of Arizona. It is within the Black Canyon region and has over 235 miles of shoreline to explore. Lots of parking, a convenience store, picnic areas, boat launch area and a campground. I have kayaked here twice now. The first time, my friend and I rented a double kayak from the marina. I believe we paid $130 for the day. They also have single kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and small boats to rent. This time I went with my bestie who owns two single kayaks. The key is to arrive early morning. The reason is unfortunately, there are way too many tour groups accessing the water now and it can become crowded which stinks if you are seeking some serenity on the river. The first time I went there was not a lot of people but this last time it was a bit extreme. Lots to see once you are out on the water like old equipment from mining days, wildlife such as bighorn sheep and the beautiful Emerald Cove. We were lucky enough to see an incredible bald eagle which is rare. You can kayak all the way up to Hoover Dam but it is 12 miles so get ready to work. You can also kayak to the Arizona Hot Springs Beach which is a little over six miles up river. You will find many beaches along the way where you can pull in, have lunch and take in all the epic views. It's very peaceful out there and the water is pristine. So clear but definitely cold. Near the shore the water is warmer but the deeper you go it will wake you up quickly. Be sure to wear water shoes, bring sunscreen, quick dry shorts, a long sleeve rash guard, bathing suit, and a big hat. Plenty of water is a must plus food. Oh and most importantly a life jacket! I highly recommend getting out here and experiencing the Colorado River at its finest. This can be family affair, a couples or friends day or a solo adventure. It's up to you but there is nothing like it. Always remember to Leave No Trace!

Gorgeous kayaking spot with magical water that "glows" emerald green at high noon. However, not for the faint of heart on windy days as the trek back up the river will definitely test your upper body strength!!! There's an entry fee if you don't already have a national parks pass--get the annual pass if you hit up at least a couple of national parks throughout each year. I'm not sure what the fee is off the top of my head since I have a pass. Bring sunscreen--I regularly wear tanning oil and still come out with lobster legs. Also, I just found out inflatable PFDs are a thing, which is great if you're petite like me and want to take photos without a giant life vest overwhelming your frame! (Check with your tour operator if they permit you bringing your own PFD though.) Ope, and get here early if possible! This spot--like many spots in the area--become heavily trafficked, tourist traps later in the day.

Our 2nd time here and we love it! The water is crystal clear. We wear water shoes so the rocks won't hurt our feet. We Pack lunches for us to enjoy and just take in all the beauty. They also have a small gas pup so you can fill up. Not sure how much it cost. I wish they had an electric charging port. But we will definitely be back

The harbor is easy to get to however the road leading up to the harbor past the pay station is badly weathered. Please fix it! The harbor was clean and easy to launch from. The river was pretty clean except at one of the beaches someone placed what appeared to be a bag of dead ducks on the shore. who would do that? I know this has nothing to do with the people who take care of the river so I didn't take any stars away from my review. Besides those two issues my family had a blast!

Willow Beach is a gem, specifically a shiny emerald. With the famous Colorado River sculpting the dramatic canyons, Willow Beach is a picturesque dream. Only an hour drive away from Las Vegas, you get to find yourself paddling a portion of the Colorado River in pure bliss. Surrounded by steep canyon walls, Willow Beach offers multiple hidden coves with breathtaking views, animal sightings, and waterfalls. The most famous cove is probably Emerald Cove. On the outside, it doesn't look like much. But once you paddle inside and you're looking out, the way the sun's rays hit the shimmering waters, it's like you're whisked away to paradise, enveloped by emerald waters. Willow Beach is apart of the Lake Mead recreation center. Entry for a car is $25 and it's good for one week. We have our own kayak, so we went to Lake Mead one day and Willow Beach another day. Lake Mead and Willow Beach are completely different experiences. Willow Beach means paddling down much calmer waters. This portion of the Colorado River is very chill. If you go on a Sunday or Monday, motor boats are not allowed to go north of Willow Beach. This makes for an even more relaxing excursion. Many people take guided raft or kayak tours. But it's really not hard to navigate on your own. The waters are pretty safe, and it's nice to not have to follow a line of people into the coves. Believe it or not, there can be traffic. There are only 2 directions to go - north or south. To kayak to Emerald Cove took a casual 1-2 hours with lots of breaks and random stops at various shorelines. The beach has many accessible points to launch your own kayak. I plan to come back many times over.

You'll enjoy yourself without the crowds. The water is cold so be prepared for that ! Great fishing and boating/ kayaking. Wildlife surrounding the mountains are breathtaking. Emerald cave is beautiful when you go at the right time as the sun rays reflecting the water give off a beautiful emerald green color.

The Kayak/paddle board launch is usually packed with tours. HOWEVER, if there's just a couple of you, you can always squeeze in! Beautiful River color, often calm, when windy it can be a little bit of an effort. I don't recommend the cave on weekends unless you go early early or much later because the tours line up the whole side. As a Vegas local with kayaks and paddle boards, this is a calm 1/2 day chill! Even though there are A LOT of tours, you can general be away from or ignore the activity (unless you want to see the cave). Love having Willow Beach! If you are going for the beach, families pack the sides early, so if you are planning to do so, come early too!

I LOVE coming here. I have rented boats from this place a few times along with friend's who have too!! BUT NOT THIS YEAR!! They have been booked up like crazy!! Darn COVID!! I did have one day this year I was able to book but winds that day were going to be too high & not safe to take a boat out per my boat friend's. The wind MPH didn't seem to be an issue for WBH. Odd cause a friend had rented a boat from another local marina who canceled her boat reservations due to the wind MPH which was less then it was going to be this day so that's concerning that WBH will allow someone to take a boat out when it's probably not very safe. But when I have gone out on the rented boat in the past staff has always been friendly & easy to get along with. Boats have been up to par & we get the one with the portable toilet but only when the boat is parked & not moving. So now I have a friend who owns a boat & docks it here. Messed up thing is she told me that if she wants to take it out of the water to bring it to somewhere else, say Laughlin she has to give them a 30 day notice. WTH is this like an HOA you have to have permission to do what you want with your boat??? That's craziness!!! The bathrooms across from the store have always been clean & stocked up. Their store has a lot of stuff. If you don't have time to pick up ice or some alcohol you can get it here. Of course prices are higher, talk about robbery. I got a 1 pd bag of ice (think it as 1 pd, it was small) for $5.00. They had a lot of beer & seltzer drinks here. Even my favorite brand, Vizzy & that is hard to find one to find in stores. There toilets that are next door to their store that are probably open all hours are nasty AF. So stinky & hot inside. Not very well ventilated & they're not kept clean. Its like hold your breath & get in and out in a hurry!!!! They have a few picnic tables with covering but it seems you have to get there really early to get yourself a spot as they have always been taken by the time I've gotten there early AM, around 9am. They rent kayaks but they're expensive. It's better to contact a local company who will meet you down there with them & rent them that way. Not sure why WBH has to be sooooo darn expensive with therm???? Emerald Cove is soo worth checking out. It's apx. 2.5 miles from the area where other companies put rented kayaks in the water. You need a park pass to get in or you have to pay. I think its $20 per car? It's defiantly worth checking out & not too far from Vegas, Henderson side that is.

We took the kayaking tour on October 30, 2022 RYAN P was our guide he did an amazing job. Explain everything really well. Great person to be around always thinking positive.

This place is super fun for water crafts. It is not a beach so don't be fooled by the name. There are a few VERY small beach like areas where you can sit in the water or put a chair or towel but it's also hotter then hades and you won't want to lay out on the sand or anything. We went and fished in the water and caught some rainbow trout and they have a good fish cleaning area. We took out canoes and kayaks which was so much fun. It's a little expensive but you can also bring your own. Make sure you have an adult with a valid ID and drivers license if you are renting from them for each vehicle you are renting. Apparently it is just like renting a car. It doesn't say that when you call and talk to them, on their voicemail, or on their website. But they will get very angry and very rude if you show up unprepared for your prepaid rentals. We had an ugly experience with their staff about that. The water is beautiful and clear and cold. I would go back. Also emerald bay isn't that great. It's more about the journey than the destination. The caves Just ok.

What a gem. I love coming to just study, read, relax or kayak. It's really a nice and comfy environment.

will be back . me and my boyfriend had so much fun . packed our lunches coolers with drinks dont forget a tent or canopy to give yourself some shade . the water is very cold and very clear but refreshing to cool you down from the hot weather . we left at 6:30am and got there at the perfect time to get a good spot

Rented 3 sit in tandem kayaks for the first time. The place was clean it was standard COVID virus set up with the whole 6ft markings and mask requirements in place. The staff was very friendly and helpful when one of our members flaked out of showing up they adjusted the price no problem. I would definitely go back and recommend them to everyone.

First time on the boat and on this beach, i had a great time enjoying the water and the lake views. Staff is great and friendly and area is clean. It was a windy day, so we went south on the lake and was bummed that we couldnt go towards the dam. Maybe next time! Im sure this wont be the last time i come down to the beach!

Nice Little Embarkation Point For Some Water Time Willow Beach Harbor is nice and clean, and you can rent some motor boats to go explore the river right up to the Hoover Dam as well as the overrated Emerald Cove. We opted to rent a little boat and did a couple hours in the boat to relax on our way to Arizona from Las Vegas. Not a bad little place.

I've visited with friends for boat rentals and kayak adventures. Willow Beach Harbor is setup for a nice river getaway from Vegas. When I hear the word beach, I think sand. There's no sand here, there's rocks, a river and plenty of amazing mountains scenery for the gram. If you're going to walk around in the water by the shoreline, I'd highly suggest some wearing water shoes. The shoreline is where most people set up canopies and start grilling when the weather allows for it. FYI, even during the hot summer days the river water is very cold for full on swimming. If you're cruising on the river via motorized boat, kayak, canoe, etc there's a good chance you'll be able to see some big horn sheep roaming around. The Marina building has a general store that has every water accessory that you forgot to buy or bring from home for the river. They're also pretty well stocked with water, beverages and snacks should you need them. Overall it's a pretty cool harbor to hang out for the day. Heading out in a kayak it's my biggest suggestion here as it's a great way to explore the river. Enjoy!

Gorgeous area just over the AZ border from Vegas- and you don't need your own boat to be able to enjoy it, either. The marina has equipment rentals available, including kayaks, canoes, SUP boards, and small motorized craft. In addition to rentals, there is a small cafe for lunch and snack options. If you bring along your BBQ gear, you can grill up on the shore. Remember to clean up after yourself and keep an eye on your kids. Note that you are required to have a life vest on at all times in this area! NOTE: There's a fee station and access is supposed to be $10/car, but the booth isn't always manned. You can get in free with the Red Rock pass.

This was really beautiful sight to see in really wanted to get in the water but unfortunately we just went at March and who still cold and the water was just freezing so we didn't get to go and and I don't think we're gonna make it out again in the summer so hopefully next time we go by here we will be able to go in the water because it'll be hopefully during the summer months

"As an RV camper it is important for us to have a level pad and driveway, working hook ups and a clean campsite. Willow Beach had it all! It was a very pleasant stay. We stayed three nights, taking advantage of the marina for launching our kayaks, and even took a full day kayak tour from the Hoover dam that beached at Willow Beach. A great experience. We'll stay again, if in the area."

A little off the beaten path but very easy to find! Willow Beach is a beautiful place to visit with small children and dogs. The shore line is shallow and goes out quite far before the water gets deep. The river water is very cool, clean and refreshing. I'd recommend bringing chairs and a easy up if you plan on spending time at the waters edge. However, their are plenty of coveted picnic tables above overlooking the water. Near the marina/ dock their are restrooms (men's & woman's w/out a changing table) and a restaurant. Make sure to pack up your trash and toss it in one of the big trash can. Entry is $20 if you don't have a annual pass.

Had such a wonderful experience at this marina today. Brought my 2 kids, and they were so kind and patient with us while we got our rental paperwork completed. The boat was just as expected, and in great condition. Will come back. Love that we didn't have to refuel the boat ourselves.

Really scenic and quiet place to camp. You will drive your rig 4.5 miles off the 93 highway into a deep canyon to a mariana on the Colorado River. You can rent motorized boats and canoes. Or bring your watercraft and floating tube. I will definitely rent a boat and drive the river, even though I'm a non-motorized, preferring anything human powered like a mountain bike or legs to hike--all better for the environment! I have to break the rule and boat here for sure cuz it's so spectacular. We are here to camp only a few days, just passing through and picked this place because it is a national park. Campground looks so very new--cement pads for RV/trailers, modern restrooms and showers and most sites terraced overlooking the mariana and river. $35 a night to camp and 1/2 price for me and others who have a National Parks Senior Pass! Oh boy! Elec/water/sewer hook ups at each site. Did I say the views are great and so quiet so far from the highway so it goes! So so so!

What a sanctuary this place is! We recently visited Willow Beach for a kayak tour with Kayak Lake Mead and it was really a perfect day to do so. There is plenty of parking here plus clean restrooms in the main building where the store is. Actually, the whole area is very well kept. Our visit makes me want to have my own kayak so I can return again and again. Definitely a great spot to check out for a picnic, fishing, or a kayak or boat ride (if you have one!).

8mi -6.5hrs paddleboard sesh, amazing, beautiful, accomplished, tiring! Haha! If the wind didn't blow 20mph going back, things would've been perfect! But no regrets, i made it! People are super friendly - great customer service- thank you all!! Will def come back n paddle again!!

Went to willow beach for Memorial Day weekend. It was a beautiful day as the weather was nice and cool. You must get there early if you want a spot where you can have covered awing and barbecue. You can't bring your own grill into the park for safety reasons but they have grills located through the park to enjoy. My family and I had a wonderful time. Other family members came later to join us in the festivities but were turned away because the park was at full capacity by 10am. The park opened at 7-7:30 which is the reason I stated you must get there early. Our children played in the lake while we barbecued and played music. The water is ice cold but enjoyable. Their are clean restrooms throughout the park. And a nice restaurant. The park ranger was also nice, he made his way through the park to make sure everyone was ok. He gave out big garbage bags to clean up your area and said to just leave them by the garage and they'll pick them up when we leave. We stayed most of the day leaving around 2pm because it got so windy and was blowing everything away. I noticed they let ppl in as we were leaving. There's also a nice camp ground up there too if that's your thing. When my husband was alive we used to take the boat out there, rip Ken, but now I just enjoy the ground life.

Water is super cold but pretty nice place to go with your family. But not my favorite place. They don't allow flowties at all no loud music and not enough space for parking and if you want a good spot to grill you Jane go be there early.

Beautiful spot, water was refreshing/cold/clear and the beach goers and staff were friendly. Bring flip flop or rock shoes, a tent or some sort of shade, sunblock, plenty of water, bbq available if you wish to do that, water equipment rentals but make reservation in advance. $25 to enter and good for a few days which worked out for us being we plan to spend two days there, first day swimming and second day boating to Lake Mohave.

Kayak. Canoe. Rentals galore. What's not to like. Fish from the deck. Camp out if you like. Weather permitting this place is great. Best day ever: Rent a pontoon boat and head down stream for about 45 minutes ...find a secluded spot and enjoy the day until it's time to come back and return the boat.

Great service and very friendly staff! Know up front that the boats need to be back by 3:00 Arizona time. The boats were clean and ready to go when we got there. After a short safety video, we were on our way. The boat didn't go more than 20 minutes before it the motor would choke up and it would drop down to a crawl. We drove around for 3 hours, starting and stopping with minimal issues. When we got about 100 feet from the dock, it does and wouldn't restart. The cheerful staff came out and picked us up. The river is beautiful and was calm the day we we on it. The water was a brisk 58 degrees. This was well worth the drive out, get there early and bring plenty of food and dress in layers. You'll have a great time.

When I drive into Willow Beach Harbor from Las Vegas, I step into two different time zones. Arizona time and the zone where time stands still. With its brackish Colorado River flowing through Black Canyon with the backdrop of the Black Canyon Wilderness Area, time certainly stands still. In the past two years, twice I have did the state hop into Arizona to tour Willow Beach Harbor . Both times were in Autumn. This has been a mesmerizing location where I suspend the hustle and bustle of the computer age (no phone reception) and engage in some easy to moderate hiking. Willow Beach Harbor, where time stands still is minutes away from Las Vegas. Willow Beach Road is 15 miles south of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA). From US 93, Willow Beach Harbor is a four mile drive on the dilapidated and paved Willow Beach Road. There is a fee station that has been closed both times. There is always the possibility of a $10 toll to drive to Willow Beach Harbor. The drive is a gradual downhill gradient. It is similar to the Arizona Hot Springs Trail segment to the Colorado River with the exception that the motor vehicle is doing the work and there is no slot canyon. Potholes and loose gravel are hazards that indirectly enforce the slow speed limit. When the road reaches the harbor, the pavement is temporarily replaced by gravel. I bring this up because this is where the major hiking trails originate. Willow Beach Harbor is a full service LMNRA destination. The services include a marina, picnic area, boat launch, gasoline, store, food service, Ranger Station, and campgrounds. On both of my Autumn visits the restaurant has been closed. I always make a stop at the store to buy a can of Bud Ice ($1.75) that I drink on the deck while glancing at the real life painting in front of my eyes. And what a real life painting! If only there was phone reception here, I would be sharing this scenery on a Yelp check-in. Here, a gentle Colorado River passes through Black Canyon. The brackish water is habitat for water birds and personal water craft. On my visits, the water birds outnumbered the water craft. In certain spots there is a sand beach that looks like an acre of Florida transported to a desert with mountains. This is a real life painting that fills up the senses during sundown. After I relax on the deck, I switch into hiking gear. Willow Beach is also a Harbor of hiking trails. The shortest hike is along the river to the hatchery which was closed. It treats the hiker to saguaro cactus and vista's of a blooming shoreline. The first time I was here, I did the uphill hike to the campground area. Regardless that it is a rv camping area, the panoramic views of the harbor below turn it into a scenic overlook. Off to the right of the campground area are trails that lead into a slot Canyon and desert landscapes. The major hiking trails are to the south of the harbor. These trails utilize the LMNRA Backcountry Roads. Gumbo Wash Road (Rt. 56) is the spine of the network of trails. It intersects with 4x4 approved trails bound for Malpais Flattop Mesa, the Colorado River, and open spaces. At the time of my visit, I was suffering from Plantar Fasciitis making the rocky topography nearly unbearable. I recommend hiking boots. The reward was laying my eyes on a family of big horn sheep. I also recommend bringing your camera. The worst thing about time standing still is that this time eventually comes to an end. Just as Sundown changes to night, I make my way back up the dilapidated Willow Beach Road and US 93 toward the Las Vegas time zone.

Look up the definition of a beach because the name is very misleading and this wasn't it! Very disappointing folks. It's a lake or river. People were fishing, paddle boating and grilling.

I love this location. There are a lot of things to like kayaking, boating, swimming etc. It can get really busy. So if you are planning to get a pavilion or some tent space, you need to plan to get there early. There is a little cafe/grill with some food. But I suggest bringing your own. The view is amazing and the water is always cold. Don't forget the sunscreen!

I came here with some friends and our kiddos on 4th of July. We arrived around 9 and all the pavilions were taken. I believe there were 6 of them. The pavilion areas have picnic tables and grills. There is a very small beach area but that is where the group kayaks are launched at and you cannot set up camp in the direct road path. The ranger will inform you to move. If you do find a spot near the beach area, there is limited shade and its on a slight hill. I suggest setting up post in one of the pavilions and walking over to the shallow beach. There is a good amount of shallow beach that kids can walk out on to. The water is very calm and VERY COLD. But if you're going during the summer time, that can only be a plus. There is also a little island you could walk and swim a little ways out to and jump off. Along the harbor there are areas where beach sticks out but its almost like a ledge. I also suggest swimming then eating lunch at one of the handful of picnic tables near the restaurant and gift shop are. You get a nice view of the river and its shaded. The scenery is pleasant and relaxing. I don't fear the water like I do at Laughlin. Make sure kids have vests on and if you can, bring a big floatie and tie them altogether. Beware there are lots of bees and fire ants! I highly suggest bringing bug repellents and bee sting medicine. I got stung and the lady next to me did as well. It costs $25 bucks to get in and there is ample parking near the beach area. From Las Vegas, it took us an hour because we drove responsibly with the kiddos.

The name Willow Beach is quite Decieving and I'll explain here why in a second. I tried to come here on Memorial Day this year 2020 we got there early in the morning and it had already reached capacity so we left and went out to Telephone Cove. We decided that we would give this place another chance yesterday 7/1/2020 being as we live in Nevada and have a Lake mead annual pass it's an easy escape. We arrived around 11:30am and drove down to the water there are great little pavilions if you want a table to eat and there is a restaurant and bathrooms and a large marina for your boats and such. But it is NOT A BEACH there is nowhere for you set anything up and just relax with chairs. There is literally little sections in the shrubbery for you to try and set up. You would literally have to get there early in the morning (like sunrise) just to get a little section by the shrubs and dead trees. This is a place for those with boats, jet skis or kayaks this is not a place to go and chill because it Is NOT A BEACH. I would have been upset if I drove far for this place luckily we live here so again we went to old faithful which is telephone cove on the Arizona side! Truly disappointed in this location never again Willow NO beach

Came here from SoCal and got the chance to make it out to part of the iconic Colorado river, Willow Beach. A very nice getaway just outside of Vegas on a very scenic route. Reading previous review of this place everyone consistently was mentioning how freezing the water is, so after spending the day there I can definitely say that the water is chilly! If your from Southern California and are familiar with the water temperatures at the beaches, you will have little to no problem adapting to the water temp here at Willow Beach. I like to think we came on a good day giving that it was a Tuesday & a bit overcast but average temp was high 90's. Nit a lot of people around and parking was pretty easy to find. $25 parking fee good for 7 days! I can see this place getting packed quickly and leaving very little places to set up a decent camp. Luckily we got there early enough to get a grill and coverage. NOTE: If you are allergic to honey bees bring your epipen! Lots of bees near the dumpster and around when you bbq. I hade a few Jack & Cokes and had many bees land in the drink. Also there are wild donkey that roam very close. Some people were even petting them. water is very clear but the lake bed is covered with rocks. Definitely recommend WATER SHOES! Overall I definitely would make this a destination spot. Bring water toys and food! BYOB I enjoys the views here and the environment. Watched a couple of girls bring a inflatable kayak in a Sedan and float off in to the river. Looked like fun!

The beach is beautiful, (more like a river with lots of rocks & no sand but STILL very nice). Loved seeing the wildlife that walked right up to us & cooling off in the water. My only complaint is the food selection. I can definitely see why so many people bring their own! They could make so much money if they cleaned up their icky, sticky picnic/food area & turned it into a restaurant with actual servers. That's exactly what we were expecting to see when we saw it in the distance - a restaurant/bar but it was quite the opposite. More of a fast food "McDonalds" with fried food galore. If you're expecting more of a wine, bread & pasta menu (or for the vegans & vegetarians a healthier; fresh menu) I would just bring your own food. :) And enjoy the beautiful site

As a Pre-Regatta, we went tubing on the Colorado River in Willow Beach, AZ yesterday. Unlike a normal river float, we were required to remain near shore as boats were also in the water. It was still a nice getaway from home. The fee station ranger informed us that the Red Rock Canyon Annual Pass will grant admission to this park as well - be sure to bring it.

A short drive from Vegas approximately 15 miles into Arizona from Hoover Dam. It use to be free entry but as of my last visit you needed to pay a daily entrance fee or use your yearly Lake Mead recreational pass or yearly national parks pass. They have a trout hatchery near by and release trout into the river. You can fish close by a license is required. There is a restaurant where you can get food drinks and supplies. They rent boats for use on the river and you can swim there if you can brave the cold water. They have a nice area where you can BBQ. Nice place to get the kids out of the house and concrete jungle for the day.

I got swimmers itch, my whole family is covered (except my mother who did not get into the water.) Be careful.

We rented a boat from them and had a great time. Unfortunately, we got stranded and had to be towed. The manager did not let us pay for anything. She refunded the total costs for for the boat and the gas as well. My family had a wonderful even though we were stranded. Your customer service is as good as it gets. Thank you so so much. AL. :)

this place will ask you to pay online and for a annual fee which is $45. I don't know why they can't charge you $15 just for one time use of their life. they have people on the entrance area but they cannot charge you there I don't know why. got ripoff when we went there 5/24. we paid of The annual fee when we got there and give us just told that the park was full after words.

This place was great for kayaking. Vegas glass kayaks is honestly the best way to go.

Great place to come hang with my son and do some fishing. We love it here and they stick it frequently so you have good chances to catch some good fish. It's a beautiful area with lots of Wild life too.

Beware of boat Rental here. This place over charges for boats that are not properly working. Radios are broken as well as shade canopy. I had my 1 year old daughter on the boat with me. They failed to tell me that the door on the boat was also broken and does not stay shut this almost resulted in injuries. The price they charge for gas is more then I have ever paid at any marina on the river. They also have this scam to charge you extra for oil. They say they have a formula per gallon of gas to charge you for oil. I have also never had someone add things into a contract by hand. They added in excessive charges for chase boats and rescue boats if you are past 4pm on the rental. Besides all of the above the red headed woman I think that's what she was is has the worst attitude. Do not rent here find somewhere else. You have been warned

We came here with our Intex Inflatable Challenger K1 kayaks. After looking some info up, we went on Sunday because Sundays and Mondays are designated days for non-motorized boats (which means only kayaks, canoes, paddleboarding, bodyboarding, and whatever else non-motorized water vehicles). It was really nice. We spent about 6 total hours here, with about 3 hours in the water. I gotta say that it was unbelievably hot, but it was fun as long as we stayed hydrated and had on plenty of sunblock. The wind was nice and calm, like maybe a breezy 9-10mph with occasional gusts up to 12-15mph. The inflatable kayaks held up awesome in the water. I'd definitely come back here to kayak. I'm not sure how it is with days when we have to share the lake with motorized vehicles and jetskis, but we'll be going back on the weekends, so we'll see... Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper by 2PM, I believe. Bring your own... The toilets are alright. We come here maybe once a year, and they always had ants, like lots and lots of ants, but there were none this year. Another thing I don't recall from the other years was the entrance fee. It is now $20/vehicle instead of $10 (or free, in my memory...). If you come here to fish, and you're from Nevada, you'll need a Nevada fishing license PLUS an Arizona "use stamp." If you're from Arizona, you'll need an Arizona fishing license PLUS a Nevada "use stamp." I heard that there's annual passes that makes it cheaper to go in if you plan to visit more than once in a year, so I'm currently looking into that, since we want to come here to kayak. I heard there's the "America The Beautiful Annual Pass" for $80 that allows passage to many/most? federal parks for free or discounted price? that's for each vehicle for up to 3 adults (all those question marks are because I can't seem to get any straight answers from people). Then there's the "Lake Mead Annual Pass" for $40/year, and that's for each vehicle of up to 3 adults. Finally, there's the "Red Rock Canyon Annual Pass" that's $30/person for each person entering; I am not sure if Willow Beach entrance will allow this pass for each vehicle of more than 1 adult, or if they'll make you pay for each person (since the pass is "per person").

If I could give this place 1 star I would. Booked an "all day" kayak rental online but received less than 3 hours on the water. No where in the online booking or confirmation did the reservation say "all day" was only until 3pm. We found out about an hour before we picked up the rental because they called to ask where we were, if we were still picking up our rentals, and that they had to be back by 3pm. We were told at the dock that it was a 45 min paddle to the cave we came to see, and 45 min paddle back. That left us about 45 min to wait in line and rush through a few quick picture to commemorate our adventure. When we brought the kayaks back (shaking from paddling so fast to avoid the $85 late fee) I informed the manager how disappointed I was that it didn't tell us the time the rentals were due back and how we didn't get the experience we came to have, she simply looked at the confirmation and thanked me for bringing it to her attention so she could have her tech team add the 3pm return time. No offer to give us the next day rental free (or another day), no offer to refund or partially refund. She was rude to boot. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BRING YOUR OWN KAYAK/PADDLE BOAT OR RENT ELSEWHERE!!

Such a great experience being able to visit this place. Coming from California, I'm never in the middle of nowhere so I was completely amazed at the views this place had. An oasis in the middle of the desert! We took the long hike up to the Ringbolt Hotsprings to enjoy this beautiful site. Went tubing along the river. Water was clear, refreshing, and had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Totally recommend. If you're looking into camping, willow beach marina offers overnight camping! Just make sure to get there before all the spots fill up. Fills up pretty fast.

Views are breathtaking and water is so clear. Came did a kayaking tour, best thing I've ever done on Vegas trip. :)
