Really enjoyed learning about the history (past and present) about the river. We were traveling from out of town so the entire experience was very educational and informative (I naively had no idea and he was so approachable and understanding/non judgmental). What I enjoyed most, is the absolute og legend of a tour guide, DOUG, who not only knows the ins and outs of the river like the back of his hand, but who genuinely cares for the river and the quality and conservation of the habitat surrounding it. His knowledge and genuine passion for the water was apparent and he made the entire experience even more fulfilling.

Great 50-minute boat tour of the Cape Fear River! Very informative of the history of the area and river itself. Easy to get tickets and get on and off of the boat. Staff was super friendly. Few snacksnon board with a bar. The wife got a glass of their Rum punch. Said it was more punch than rum, buy tasty. Would definitely use them again and maybe a sunset cruise.

We recently took the North cruise on Eagles Island and had a wonderful time. The 50-minute narrated boat cruise was both informative and relaxing. Our captain and first mate shared fascinating stories about the area, making the cruise enjoyable for the whole family. While the cruise was relatively short, it was a great way to see the local sights and learn about the area's history. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.

Captain Mike and his crew were very professional, polite and knowledgeable about the Cape Fear River! This was my husband and daughters first time on a boat and this water tour was a great place to start! We at first booked the North trip at 11 am but we wanted to see more so Carol assisted us while on the boat book the South trip at Noon, we got a nice discount for doing both trips! I highly recommend doing both trips on the water tour, there is sooooo much to see and learn! Thank you Captain Mike for allowing my daughter the opportunity to sit in the Captain’s seat, that’s all she spoke about on the ride home! We had such a good time!

Fun boat ride with a great staff. The host was extremely knowledgeable. We did the Eagles Island tour. Our cruise headed north. This is important to note since this tour goes north even hours and south odd hours. Our "north tour" went along the historic downtown area. We went past the battleship, a couple shipwrecks, Eagles Island, and more. This was a very relaxing and interesting tour. Since this tour switches directions each hour, we plan to do the south tour very soon.

My husband and I have worked with Diane at Wilmington Water Tours twice to book a large group, and have been so pleased with offering the Eagles Island Cruise for our homeschool co-op! Not only has she been amazing to coordinate with and incredibly helpful and kind, but the captain and crew are awesome, as well! For both cruises, we've had large crowds with a mix of adults and kids ranging in age from 1-14, and Captain Doug and his crew haven't disappointed in answering any and all questions while also providing us with information about the port that many of us weren't even aware of. Thank you all for showing us such hospitality and making it a memorable experience! We would love to work with y'all again soon!

Great experience. The cruise we got was short but we signed up for that. The first mate was extremely knowedgeable, and we learned a lot about the environment on our "Eagles Island Cruise." The staff were nice, and the location the boat launches from is nearby a ton of other things to do in the area.
