A Hidden Gem I Almost Don’t Want to Share… Stumbled upon this charming little spot—and honestly, I’m torn about letting the secret out! It feels like one of those rare, family-owned treasures that locals quietly keep to themselves (and for good reason). Seating is limited, but that just adds to its cozy, no-frills charm. Most people seem to grab their food to-go, but don’t let that stop you from dining in if you can snag a seat. We went around golden hour, and let me tell you—between the lighting and the warm vibes, everything looked straight out of a postcard. The sweetest lady took my order at the counter, and I went with the chicken teriyaki plate. Not only was the wait short, but the prices were surprisingly kind—especially these days. And if you’re still on the fence, wait until you see the portion sizes. Generous is an understatement. As for the taste? Absolutely delicious. Flavor-packed, comforting, and clearly made with love. This place is proof that the best meals are often the ones you never see coming.

Its hard to believe I ate a delicious Pastrami burger from here but I did🥰

Amazing food and service. Owner is very welcoming and food comes quickly. Better than McDonalds.

Google
The breakfast burrito was sooooo bomb! The crispiness of the bacon and hash browns are perfect and all the ingredients are very proportionate, which I believe makes a great breakfast burrito. I also had the chicken teriyaki plate which was very fresh and appetizing. I crave it all the time but this place is so far from me 😭 The owners and staff are such nice and friendly people and their food tastes like it was made with love. It was cash only before, but they take card now!

Google
I love this little place! It's a mom & pop joint and the "mom & pop" who run this place are always very nice. It's the place to go for a good old fashion All-American cheeseburger. Everything tastes very fresh, from the ground beef patties, to the crunchy lettuce to the hot and steamy fries. This place is CASH ONLY. Give this place a try.

Google
The best breakfast burritos! Good burger and generous helping of fries. Nicey spicy chicken teriyaki plate. Cash only.

Yelp
I grew up in Torrance and in my later college years I was hanging out with some friends and all my South high alumni friends kept saying Wilson Burger has the best chicken and beef teriyaki plate. I couldn't stand it, I had to check it out. So I drove from North Torrance to South Torrance just to get some teriyaki chicken and beef and let me start by saying, its not really a teriyaki plate. It's not a sweet teriyaki sauce so I can't say that its the best teriyaki plate. But it is the best chicken and beef plate I've ever had!!!! Hands down the best chicken and beef plate ever!!! It's chicken and beef on a bed of rice, and they have these tiny peppers that make it spicy. I love to pour their ranch on top of the meat so that it becomes a bit creamy. Since then, I come and get this from time to time and it never disappoints. The burgers and all the other food is good, nothing out of the ordinary. Taste like any other charbroiled burger place. But the chicken and beef, the goat!

Yelp
Went there on a whim. Always passed by it, but never had a chance to stop in. Glad we did! The Double Bacon Cheeseburger was tasty, and the Fries were amazing! The Fries were just the right cut and had the right amount of crisp on them. I'd go back just for the Fries. Also ordered the Beef Teriyaki plate with chopped chili peppers. Lots of heat with that flavor...whew! I'll go back to try some other offerings in the future. Posting a pic of my food and the latest menu on the wall. Sorry for the reflections Service was very good too. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
Returned to enjoy lunch and they still offer one of the best teriyaki plate lunches around. Spicy or mild with grilled onions and salad or fries for around $15. A lot of food! Limited seating inside and out.

Yelp
This place is a childhood FAVORITE. The chicken teriyaki bowl with chopped chilis and the ice berg salad is my GO-TO menu of choice! An easy on the go lunch spot! Something to keep in mind, payment is CASH ONLY!

Yelp
I've been going here for 18 years and they have consistently had my favorite breakfast burrito in the South Bay and excellent service every time Tried and true, trusted and vetted, Wilson burgers is a Torrance staple

Yelp
Since old ownership changed by young ownership who is very polite to customers I become very big fan of this hidden hot place in a torrance area. I know this place is not new for neighbors and we knew this place provide healthy and tasty foods for many students from schools near by and my son used to asked me to drop Wilson terriyaki or burgers for his lunch when he was junior high student also. We are so happy that we can just walk to get tasty and healthy foods. I really hope new owner and his family build better business with many customers. And thank you for your efforts to provide foods freshly always. You must try Chicken terriyaki but you will surprised how well marinated meats and side salads are fresh. Today I tried double burger combo and I usually don't finish whole burger but today I ate all. I wish everyone try when you pass this place.

Yelp
We have passed by a few times and we were curious. Today the line at in n out was huge and we decided let's finally try this place. It was our first time and man did they not disappoint! It is cash only so we have to remember this next time. Now the food was so great! We got two cheeseburger specials and a grilled cheese for our son. The burger was full of flavor and the fries had great seasoning on them. Our son also loved his grilled cheese. Overall we will definitely be back. The customer service was wonderful as well.

Yelp
Been coming here for two years. No complaints. My wife likes the teriyaki plates and I usually get the double cheeseburger w medium fries (as large is pretty huge like a full bag huge). I've also tried the steak sandwich (good) and fried zucchini (good) Overall: the owner is always there and I enjoy the service. Price is decent for a small shop. It's walkable distance from me so I come here when I'm feeling lazy. Only draw back is "cash only" but there's an atm at the Shell gas station on the other side.

Yelp
I've been going to Wilson's for almost 20 years & I've never been disappointed. Wilson's definitely stands out amongst the fast food places of the like; such as Steve's, Y-Not, etc. They have the best fried & beef teriyaki plate! The amount of food you get for the price is great & it's nice to see its owned & operated by the same nice family after all these years. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Sebastian K.

Yelp
Food, service, and vibe were all great. Very cozy place with friendly service. If you're in the area, I highly recommend dropping by!

Yelp
Food is so good. Had been coming here for years. Even before COVID. Quality has stayed the same since then. Service was quick. Owner is so nice. The ambiance is really chill, a good place to sit and eat or take to go if you want. Theres a few tables inside and one outside. They only accept cash so that's something to remember as well.

Yelp
Was in town with coworkers for a meeting and we wanted to try out this South Bay staple. We ordered a variety of items including the double cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and of course fries and onion rings. We particularly enjoyed their juicy and tender chicken sandwich. Their teriyaki was amazing! Be sure to get it with their original spicy flavor. It adds a slight kick that changes the whole teriyaki experience. The ambiance reminded me of those little mom and pop burger joints from the 80's. It brought back great memories. The cashier was courteous and provided fast service. I hope I will-son eat here again!!

Joseph K.

Yelp
Super affordable and filling food. Got the chili cheeseburger and deep fried burrito. The spot is pretty small but most people grab and go, so seating wasn't an issue. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I just found my favorite chicken teriyaki place! I went to Wilson Burgers for the first time today and ordered chicken teriyaki plate. I'm glad I said yes when asked if I'd like it spicy. Served on a bed of rice with a side salad, the chicken was super delicious, moist, not too sweet, not too spicy, just perfectly balanced. Service was friendly and courteous. It's a small space but the turnover was quick; we ended up staying to eat inside instead of taking it to go. Yum!

Savannah N.

Yelp
Consistently good, hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Don't sleep on the breakfast burrito, it's solid. Guy that runs it seems like he's owned it forever (it's got one of those faded, ancient menus that you just know means the food is good). Only downside is it's cash only.. they don't warn you about that if you place a take-out order.

Charyl F.

Yelp
I recently went back and as usual the was delicious. I got a pastrami cheeseburger with grilled onions. The burger was juicy, they always put fresh lettuce and tomato on the burger. The fries are always hot and I really like the season salt you can apply on the fries. I've been going here since the early 2000s and have never been disappointed. If I lived closer, I would definitely come more often than I do.

Yelp
Wilson Burgers has been my favorite food spot since I was a little kid. I just always loved their food. I have such happy memories of coming here with my grandparents and family to eat and pickup food to take home down the street. The owner is so kind and always remembers my family when we come in til this day even though we dont live there anymore. The place is so nostalgic and warm for me, I honestly hope that Wilson burgers stays open for lifetimes to come. For other families to enjoy. And for my family to continue to enjoy as well.

Yelp
Don't let the name deceive you! They are called "Wilson's Burgers", but go for their teriyaki plate! We have been coming here for years and we have always been coming here for the teriyaki. We get the chicken teriyaki plate with rice (pro tip: you can substitute the salad for French fries ) with chilies and grilled onions on top. We give it a 4 out of 5, not because of the food, but because of the PSA below. If that doesn't bother you, then it would be a 5! PSA: it is cash only! Plates are about $12-15, so make sure to have a $20 on you if you're just ordering for yourself. If you don't have cash, there is a gas station next door with an ATM! :) or get cash back at the counter. I have never tried the burgers because we always go for the teriyaki. I have never even considered the burgers if I am honest, but with the reviews of them, maybe I will in the future!

Yelp
Wilson burger is always dank. Been going here since childhood and never disappoints. Perfect ratio of veggies to patty to bun. Fries come out piping hot. Taste is exactly what you want from that low key burger spot down the street. Usually don't drink soda but when I order from here the fizziness is just right not stale tasting like some other places. They even leave the fries seasoning out for those who like their fries extra tasty. Also a plus that they give you little cups of ketchup togo so you're not sitting there opening a bunch of tiny packets while your food gets cold or if you're a car eater. Only thing is that they are cash only but theyre a small biz so I support and prices are super cheap anyways. PS: their breakfast burritos are the best in the area imo (yes, better than phannys) and 0 line in the morning. They come with the shoe string hashbrowns for that crisp factor.

Yelp
Always freshly made. Been going here for at least 10 years, same great taste and value.

Yelp
We love their Chicken Teriyaki Plates, it's packed with delicious teriyaki chicken over rice and fresh crunchy salad. $12 enough for 1.5-2 meals with average appetite. During the pandemic, the indoor seating is eliminated, only to-go orders. Order at the counter and the boss lady brings to the car, nice service!
google avatar

Yelp
I have not been here before, and live in the area for over 15 years. A good solid Cheeseburger. Just forgot to ask not to put that Thousand Island sauce on there: Never Been a Fan! Ever. I'm all About the Mayo, mustard, grilled onions, etc, minus pickles! Yeah...don't like those green things Well, fries were yummy, love those thick fries . Sorry, only took a photo of the fries. Food was FRESH, and hot. That was number one for me and for that, I'll give 4 stars! CASH. ONLY. Good place to go for a nice burger, and won't Break your Wallet

Yelp
I only tried the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki and its more than enough So good. Side salad is fresh and chicken is marinaded just right. Spicy level you can control but i always ask for extra pepper. I think i can have their teriyaki everday and not get sick of it.

Lawrence H.

Yelp
WB is a good place for their club sandwich, hamburger and large size fries. Today, I got their Garden Burger and Garden Salad. The burger was flavorful. I like that broccoli is one of the ingredients in their salad. Another popular item is their Teriyaki plate. It's quite good and also very generous on the amount.

Christopher L.

Yelp
Unfortunately small dining area, but solid burgers and teriyaki chicken! A great mom and pop small business.

Steven S.

Yelp
Outstanding food that is incredibly consistent over the decade+ I've been going to Wilson Burger.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in the south bay! The burrito includes sausage, bacon, egg, hash browns and cheese, as well as an INCREDIBLE fresh, slightly spicy salsa on the side. All of that for ~$9 makes this is the best burrito in the south bay. I've been coming to this place for ~20 years and the owners and food have been consistent and wonderful.

Yelp
Great fast food burger place. Cash only though. Service is fine, I mean it's fast food. Not much for ambience. Nice people!

Yelp
Bacon cheeseburger is better than innout. Chicken teriyaki extra spicy is the go to. Love this place. Cash only.

Yelp
I came here with my husband for the first time and we both ordered 2 cheeseburgers and large fries to share. Their large fries can feed up to 3-4 people. I really enjoyed their cheeseburger. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, raw onions, and pickles. I definitely will return and try other things on their menu.
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
Still delicious and it's one of the few foods I've been craving during pregnancy. Portions are still big and teriyaki is still amazing. I typically order two orders of teriyaki chicken with chili and onions for me and my husband and we pay about $28. They also don't have this on the menu but they'll provide a kids portion of teriyaki with rice for a little more than half the price. I love that they are still here in the neighborhood :)

Yelp
Still fantastic!!! I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki this afternoon. I ate the entire platter. It comes with a side salad which I ravenously enjoyed. So fresh, so exquisite. If only they were open on Sundays. C'est la vie!!!

Yelp
My first time here. Fries are so good, seasoned perfectly, hot & crispy. I had a Double Cheese Burger, best decision ever. Really rich on flavor, fresh ingredients. My wife also had the Teriyaki Chicken. So good and so fresh. Definitely we will come back to this cozy and hidden place. BTW ,CASH ONLY.

Jahaira C.

Yelp
Do not recommend this place! My son ordered a hamburger meal that includes a small drink, and when he finished his meal (he always chews on the ice) he discovered a dead fly at the bottom of the ice! He called them and a male answered but instead of apologizing or offering some type of explanation, he I mumbled something (my son couldn't make out what he said) then hung up on him!! Absolutely gross behavior and hygiene!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Terriyaki Beef. The BEST customer service and well environment. always greeted by the owners very nice and considerate. they sometimes offer to bring your paid order to your car as well. Been coming here for years

Julie y.

Yelp
The BEST breakfast Burrito I've ever had!!! Thank you for your great service and making it a nice cozy place to eat.
google avatar

Blanca T.

Yelp
CASH ONLY. I got a fish burger with fries and drink, and we also got the chicken teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki plate was SO GOOD. The way the chicken was sliced made it really good. It was also a hefty portion. My fish sandwich was also good. It tasted like an elevated version of a McDonald's fish filet, which is A-OK with me! The space is pretty small, but doesn't look like it gets too crowded, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a place to eat inside. Our food came out SO FAST. It felt like the food came out 5 minutes after placing our order. They can also make your chicken teriyaki spicy if you prefer a kick.

Yelp
Torrance Food Crawl #180 Twenty five years ago when I lived nearby I gave up on this place as they had indifferent owners, and below average quality and service. That was long ago and since then there has been an ownership change and a general freshening up of everything. The food selections are generally classic American fast food choices with some Mexican and Asian dishes thrown in. I had a Chili Cheeseburger. My first impression was that there was very little chili, it was present but I had to almost search for the chili, it was so sparse. The meat patty is a typical flat prepackaged product that is beef but no different than any other average burger anywhere else. There was plenty of lettuce, tomato, and onion. It was an OK hamburger, just not a chili hamburger. The Onion Rings were plentiful and not greasy. They were breaded too heavily, hiding the onion and making the rings excessively crunchy. They too were OK, just not that special.

Yelp
I checked Yelp to see the reviews and the time that the location closed tonight. Yelp listed the hours were updated a month ago, so I figure that was pretty recent. The hours listed are from 8:00am-8:00pm. However, upon approaching at 7:00pm, this evening, the owner was locking the doors and putting the sign up that said closed. Maybe there was a family emergency and they needed to close early? If not, closing a whole hour before listed closing time is poor business acumen. Hope all is well with them nonetheless.

Ron T.

Yelp
The Teriyaki plate was real bad, the beef was tough and the plate was mostly rice.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
My favorite dish here is the Chicken Teriyaki with onions and spice! Trust me, I am not a chicken or teriyaki lover, and am unfortunately picky with those for some reason. But here at Wilson's, all is well. Their burgers are filling and deliciously cooked, especially the Double Cheese Burger. Mmm I'm drooling at the thought of it. Of course, season your fries with the silver container on the countertop! Oh and add pepper to your ketchup - or use ranch. They give extras with no charge. The owner and family staff have always been kind. The food is also well prepared in less than 10 minutes. I only wish they would take cards or even checks (**WARNING: CASH ONLY!**) because I always have to swing by the bank prior coming. It would be more convenient; but nonetheless, fantastic business!

Yelp
This is "fast food", with a small diner feel. This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. Though somewhat tasty, they are not doing anything fast food restaurants aren't already. I would rate this right alongside I&O, but under 5Gs. The burgers are thin, and slightly dry. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavor was on par with other fast food restaurants. There is no table service, only while ordering at the window did I come in contact with anyone. The person taking my order was pleasant, and the food came out in a decent timeframe. The dining area was clean, but not in the best shape. Once inside, the age of the building is apparent. The interior is small, only 3 four top tables. The atmosphere is about as casual as It gets. The pricing is on the low end, but so is the quality of the finished product. For the quantity, the value is decent. I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be my number one pick for burgers.

Yelp
A small shack on Anza & PCH. A favorite place for every student living in south Torrance! It's a must visit!! I go to this place only for ONE THING! 1. TERIYAKI PLATE w chicken $9.80 - rice, chicken teriyaki with chili, small salad - comes with a small packet of ranch (be sure to ask for another one on the side) It's perfect for the Asian and the non-asian tastebuds! Teriyaki is mostly always sweet and I personally get sick of it after a while... But this place puts a kick into teriyaki and stir fry it with yellow chili peppers! And together it tastes amazing!! It's sweet and spicy at the same time and I tend to crave it almost always! It's a bit pricey for a teriyaki plate... But it's quite filling and the taste is consistent year after year!

Yelp
So I've passed this place a hundred times, I live in the general area, and I've read the reviews and so I decided to try it. Sorry no, the portions are not huge and are not enough for 1.5 or 2 meals, and sorry no the chicken teriyaki is not that good...calm down, mediocre at best. When I look at portions of a restaurant, I take into consideration the full price of the food item I'm ordering as well as the expensive materials in the dish. Sure you could say the chicken teriyaki is huge if you're counting the half of the container is full of rice (maybe a whole half lb of it lol), the actual chicken part is quite small, very small in fact considering the plate ends up being roughly $15 after tax. The flavor is also nothing phenomenal, and is not your general chicken teriyaki taste which doesn't really bother me. It in fact taste kind of like a mix between a teriyaki, a Kung Pao and a hint of Korean, sure it's not bad, but it's not amazing as mostly everyone says, sorry it's not even close to THAT good. I'm not sure I was a huge fan of the spicy or the onions that I added to it, I think I could have done without the spicy part as it kinda of seemed to take a little harmony away from the rest of it and the onions might change the overall flavor of it, but it wasn't bad. Now as a first time customer, would I get this dish again because it was so good or so huge, no because it was neither of those and at $15 i felt a little ripped off. Next time you eat here, scrape a little chicken from the top of that rice and you'll see how actual huge your plate was, yeah it's all rice isn't it. $15 for a plate full of the rice and some salad, yeah no thanks. The rating I gave is for the overall taste of it, I could have gone lower for the value of the meal.

Yelp
Food is always good and fresh. I'd rather spend my money at a small business that serves good food rather than a McDonalds or Taco bell. I have fond memories of this place when I was a kid (twenty years ago?) My brother and I would get a burger and fries to share. I'm pretty sure the man behind the counter would give us extra fries because a small fry should not be a whole paper bag full. I hope this place keeps going. Well wishes.

Yelp
Ate here twice this week. Good food, good price and friendly family owned. Saw the 1 star review from a disgruntled lady amongst mostly 4-5 star reviews. Didn't see a single roach. Seems to me it was written out of spite cause I had good burgers comparable to like Fantastic Cafe or Snax. Did the teriyaki chicken plate tonight and wasn't disappointed. Will be coming back regularly from now on. The owner was really nice lady.

Yelp
Poor customer service I felt rushed which was very unpleasant and the food was nothing special.

Yelp
Wilson Burger stands all by itself in a mall slightly hidden by a gas station, but people manage to find it. If that isn't almost the image of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant (minus the hole or wall) I don't know what is. This is a burger shop which evidently a Korean family got a hold of so they kept all the previous menu items and the shop and basically everything... I don't know why but I know many Korean owners just sort of don't bother to change things and instead they just add something super random to the menu which they're REALLY good at making. So surprise, surprise... Or maybe not because many reviews already pointed it out... But their strongest menu items are their TERIYAKI PLATES. That's right... It's a quintissential American neighborhood burger joint named Wilson Burger, but their Beef Teriyaki was excellent and tasted mighty Korean to me which was a little confusing because of where we got it. We ordered in Korean so the owner knowingly glances up at us and asks, "Do you want it spicy? We just add peppers when we cook the beef" and we said sure why not. It was DELICIOUS. Portions were generous, the rice was perfectly cooked, the beef tasted of a vaguely familiar bulgogi-esque sauce with the significant kick from the peppers, and it came with the very typical mini iceberg lettuce salad which is the same salad you get in any Korean place that serves anything that they call "salad." I bet you anything they had the iceberg for the burgers and thought, "Hey... Salad!" And because we could, we ordered a large chili fries. It didn't go together at all but that's the beauty of this shop. Pure randomness. I will say that while the fries were crisp and the chili was good, there wasn't enough chili to cover the fries. I do attribute this to maybe the owners just aren't familiar with the food. I don't think that would be a problem if they knew because the ratio of the beef to rice in the teriyaki dish was spot on. So maybe the next time I come I'll mention to the owner to be a bit more generous with chili to balance things out, but I have no complaint about their teriyaki and will return to try the chicken version too. Solid place to grab some food to go or sit in one of the few tables they have set up. I was pleasantly surprised to find the worn- looking tables were really clean. I'm glad I found this place and always glad to support local small businesses.
