Wimberley Log Cabins Resort and Suites

Since my close friends selected this location for their visit and thoroughly enjoyed their experience, I would be pleased to provide a review if permitted. It is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable places to stay, with a staff that is both polite, helpful, and accommodating. The log cabins themselves are quite intriguing and possess a certain romantic charm.

Mixed Experience – Needs Attention to Detail We recently stayed at this B&B in Wimberley and had high hopes based on the charming setting. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay less enjoyable than expected. On our first night, we discovered that the septic tank located right outside our window was overflowing. This caused an extremely unpleasant odor and also led to plumbing issues — our toilet stopped flushing properly. We eventually had to move to a different room on the second day because of this. In both rooms, cleanliness was a concern. The floors didn’t appear to have been swept; walking barefoot left our feet noticeably dirty. There were also bugs in the room, which added to the discomfort and gave the impression that the space hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned or sealed. The second room also lacked a table, which we had in the first room and found useful for storing our things. Other concerns included the lack of outdoor lighting around the pool area, making it difficult to navigate at night. While there were underwater pool lights, there was no surrounding lighting for safety or ambiance. There was also no wood provided for the fire pit, which we had looked forward to using. The beds were quite uncomfortable and sagged significantly in the middle. Lastly, the air conditioning unit didn’t cool the room well, leaving it warm and stuffy, especially during the heat of the day. There were some nice features — the general location is peaceful, and the layout has potential — but overall, the property could benefit from more attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more enjoyable and memorable stay.

We had a lovely family reunion there recently! Loved the whole place! Only ding is I wish there had been better lighting in the rooms but we had a blast! Nice pool!! Good spot for a big family gathering!

Pretty comfortable bed and very spacious. But there is absolutely no privacy, you can hear the next door residents cough and unit 4 has a tinted window that has no cover up. Very uncomfortable worrying you might be seen from outside. Shower has a good size but the shower head is very outdated making a less than desired experience. It was good for 2 nights but would not stay more if needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wimberley Log Cabins. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the design of the cabin was cute and spacious! The pool was really nice and clean as well, with a beautiful tree next to it. We didn't have time to use the yard games, but they looked well kept up. There were several cozy outdoor seating areas. The cabins were fairly priced, and the location was great - right by Mima's Tacos for breakfast, close to Market Days if you're coming for that, and close to downtown. We would definitely stay here again!

The pool was great. The cabin was quite large but was maybe the worst bed I've been in for years. There are very few comfortable places to sit, and you'll need them if you spend more than an hour in either of the beds. I can't think of a scenario where I would ever return there for sleep for any amount of money. This is the reason I hate to roll the dice on Airbnb properties. They have such an operatunity to deliver something great and instead you get cheap metal chairs and a horrible bed that's guaranteed to ruin people stay. For just a few hundred bucks, it could be worlds better than the creaky plastic lined pile I had to sleep on for 2 days.

Very clean and most importantly quiet!! Pool area was nice but pool could have used a cleaning.

My first time ever & I always wanted to see how a log cabin was like. My surprise date w/my boyfriend & here I thought it was just a regular motel/hotel. Surprised me lol! I can assure you it is a safe place bc it is not only gated but the owner of the property is cautious of who his guests are. The rooms are very clean, ac nice & ice cold for this hot Tx heat, & the bed was like I slept like a baby & forgot where I was. I think the rooms were decent size as well as the bathroom.
