Three WinCo Foods Employees Have Tested Positive for COVID-19 | Eater Portland

"According to the Oregonian, two employees at the Tigard WinCo have tested positive for COVID-19; the store learned about the positive tests on Saturday and the employees have been in self-quarantine for at least a week. The company told the paper that the stores have been deep-cleaned since the employees went home. Eater Portland has reached out to WinCo for comment, and the story will be updated as information becomes available." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

WinCo Foods is a fantastic place to shop, especially for those looking to save without compromising on quality. The likelihood of some foods at affordable rates is high, and I think it’s more amazing! The store offers a wide selection of bulk items, fresh produce, meats, and pantry staples all at prices that are hard to beat. What makes WinCo stand out even more is its employee-owned model, which brings a sense of care and commitment to customer service. Shopping here feels both smart and satisfying, making it a go-to destination for budget-conscious shoppers who still want variety and freshness. Likelihood of some foods at affordable rates! I I think it’s more amazing 😻

Visiting from Florida. I'm on a strict food regimen and WinCo filled the bill. Beautiful fresh produce and a great variety of meats and dairy. I feel the store is laid out very well and found everything I needed. They could've had a couple more check out lanes open but on a Tuesday morning I get it. Best of all are the prices! Very comparable to home groceries which isn't usually the case in Lake Oswego, although I went to the Tigard store.

I always go to this winco because it has great options and is pretty cheap. If you need great food and cheap prices I definitely will say this place. The sushi, shrimp, meats, and a lot of other amazing foods are in this wonderful place. The food feels fresh especially the deil/meat and sushi. Even the frozen stuff are great because if you through a lot of the options into a airfrier it can enhance the food. All in all if you want to save money and get amazing food i would definitely recommend this place.

Even though it’s a 20-minute drive from us, we always find it worth the trip to shop at WinCo. They’re open 24 hours, which is incredibly convenient, and their prices are consistently low. It’s great that they offer Western Union services too. Just remember — they don’t accept credit cards, so bring cash, debit, check. Thank you, WinCo, for being such a dependable and affordable option for our business and family needs!

one woman was frustrated with her husband. I've often heard young children crying. most people mind there own business. sometimes young kids playing teasing each other. most of time people quiet etc. very good staff service! product selection usually good. on occasion one product i need, they dont have. oh mann, prices are eeexcellent! waiting in grocery lines is sort of good and not so good. usually checkers doing best they can so line cuts down ok. mission low carb tortillas. pork shoulder roasts and turkey roasts. sure best place in town for price and usually good selection. good to find help.

Great prices, 24 hrs, quick self checkout for 15 items or less. Con: they don't offer shopping baskets--it's pushing a cart, brjng your own basket, or carry items by hand.

I usually shop at the WinCo in Beaverton . I was in Tigard so I went to the Tigard WinCo. The Tigard store is bigger than the Beaverton store, and the people are not as friendly as in the Beaverton store. I don't get the whole being miserable in a customer service job. Do these people not know that they're in the customer service industry? Do they not understand that they're supposed to be helpful and not grumpy and standoffish? More training is definitely required for people that are in the customer service industry across the board WinCo especially Fred Meyers , don't even get me started on Fred Meyers that's a whole nother ball of Wax. Did the tigers WinCo was okay.

The prize here is the bulk section. Need a spice that you don't use enough to justify buying a whole jar? You can get a tablespoon here. Want some roasted chopped almonds for those cookies? How about some beans, peas, and lentils for those cozy fall soups? And then there's the snacking. Gummies, candied nuts, chocolates, sweet or sour, crunchy or smooth. There's also some items here I've not found anywhere else. Sure you can find apple chips in most grocery stores these days. But raspberry apple chips? Blackberry? And they're so good! The prepared foods are also good, at least from what we've tried so far. We have been happy with all of our finds here, and that's no small thing these days. Plus you'll spent about 1/3 less than you will at any other grocery store. And seriously, don't sleep on the apple chips.
