Here’s a Running List of Recent San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant and Bar Closures | Eater SF

"I learned that Windchaser Wine Co. closed its original East Bay location at 1375 Fourth Street in Berkeley to move to an as-yet-unannounced Richmond location after lease issues prompted the owners to find a new venue." - Paolo Bicchieri

Windchaser Wine is a great place to spend an afternoon. They serve up beautiful and distinctly original wines in a comfortable and fun setting. Owner David is kind, funny, and provides great information on his wines and winemaking process. You can expect excellent, varied music on deck. We have been members for some time now and appreciate coming and relaxing for a tasting. Windchaser has some fun cheesy items to pair and also partners with great pop ups for both food and music, making it a full afternoon. Windchaser is very dog friendly and conveniently located a minute off the Bay trail. We often ride our bikes here for an afternoon tasting.

Excellent wine. Love the Chardonnay- very unique and delicious. Also great tasting. Along with the lovely food truck outside serving oysters and lobster rolls. Perfect day !

A really nice tasting room tucked just off the highway in Berkeley. I stopped by for a holiday work event and the place was nicely decorated for the season. I tried one red and one white while I was there. I found both the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris to be very light and tasty in their own ways, and I would strongly recommend the Pinot Gris if you stop by. The tasting room follows common COVID safety guidelines. The staff were all wearing masks, the room was open and well-ventilated, and most attendees wore masks when they weren't eating/drinking.

Nice spot, secluded but easy to get to. Wine is very fine and inexpensive for the quality-pinot noir hot the spot. Music was kickass hot Chicago blues-not an easy thing to find. Really fun. Go here. Type of music might vary-check their website.

I love the tasting experience with Dave personally attending to us on a Sunday afternoon. Apart from the service, the wines are made IMO European style and are extremely food friendly. I have tried extensively to many wine regions in many countries including Northern America, and I can say this place is worth a visit!

Here you’ll find delicious wine. Of course we love that it’s a small batch local operation! The wine is good, and you should try it, like now.

Dave had to relocate from Berkeley and has been making magic happen at this new Richmond location. Check his IG for any musical or food truck options. Just had an amazing weekend w/Rocky Island oysters... yum! 😋

I love Dave, he’s awesome. His wines are legendary. My daughter took her first steps in his winery when my family was in town and we stopped by for a tasting. No matter what is going on in the world Dave is so welcoming in his home away from home. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting or a glass, maybe even a bite, but definitely good music, good vibes, and excellent wine.
