Google
We had a group of 8 and chose the Gran Windsor Chefs menu with the pairing of wines and it was absolutely wonderful. Calm, relaxed location with excellent, professional service. Definitely worth it.

Lovely! Amazing place and great food. The wine selection is very good. Proper Catalan fine dining.

Windsor Restaurant in Barcelona offers an exquisite journey through modern Catalan cuisine with a level of refinement that few can match. From the moment we entered the elegant dining room, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that set the tone for a memorable evening. The menu is a brilliant homage to Catalan gastronomy, combining tradition with innovative twists. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and rich with flavor, showcasing seasonal, local ingredients. The wine list is extensive, with an impressive selection of local Catalan wines that perfectly complemented the meal. The sommelier's recommendations were spot on, enhancing the flavors of each course and elevating the dining experience further. The ambiance at Windsor is both sophisticated and inviting, with a modern, stylish decor that still feels intimate and relaxed. The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, and the staff was knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and wine pairings with ease. Windsor is the ideal place for anyone looking to experience the best of Barcelona’s culinary scene. It’s not just a restaurant, but a celebration of Catalan culture and cuisine, served in an elegant, yet unpretentious setting. Whether you're a local or a visitor, dining at Windsor is an unforgettable experience. Five stars without hesitation!

Very attendive and well trained staff, very polite and with a smile on their face from start to finish. The food is incredible, me and my wife enjoyed their traditional menu and it really was something spectacular. Also, they surprised us with a birthday dessert and it really made our day. Would definitely recommend

Came here with my husband for my birthday. What a treat! Beautiful terrace, lovely staff, delicious food with a touch of elegance! For example the tomato gazpacho with céleri/lime sorbet! The meat was very succulent and tasty! Highly recommend for a different experience to tapas and enjoy the Catalan flavours of a great chef!

Google
I can make better tomato bread at home the eggplant fritters were mushy with no flavor the bread was stale the complimentary chips I can get better from a packet at the super market. The lamb was the only edible dish This restaurant was highly recommended by the concierge at the mandarin oriental but I will never ask concierge again for advice on where to eat I do not understand the reviews as the food was terrible To travel half way around the world and be told this is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona is very disappointing Any tapas bar would have been better

One of the best meals I've had in quite some time. Just absolutely delicious with attentive and helpful service. A bit pricey but I feel there was tremendous value.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and ordered a good amount of food. Overall, the food was decent. The meatball dish was the star; as was the tomato bread with ham. However, the green salad and sea urchin appetizers were only ok. Ambiance-wise, the restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing. The service was alright.. everyone was pleasant but there were some unexpected aspects coming from such an upscale restaurant. For example, dust in the wine glasses, chipped plates (although the chips did seem to be glazed over), and spilled water. In the end, I found this meal to be enjoyable. However, not sure if it is worthy of 4-5 stars.

Yelp
The food was first rate. For appetizers, we had some very tasty cannelloni (a yelper posted a pic) and a raw/marinated tuna & foie gras dish...an unusual combination that was quite enjoyable. For our mains, we had sous vide lamb, Very tasty and pleasant, it was an unusual delivery of lamb...we were even shaking our heads that it was lamb. We also had turbo with fava...simple but well executed. We shared a dessert, their bread with chocolate and olive oil. We understand this to be a common type of dessert grandma would give the kids. This version had both a great texture and flavor. We weren't sold on the olive oil, but were glad we tried it. Service was top notch as well. All the staff were polished, spoke English very well (while not essential, it certainly helps) and friendly. Was it expensive? While not cheap, I believe it was less expensive than if it were located in any other major city. We felt it was reasonably priced and worth the money charged. I'm not certain what to make of the fact that all of the tables of diners who were there when we entered were still there when we left, hours after entering. If you were only going to go to one restaurant in Barcelona, I don't think I would steer you here. But, if like us, you've already had loaves of pan con tomate, legs worth of jamon Iberico, a bathtub of razor clams, a wheel of manchego... and are looking for a bit more sophisticated dining experience, we would wholeheartedly recommend Windsor. It was a wonderful place to spend our last night in Barna!

Yelp
Definitely overrated, overpriced, not as great as it is said to be. Waiters are not very informed, but I did like the sommelier. Food is not that great- Sorry because I wanted to love it.

Yelp
Short on local ambiance but long on sophisticated dishes, for English-speaking visitors, Windsor offers an indulgent treat. The Time Out guide book nailed it when they mentioned that English banker frequent the place. We had just rolled into town that night so we went with it anyway, based on the emphasis on creative cuisine and proximity to our hotel. We loved our meals (chilled ox heart soup -- really -- and foie gras/duck appetizer, then lamb, fish for mains) but rued our seating. We were in clear ear shot of a NJ banker and his wife, regaling colleagues of their hyper-mundane "expat" stories. The wait staff and particularly the sommelier were really outstanding. He gently guided us to a Mauro, an interesting alternative to our standard Riojas. Would still eat here again, apart from the fact that there are dozens of great places yet to explore that would deliver an authentic Spanish/Catalan feel.

Yelp
This place is not just great food it is an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. We had two pitchers of sangria! (2 people) The staff was very professional and attentive, would not let you lift a glass! Though I will say lots of Americans and tourists. Didn't see much locals at this place.

Yelp
It will be a story for me to share at dinner tables around the world. First, the location is nice, the decor is relaxing, and the food is good (not inventive -- not phenomenal -- only good). My toro tuna was overcooked, so I voiced my opinion and I was read the riot acts by the owner as the glimmer of his silver spoon lapel pin caught the light. Instead of making me happy and simply offering to bring the tuna rare (like I had asked) he proceeded to list 8 different reasons why I should eat the 23 Euros dish. He told me the tuna that was caught weight 400 kilos and it was prized in Japan. (Much later I found out on Google that the last large tuna caught weighed only 290 kilos and won the fisherman $1.2 million --- I certainly hope I didn't waste a piece of a million dollar tuna). He stood at our table and gave us a ten-minute monologue on how I do not know anything about toro (tuna belly). THEN... and get this!!!... he takes the plate away, only to bring it back rearranged and places it in front of my husband's face and suggests that my husband should now finish it (after my husband had already eaten dinner) This owner insisted he was doing us a favor. What an insult. BTW: at the end of our meal we still had 35% of our $75 bottle of wine left, he sent a waiter over to remove it from our table unfinished. He did everything to chase us out after I offended his ego. It was the first time I had seen my husband in 3 weeks, and I think we were interrupted at least every 5-6 minutes by a server for something. Definitely not a place to go for quiet intimacy. Windsor could be good, but the owner is on such a high horse he has no idea was "service" is... or perhaps my American/Parisian expectations are just too high. Not Michelin quality.

Yelp
Really good food and an excellent wine list, I have stayed in Barcelona many times and I have tried quite a few hotels and restaurants but this is the best.

Yelp
In Barcelona but wishing you were in New York or San Francisco? This is the place for you. Nice service, nice food, by far the most expensive we have encountered in Barcelona -- and little local flavor. Friends recommended it and my spouse really wanted to try it. It was fine but a dumb way to spend an evening in Barcelona. If you are here for two weeks and get homesick in the middle and feel like you are not spending enough, come here. Food is first-rate, service is nice.
