Worst Reuben I've had in recent memory. That's not constructive, so I'll elaborate. My partner and I ordered through Postmates, and we both got Reuben sandwiches with different side dishes. It was all disappointing. To be fair, the experience may have been better if we'd gone there in person, but those delivered meals were pitiful. The marble rye bread, while of excellent quality, wasn't toasted at all, a peeve of mine. The fillings were minimal, and were slopped onto the bread with no care or effort. The pastrami was clumped in the middle of the sandwich, instead of being evenly distributed, another peeve, and there was very little of it. The pastrami was also tough, of poor quality, and cold. The other ingredients, including the Russian dressing, were practically nonexistent, except for some very horseradish-heavy mustard. I admit that the mustard was delicious, but if I'd wanted mustard, a thing not typically found on a Reuben, I would have requested it. The two meals were way overpriced for what we got.
Now, for the side dishes: The coleslaw was basically just shredded cabbage, and not much else. The cabbage was fresh and of good quality, but there was hardly any carrot, and I couldn't taste any dressing. The side of fruit was, likewise, fresh and of good quality, but it was otherwise unimpressive, the equivalent of a few apple slices and a slice of strawberry.
I'd heard that Windsor was a good restaurant, so we tried it in the midst of a powerful Reuben craving, but we were ultimately disappointed, at least as far as the Reuben, the side of fruit, and the coleslaw were concerned. Many of Windsor's other dishes look tasty, in theory, and we'll probably give the place another try, but they need to do better if they want our continued business.
