I was happy to visit a Chicago restaurant. Alot of Chicagoans were there. The pizza puff was ok. The gyro and Italian beef was underaverage. Unfortunately, they have Chicago food items but the Chitown pizzazz or flavor was missing. Chicago has alot issues but not having Good as food is not one of them. I visited windy city's twice to ensure that I gave a fair assessment. The food tastes like an outsider cooked it. Im sorry I had to say it. But yall still support this restaurant. Im just a Chicago native that has really high standards on authentic Chitown food. Keep the restaurant running by buying from them.

Ordered a gyro with no onions but I still tasted raw onion and I highly dislike but the fries were super hot, fresh and crispy. Service was great.

I'm from Chicago born and raised and this food came really really close. The Italian Beef was fye!! The Maxwell Polish was delicious!!! The pizza puff was good too!! The only thing the mild sauce was bitter not sweet as the original mild sauce and the fries were too thin. Please add American Cheese to your choice of cheese. I usually don't leave reviews but this restaurant has some really good Chi-town food!!!

The best Italian Beef sandwich west of Chicago! It's my favorite but the menu is great from top to bottom! The folks are very nice so the atmosphere is too. You can't make a bad choice.

I moved here from Chicago less than 2 years ago and although I love living here, I came to accept that I will never have a good Italian beef again. Windy City made me eat my words along with one of the best Italian beefs I've had in a long time. I gotta be honest, I was skeptical that this place had the authentic Chicago classics done right but they certainly do. Thanks to Windy City Beef N Dogs, I miss my hometown a little less.

Great food, quick service! Staff is extremely friendly. My husband had a double dipped beef and sausage sandwich which peppers. Never seen a sandwich that huge in my life lol. Great price for the amount of food you are getting. I would definitely go back!

This place is hands down my favorite spot!! I never knew I like hotdogs so much until I came here. Im addicted! Walking in everyone is super nice and greets you, like you're part of the family and just showed up the the bbq. Minus all the hugging. The place is super chill with tons of memorabilia on the walls and really clean. They run specials all month that can get you deals on food and drinks. They don't just have amazing hotdogs they have other foods that look amazing but I'm so addicted to their dogs I haven't ventured off and tried anything else But I trust everything on the menu is bomb.

Tried Windy City yesterday for lunch. We're Vegas locals but have never come in before, man we have been missing out! The service was quick even thought they had a lot of customers. They knew the menu and brought our food out to our table. The lunch rush must have hit right after we ordered because the place filled up! The food was hot and fresh and just like what I had back in Chicago. Need a nice quick lunch this place is cool with all the posters and signs hanging up as well as I enjoyed the ketchup and mustard and napkins already being on the tables. Overall great spot and we will be back again.

There Italian beef was not very good, and there french fries were gross, Like straw fries completly over fried . I have never had fries this bad. I will never go back there!!!

I'm by no means a hot dog connoisseur, but Windy City has me convinced they have the best hot dogs in town. My fiance had been wanting to try this place for the past few weeks and we thought yesterday would be our perfect opportunity. I was so surprised by how great everything was. I really had no expectations going into this place, as I thought it was just a random order at the counter type restaurant, but the staff was amazing. The gentleman was so cool, and explained the difference of some of the hot dogs they had and how they cooked them differently. I thought it was really nice for him to take the time to talk to us about that, because otherwise we would've never had any clue. The food was awesome. I had to try the classic Chicago Hot Dog, obviously, and I was obsessed. It came with tomatoes, relish, a pickle, and peppers and the toppings were generous and tasty. I really really can't wait to come back. They also have this fun calendar where there's a different deal/discount every day. I'll upload a picture of the August 2024 calendar, so hopefully if one of the days applies to you, you can go in a claim your deal!! Definitely recommend stopping in!

This was my third time there. Everytime has been wonderful. The food is always prefect and the basket of fries is just that a basket!!

The customer service is ! The best polish sausage I've had since my last visit to Chicago. This place is authentic and delicious 9 out of 10, I do recommend.

Haven't been here in a while and wanted to try it out again. I ordered wings, fries, a pizza pocket/roll and my husband ordered some kind of beef sandwich. My wings were fried hard, per my request, however my fries were also overdone- which isn't what I wanted... they were also not hot. We waited 25ish min for our food, most likely bc of my wings, so that was a tad much seeing everyone else who came in before us come and go. It's a long and narrow restaurant with seating mainly against the wall. It was clean though. The staff were also pleasant.

My review is more in regards to the online presence... no prices on the menu? I'd have to drive the 25 miles round trip to find out if I can even afford to eat there? Doesn't ring of "welcome" if you ask me. None the less, I will give it a try when I am in that area, and proffer a more comprehensive and knowledgeable review on the fare and actual restaurant. Just my initial 2 cents worth.

There don't seem to be a lot of spots in Vegas that churn out Chicago specialties. Sure, there are a couple of Giordano's. But overall that seems to be about it. Or so I thought! I noticed Windy City Been N Dogs recently and decided to give them a shot on Memorial Day. Hey, I wanted a hot dog but we don't have a grill yet. So let's do it Chicago style! This place definitely feels like an old Chicago hot dog joint. Everyone was super friendly, and the line moved pretty quick. I ordered the #2, which is 2 Chicago dogs with everything and fries. All out the door I think it was about $13. Not a bad price for a taste of home. The fries were solid. I wish they were a little bit hotter, but the serving was pretty fair all things considered. The dogs were absolutely delicious. The sesame seed bun was really soft and tasty, and the dogs had a great snap to them. And it's always great to see that green relish. This really filled me up, I was surprised. The price might be a tad bit high for some, but I didn't have any issue paying it for the quality that you receive. Going to try a polish and a pizza puff the next time I swing by. If it's anything like the dogs, it will be well worth the trip.

Got the Chicago dog and a dipped Italian Beef with a side of giardeniera and it brought me back to memories of the early 00s and living in the South Loop. Keep it up, will be back!

The Chicago Italian Beef sandwich was tender, juicy deliciousness. We ordered wet and the hotest level of heat...it was perfect. Although, the bread was wet we were still able to pick up. The french fries were not good, we asked for crispy but they were overdone. The cashier was nice. The server was very attentive to our needs. There was so much history displayed on the walls very nice.

Local spot always hits, they're serious Chicago dogs like the ones you find in grant park... takes me back every time you go fall in the line order snd step to the side and wait depending on the time you go it can be a few minutes because it is made to order.

Fries are gross...they obviously never change their oil! I kept trying, hoping they would figure it out. Now I'm DONE!!!

Ambiance, very lovely. All the Chicago memorabilia and decor is lovely! Now, as a Chicago native born and raised. This Italian beef is disappointing and will never be ordered again! In all my life I have never had an Italian beef I had to eat with a FORK! And trust me we OFTEN get our beef dipped with extra au jus. This bread is not it. Got soooo soggy it taste like raw dough the most appetizing part of the meal was the skinny French fries. Woman at register was friendly. Chicago peeps, beware!

As always Windy Cory has the best dogs and beefs in town. We visit often the staff is alway friendly and aerobics is always quick. Gotta love the decor as well.

My hometown is Chicago. I grew up in a City known for its variety of different ethnic foods and cuisines. Italian Beef Sandwiches are one of my favorites. Today, my cousin, also a native Chicagoan, and I had to get our Italian beef sandwich fix! We are both very picky about our Italian beef sandwich! It has to be authentic, Chicago style! Windy City Beefs N Dogs delivered again perfectly! We have been getting our beefs and hot dogs there for the last five years and have never been disappointed. I had the 7" beef, wet with sweet peppers and extra au jus. An order of perfect French Fries and a soda were added. My Cousin ordered a beef and sausage combo with a side of au jus and giardinere, fries and a drink. Needless to say, we both sat at an outside table and devoured our delicious lunches! If you need a Chicago beef sandwich or Hot Dog fix, Windy City is the place to go and get it!!!

One of the BEST Hotdogs I've had in a while. This is only 10 minutes from my house but today I decided to go in and it was GREAT. THE HOTDOG has a casing that actually snaps just like back east. The bun is steamed to perfection and the toppings are just right.

A disappointment today at WCBND; I've been once before and enjoyed the polish dog but today a much different story. First the good: Fantastic fries, freshly cut and plentiful. The chili was tasty, mild but good. The hot dog roll like the fries are in a league of its own so there are some positives here. Now the bad: The centerpiece of my footlong chili cheese dog with onions was two, six inch dogs that had clearly been sitting too long, probably in a warm pot of water. These dogs had a weird palor to them and were devoid of any flavor, none. notta. I was having late lunch around 3pm so that may explain some of this? Service is fast and personable and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about but perfectly adequate. I'll try them again sometime but in no rush to do so.

Went there today for the first time in some time. Had the number 2, which is two dogs and fries. If you like a Chicago dog, these are on point. The fries were nice and crisp and quite good. The service is all at the counter and they bring it to your table. A nice meal.

The customer service is less to be desired. I was there at 9:56 and was told We have five more minutes. It's 102 outside and I was locked out for 4 minutes. As far as food, being from Chicago it is a taste of home. The corned beef was the only complaint. Not enough. panini style. I won't come as often anymore. But maybe if I'm feeling home sick.

Omg this place is fire! My father Inlaw was in town for the weekend and being a Chicago native, he just had to try Windy City Beefs N Dogs. I got the best of both worlds which consisted of a Chicago style hotdog, and a 3' Italian beef, as well as fries. My wife got the spicy polish sausage with bacon, and my son got wings and a free hotdog for wearing a knights hoodie. The food was amazing my beef dipped in the Au Jus was one of The best things I've tasted. This was the first time having a Chicago style hotdog s worth everything on it and I loved it! It's nothing like a California street dog but it's definitely something that everyone should try. The hot wings are crunchy and are traditional buffalo wings they are hit my family loves wings. The start of the show has to be the Polish my wife added bacon because why not lol and when I say this is the best sausage I have ever eaten I was blown away! the peppers, onions, and bacon mixed in with the spicy polish is the thing to order! All in all I decently recommend you checking this place out and I look forward to going again.

I can't believe all this time I didn't know about this place ! I lived in Chicago back in 1995 and 1996 and I miss a good Italian Beef with the Hot Giardiniera . I use to go to a place a long time ago near the old drive in , but it is long gone . Other places I have tried over the years just couldn't get it right . Well , Windy City has got it goin' on ! I am so happy and will definitely be coming back and bringing the family . You can get it Dry with the Au Jus on the side , Wet , or Dipped . I got it Dry with the Au Jus on the side and used about half of it and that was plenty . It was good and juicy and I went through 3 napkins , so perfect . Ha ha . The Hot Giardiniera was on point and made my left nostril start to run a little , so perfect again . So happy to find this place . The service was great and friendly and the place was busy with lots of to go orders and almost full tables . The French Fries was plenty and good . The decor is typical of a real Chicago diner with lots and lots of memorabilia on the walls covering everything . Cubs , White Sox , Blackhawks , etc . I would highly recommend coming here . My son is ready to come here , he said he has been craving the Chicago Style Hot Dogs . See ya soon .

Ok, so we came for the beef sandwich and it was good. Personally, Portillo's is a bit better. But the Chicago dogs SUPERB. Friendly staff and quick service. Place was clean, comfortable and menu was straight to the point. I would def come back and recommend this place. Also, because my first name was in the board got a free hotdog

I happened to drive by this place and had to stop for lunch. Went to the counter and asked the staff what the most popular Oder was, as I was feeling adventurous. They suggested #4. WindyCity'sBestofBothWorlds-ViennaHotDog and a 3"BeefSandwich&Fries to try both specialties. It was super delish! The pepper mix added to the beef sandwich was heaven and the hot dog was amazing.

First time coming into this place, workers here greeted me kindly and attentively. Got a number #16. 12" Vienna footlong maxwell street polish and fries. First time trying an east coast dog. Definitely was delicious also I love the decor of the establishment as well. The dog was so good and I will definitely come back here solo or with a group. Thanks!

Sandwiches were good Italian beef was a bit too soggy, but had to get it that way if we wanted the cheese to be melted on the beef, as we were told by the very rude cashier!! price On the Maxwell street has gone up a bit but was delicious even though the rude cashier never asked if I wanted cheese on it. Will give them one more chance then it will be off to try another place!

4 1/2 out of 5. A great late lunch/early dinner. Their attention to detail and their homage to all things Chicago is strongly attested to by the quality of their food. They offer Vienna Dogs, steamed sesame buns, sports peppers, and Chicago attitude that quickly whisks you away to the Windy City. We had a Chicago Dog, as authentic as you can get. A+. We also tried the Spicy Maxwell Street Polish & Fries... another winner. My Wife noticed a daily special next to the register. If your name is Susie, you get a free Chicago Dog. She did... cool idea. Highly recommend if you are looking for a taste of Chicago.

I love the Italian Beef and cheese fries! There are so many cool Chicago things - sports memorabilia, old style signs, a map of Chicago with pins, and the perfect small, casual Chicago style restaurant. It's wonderful! Highly recommend!!!

So one of the cooks washed her hands, then blew her nose, then took off her glasses and cleaned them. Went back to the cooking station and coughed into her arm fold a couple of times and then put on gloves. Not the most hygienic process. The pizza puff was the most bland I have ever had. No definitive taste. Just a flavorless tomato sauce and cheese. The wings were naked party wings dropped fresh with no seasoning at all. Get sauce when ordering. Prices are not even close to comparable to Chicago's prices for the same items. I just have to fly home to get my Chicago food fix.

Authentic and delicious! This place has been here for years and we always drove by it not realizing what it was. Once we checked it out, we were hooked. We go there at least every other week.

I heard about this place from a coworker, and i finally had to pop in. I went to Yelp for help since they didn't have any pictures. I got the first thing i saw, and it was an Italian beef sandwich. I got mine wet with no cheese and jalapeño. GET the jalapeño. It makes the great sandie even better. They aren't hot hot, but add a mild kick. This sandwich is big, so i thought I'd save half for later. I was very wrong. Once you start, you cant stop. Im now in a happy food coma, ready for a nap. It has an amazing bold flavor and very messy. We all know some of the best foods are messy and this is one of them.

Went yesterday to pick up lunch. Got the Windy City Italian beef sandwich (no peppers, dipped) for the husband and the tamale w/chili & cheese and the gyro for me. Husband really enjoyed his beef sandwich. The tamale was OK - not homemade (dunno why I thought it would be) but the chili was tasty. As far as the gyro, just don't. That's what I get for breaking my own rule about not veering from whatever a restaurant is known for/specializes in. It wasn't horrible but not worth the calories. Found out after ordering that you can order the beef sandwich dry and request the au jus on the side, which would be much better for to-go orders. The place was clean and the woman that helped me was nice and courteous. Would definitely go back for their must-gets, like the beef sandwich and the hot dogs. Plenty of parking. Located in a big shopping center on the northeast corner of Buffalo and Lake Mead.

It's been years since I've gone to Windy City Beefs N Dogs. The food here is absolutely amazing! It's so delicious! Nothing has changed since my last visit except maybe a few items modified on their menu. Windy City Beefs N Dogs is located off of the 95/Lake Mead exit. It's located at a outside plaza next to several other businesses such as Panda Express and Sprouts. There is plenty of parking available. Inside Windy City Beefs N Dogs, the ambiance is lively! There is plenty of tables to sit at inside Windy City Beefs N Dogs. Scattered across their walls is a variety of photos and Chicago Sports themed posters. There is also a TV available to watch the sports games that are playing, live. After reviewing their menu, we had ordered the following to eat at Windy City Beefs N Dogs [1] Combo Meal: #7: Windy City's Double Burger & Fries. (2) Mouth watering 100% All Beef Patties with Lettuce, Onions, Tomato & Pickles. Served on a Sesame Seed Bun. I opted to exclude the Lettuce, Onions, and Tomato on the burger. [1] Combo Meal: #13: Windy City's Combo A Chicago Style Italian Beef & Sausage Sandwich. Thin slices of Freshly Cooked Italian Beef piled high on top of the Italian Sausage served on a Chicago Italian Bread. We requested the sandwich to be "wet". You could also opt for the Sandwich to be "dry" or "dipped" The food came out relatively quickly, within 10 minutes upon ordering. The meal was inexpensive as well, approximately $30.00 for the entire order. The Windy City Double Burger was scrumptious! Just wow! It truly was mouth watering and yummy! Though, I think I should have just ordered a single patty as I was unable to finish my meal! The burger patties were huge and the ingredients tasted so fresh! I'll come back to Windy City to get a burger again! The Windy City Chicago Style Italian Beef & Sausage sandwich is one of the best in the city. Since we ordered it "wet," it was a good idea to eat the sandwich at the restaurant instead of taking the order to go. It was messy, but was bursting with flavor! All of the ingredients meshed well together. The French Fries were the skinny style, salted to perfection, and tasted great! This was another wonderful meal at Windy City Beefs N Dogs. If you haven't had a chance to try out this restaurant, you need to go, immediately! It's one of the best Chicago Style Italian Beef sandwich shops in Las Vegas!

If you want a taste of Chicago, this is the place to get your fix. From Italian beef to Italian sausage, you can't get much closer than the Chi when it comes to a nice wet roll. Their fries come out hot and crispy. The Italian beef is steaming hot. The Au Jus and Marinara, come out blazing hot. Everything is extremely fresh and delicious.

Now when a person orders chicken here, Chicken Wings will be prepared instead of Chicken Fingers, unless the customer specifically requests Chicken Fingers. Otherwise things were pretty much unchanged since my last visit. A Large Italian Beef Sandwich "dipped" with Sweet Peppers and quickly melted Mozzarella Cheese before adding some ketchup was truly drenched in au jus as desired. And, a juicy Vienna Beef Chicago-style Hot Dog with small Sport Peppers, a slice of tomato, Yellow Mustard, chopped onions, and Emerald Relish was a classic facsimile of the revered Chicago Dog. Skinny French Fries were very tasty. And unsweetened Iced Tea tasted authentic with artificial sweeteners. Meanwhile, Diane enjoyed her Chicken Fingers and Fries. After all outdoor seating was gone, the personable and caring owners brought us plastic baskets to hold our food when moving to dine indoors. It was cool and clean inside. Another satisfying and filling meal reminiscent of some of the best fare Chi-Town has to offer! XXXX-1/2 overall!

I have been going to the location on Lake Mead since they opened. I am originally from Chicago. I always purchase either the Maxwell Street Polish, the hotdogs, or the Italian Beef (Wet or Dipped). It really reminded me of home. My husband and I went to get the Maxwell Street Polish, the Italian Beef, and we purchased a jar of relish on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 and it was very disappointing. The Italian Beef use to have a lot of beef but now it's not worth the price. It appears you only get the Italian beef scraps and a lot of bun. The foot long Polish was even smaller. I don't think I will be returning to any Windy City Beefs N Dogs in Las Vegas. The price and the amount of food you get is not worth it!!!!! The pictures on this site are deceiving. I wish I had taken a photo, but I was so disappointed and forgot. I usually recommend this place to my coworkers in the area. NEVER AGAIN!

Love a good Chicago dog. Went here on a recent business trip. Great dogs and a great price.
