What a cool little wine bar and shop. Nice varied selection of wines by the glass, and we liked our choices so much that we decided to take home a bottle of each. Joe from Napa was super friendly and we enjoyed spending the evening here before a great dinner down the street at Malagon. They even held our bottles there so we didn’t have to carry them to the restaurant, and we just picked them up on our way back home before they closed. Drop by and give them a visit!

We were looking to get out of the chaos of King Street and this place was a welcome change. Joe from Napa was fantastic and gave us a great evening. Not only knowledgeable about wines, he was a great conversationalist and absolutely made our visit special.

We stayed in Charleston for a week and went to Wine & Company twice because it was so great. During summer months (I imagine it gets busier in the fall/winter), if you want a really chill place to relax and have some phenomenal wine, this is the place. We had our toddler with us and they were super cool about it. Also, we appreciated the depth of knowledge of the staff. They REALLY know their stuff and take it seriously. At the same time, they are not stuffy or pretentious. Just good knowledge, people and wine. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wine and Company, and I can't say enough good things about it! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a quiet evening. The staff truly stand out with their exceptional service; they are knowledgeable, passionate about wine, and incredibly welcoming. They took the time to recommend selections tailored to my taste, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The diverse wine list is impressive, featuring both classic gems and new-on-the-scene wines I hadn’t heard of before. If you're looking for a place that combines great wine with a friendly vibe, Wine and Company is a must-visit!

We had a wine tasting for a bachelorette party and it was really the highlight of the weekend. Josh was fun and knowledgeable and we all left with more understanding of wine preferences and regions. Could not recommend him and his store more for a fun experience when in Charleston. Also the cheeseboard is out of this world.

Great atmosphere. Wines and Charcuterie were incredibly delicious Landry was an excellent server and shared some fun conversation with our group, and made our visit an incredible experience. We will definitely visit again.

Amazing Engagement Party Venue My friends and I just threw a swanky gathering for approx 30 ppl at Wine & Company and I couldn't be happier! Josh and his adorable wife Molly are the sweetest and so easy to work with. They made throwing this party an absolutely breeze. The space is lovely. We had such a grande time sipping all sorts of champagne, prosecco, sparkling pinks and roses, and some really cool fermented bubbles that you could only open under water. If you are into sours, go see Josh. They have such a unique and delicious selection, were incredibly knowledgeable, and those meat & cheese boards, oh my! I look forward to throwing another event with them.

While King Street tends to attract the crowds, Meeting Street has hidden little gems like Wine & Company. One part wine bar, one part wine shop, and three parts charm Wine and Company has small bites, a large bar, and a few other tables. It is a place that gets crazy busy fast and then can unwind to mellowness just as quick. One thing that I absolutely loved was the huge variety of descriptive flights. I will never know wine like a real wine drinker, but I love a descriptive flight - sweet, bubbly, bold, unique, etc. It made it easier for me to order something new and genuinely like all of it. The service here is exceptional. This is a community location and their service eptimozes it as they worked the space together. No one person helped me - they jumped in as needed. I watched them walk around the space engaging people and helping. No one stayed still, it was a lot of activity constantly. Out of all the wine bars I drank at in Charleston this was my favorite.

Josh is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. I came in to taste some wines with a friend and he was super helpful and friendly in picking out some wines for us. The place is super cute, plenty of seating available and an amazing variety of wines. I look forward to becoming a regular here. Cheers

We discovered wine and company through a wine club. So glad we did! We did the Tuesday wine tasting and it was a great experience. We were able to taste 5 different wines for $10. We were then able to take a bottle home from the tasting and take off the $10 fee. We really liked the bar and the ambiance but we were disappointed in attention to detail by the bartenders. We ordered wine by glass after the tasting and the pours were not what was to be expected by glass. In addition, our bill was higher than expected. They don't give a print out bill which makes it tricky to figure out if the bill is accurate. I really want to return but want to make sure the bill is calculated fairly. We want to enjoy the wine and tasting without stressing that the final bill will be fairly calculated.

It's been awhile since I've been here, but I highly recommend if you're looking for great wine in a relaxing atmosphere. Wine & Company is located downtown Charleston and you can park in the bank parking lot, across the street, after they close which makes it really convenient. It's very spacious and has a classy vibe. They offer tastings on Tuesdays and you can't beat the price. Be sure to follow them on Instagram to be aware of the wines being offered each week. They have many different options available for their charcuterie boards. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The owner, Josh, and his staff are some of the nicest people around. I remember him from another wine bar I'm Summerville before he opened this place. Be sure to check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing service, Awesome food selections, Vast wine selection. I have been many times and I will continue to come back. 10/10 experience and the ambiance is unmatched.

We came here to grab a snack and a drink before a late dinner reservation. The flights were interesting and we both tried something we hadn't before. The charcuterie plate was a nice accompaniment. Very pretty but laid back atmosphere. Wonderful service.

We are still fairly new to the wine scene and were taking our daughter in on her 21st so she could learn a little more herself. The layout was very chill and comfortable. Kinda expected it to be a little snooty but it was exactly the opposite. The staff was very friendly, inviting, and went out of their way to guide us through selecting something we would enjoy. Pretty sure this is going to be a must stop for my wife and I when we are in Charleston.

Love love love this spot. It very cozy casual spot to enjoy wine. People working there and super friendly . I am not much of a wine drinker and there are always nice enough to let me try something and recommend stuff. They have $10 wine tasting Tuesday's and free if you buy a bottle. They have awesome producers and wine for different regions you could try. Great for a wind down from a crazy work day. Parking downtown might be a little tricky but they are lots right opposite the location.

Absolutely cannot say enough nice things about this place. Took a friend here for a wine tasting and we were blown away. - Sommelier was very knowledgeable and entertaining - Service at the bar was excellent - wine itself was very good - lovely decor that felt very cosy and inviting Definitely planning to take my wine-o mother here next time she's in town.

Met some girl friends for the wine tasting tonight, which was a pretty good deal $10 for 5 different wines. We really didn't care for the first sparkling rose but loved the reds. We ordered a few cheeses and meats along with the hummus. The hummus was delicious! We will be back for the next wine tasting!

This is a super cute wine bar we stumbled upon during a bachelorette weekend recently. It started raining and this popped up as close by so we thought what the heck, let's give it a go. Walking in, there is a nice wrap around bar and a few tables along with shelves and shelves of wine. The menu is pretty vast, but this was our first stop for our weekend celebration so champagne it was. The rosé recommended was great. It's a combo wine shop because you can purchase the wine they have displayed as well. This was definitely a great surprise stumbling upon and I'll have to keep in mind when downtown to stop in again.

Josh, the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating with his southern hospitality! Great selection of wines by the glass. Even my picky husband was able to find something that even he loved. Also got a charcuterie board with two cheeses and 2 meets with bread and accoutrements. For a light snack, the pickled veggie bowl is so tasty. Great job and next time we are in Charleston, we will be sure to return and also recommend to any friends visiting as well.

A group of us visited Charleston for a girls trip and we went to Wine & Co for a wine tasting and it was good. Matt was our guide and he was absolutely great. He let us know all our options and explained all the different wine flights to us. The flights were not too pricey and definitely worth the money. The only issue we had is that we wanted to be able to mix and match wines from different flights and that was not an option--even with wines that cost the same amount. Never the less, the place was clean, nice & open. Would definitely visit again.

Perhaps this is an off night. But we had a horrible experience. We first walked in around 830 PM on a Wednesday evening, the individual behind the counter seemed confused. Didn't greet us but asked what we were looking for. I guess that might be an acceptable response as they seemed familiar with those who came in picking up bags of pre ordered wine etc. The only wine was the types of wines listed on a black small board in the corner. When I asked where the Cabernet was from. We were told that it was California. When we inquired further about which region of California, he responded with Northern and pressing further we mentioned well different regions like Sonoma or Napa will have different notes and although he agreed didn't clarify which region it was. My thoughts on a wine bar is that the individuals working there should be able to answer basic questions such as what they're serving and even be able to educate me further on wine. This was an awkward dismal experience with an oddly unsettling quiet atmosphere and a poor layout with areas too bright and some too dark and some areas too empty while others too crowded. Leaving disappointed and the evening excitement killed we decided to go back to our hotel for the evening. Would not recommend.

I was gifted a private wine tasting for a group of 8 girls and it was INCREDIBLE. The place had such a good vibe-modern yet still gave you wine cellar character. Josh was so entertaining and dumbed wine down for a group that knew very little about wine-although he definitely knew a ton and could tailor to a more wine educated group. The wines were all excellent and even came with cheese and bread which was equally as delicious. He allowed questions and was interactive with the group. He gave genuine tips and didn't try to sell you on anything. Learned so much! Such a great gift idea or way to do something different with a small group! Will definitely be back!

This is a great spot to come with your girlfriends. The wine is delicious as well as the meats and cheese. The staff was very attentive and great nearby parking. Recommended for sure!

I came across Wine & Company while trying to find a wine tasting in Charleston for a bachelorette trip and this ending up being the highlight of our weekend! We walked in and were welcomed with champagne, as well as a beautiful table set up with 5 tastings and charcuterie for our 10 guests. Josh was so accommodating and personable and really made our experience so fun and informative! We were able to hang out as long as we wanted and the amazing staff took care of us after and helped us select bottles to purchase. We will definitely come back next time we visit Charleston and thank you to Josh and the staff for an amazing experience!!

We went in our last day for Full Eclipse event trip, the service was spectacular just like the full eclipse experienced! Josh the owner was friendly and easy to talk. He would encourage us to sample a few wine before purchasing... I would definitely recommend my wine lover friends to stop by when visiting Charleston. Here's my storyline: Once upon in my lifetime, I dreamt of owning a wine & yoga business. This place was the closest concept that I could relate to, a perfect size wine bar with a great space for Yoga & Wine atmosphere! Namaste & Sip!

It's always WINE:30 at this Midtown wine shop and bar. This open industrial space offers different seating options like the comfy bar, table seating, and comfy couches. Nibble on charcuterie while enjoying a glass or a flight. The wine menu is listed by flavor profile like Bubbly, Fresh, Floral, Funky, Rich, Sweet, Juicy, Dense, and Sticky which makes ordering easy. I love their huge glass stemware.

This place has everything you could want from a wine bar! Love all the personal touches on the venue too. From the cypress doors that are over 400 years old! To the perfectly treated and finished hand made bar top. Can't wait to see how this place does with its location.

Excellent service. We tried 7 different wines between the two of us and loved all of them. The cheese selections are also great. Couldn't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved Wine & Company! The atmosphere was charming and cozy. Traveling and eating alone can be daunting, but the owner and staff were so hospitable. Great wine selections and charcuterie board! It was great to try some new wines that I hadn't seen before. The owner also took the time to recommend other eateries and attractions during my visit. Please visit Wine & Company-you won't want to leave!

Went to a wine tasting sponsored by a local, small distributor for "The Best Wines You Have Never Heard Of." What a great time we had! The wines were all outstanding, and the distributor knew not only the story of the winemakers themselves but the stories of the grapes as well. The tasting was $25, served alongside delicious and large charcuterie boards. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to purchase the wines we had tasted. They were all reasonably priced and a very good value for their price point. Josh, the owner, is wonderful. From the moment I called to inquire about parking (across the street behind the healthcare clinic after 5pm or underneath in Elan Midtown there are two spaces available) to when we were greeted with wine when we arrived early for the event.. you can tell he is so passionate about wine and about being a small business owner. I'm sad that it took me this long to realize Wine & Co existed but now that I do, you won't find me buying wine from large retailers ever again locally. I can't wait to go back for another tasting event!

I will re-review when I try it outside of an event, but I went to one of their wine tastings recently and it was fun! I think there were way more people than they expected, it was extremely crowded and a little seemingly unorganized. I think a cap on the number of people and more of a schedule to things would be nice - i.e. pour a wine and then talk about it. The owners, however, are super nice! Lots of wine options, what looked like a great charcuterie selection, and you could get a glass without breaking the bank.

This place is amazing!!! We did a wine tasting and Josh and the staff there were so knowledge and offered the best experience for our group!! I highly recommend as a place everyone should go to in Charleston!

This is seriously one of the best shops to visit in Charleston! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Josh is an amazing host and the atmosphere is top shelf! The charcuterie board is out of this world with select cheeses and premium meats paired with delicious fruits and nuts - something your taste buds never saw coming! You will love every delectable moment.

This place is FANTASTIC and I HIGHLY recommend it. Josh and Molly (the owners) are just splendid people and they've opened a wonderful bar. They're so personable and have great recommendations. Normally, when we go there, we don't even order from the menu - we just give them a few thoughts and they pick out something great for us. I really appreciate people who know their beer / wine / cheese / charcuterie well enough that the recommendations are sincere (and great!) Their selection of beer and wine is unmatched. Don't come here looking for a Bud Light from a can - they hand-select all of their beer and wine from unique breweries and wineries, many that I've never heard of before. Their cheese and charcuterie are similar - they can offer such great recommendations from their unique selection, and they pair each with an accompaniment (fig, local jam, etc) that is just perfect with the cheese / charcuterie pair. The interior is so welcoming - I love the hand-made tables and the beautiful wood bar! Their creativity is apparent in the neat wall hangings and really unique light fixtures. The super high ceilings make it feel so open and bright. Visit, often, it's worth it!

This place was amazing. I'm so glad we found it. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and decided to swing by here after a tour at Fort Sumpter. It was the perfect place for a light afternoon snack and a cocktail. The decor is sleak, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and fresh. I love different combinations of cheeses, meats and garnishes that are atypical. The wine was also really good. The prices were super reasonable too. I even bought a couple bottles of wine to go. The owner, Joshua, said they were only open a week. I wish them the best of luck. He was very personable and kind. He spent some time with us, chatted and really made us feel at home. The shop is in a great location. With food and wine like that, I would definitely recommend stopping by. When I'm back in Charleston, I will visit them again. Top of the line food, wine and service.

Came here for a wine tasting with a bachelorette party and had an INCREDIBLE time. The owner, Joshua, gave us simple, detailed, energetic, and easy to follow descriptions of our wines. He made those explanations super relatable and easy to understand. The atmosphere was really nice as well. Great for small and large groups! Highly highly recommend.

If you want to impress your honey and go to one of the most luxurious and romantic spots in town, then you have to take her to Wine & Company. The wines are divine and the yummy charcuterie are just as impressive!! The cheeses were amazing paired with bread, meats and little surprises like hibiscus crystals, sweet walnuts, apples, chocolate coffee, jam and pickled okra. For dessert, try the amazing local chocolate, too! The staff are friendly, warm and very knowledgeable! The owner, Josh, will treat you like family! I would highly recommend this wine bar!! You will not be disappointed and you won't want to leave! We had such a wonderful time!!

Wow! This place is great. Excellent wine AND surprise beer selection. Fair prices, really super friendly service. Good vibes and snack menu! We didn't eat when we were there last weekend, but will definitely come hungry next time. Great addition to the Charleston bar scene.

I managed to come here on opening night.. Beautiful modern tasteful decor with a big bar where you can cozy up to & peruse the beautiful wine & limited beer menu, along with a Charcuterie Menu. The ambiance is classy and in no way pretentious. The staff are only too eager to help you find that perfect wine with out the snobbery that can come sometimes with wine bars. I indulged in some Verve Cliquot in the beautiful VC flutes. This place is great to meet up for drinks before dinner, or a glass of wine after dinner. The owner has an in depth knowledge of both USA wines & worldwide wines, always a plus and he was very eager to teach, if you are so inclined. It is also a great spot to come after work for a few with bosses, customers or just some girlfriends. I loved the variety of accouterments on the Charcuterie menu. I also loved the Wine Storage on the left of the bar.. very tastefully done with the working movable ladder. Parking.. if you have to drive.. There is a Bilo next door.. so you can park there!! I will def return here. It is a family run business & my hope is that it does well. I love to support the small businesses in our area.

Awesome selection of wines at great prices. We bought a couple bottles and hung out there with friends. Great atmosphere and the sommelier really knew his stuff.

This is one of my favorite wine bars in Charleston. The selection is amazing and the customer service is great, and they are ALWaYS open at the last minute even with a hurricane is coming!
