Hello?! It's all in the name. Wine and waffles! I came solo when I needed some quiet time right when they opened and had this bowl of sangria which was really good. I also had the waffle fries and chicken and waffle sliders with maple syrup! And the wakes are the same ones served at Ole's Waffle Shop next door if I an not mistaken. And they are passkey the best waffles I've ever had. Very homemade. Yum! Fun music playing and nice waitress. She checked on me just enough. They are actually having an event tonight pairing Girl Scout cookies with wine which sounds fun.

Google
Wonderful! Good food, good service, and great price. My family came here for my sister's birthday and brought our lil doggie along too. They put 2 tables together fo us and there was a water bowl and biscuits available for our dog. Everything we orsered was fantastic and they were very attentive. Make sure to try their waffle concoctions with a fine wine.

Google
Incredibly dismissive service; waited some 40 minutes just for one order of dessert waffles to go with our wine (and the wine was the only acceptable part). Clearly weren't interested in serving us well - everyone else got water and we didn't, for example. Waffles were tiny and soggy. Avoid at all costs.

Love love love this little place on Alameda. The staff is awesome helps suggest things if your not for sure which wine or even food to order. They also serve a selection of beer. There happy hour is even available on the weekends which gives you a good sample of things that are popular from food to wine that you may be interested in trying. I'd definitely come back heard it cab get crowded certain days of the week. We'll worth my early Saturday evening.

Google
It was very nice there! Waffles and drinks were great. Have to come back for dinner soon.

Outstanding atmosphere. Tasty food and great wine rotation. Great and welcoming staff. I love the place

Google
Usually great service, great wine, good food and you can order from Oles next door. I've only had one bad experience when our food was cold and service was not great. Definitely a great spot at night.

Google
Cool spot, outside seating available with heaters. Inside had live piano music. Great food!

Yelp
This is a cute and comfortable place to dine! Very beautiful decor and dusky like furniture! Is antique chic! The servers were awesome! They were so customer service oriented. This is very rare these days... most servers are all about getting you fed and get out, but our servers were sweet. The food was as expected! Diner like food... we didn't order waffles or anything like that because we wanted lunch. The wine selection was hefty! Street parking and a parking garage close by! Very Clean restrooms.

Yelp
Great food and I highly recommend! I forgot to take a picture of the waffle and fried chicken skewers but they were amazing!!! I've never had chicken and waffles before though . We all enjoyed our drinks and food and did not feel rushed though they were pretty busy on a Sat morning. Also very cozy environment with comfy seats and good background music. I'll definitely be back! Only drawback is the bar does not have hard liquor and I would very much welcome such!

Yelp
Wine and waffles never disappoints.. I came here a few times and never left unsatisfied.. Never had wine and waffles but hey.. it's been a few years of coming here and it just get better..consistent service and food what more could you ask for.. the staff is always nice and knowledgeable.. this past Saturday I had the best time and was able to try a chocolate port omg it was delicious .. I would have never tried it but hey the guy who was serving me gave it to me when I paid.. it was so delicious.. I can't wait to come back especially to enjoy the backyard patio.. .. This burger on the croissant bun.. soo yummy if it just had bacon.. I would brag a lil more lol.. I also enjoyed my glass of wine

Yelp
I went to Wine and Waffles yesterday (Friday night) and my partner and I wanted to hang out at their new beer garden. There was a DJ and a lovely outdoor setup including QR codes for ordering. They had a great wine, beer, cocktail menu (we got beer), and waffle fries and the cod. Everything was delicious and the service was really friendly, attentive, and helpful. Check it out! And with the lovely weather, hang out at their outdoor back beer garden!

Savanna M.

Yelp
The food was soooo good! We had the saffron arancini and the short ribs, both had amazing flavor profiles. The service is so attentive and we have not felt rushed at all. We even received a complementary shot of chocolate liquor before we left. This is one high class establishment! Please take note Alameda, and come out to support this unique space!

Yelp
Good wine, great staff and a cool vibe here ...hadn't been in a couple years but went this past weekend...there was a R&B trio there who really made the night out ..the food is hit/miss IMO but we did enjoy a few apps they made us ..highly recommend

Yelp
Came during brunch time. Customer service wasn't the best it took awhile to receive our food and at the time there was only one other table. Wine flight was good however before even explaining the wines I could have waiter said she had to check which wine was open ( what if I wanted a unopened wine) Plus- chicken waffle combo comes with a mimosa , chicken was good waffle came out but wasn't hot but I didn't want to wait longer so I just left it Also ordered filet mignon Benedict which steak was over cooked so it was ok. Overall it was worth the try maybe the dinner is better

Yelp
I know the restaurant is called Wine and Waffles, but they serve sooo much more than that! They recently switched up their chef and the new menu changes more frequently, so there's usually something new and tasty to try when you visit. I'm a huge fan of the saffron arancini and their beef short rib, and the fried chicken is super flavorful. The service is always great and it's quick and easy to put your order in with the QR code. In terms of ambience, they always have different events going on throughout the week like karaoke or live music every weekend and the patio in the back with games and beer pong. It's a great option for a date night or if you just want to chill with friends in the back patio. Right now they are open for dinner service but hoping they'll open for brunch sometime soon!

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite wine bar in the east bay. Perfect for date night or a quiet night with friends. Service is always super nice and accommodating. My date and I walked in at 8:15, and we're still seated right away and provided with the same great service. Since it is a smaller place, wine selection is pretty limited especially if you order by the bottle. However, food is always delicious. The servers here are not only super nice, but also know their stuff! Not a huge food menu, but super solid. The cheese plates are huge! Pro tip: always add on the dry salami or prosciutto to elevate the cheese plate. The sliders are amazing. The patty is super juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. The buns are pillowy soft and add a slight sweetness which complimented the patty. The mac and cheese is a must for every visit. Be sure to enjoy it when it comes out though because when the cheese is too cooled, it might taste clumpy. I wouldn't mind more cheese but the jalapeños were perfect in this. ALWAYS get dessert. It's not pictured but the waffles are seriously on another level. I think the only drawback to this place is that it closes too early haha.

Yelp
WHEN: Friday @6pm I had no idea that Wine & Waffles and Ole's have the same owner and runs out of the same kitchen! I've been wanting to try the Mac n cheese but since they are only open weekends (Thursday-Sunday), I can only order it then. I called Ole's to place my order from both restaurant. Since this is Wine & Waffles, I'll only talk about the items I ordered from that menu: PRETZEL CHEESEBURGER SLIDERS - $10 Two sliders on pretzel buns with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato. Honey dijon served on the side. Both sliders were a good size, and I was very much looking forward to this--especially that Honey Dijon sauce! However, it was so bland. There was barely any cheese. I think the beef patty was overdone and not seasoned. I slathered so much honey dijon on it and it didn't do anything. But I liked the pretzel bun, since it was soft like brioche. I think more cheese with mayo and ketchup may have helped make it tastier. JALAPENO BACON MAC N' CHEESE - $10 Spicy 8 cheese sauce with Jalapeno & Bacon mixed in. I didn't expect this to be a full serving--I thought it was a side like most restaurants would serve. There was a lot here and for only $10!? You can see the all the bacon, the slices of jalapeño, and the the shaved parmesan on top. I don't enjoy/handle spicy food, but this just has enough kick to still enjoy fully. The pasta is the larger kind of macaroni, so it's able to hold a lot of creamy sauce in them. I love that I can taste the subtle pickly flavor form the jalapeño. I highly recommend this to all you Mac n cheese lovers out there! Ordering was super easy. You call in and tell them what you want, they give you an approximate time to pick up, you show up at Ole's to pay for your food, get your order and be on your way! I think I finally have a favorite Mac n Cheese spot in Alameda. You'll be seeing me again, Wine & Waffles!

Lexie S.

Yelp
I love it here! The food is fabulous. As you can see from my photos, I have been here more than a few occasions to eat chicken and waffles in different ways! Breakfast, snack and dinner versions! I also love the white flights, the karaoke was a hit! And outstanding service by Kyle and Ryan! I feel like this is a little home away from home

Yelp
After spotting this place a few times, my boyfriend and I finally decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I expected a lot more, it wasn't worth it... Service: When the waitress took our order - she didn't even know what we were referencing to on the small menu?? I requested a Nutella crepe in which she stated at my confused and looked at the menu for it; my boyfriend ordered the waffle special (1 waffle 3 wings and a carafe mimosa) she was confused on the waffle special, said it didn't exist and said if he wanted the chicken it'd be separate from the waffles?? Anyways, I showed her the menu in which she went in and discussed with the other ladies inside our order in which I guess they corrected her and put our order in - overall, super weird ??? Food: Nutella Crepe: overwhelming amount of fruit compared to the Nutella and whip cream ratio; I ate all the fruit so it's not SO bad but just think of adding a little more Nutella and whip to even it out... Chicken and waffles: Waffle was very minty and had a grain taste, needless to say we only ate one of the four squares of it (wasn't worth eating) chicken was flavorless and needed extra hot sauce. Mimosa had way too much pulp in the orange juice. Overall, won't be returning.

Yelp
Kyle the new manager has really transformed this place into a great place to come and enjoy great food, wine and music. I had the steak which was perfectly cooked and seared to perfection. The flavor was so good. We got the Burrata salad which was fresh, flavorful and creamy. The Waffle fries were fresh, hot and crispy. My wife got the Garlic Herb Rigatoni which was cooked to perfection and the sauce flavor was amazing. The chef is new and has been there for a few week. You need to come and check them out. They have so many events and local artists to enjoy. My favorite local go to.

Chris A.

Yelp
Just came out here to watch a friend play but I was pleasantly surprised. #1 - Dmitry was great! #2 - food was really good, and the service was friendly. People/audience was overall nice. This is my go-to place when I want a bit of R&R. :)

Aida D.

Yelp
WOW... this place is under new management and they have a new chef. I should have taken more pictures but when I thought about it, it was too late. We had the Burrata salad and the flavor was delicious. The tomatoes were crisp the cheese was creamy. The glaze was ugh so good. For dinner we had the steak which was cooked perfectly and the flavor, WOW! Full of flavor. We also had the Rigatoni. The garlic sauce was like nothing I've had. Creamy, cheesy and full of flavor. If you haven't been here in the last month for food, you need to come back and try it. I paired my dinner with a bold dark Eberle Cab, which is my go to when I visit.

Kristina M.

Yelp
LOVE this place! It's such a neighborhood gem. The quality of the food, wine and service is superb. Had a 3 course Valentine's Day dinner with a wine pairing and it was fantastic. They also have live music every weekend and a super cozy back patio! Kyle and the team there are doing a great job. They really make you feel like you're right at home! They're always rotating the menu with new and fresh seasonal items, as well as adding some great additions to the wine list as well. Definitely one of my go to spots in Alameda! One of my favorite spots on Park hands down!

Evelyn C.

Yelp
We have been going into Alameda from Concord for years to Wine & Waffles. Great date night place for friends and lovers of any age.

Jay S.

Yelp
I really like their waffle creations, and so cool that it's a partner of the dinner next door, so if you like they're waffles you enjoy the waffles here. The chick& waffle skewer was a delicious and the bourbon/whiskey maple syrup is perfect. The vibe is the perfect blend between class and cozy. The live music is really nice on weekends. But of course with most of my reviews, I really enjoyed the service -- the staff is super friendly and fun!

Kyshia M.

Yelp
I'm happy to have finally had the time to stop here! What a pleasant host. She was really delightful. This cute idea to mix wine and waffles is brilliant. We came for happy hour on a Sunday (yes, they have happy hour on Sundays!) and it wasn't packed at all. Was told to grab a seat anywhere so I chose to sit in the back by the fireplace on the back wall. Ya know, for enhanced ambiance. I ordered the wine flight (only $9 during happy hour) out host asked the type of wines I like and she selected 3 good wines for my flight. White wine: Chardonnay Middle red: Pinot noir Last red: zinfandel For food I ordered the burger slider and the chicken and waffles slider and the coconut shrimp. All of it was good. I really liked the flavors of the chicken, which was without bone (yay!) And paired interestingly enough with the red wines I was drinking. I had no idea how good that would be. Rest assured I'll be back for more.

Yelp
I love this place! The ambiance is so entertaining. So modern style and the foooood! Omg! Who is the chef!??? I need to say to him/her that it taste so good! The chicken and waffle the best i ever tasted! I cant imagine how that waffle was made! So tasty! I never like chicken and waffle (my bf ordered it) coz it so plain for me, but this one MUST try!!! The waffle dessert starts at 3pm so we waited until 3 we got the waffle churros! And let me tell you! THE BEST!!! The filet mignon benedict too was so tender! I love all the food we bought!! Just a reminder brunch time and dinner time have different menu. I wanted to try the slider pretzel burger but its dinner time menu. We reserve at 2:00( yes i know we stayed until 3 , it was kind of slow i guess because our nice giving us time to think what to order i guess, its our 1st time) so i got the benedict which is also good!. Our server mentioned that next time we dont have to wait for 3 to get the dessert menu for dinner if the chef will allow to make it for the brunch menu. Ok so next time we know and we will be coming back here to try other food in the menu.

Yelp
Disclaimer I worked in the service industry for 10 years so I have pretty high expectations. So with that I was disappointed in this place. I actually had my eye on this place for a long time and was finally able to try it. It was very cold and drafty inside. I think they had the doors open for COVId reasons. For a place called wine and waffles there was very little of either. The brunch menu has about 3 apps and 6 mains. We had the beignets which were the best thing we had that day. My friend ordered the filet mignon Benedict. I think it was priced well at $16. But I didn't have the heart to tell her that it's probably not filet mignon at that price. And just as I suspected her fillet mignon Benedict came out extremely fatty. I'm assuming it was a New York strip or something similar. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. And it was all right. The service was pretty boring and not engaging at all. I could barely hear o server she wouldn't talk loud and of course it's hard to hear as it is what wearing a mask. She didn't seem happy or enthused at any point in our service didn't try to engage with us not one time. Also where we were sat was messy and diss shoveled. We were sat at a table next to the bar and piano. The paint has a bunch of random stuff on it and glass racks under and around it. Also right behind my friends head was a dirty glass rack we could actively see staff putting dirty glassware in. Not COVID safe. I thought it was odd things like that were out for customers to see.

Yelp
Ever walked into a bar and had the warm feeling that the people who work there know everyone and treat them like family? That's how I felt walking into wine and waffles. The people who work here were so warm and friendly. They were chatty and helpful without being intrusive. Would come back for the service alone. Fortunately I don't have to though - cause there's plenty worth coming back for! Came on a Friday night and there was some pleasant live music playing. Just two guys playing some mellow guitar jams in the background. Really added to the ambiance, which was relaxed and pleasant with dim lighting, lots of wood details, and a faux fireplace. The wine selection was good but not overwhelming. My petite syrah went nicely with my smore waffle. Yes, I had a smore waffle for dinner. Don't judge me. Couldn't come to wine and waffles and not order wine and waffles, right? Plus I had a few bites of my boyfriend's beet and apple salad, so it cancels, I think? Both were delicious by the way. I would probably share the smore waffle if I had it again. It is very decadent and hard to finish for one person. Parking was a lil tricky. But we were there late enough that we could park at City Hall down the street. Recommend this if you're coming in the evening. Street parking is impossible and it's only a two block walk.

Beth B.

Yelp
We show up with a reservation, nearly being shown to the door. They reluctantly let us stay and have a meal. The hash browns are the frozen patties then chopped up on your plate. Out of everything ordered in our group(not all pictures), the olives were the best. Being treated like an inconvenience made the food taste bad. There is a piano there, but no one playing it. Loved the interior decor.

Andrea M.

Yelp
Another hangout of ours that deserves a looooong overdue review. RB and I have been coming to W&W for years. Ken, Vicky, Tamara, Julie and Alyssa (I hope I spelled everyone's names correctly) are awesome; hospitable and genuinely nice people. W&W is primarily a wine bar, but the food selection is very good, and goes way beyond the standard charcuterie plate you find at many wine bars. I recommend the flatbreads and the lox waffle, a new addition. On Sundays they have a brunch special, with Ken cooking up very tasty fried chicken and waffles. Good selection of wine, we typically get the Kendall Jackson or Arrowood split. If you're feeling like splurging and imbibing a bit more, get the Silver Oak cab, it's well worth it! Like most small businesses, W&W are doing their best to survive the covid craziness, the mismanagement of which has done unprecedented damage to the restaurant industry. I long for the return of indoor dining, music nights, and normalcy (anybody remember that?), but until (and beyond) then, we will continue to support this local gem.

Shayla B.

Yelp
Wine and Waffles; two of my favorite things that make for the perfect pairing! This place is so me. Seriously! It has all of the elements of a wine bar that I adore! It's dark, it's mellow, it's small, it's intimate. Cozy couches. Live music. A sensual ambience. Let me HAVE it! A second stop after having dinner across the street at Habanas. And, boy is the atmosphere completely different! A place where you can relax and let your hair down. The hair was already down, but I did get put into complete relaxation mode. They've got a nice little spread of wines available from your local favorites to international newbies. And the WAFFLES! Mmm mm mm! A list full of fun waffle variations that is sure to appease your sweet tooth cravings. Their Nutella and banana waffles were scrumptious! Would def get those again if they were on the menu (this is a seasonal item). Aside from their enticing wine and waffles, they also carry a full entree menu and beer for those who aren't feeling so wine-y. Haven't yet tried any of their entrees but I'm planning to give it a go on my next visit here. To add to this incredible madness, they also have live music and HAPPYYYY HOUR! Woot woot! Y'all should already know that happy hour is my favorite time of the day! It's from 4-6 Tuesday through Sunday (they're closed on Mondays). Coming on a weekend?! Well, they gotchu! That happy hour is good on the weekends too boo! You can also order food from Ole's waffle shop next door and they'll deliver it to you. The live music is super fun! There was a small jazz duet playing the night that I was there. I'm such a fan of their swankiness! The bar is gorgeous and is practically centered in the middle of the room. I love the nice touch of the faux fireplace as well! No room for a real fireplace? Just get a fake one and call it day! And their wine glasses! O-m-g... the cah-utest glasses evaaa! I am such a sucker for beautiful wine glasses! The cute little baby tasting glasses got me too... I just wanted to steal them all. This is the perfect spot for an intimate date night! The ladies who were working the room that night were super sweet and friendly. I read about some of the previous bad experiences that other Yelpers have had here in the past, but I didn't experience any of this luckily. A great spot to relax and the perfect place for a fun date night! I foresee many more nights being spent here at the lovable Wine and Waffles!

Yelp
I'm back down to not a fan again and this time it's for good. Wine and Waffles has off and on been a favorite of mine, but their breading has changed again (it now contains much heavier flavoring and rosemary) as has their syrup. Oh, the syrup. Mine was literally like taking a shot of Whiskey - unappetizing and sharp and when added to the over-flavored chicken, almost inedible. Even alone with the hot sauce, the new breading was not enjoyable, definitely a disappointment. I've come to the point with Wine and Waffles that there's usually a 40% chance that I'll dislike whatever they've done to the food that day. The breading will be bad, or the chicken overcooked. They'll be out of hot sauce or the waffle batter won't be mixed correctly. This trip they also incorrectly mixed our drink and were out of a specific item to complete a dish (enough though we were the first customers of the day). It's just an inconsistent and poorly run kitchen. I'm finally, absolutely, done.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to spots in Alameda. The atmosphere is relaxed but classy and the staff is super nice. Huge wine selection, super good beers, and the food has always been good, but recently they switched up the menu and it's GREAT. I've had literally everything on the menu and it's all amazing. Plus, there's live entertainment every night that they're open - karaoke night or live musicians and singers; I personally really appreciate this because I like to go out and have a few drinks, but I get bored easily just sitting at a bar. ALSO, I have a dog who I like to bring everywhere with me and this place has a SICK patio in the back with tables, couches, a fire pit, a big tv, and really nice heaters for when it's cold. They even have a little doggy menu you can order from! Honestly, this is one of my favorite places to hang out.

Viola D.

Yelp
Food looks amazing especially the various salads. Service is welcoming and personal. Ambiance great as we were there for Elaine's performance. Can't wait to go again

Lauren S.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to come back here since I LOVED it the first time. Man... the atmosphere has really changed. It's hard to describe but it was just awkward and desperate. Like they wanted us to think this place was SO COOL... but perhaps we're about 30 years too young to for this place. There was a man who kind of took our orders? He asked if we were ready to order drinks (we said we were ready for drinks and food). He kept suggesting random drinks and interrupting when we tried to tell him what we wanted then didn't take our food order. The same thing happened when we wanted to order food. We did have a separate waitress who got our orders from him, which was odd, like playing telephone. They both were VERY distracted and awkward. The food - the coconut shrimp is still fantastic. We got the chicken and waffle sliders which was so disappointing. The waffle was soggy and a little cold. The chicken was so bland and practically on fire. The syrup was NOT complimentary (however, the sandwich without the syrup was incredibly dry). We also got the steak tacos which were fine. The tortilla was good and the rest was just meh. Disappointing dessert menu too. We definitely won't be back. The atmosphere was weird, the staff awkward and distracted, and the food wasn't anything spectacular (I will have to find another coconut shrimp place though). There's plenty of other places on Park that feels better and has great food.

Yelp
This place is great for anything wine, waffle, and entertainment! Went here with my best friends for a post-holiday get-together and we were quite impressed with the ambiance of this place ... They've manage to make the space "feel" bigger than it really is with their arrangement of seating, bar, and lounge area. Our first time here we were tickled with happiness with the entertainment for the night (check out my short video) - that man can sing! We did experience not receiving a couple of dishes we ordered but the waiter was professional, friendly, and comped what was missed - never made a stink about it; just made sure we were happy at the end - great job! I definitely will return for a night of lounging, wine, and tunes

Alessa B.

Yelp
The night started off rocky but Kyle made sure we were taken care of. The chicken and waffle kabob was a C+; the chicken had great crunch but lacked flavor. The waffle was too crunch for my liking. For some reason my entree came with the appetizer, but my boyfriend's entree came at least 20 mins later. Kyle saved the day with his humor and hospitality. He even recommended a great dessert wine that was chocolate flavored. I was a bit skeptical but it was smooth and the chocolate taste was not overpowering. Overall, minus Kyle, this place was decent. (Big kudos to Kyle!)

Yelp
This is my second time coming to this place and my husband and I paid almost $40 for two glasses of wine. The issue wasn't the amount we paid, but the pour was only 3 ounces. There were only two other couples sitting at a table and the lady bartender spent most of her time talking to a couple. We were trying to get her attention but with no luck, we ask a gentleman who appeared to be sitting at the bar with a laptop and an 8oz of whiskey if he could check us out. He was very friendly, but he sat there on his laptop sipping his drink and did not attend to our empty glass as we sat at the bar for 15 minutes waiting to order a drink.

Yelp
This place always does to me what I want a place like this to do to me. My continued enjoyment of Wine & Waffles puts it a the top of my local favorite Yelp spots. The wines, the people, the servers, chef, ambiance, live music, seating... "What's not to love?" I only do serious adult stuff here. For example, romance, or relaxation. Wine tasting or work texting. Conversation or crab cakes. "Focusing On What Matters Most," by Stephen Covey, The 7 Habits... When I arrive early, I can get a seat anyplace I like. The menus are easy to use. My order for food and wine comes to me and I imbibe and grind at will. If I'm with a friend, we can order of their "extended" menu, which includes food from Ole's Waffle Shop. I always find wine here that I can drink more of. But I'm not sure what that means. A second glass? Still more? Who knows?! I guess it depends on factors that have nothing to do with wine

Tiffany B.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this place. I strolled in at 4pm on a Tuesday and there was only one other patron. I was there for over 3 hours eating drinking and chatting as others came in. The bartender was great. I won't order the white sangria again as it was overly sweet and treated like Hi C. I've had some great sangria before but this one wasn't. I enjoyed the chicken and waffle slider. They are really big. The calamari seemed like the standard frozen rings. After I stuffed myself someone gave me a seafood tostada that I shared with someone. That was really tasty and I'm not sure it's on the menu. They have music every night except Tuesday and Thursday. I heard it gets back so it's best to make a reservation. This is a great place for those 30 and up that want a nice place to drink. They have a baby grand piano, fireplace, and couch.

Yelp
I came here the other day with a few friends. Got here around 1 and there was plenty of bar seating available which was perfect for us. I ordered the Blackstone Benedict and shared the Goat Cheese and Blueberry grilled cheese sandwich and the chicken and waffle kabob. (Had to have a taste!) The Blackstone Benedict was really good. I loved the roasted tomato, the bacon was cut up and cooked extra crispy and the egg was perfectly poached. The ONLY thing I didn't like about it was the hashbrowns that came with it. They were cold and boring. The Chicken and Waffel kabob was kinda underwhelming. The fried chicken was OK and the Waffel was really sweet and oddly hard. The Goat Cheese and Blueberry grilled cheese was the STAR OF THE SHOW!! The bread was perfectly toasted and the Goat cheese and Blueberry were delicious! It also came with a side of honey which was a perfect compliment and a side of spinach salad with citrus dressing. Of all the things I tried, I'd come back for this sandwich.

Yelp
Took a trip up to Frisco for my birthday and found this spot. I was so happy to have changed my birthday dinner... we were seated by the fireplace in front of the piano where there was live music, good food, and good wine. The vibe was very comfortable and intimate. I will definitely go back whenever I'm I'm the bay!

Yelp
We needed a dog-friendly place for a late lunch and this place fit the bill! The chicken and waffles and sliders, were excellent! They had a fun, eclectic menu and friendly service!

Yelp
This is a cool wine Place in Alameda. Their charcuterie options are amazing, waffle specials are great.. and the chicken is awesome. I really wish they would add more items to their menu so I can keep coming back..

Yelp
Wine and waffles is a great concept. I mean who doesn't love wine and waffles?? I recently dined here with friends. Our server Hannah was amazing and very accommodating. Inside the restaurant it is very cute and cozy. There are about 10 tables and also seating at the bar. It's always a good thing when you can get Happy Hour during the weekend! Wine and Waffles offers happy hour until 6 on Saturday's. For $10 you get to choose from a few different wines and a wine flight! The wine flight is a great way to try different wines, and the sangria comes in a large cup. I seriously felt like I was in Miami when she brought that drink out. It's Huge! Unfortunately that's where my excitement ends. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. Our group order the crab cakes, calamari, and shrimp. Out of those appetizers I would only recommend the shrimp. The calamari looked like fish sticks which was surprising to me. The crab cakes looked like muffins for some strange reason. The shrimp however was delicious. When it comes to our entrees I was super excited to taste the different waffle combinations. I got the chicken n waffles. My dish was decent but my friends order was very over cooked and her waffles were extra hard. The pretzel sliders were okay, but could use some more seasoning. Overall our dishes were just okay.Maybe we came on an off night? I would say you can give this place a try but just be cautious on what you order.

Yelp
Best chicken and waffles in the Bay Area!! The chicken comes out piping hot and the waffles are light, flavorful and delicious!! The ambiance is outstanding and the staff make you feel like an old friend. Love this place and will definitely be back!!!!

Yelp
** I'm not sure if this place was amazing BUT I was so hungry it raged like a $30 meal lol** So I reallly appreciate: 1) European outdoor patio seating 2) the service - our waitress was bubbly 3) sir beer 4) they have happy hour Monday- Sunday 5) coconut shrimp. Chicken an waffles and sliders were pretty good and feeling 6) over my wine I disliked 1) limited red wine menu- I mean if you're a wine place I assume you have like 100+ offerings 2) parking 3) the waffles were cool but I wish they were crispier since it mimics bread with meat inside chicken

Yelp
This wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Alameda is a perfect spot for an intimate date night or a low key girls night. The wine offerings are a plenty with many white and dark options. I settled for the house made sangria which was more for fun than purpose. So don't plan on getting tipsy even after two bountiful glasses full. We ordered some small bites and the bruschetta was a hit all around as well as the Asian salad with steak, calamari and garlic parmesan waffle fries. There were large shavings of parmesan which were more of an after thought than an accompaniment. Alissa treated us well and the rest of the staff was also welcoming like a warm hug. this felt like a friendly, neighborhood joint that I'd definitely frequent if it were closer to home.

Yelp
Typical wine bar with light bites. Menu is limited and carb-heavy, but the items were fairly tasty. I liked the beet salad. There was an older crowd in here when we arrived, and a live pianist. It's located amongst a strip of other eateries and boutiques, and makes for a good stop before heading to a movie down the street.

Yelp
Omg!! This place was beyond amazing! I mean I was expecting good things but this definitely went beyond my expectations. Their cheeseboard was amazing ... Their dessert waffles were amazing ... Our service was great! Our waitress was beyond sweet to us! We were a group of six people and they were able to accommodate us fairly easily. I will definitely be back to place with out a doubt. I stumbled to this great place on Yelp! My friend and I were trying to go to a cute dessert place and I suggested this place! Everyone loved and enjoyed it! Oh and if it's your birthday you get a free house wine! Their sangrias are huge! Great wine variety. They even had live music playing ...amazing! Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Excellent! This place has amazing food. We made it for the happy hour specials. Mac and cheese with bacon and jalapeno, fried calamari, coconut shrimp and Baja fish tacos to share between two. More than enough food, large portions and the flavors were delicious. Shared two very large Sangria's. Had to have the drunky monkey chocolate waffle with banana and chocolate chips.....yummo for sure. Well, another fabulous place with a nice selection of food and fair pricing. Clean, nice relaxing atmosphere and comfortable. Will be back.

Yelp
Fairly good chicken and waffles. The wine and cheese plate was delicious. The setting at night is intimate so it would make a great date place.

Yelp
DO NOT CONFUSE WINE AND WAFFLES WITH WAFFLE OLÉS! They are right next door to each other and obviously owned by the same people as you pay your Wine and a Waffles check at Waffle Olés. Wine and Waffle is upscale with amazing food choices and great cocktails (fresh squeezed OJ for mimosas). Waffle Olés is a DINER! On my first visit here I stood in line for a table and thought the two restaurants were physically connected. A restaurant employee who was seating guests from the line kept going in and out of both doors. Should have been my first clue, I know, but I just thought he was traversing the building in the most efficient way. As I waited I heard stories from long time Alameda residents who discussed how long they had to wait as kids. "The building was half the size and the line went around the block". So when I was seated in the diner I thought I'd be looking at the same menu and have the same cocktails available. NOPE! I should have walked out but I'd already been seated and before I knew it I had water and the server was taking my order! Rookie mistake! I'm not from California and through my visits here I've concluded the California is different than the rest of the country... culture, roads, stores... it's just different. I often say "it's all California to me"... like it's all foreign to me. So I'll chalk this up to "California different" and lesson learned!

Yelp
We went here for Happy Hour and let me just say that I really enjoyed it. There house wine is $5.00 and there Fish Baja Tacos I think is $8.00 and I really enjoyed the fish tacos. The tacos were feeling, and more than enough they give you two. My friend their chicken and waffles slider for $8.00 or waitress was really nice and had a great personality. It was a very quiet place and had a nice ambiance. I will definitely go back again.
