Wine Bar 5000

This place was solid. We randomly found this spot and glad we did. While the food was just ok the wine selection was amazing. I can see why folks like this place especially during warmer times. We traveled during the winter so seating was only inside. The staff was awesome.

We ate here for lunch today and enjoyed it so much! After coming from touring Doge’s Palace, we were looking for a quiet, scenic spot to eat and get away from crowds - and this was perfect! Just saw it on Google maps and it had good reviews, so we sat down to give it a try. The cicchetti platter was delicious, as were the meatballs. We got glasses of wine after asking the waiter for recommendations, he was very helpful. He also brought extra non-fish cicchetti to our table after hearing that my friend wasn’t a huge fan of seafood (unlike me)- very sweet of him and it was also on the house which was extra generous. We watched a painter by the canal making lovely art and enjoyed our peaceful lunch tucked away in the canals. We were the first people at the restaurant for the day (arrived just after 12pm), but so many people sat down in the time we were there or took cicchetti to go, seemed like many locals. Can’t recommend enough!

Nice a quite place for a drink. You get chips with the drinks Food also looked very nice.( people.sat next to us looked like the enjoyed what they ate.)

The service and the drinks were amazing. It's a great place to relax and have some reasonably priced cocktails. The servers have great attitudes and are very friendly.

We were looking for a quiet spot to escape the crowds of Venice & found it at Wine Bar 5000! I absolutely loved sitting right next to one of the canals, watching the gondolas pass by, listening to the gondoliers’s music and enjoy a cold Spritz on a hot summer day. We were pleasantly surprised by the good service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Found this cute wine bar tucked away from touristy areas where you can sip delicious wine and watch gondolas pass by. Recommend the mixed cheese plate with marmalade. It comes with bread and breadstick bites. We ordered the pinot Grigio and recommended red wine. For cicchetti (tapas) get there earlier. They ran out in the later afternoon. Lots of people around us ordered aperol spritz which come with some potato chips.

Very cute seating outside by the canal. Not a lot of choice in wine by the glass and a sprite costs 9eur. Not the cheapest place but great place to enjoy chill summer days in Venice. Service are not great tho but you're here for the view.

Found this gem on yelp, looking for a place a little farther from the crowds. Fantastic food, and an even better location! Outdoor tables, canal side with the occasional gondola drifting past. Quiet and beautiful spot. Probably best to call ahead to get a reserved table.

We came to Winebar 5000 every day we were in Venice for pre-dinner drinks and conversations. Small spot that is quiet and caters to locals. It's right off the canal on a gondola route so you get to see hundreds float by and experience the singing gondola drivers. Affordable win and delicious cicchetti.

This is a great off the beaten path small wine bar. The seating inside is small, but if you get a table outside you can sit right on the water. You will see gonadalas pass by. There isn't a lot of foot traffic over here so you don't need to worry about the big tourist crowd. You also get chips as you drink. The bar has a large selection of wines for a good price as well.

After hearing good things about this neighborhood spot we tried it--for wine and cichetti. Very disappointing. Bread was stale, toppings oversalted, and nothing Venetian at all. Service meager. We had to ask for napkins,

I don't want to be too negative, so yeah: three stars. The food is good, although the cicchetti aren't Venetian in any identifiable way. Service was really very poor: after our assortment of cicchetti we ordered an assortment of salumi which never arrived. When I asked for the bill, I was told it would be coming, then at least ten minutes passed while the waiter worked on someone else's order. Finally we were allowed to pay after the second request. This experience struck me as the product of a group of people who were pretty excited about the theoretical basis of their enterprise but who were fundamentally failing to execute the basic demands of the operation. I really don't like to give negative reviews, but in this case I need to do so. Perhaps they'll improve in the future, but I won't be coming back.

Nice little spot. Clearly a favorite of the locals. Good wine selection. Also food available as they partner with the restaurant next door, but we only had wine and a great cheese tray.

Must visit spot in Venice. Great food from their sister restaurant next door and fantastic and reasonable wines by the glass or bottle.

This little wine bar was one of the best things about our trip to Venice. The brushcetta and prosecco were amazing, and we had a great view watching all the gondolas go by. The place only seats about 10 people, which gives it a nice cozy feel. We had such an enjoyable experience that my husband and I tried to go back again the next day, but they were unfortunately closed. We will make sure to come here again on our next trip to Venice.
