Wine in the city

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend "Wine in the city". We had the pleasure of enjoying their 6-course menu "Carte blanche", and it was absolutely exceptional. Each dish was meticulously crafted, showcasing the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. What made it even more special was the wine pairing—every glass perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes, elevating the entire experience. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance added an extra layer of charm. If you're a fan of innovative cuisine and enjoy being surprised, this is a must-visit!

The 4- course lunch menu was nice (including the additional amuse) while it was in particular the cauliflower based dessert that lived up to Michelin star expectations. The accompanying wine arrangement was OK, but a bit dear for the wines you get. Ambiance is still very nice and service is good and very friendly.

Good for drinks, not for food : Friendly staff and great choice of wine in a very nice atmosphere. Great taste in the food an some nice new combinations, Unfortunately very very small portions so that even after 5 courses we had to ask for additional bread (on top of the loads we ate) to feel somewhat satisfied. For the amount of money paid that is simply not acceptable.

Al jaren om mijn hoek, maar toch pas onlangs de tijd genomen om er effectief eens een stapje binnen te zetten. Wine in the city is een wijnwinkel waar ook een aantal tafeltjes staan om te dineren. De wijnen staan verrassend niet volgens streek, maar volgens bijhorend gerecht. Vlees, vis, kaas, wereldkeuken, .. Noem maar op, voor elk gerecht wat wils en vind je een bijpassende wijn. De winkelier kent zijn winkel en is eerlijk. Hij zal jou geen dure wijnen aanraden als je toch een leek zou zijn (lees: ik!) en enkel geinteresseerd zou zijn in een lekker wijntje bij je gerecht (lees opnieuw: ik!). Wat ook fijn is, je kan er terecht voor sterke dranken die je niet in de alledaagse supermarkt vindt. Naast wijnen verkopen kan je hier (enkel) op woensdag- en vrijdagavond terecht voor een culinaire beleving. Zeer klassieke franse gerechten 'gepimpt' tot een adembenemend kunstwerkje op je bord. Je tafeltje bevindt zich echt waar tussen de wijnen met zicht op de chef. Supergezellig. Eén kleine opmerking: het dineren is wel wat aan de prijzige kant, so be aware..
