Google
Plenty and varied inventory of wines, Champaign liquors, etc. Tools and gadgets for the wine enthusiast. Excellent cheese counter. Gourmet selection of imported products.

Luisa P.

Google
Celine was amazing! Knowledgeable, cheerful, so helpful. A great experience choosing wine and Prosecco for my niece's bridal shower.

zhao K.

Google
I bought four bottles of wine at very good prices. There was a great selection, and I even found some bottles that aren’t available elsewhere.

Babatunde S.

Google
Zero customer service staff to help find or locate wines you can’t find . Only staff was at the check out counter . Literally left and went to total wine, where there re ample amount of staffs asking if you need any assistance.

Suzanne E.

Google
Very helpful staff. They recommended 2 red and 1 white. (All worth returning for more)

Bill J.

Google
Wonderful collection of wines, liquors, cheeses, etc. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Centrally located. Nice arrangements to accommodate Covid considerations. Ready to do business with on-line as well as in person.

Google
Brandon is an amazing asset to Wine Library. He has been helping me deliver fine wines to my clients over the years. He knows what to choose, which pairs to combine. My clients are always impressed with their gift deliveries. They have delivered the packages throughout the county. It makes my job easier and enjoyable to deliver quality products as a thank you. My fabulous buyers and sellers are always impressed.5⭐️

Google
Large place, Great selection, met Sasha the founder/owner impressive that he's still at WineLibrary every day. Also met Gary Vaynerchuk aka GaryVee aka VaynerMedia he marketed this wine store from $4mm to 60mm via online, social..etc will sure come again and shop for some vintages.

Yelp
Parking in complex. Upstairs is where all the spirits are. Great selection of tequila and bourbons. I was able to find tapatio and I saw they had shankys whisky-- I couldn't resist getting it so I grabbed it. There is quite a "library" selection of wine downstairs... I will need to explore another time. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Patrick C.

Yelp
Wish I could give zero stars... place is nice, products are great... pricing is meh at best. Had some vintages I wanted, was going to be nearly $1,000 to ship threes states (7hrs) drive) When I couldn't get there to pick up charged me a 10% restocking fee. What a joke, Avoid at all costs, much better places to buy wine online.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great selection and helpful salespeople. We needed to get a bunch of items for a dinner party and were able to find all the wine and accouterments we were looking for. It did indeed resemble a library, with racks and racks of wine in a huge warehouse-sized space. They also had an impressive array meats, cheeses, crackers, pickled things, chips, etc etc. Not being wine experts or anything, the selection was overwhelming, but a helpful salesperson was able to provide great suggestions. Our friend was a member so we were able to take advantage of the weekend tote sale as well, which saved us a lot of dough. A truly impressive store for wines and more.

Yelp
Wine library has a great selection and an excellent gourmet section. They have all sorts of delicious imported foods- especially if you enjoy Russian food. They have pilmeni, frozen berries, cookies, sprats, frozen blintzes and sirochiki (like little cheesecakes dipped in chocolate). There's a Lithuanian cheese I like there too. I rarely buy alcohol - I stop at wine library for the grocery section.
google avatar

Shane C.

Yelp
Love wine library and searching for some great deals. They have a great selection of wines as well as liquor. I also enjoy being a part of their weekend tote bag and wine text offers for additional deals. The staff is always friendly and super helpful.

Martin S.

Yelp
We have been shopping there for years and always been more than satisfied. The variety and quality of the wine is excellent. And the prices are over the top meaning very fair.. Service can be spotty most of the people there are very knowledgeable. Parking is a

Yelp
Dropped in hoping to find some nice bottles for a gift. Wine selection was solid with some great prices, especially if you are a club member. As for the allocated liquor, it's ridiculously priced on secondary level. A $80 bottle marked up to $499...no thanks. At the end...it's still a $80 bottle. Hate to see this, but it seems to be more of the norm. Well, still bought a case of wine. Enjoy!

Yelp
Wow, this place has gone completely down hill. I came in this week with a list of items to get and only left with some crackers. The store was a mess, with pallets of shrink wrapped boxes stacked on the sales floor. Is it a sale? Is it a warehouse? Who knows... This store used to be the best wine and gourmet shop in New Jersey at one time and it's just a shell at this point. I couldn't locate any of the liquors I purchased previously, just empty spots with the tags showing what should be there. The higher end wine selection was also very disappointing with pricing being more than the nearby Total Wine (which blows them away now) for the same producers and products. The cheese section has maybe 1/4 of what it once had and there's nothing here I can't get elsewhere. At one time they had a solid offering of local purveyor D'Artagnan, there wasn't one thing to be found (go to Gary's instead). But the final ignominy was they didn't even have regular cocktail olives. How the hell do you run out of olives? You know you've hit rock bottom when your liquor store can't even equip you to make a martini. Sad.

Yelp
Beautiful library of wine where you walk in, turn left to the nibbles you can buy that include small batch meats, cheeses and jams and candy. The rest of the library is a beautiful collection of wines and some beer, very little hard spirits. The second floor has a space for classes and looks over the main shelves on the first floor. Checkout was efficient and you can join their membership club for deals.
google avatar

Pasquale R.

Yelp
Great wine selection and above average beer selection! They did have hard to find beers which I enjoy. Their spirits section wasn't impressive. Prices seemed fair. Checkout was ok...not much of an interaction.
google avatar

Christina V.

Yelp
Just wow! Passed on our way somewhere else and made sure to stop in heading home. Sooo happy we did. We were met by Alex who couldn't be more interested in helping us Saturday night with what we didn't know we needed! He said pick a price point and before we could say a number he said he had a lot of $10 wines he'd be happy to show us. Guess we looked a lil haggard-lol Eleven bottles later and now wine club members we can't wait to return! Take note boss, Alex deserves a raise. He was so informative, patient and tailored our tastes to his picks.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
It's a retail store for wines and liquor. The prices are very good as is the wine selection. It's hit or miss as far as getting assistance in wine selections. Some personnel are very knowledgeable and others not so much.
google avatar

Christina G.

Yelp
Good selection. I really like their deli and Italian area. It's perfect for a charcuterie board. They have a full wine floor and full liquor floor. We only bought some grey goose since we recently stocked up on cured meats and cheeses but will def be getting some next time.

Yelp
This is a review for online ordering only. I've made two purchases online from California. One for an expensive bottle that was a business gift for an associate in NJ. It was so close that I think an employee hand-delivered it because it was delivered the day I ordered it. The other order shipped to me here in California, an Italian wine was going to buy elsewhere and at the last minute, I Googled it and WL's price was 30% less than what I was going to pay. A couple of clicks, and I was done. The wine showed up in great shape and right on time.
google avatar

Susan D.

Yelp
I don't know what has happened here. In the past, I used to do a lot of wine shipping here and decided to drop by again. The place is a mess. Boxes all over the place, broken pieces of cardboard and garbage in the entrance, no one even asks if you need help. It is dark and dingy, a shadow of how it used to be. Pass-

Yelp
I've been a patron since the dad had a little liquor store in a house front on Millburn Avenue, quite the difference from the behemoth it has evolved into. If you can avoid the 'cult of Gary' you're likely to have s terrific buying experience. Prices are fair, staff mostly knowledgeable, wide variety of choices. The cheese and charcuterie is great-the Summit Cheese Shop tops it, but parking in Summit can be a pain . . . Specials here are usually terrific too. Solid joint.

Jeff A.

Yelp
Was a loyal customer of winelibrary.com for over a year. Just dropped them because they took away the free freight for the Library Pass Subscription effective March 1st, 2023 for WineText, CellarText and YummyText. It would have been far better to raise the minimum quantity of bottles per order for free freight, rather than remove the free freight in its entirety. You lost a very loyal customer!
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
Used to have good customer service, but over the past several years, now completely disinterested. You can stand waiting in line while staff chat with each other, store and stock upkeep declined. Unpleasant, unfriendly experience, better options are available.
google avatar

Pimp D.

Yelp
It's February 11, 2021 and you still can't search for liquor or beer in the search bar on Wineibrary's website. Still can only search for wine. At this point it's bordering on comical. Every other website, even my local ShopRite liquor store website, you can search for liquor, beer, wine, etc. Who is running the show there at WL? At this point not sure what it's going to take for management to wake up and fix the website.

Yelp
Spent almost 1k on high end wine for my clients. It showed up covered in dust and dirt, tacky stickers on the front endorsing some random person as though they selected it for me!! and the worst was the wine dripping down the labels and the bottles of 2 out of 6. Could not give out to clients and spoke to Brian at the store who says he wont resend new bottle until he gets these back!! So I wont have them in time to give to clients. Looks unprofessional and disorganized on my end. He claims his distributor filled the order but that he would personally pull the next 6 bottles. I will amend this re review once I get the second batch

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. I ordered from Wine Library because I am a fan of Gary V. My new business partner just turned 50 earlier in the month. I found out from his wife what wine he loves and decided to order from Wine Library to surprise him on his birthday. I ordered 4 bottles. They never arrived. I spoke with customer service who told me they cancelled the order secondary to an issue with credit card. Did someone notify me of this so I could rectify it? No. When the wine did not arrive I called customer service. I gave them a second chance and re ordered the wine and apologized to the wife of my new business partner. Tonight I got a message from the wife that the wine never got there. I called customer service. I spoke to a representative that told me they did not have the address to send the wine so they cancelled the order. Did they notify me? NO. I told her I was very unhappy. I was transferred to a supervisor who told me indeed they do have the address on file , "Would you like us to send it?". I replied "Yes!!! Please send it! I have been waiting 20 days now past his 50th birthday. By the way, when I make a mistake at work I am held accountable. What are you prepared to offer me?" She replied that they will wave the shipping. This is certainly not enough to retain me as a customer and I am so disappointed that a product that Gary V developed was such a poor one. I was strongly considering investing in Gary V's new line of NFT's. His credibility is now in the toilet.

Yelp
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Been going here for a while, bought aperol and the sparkling wine they have on display when you walk in. They didn't have my beer, so I went to a different store. They are selling a box set with both aperol and the same exact wine in it for nearly the same price as I paid just for the aperol. Clerk told me it's a set and the wine is free. WTF.
google avatar

Steven R.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. They refused to sell me a bottle of wine because I had relative accompanying me that may or may not have been 21 years old based on their cashier's opinion. Didnt even ask for id for the party in question. The relative had just recently turned 21 fyi. I was told this was a good establishment for goods, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely taking my and my families business elsewhere from now on.

Yelp
Got a tour of the place from the Vice President of Operations. A tour of a wine store? Yes! The place actually feels like a library going into it and for someone like me, who enjoys a glass of wine but does not know wine from A to Z, it can be overwhelming. However, I was shown how working with the people who know far better than I leads to exploring wines I would find enjoyable and, to my surprise, not expensive at all. They do have everything here -- there is food, not a lot, but a good number of special items including a large cheese selection. (I managed to pick up some lamb bacon, and, no, I have not tried it yet) I am probably not going to touch on half of the things I learned but here are a few good points to know: 1. They have a great beer selection (though not available for purchase online) 2. They do have liquor (and a high end selection as well -- all the way up to a $75,000 bottle of Louis) 3. Need wine for a wine pull charity event? Ask them to point you to something for that purpose. 4. Need a wine for a BYOB in the area. The chilled section is NOT just for the high end wines. It also is for ready to drink BYOB wines. Bottom line -- GO HERE -- you will love the place!

Bruce R.

Yelp
Wonderful retail store but terrible for deliveries. I have a friend who lives 10 minutes away from this store. I ordered a bottle of cognac to be delivered to his house. It's been 6 days. I'm told they have a big backlog of orders. But they also say they only have 1 driver. He comes in only once a day. Picks whatever he wants to take that day, and never returns. So despite a huge backlog, Wine Library refuses to get more than one driver. And they refuse to have their one and only driver make more than 1 run. And they refuse to deliver on weekends. Do not make the same mistake I did. Use Drizly for deliveries. Not Wine Library. They're not customer-focused.

Yelp
Over the past ten years or so Wifey and I have stopped here if we were in the area because, to be honest, I don't know if there is a wine store with staff who know their wines better than Wine Library. Yes, there are bigger selections elsewhere, but what I have always loved about this place is how comfortable the staff makes people feel about asking questions. Not all of us are wine snobs or have developed a palate that can taste all the subtleties in a wine. The staff here can help anyone from a novice to an experienced wine lover. When we stopped in most recently, we were literally looking for two bottles of wine...should have been an easy in-and-out kind of day. Silly us. They had a cheese tasting going on that day so as we walked around the second floor tasting all the different cheeses we, of course, thought about the different wines that would match up with the different cheeses...and we walked out with a case of wine. And it was worth every cent! We aren't wine snobs, we drink what we like and we ended up with 11 great bottles of wine and one that we were just so-so on...that's a pretty solid percentage there! Anyway, the only downside to this place is the parking lot-can be a bit crazy at times, but other than that I would give these guys six stars if I could...

Yelp
First time back in a good couple years and it's seem to have lost what it was. Legit the shelves were dirty, the selection wasn't nearly as much as before. They have a ton of a few wines that they market heavily throughout the store but upstairs is now just a mediocre liquor suggestion and not the wine diversity on ground flood I remember.

Magdalena F.

Yelp
Had a great experience at the wine library ! So helpful so accommodating was really giving us a background story of certain wines bc we were there to try new wines not just the same old commercial wine. ! You have to sign up for their VIP rewards card it's free and you get a huge discount. I purchased a 120 dollar bottle of wine for 30 dollars. And before purchasing I researched the wine and it does go for 120 dollars so I felt like the man that helped us really did a great job. We are very pleased! I have been here 6 times and never had a bad experience here and will continue to buy from them. Every employee came up to us and asked us if we needed help. So nice and so welcoming!
google avatar

Sheila R.

Yelp
Love this local wine shop. Always excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Over the years, they have added a specialty area with lots of samples and multiple cheese options. Yummy. Make sure that you visit the upstairs area, especially if there is a tasting. It gives you a chance to try new or different types of wine. Also, for the wine snobs, check out the back room where lots of their amazing wines are stored.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
I found the customer service over the phone poor and it took 8 days to fill a curbside order pickup. I do not recommend and will never be going here again. This was my first and only time trying to place an order.

Esteban G.

Yelp
This company is super stingy. I spent thousands of dollars and referred someone who also spent thousands of dollars. I called customer service and the lady was polite and checked to see if they price match. The difference in price was $4 for a wine that was offered for that price. Despite me offering to buy 3 cases and their annual pass for free shipping ($100), they couldn't do anything for me. So they lost a customer over a few hundred bucks who's gonna spend 5 to 10 thousand a year with them.
google avatar

Francis C.

Yelp
You've heard enough about the wine, I'll tell you about the craft beer. This is my defacto local liquor store and I'm lucky that it is. I'll stop by about once a week to check out the beer selection since they don't do beermenus.com. Graham is the beer meister at this facility, and he's very helpful and knowledgeable. He updates the big board on the front wall with the latest and featured beers, and there may be some very rare beers that he doesn't even put out, so ask him if you're looking for anything specific. As for the beer selection, it's the very last row on the left as you walk in the entrance. On the shelves, there are a wide variety of single bottles, mostly of the bomber 22 ounce variety. They range from domestic to international craft beer with just about every country represented. Opposite the shelves, are refrigerators holding the lambics and some select bombers. Along the back wall are a bunch of refrigerators holding the major labels, Buds, Millers, Coors, etc. Move to the right and there are six or four packs of domestic craft beers, for example, dogfish Burton baton or double jack from Firestone walker. I do like my beer with cheese, so my nose follows that stink to the right when you walk in the entrance. There you can sample as many cheeses as you like and they even give you a little piece of bread to eat with the cheese. Sometimes there is a featured cheese table where you can get detailed info and samples on cheeses from a particular farm. So, what are you waiting for? Check this place out!
google avatar

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
If you need wine, booze and rare beers, this is your heaven. They have beers here that I had in Munich that I didn't even think were sold in the US, that in itself is pretty awesome. Their small refrigerated section was filled with great artisanal foods like sausages from Portland, Oregon and a whole range of pates, terrines, duck legs to fresh ravioli. And their pretty legendary cheese counter? They leave about 7-10 cheese samples out for you to taste in which I sampled them all, but of course. Prices aren't too bad either. You can find a nice cheddar for less than $5/lb to a rare goat that is upward of $40/lb. Their dried goods sections/freezer section is well stocked with a variety of gourmet products ranging from truffle salts to gelato. I recommend if you're throwing an upscale cocktail/pasta party, come here for your one stop shopping needs. I hear that some wines are bargain prices, the food however is quite on the expensive side. You want fancy, you gotta pay for it. Definitely a great store, I just wish it was in JC.

Yelp
Not off to sa good start. I placed an order for a case of wine Wednesday the 25th. I expected it to ship in 1 to 2 days latest. I called today when my credit card was charged and no email with tracking info. I was told by Emily it would not ship until next Tuesday. I have used other online vendors and never any problems like this. I told her that if it does not ship Monday, I will cancel the order. I hope it does ship and arrive in one piece.

Sherri M.

Yelp
Many thanks to Shaq ( apologies if the spelling is wrong) in the cheese department for creating a delicious cheese and charcuterie board for me. The selections based on Shaq's advice was great and the arrangement perfect.

B B.

Yelp
I have ordered cases of wine from Wine Library and it is hit or miss. Sometimes the orders are fulfilled quickly and in good condition. Sometimes weeks go by before they ship. I recently (mid-May) received an order that had been placed in mid-April. Multiple bottles were broken and had, obviously, leaked everywhere.

Yelp
When I entered Wine LIbrary, I literally felt like a kid in a candy store. Holy Cow! I have never seen so much good wine at such reasonable prices! The selection was MIND BOGGLING! They had every wine we enjoy and a lot of wines that we only read about. The prices are terrific! Several hard-to-find items (ex: Veuve Clicquot Demi Sec) were readily available at lower prices (at least lower to this jaded New Yorker!). They also have a room dedicated to higher end wines and vintage champagnes. The staff is wonderful and helpful. When I asked where the Malbecs from Argentina were located, they literally took my cart and helped me to the aisle - they were also wonderful to my two young children - and yes I take my children wine shopping. The second floor of this wine mecca is mostly high end wines and assorted spirits at all price points. The aisles are wide spaced and there is plenty of help located around the store. They also had a lovely cheese section (such a smart addition!!). I would have loved to have had a closer look, but we were on our way to a party and had to leave. Checking out was a pleasure too! Someone helped unload our cart so I could tend to my girls and my husband could make a few last minute wine grabs. There was no sticker shock here. We bought around 16 bottles of wine and the bill was around $300 (and no we don't drink box wine or white zinfandel - not to throw stones at those who do). They also have a big parking lot to boot. Wine Library, we will be back soon!
google avatar

Eduardo M.

Yelp
I bought six bottles of wine and asked the customer service to fix my rewards program phone number. Rather, they gave me a toll free number to call. I returned the bottles and they couldn't care less. Terrible service, don't go there!
google avatar

Anjali D.

Yelp
Excellent experience. I ordered a variety of wines from Wine Library, from France, Argentina, and Spain - All 90+ points wine, all under $20 each. The wines were incredibly delightful; I usually get heartburn with wines under $20, but I had no such experience with these wines as they were high quality and lovely. I was also really happy with the customer service as well (shoutout to Brandon from Wine Library who answered all of my questions in a friendly way). Will put in another order next month!

Tony O.

Yelp
I've ordered 2-3 times so far from winelibrary.com. We are now in the coronavirus pandemic, and I've seen that all the wine shippers are pretty overwhelmed. As a result, it's taken Wine Library about ten days to get my order delivered; "pre-corona" they were pretty quick, about 2-3 days (about $25 per case, FedEx). They have an interesting selection with some hard-to-find items, and reasonable prices. A strength is their communication ability: they are responsive, courteous and helpful.
google avatar

Gary D.

Yelp
This is one of the few business success stories that is truly deserving of its merits. The Vaynerchuk Family are excellent business people who know and sell great wine. Their phone and online business is second to none. Their assistance with wine selection and recommendations is the best I have ever seen. Their variety of wine is excellent and what they don't have, they will try to get. The cheese department is filled with great selections. And up on the second floor, there are the top shelf collections of wine and spirits. Their prices are fair to good. There is a parking lot on the premises. I wish they had additional locations closer to where I live. I will be back.
google avatar

Johari F.

Yelp
I am very happy with the selections Adam helped me with. The wine is delicious and his understanding of my taste is spot on. It is very exciting to taste different kinds of wine knowing they will always be great and not necessarily expensive. This is my go-to and Adam is the wine consultant that gets it.

J R.

Yelp
Decent selection, but their service is terrible. Seem to be nice enough, but overwhelmed and not trained in customer service. My last two orders with them were screwed up - one they had to cancel because their inventory online lagged behind their actual inventory (didn't really have it in stock), the other they made no attempt to make good with me (though months after the fact they checked with a supplier but just to try to deflect my issue). I stupidly prepaid their membership to get the free shipping thinking I would make regular orders, but its sort of scammy if they don't have the product and won't stand behind their service. Disappointing, but there are so many other wine sellers out there that are an absolute pleasure to work with. I've honestly never encountered this situation previously, and I buy about 8-10 case of wine/year.
google avatar

J A.

Yelp
Yes, the selection is great. I love the way the site is set up - it's very user friendly. I was also having some delivery issues but they were waiting on one bottle to come in to complete my order. I emailed Brandon and told him they could ship without. He called me within minutes and told me the order would be delivered by Friday. Apparently the credit card company automatically declined the order because it's alcohol. (Discover) I'm REALLY not happy with them!

Yelp
This store spoiled me. It ruined all other wine stores for me. I have been a customer for 12 years, and have seen it transform from its old, inelegant and garage-like location to its beautiful new building around the corner. It has always had extremely helpful and knowledgeable sales staff and great prices on most of its wines. It has always had a depth of selection unparalleled in the area (only Gary's in Madison even comes close). The beer selection is interesting, as are its single malt scotches, rums, sparkling wines and liqueurs. But what I particularly love is the gourmet food section. It is amazing, Their staff, led by the wonderfully knowledgeable Everett, treats cheese with amazing respect. It is so much better - and better priced - than comparably stocked departments at Whole Foods and Fairway. Especially the parmiggiano reggiano, which always seems to be perfect here (and the price is great). I also love the Spanish ham, the Jeni gourmet gelatos, the preserves, the olive oils, the Mexican chocolates. i could go on and on. The weekend cheese tastings are a treat. They are also good business - everyone seems to buy after tasting! Justin from the gourmet department recently became manager of the entire store and has already put his mark on it. He has moved things around in a big way and it was a great change. I found everything to be more accessible and the overall layout makes a lot more sense. As someone else mentioned, parking on the weekend and especially before holidays can be rather tight, so try to go early or late unless you are patient. A great store - one of the main reasons I love living in the area!

G E.

Yelp
Although promised, my curbside order was not ready. When I called from the parking lot, I was advised it would be a couple of minutes. Three phone calls & 40 minutes later, it arrived. This was very disappointing service as I was on my way to an important appointment.

Debra G.

Yelp
My Jewish and Italian friends and all ethnic backgrounds---I was in the Wine Library on Morris Avenue in Springfield, NJ to purchase kosher wines. I walked in and went up to the second floor and asked for assistance. This lazy young man was totally not helpful and disrespectful and in addition he was dressed inappropriately with his derriere (butt crack) hanging down from his pants. he was at his workplace not the streets. I asked his name and he responded "What do you have to know for"? I went downstairs and reported him to the Assistant night manager. She couldn't care less. The other employees weren't wearing their masks appropriately (hanging underneath their nostrils) . They are in violation of the state of NJ mandates and in violation of CDC guidelines. My friends-my suggestion to you is not to purchase any liquor and products from Wine Library. When I asked them to fix their masks, they began to taunt and imitate me. I have always purchased my "kosher wine" at this store. I bought liquor for all of my celebrations such as weddings of my three young adults, for holidays, for gifts when I visit my friends and family outside of NJ. Had a scary experience. That is the last time I visit that facility.

Yelp
Outstanding! The wine consultant was able to suggest a number of wines that paired well with the menu of our dinner party, and he recommended a Lambrusco as a substitute for a sparkling merlot that we love. we really wish they had humidor with a selection of fine cigars to pair with their spirits.
