Cozy little wine and liquor store with helpful staff. I popped in to get some coffee liqueur and within a matter of minutes I had options and found a great new drink. Prices weren't too crazy from my quick look around, I'll be stopping by again for sure.

To be brutally honest the thing I am taking a star away is because of the Cashless Payment FEE. You want to swipe your card or tap you have to pay additional 0.03% which will be added on top of your bill after tax. I’d say it’s priced on a higher end with limited options of a specific brand/kind. This was my first time stopping by and obviously if you live in this neighborhood you kinda have no other options.. I was assisted by a polite gentlemen who offered me few options of reds but I wasn’t convinced so I made up my own mind. Not upset about it.

If the owner/manager is there, he will give you outstanding wine tips. He is a chef and not only knows wine, he knows what wine to have when and with which foods. Being able to find exactly the right wine for me makes this a better deal than a big discount shop.

Walked in just to get a bottle of reisling, but the guys there were so friendly and knowledgeable that I walked away with 2 bottles and it was less than $30 thanks to the discount they give for the wines that are part of the tasting. So friendly, Ill be making the trip to Broadway for my wine now.

The best wine stop in Astoria for sure! They do delivery and the best with the stuff and owners is that they know exactly what they are selling. They NEVER try to up sell and they are so knowledgeable on wines! Fast delivery, good prices, I couldn’t be a more satisfied customer!

I love this place, have been going here for years. I really appreciate their late hours, and that they carry Tip Tip canned cocktails. So yummy!

This place is badly mismanaged! I've been a regular here for a while, but they do not order wines you want, hoping to get rid of the items they overstocked on, and nobody wants them. This is not a way to treat customers. Most staff is really friendly, but I've decided to spend my money elsewhere, where they hopefully respect their customers

I'm trying to reach out to the owner of this store, Hopefully he/she reads the reviews. I was there a couple of weeks ago and I asked for a bottle of basic whiskey, the Manager Moises gave me a premium bottle and I only realized it when he charged me, the price wasn't what I always pay, so I asked to change it but he didn't have the one I was looking for and he didn't want to refund my money. I had just purchased the bottle a minute ago and on top of that he was the one who gave me the wrong bottle, I even asked him : is this the basic one? He replied : Yes it is..!! But after the purchase is made he shows me a small little piece of paper attached to the register that says NO REFUND. That is a very dishonest way to conduct business. You should make sure that you give customers what they are really looking for before you charge. Besides the Manager Moises didn't even offer me the option to exchange or store credit. So be careful when you go there to buy something, don't ask for help, make sure you know what you are buying because once you paid that's it, No Refund, No Exchange, No store Credit or better off go to a different store.

I've been Wine Stop a few times since they opened up last summer. Employees here are friendly, kind and knowledgable. I generally know my way around a wine shop - but when you want to maybe want something different, it's nice to go to a wine shop and actually get schooled by folks who are genuinely passionate about wine and know their stuff. Wine Stop also hosts daily wine tastings in the back area and usually change it up with the wine selection for them. They carry all sorts of wines, have their selection very nicely organized and have something for everyone's palette (and price point). Good stuff and I'll definitely be back!

Get wine to unwind, get wine to whine, get wine to shine, get wine to dine, get wine to sign*, get wine to feel fine, get wine to be mine. For any occasion, this spot has the wine(s) YOU need. They have great dry red wine options! Chile and Argentina Cabernet Sauvignon for the win!! Want more umph and rawr? They got you too - whiskey, tequila, etc., but selection appears limited compared to wine varieties. If you plan on frequenting this spot, sign up for their reward system - I believe you get something free at some point. What's neat is you don't have to show your I.D. each time if you're in the system, and they keep track of your drinking habit. *Hope you're not signing anything too serious.

Sure, maybe their wine selection is great. And maybe the guys behind the counter know their wines well. But the guy with the tattoos and the stretched ears certainly did not know anything about Soju or Shōchū. "Oh Shōchū is just a Japanese Soju." No, no it's not. Yeah, there are similar ingredients but there are also different distilling methods for each. In addition, I'm not paying $37+ for Korean Soju (which they did not have) for a simple quick time. I don't know why the guy was so insistent that they were the same thing and the particular Shōchū was so good. Have you ever even had Soju?

After a stressful work week, all I want to do is catching up with my shows, munching on chips, and having a glass of wine! Don't you agree? For an entire week, all I could think about was a glass of rosé. Luckily for me, I stopped by here while they were having a rosé summer party. The middle shelves showcased all the rosé wines that they have available. This made it so easy for me to just go around and read the taste notes description. Although, I was immediately approached by staff which I am very grateful for. I expressed that I like fruity notes and not too dry. He gave me a few great recommendations instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive bottle. He fully understood what I wanted and liked. I ultimately went with a strawberry taste note one. Rosé was phenomenal! I had a glass just by itself (which was already tasty!) and just to amp it up, I simply cut up and freeze fresh strawberries to go with the rest of the bottle! The store itself is a bit small but very organized. I love the hippie music playing in the background, too! For my upcoming summer parties, this will be the spot that I will be stopping by for wines!

My favorite wine shop in Astoria. Great selection of different types of wine from all over the world and super friendly, knowledgeable staff. Always so nice and helpful when I come in. Located right off the Broadway N/W subway stop.

Live a couple of blocks away and would like to shop there. I checked it on Yelp and find I must login to Facebook to access their website. Dumb. I deleted my Facebook account two years and will never use it as they use my info to re-elect Trump as they did in 2016. With the Coronavirus lock down and the store's three customer maximum, forget about it. I investigate online before I go to a store. I will use Grand Avenue and Angela's instead.

There is a reason this place has such high reviews!!! 1) selection is decent 2) they know their wines 3) they help you know wines with those nifty tags that indicate what grapes are in the bottle, price etc 4) prices are reasonable All in all if I'm ever back in the area you bet I'll be making a wine stop! (Snickers... Like what I did there?)

Maybe their wine selection is good but that's about it. Place is cramped and they have a "smarmy" attitude towards Men (especially Men of color) from what I've experienced and observed over a couple of visits over the past year or so. Prices aren't particularly competitive on standard high end brands such as Jack, Patron, Grey Goose etc. Relative to the competition, if you are a straight dude that isn't effeminate that likes manly liquors for a decent price you should probably go elsewhere. You can see most of the positive reviews are from Women. (White Women in particular).

Beautiful shop directly across the street from Sanford's and steps off the N & Q line on Broadway. The owner is knowledgeable & friendly, and her staff is too. Charles & Alexis are a pleasure, and can make helpful recommendations. They know their stuff. The shop is small & intimate, easy to navigate, warm and inviting. A nice added touch to the neighborhood! Here's a few things that will set them apart and out of the ordinary: - The shop is open until midnight! - There is free local delivery - There will be tastings daily from 5-8pm

Two words: MONEY BACK ...if you buy enough bottles of wine, you get $ towards your future purchase (some of us faster than others). Plus, they are all super nice, which is more than I can say for some of the other liquor stores in the hood. *Editors Note: I assume this rule applies to liquor as well, not just wine.

Looks a very promising wine boutique in the area, opening night was great. They have wines from all parts of the world, and they are classified by region.

This is a really nice wine shop. My man and I decided to go in and browse for some different red wines and I'm glad we did. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted us in finding everything we were looking for and more! We purchased two wines and a really really good bottle of Egg Nog. I only gave 4 stars because I asked for a red sweet wine (not dry) and what I got was the total opposite.

Amazing staff and great wine! I love that they deliver for free and that they are always ready to give recommendations. I highly recommend making them your new favorite spot in Astoria!

I moved to Astoria pretty recently and discovered that New York does not sell alcohol in grocery stores! Gasp! So I decided to walk around my new neighborhood looking for a place to buy some wine. I must say finding Wine Stop was a pleasant surprise! The owner is super knowledgeable and has led me to several delicious bottles of wine. I think it's a great touch that they have nightly tastings. I have found a bottle or two from these tastings that I wouldn't normally buy. If you need your wine fix - go here!

Came in looking for a bottle of red and white from Italy or Argentina. Louis was incredibly helpful in choosing two that would pair well with the dinner I'm attending and were within my price range! I was in and out in under 10 minutes.

Really love this store. I have not been disappointed with wine I got from there even once. Employees are really helpful and are always able to find great matches even when I have difficulties explaining what I need.

Wine stop is an awesome wine store in Astoria. I personally love how close it is to my apartment and the subway. They also do FREE delivery! Even in snowstorms! Incredible! They also have a pretty good points program. The selection here is a little smaller, a little less curated than Astoria wine and spirits, but I come here often regardless. Staff is always super friendly too which is a plus :)

When this place opened up it filled such a hole in my life! It is conveniently located less than a block from the N-Q broadway stop in Astoria. They have such a wide selection of wines, which I've tried many of and have had a hard time finding one I didn't like! The owner does an excellent job of picking the best bottles to keep in stock. The prices range from cheap (less than $10), to pricey for the special occasion ($40+), with the majority of bottles being between $10-15, which is usually what I go for. However, it's more than just a great place to get wine! They have a great array of hand picked locally made liqueurs. You might not find all the big name brands because they instead stock up on local and small name whiskey's, Gins and Bourbons. Stop in for nightly tastings before 9pm.

Great little new wine store! Pretty decent selection of wines of all kinds. I was looking for more high end bottle to give as a present and didn't have much luck finding any. At Wine Stop, I found just what I was looking for! And the $69 bottle of Pinot I found was on sale half off!!!! Awesome:-)

I'm not a wine person, but I've been here a few times for a few different things: just to stop in for a look with me oenophile gf, trying to find a bottle of wine as a gift for aforementioned gf, finding a cheap red that still had character for a recipe. One two of those accounts it was outstanding. Wine stop is definitely a good place to go if you're learning about wine, the staff clearly loves wine but are unpretentious about it and if you ask them what you might be looked down on as a 'stupid question' as someone who doesn't know much about wine. You don't get talked or looked down on they really try to educate you. So, if you say, walk in explicitly saying you want the cheapest red they won't bat an eye but will show you where it is and when you self-consciously add that it's for cooking they definitely stop and give you more options as to what fits both the 'cheap' and 'good for cooking category.' All the wines though are moderately priced so it's perfect if you're looking to get into wine without breaking the bank. However, if you're looking for something a little pricier for a gift or as a way to impress folks you may want to go elsewhere. Basically, it's wine for everyone, which is what I look for 99% of the time.

Let's talk about awesome. Awesome: "extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear" I'm going to go with "inspiring great admiration." A friendly voice on the other line when attempting to place my first delivery order. Awesome! A helpful employee, ready with suggestions when I'm unsure of what I want. Awesome! A gentle note from said employee that it might be a little while before delivery, because the deliverer is eating dinner and has one stop to make before mine. Awesome! A doorbell ring less than 20 minutes later. Awesome! A gentleman hands me my wares, then asks what I ordered. After learning of my selections, the gentleman replies, "oh! The Sancerre, that's excellent. And the Pinot Grigio, that's a great choice." We might have to move to "epic" after that experience. From in person to delivery Wine Stop is now my favorite purveyor in the 'hood. Run, don't walk. Or...just pick up the phone!

Very nice place to get your wine from not the best prices but great service and great atmosphere.

They're conveniently located near the Broadway stop on the N/Q, but even more conveniently - they deliver!! Whenever I have ordered, they're usually at my door within 10-15 mins. It seriously doesn't get better than that. To top it off, all of the guys that work there are super friendly, and always make good recommendations. This place is an awesome addition to the neighborhood.

Really nice addition to the neighborhood! Very cute little store with a nice selection of wine (many rare finds imported from different regions of the world). I prefer this place to the other wine shop down the street (Angela's) that I used to frequent before Wine Stop opened because it's a lot more inviting and the staff is friendlier.

Says they deliver, when I called, they asked for my address and said they don't deliver.

People working here were super helpful in helping us find a bottle. They did not judge us (noticeably) at all when we told them we wanted something sweet, cheap, and high ABV. Also they gave us free samples.

This place is a complete joke. You can go in there for a month and buy the same bottle of wine every night. But when they run out which they do often , they never restock the same bottle of wine. It's always the same bull excuse , sorry we are out , yeah you've been out for two weeks now . Astoria wine , a further up b way but worth it . Bring back chuck, when he was there he made it happen. It was organized stocked with no bullshit

Finally a boutique wine store with great prices. You will find a good selection and great knowledge from the people who run it. Something different, something worth visiting. Congratulations on the project and idea.

Don't let the neon signage fool you. The inside is beautiful, and the wine selection is broad. Of course, they have wine from traditional regions like Italy and France, but it was nice to see they stocked some lovely South African and South American wines. They also have some local, small batch whiskey and liqueurs. The staff is very friendly, not pretentious and very eager to share knowledge with the customers. They also host a free tasting each night. The best feature? Free delivery, no minimum.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who don't push the $30 price point. Seriously, they've steered me towards some amazing $11 bottles (and I'm choosy). Again, the place is small so please leave your poodle/stroller/backpack/oversized umbrella outside or near the register.

Not only the best looking wine shop around but the most affordable and they encourage customers to bring their dogs in. Chuck and the guys provide treats. They are great with humans too. I've learned a lot about sustainable vineyards and organic wines, Wine Stop specialities, at their daily and free tastings. There's no downside to this place. I like the $10.00 back for every $150.00 spent. It's my retirement plan.

Great new boutique wine store in Astoria. Love that they are on the corner of 30th Street & Broadway. Being a life long resident of Astoria, I really appreciate the level of professionalism, look of the store, exceptional and knowledgeable personnel. The owners are from the neighborhood also and are investing in Astoria's future. They deliver - a God send! The opening night was incredible and I see they have been very busy since then. The wine tastings are the icing on the cake!

Gruff customer service from the two guys who are usually here. The type i expect from a bulletproof glass kind of liquor store not one that seems to be trying to be cutesey boutique. They have a nice selection of brown spirits but do an awful lot of blowing smoke up your ass to make the sale. I also find it hard to take the recommendations from the guys who are usually chain smoking outside. I'd rather go down to Astoria Wine & Spirits even if it is a few blocks further from the train stop.

Nice place with a nice selection of not so common wines, champagnes, and spirits. BUT, from my experience they are significantly overpriced. I've found a lot of the same selections in the city and other places at a lower price. I'm not talking $1-2 either. They do offer free delivery and are conveniently located by the train. So its a good place to go when you just need something last minute.

A lovely shop with a great selection, but unfortunately (due to the nature of small businesses) overpriced for NYC. If you need an interesting wine and are nearby, thumbs up. Scotch drinkers may want to look elsewhere.

I am obsessed with this place! Their staff is consistently knowledgeable and friendly, their rewards program is awesome, and they deliver! I can't say enough good things. There's a liquor store right by me but I'll always take the extra time to walk to Wine Stop or even have something delivered. This is my go-to Astoria liquor store hands down.

They have the best sake ever! Otokoyama junmai daigingo!!!! It's elegantly aroma, fruity, dry enough and super clean finish! I'm a big fan of Sake and tried so many sake even in Japan too but this sake is absolute my the best sake ever! By far!!!!! I definitely recommend it!!!!
