Google
A city gem to say the least! I’ve been here about a handful of times now and I can honestly say that the Winery Collective has quickly become one of my favorite Bay Area tasting rooms! Yes, it’s located in a touristy area but there is nothing “touristy” about it. Whenever I visit, whether I’m with friends or ridin’ solo, the amazing staff always welcomes me with open arms. Kostas, Mike, and the rest of the team are so fun and knowledgeable. The customer service is absolutely unparalleled, as are their delicious wines. I’ve brought a few friends here and they have all raved about the great wines and fun atmosphere. Just last month, I brought a few friends who were visiting from New Jersey. During their trip to the Bay Area, they also explored Napa and Sonoma Valley. They told me that they had more fun at the tasting room than they did in wine country! This truly isn’t shocking though as the atmosphere here is so much more homey and fun. And let’s not forget about their wines! I love that they have a collective of different local wine labels to choose from. They’ve got some amazing vintages and their red wines are where they truly shine. I’m currently hooked on their delicious Syrah. Stopped by about 3 weeks ago and took a bottle of it home with me. I should also mention that their bottle prices are very reasonable, especially considering the area. I hold this adorable little tasting room near and dear to my heart. If you’re hanging near Fisherman’s Wharf or are just simply looking for an excellent wine bar in the city, it doesn’t get better than a visit to the Winery Collective. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Google
Brilliant bar to go to for a glass of wine or tasting flight. Winery Collective products are very high quality and only available from their shop in San Francisco. Our host Kostas was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He was able to pick out wines from the collection that suited our tastes perfectly, but also introduced us to wines which broadened our palates. I would highly recommend visiting Winery Collective for a very enjoyable wine tasting experience 🍷🥂👌🏼

Google
Hard to describe how good our tasting experience was. In short, it is a must try whether you’re a SF local or a tourist wandering fisherman’s wharf. The service was incredible and the wine was amongst the best I have tried. We got to learn a lot about the local wines in the area and had a very genuine and amazing experience. Was the highlight of our visit to San Francisco.

Google
My group had an amazing time here! Our wine specialist was so incredibly personal, it was great to simply get to chat with him about his life and experiences. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The wines were all amazing. They have options to mix it up, stick to whites or reds, or personalize a flight which makes it a great experience for everyone. Although we did not try any, they also had a few non wine options like mimosas! Highly recommend going here!

Google
Cool nook in the fisherman's wharf. Tried the Sweet Life flight. Lovely. Staff was very friendly and they really know their wines.

Google
Great little wine bar tucked away in the Argonaut hotel at the Wharf. I always meet great people there. Its a great place to hangout if you are traveling or need a break from walking around. The staff is knowledgeable and are good at picking wines according to your tastes.

Google
Great experienc! We were two and tasted 10 wines. (Two flights - mix & red). We were looking for a great tasting experience without having to visit an actual vineyard outside of San Francisco. Winery collective has a solid assortiment of californian wines to try. Special shoutout to our host Kostas. He is very knowledgeable about the wines they are serving and talked us through each wine in detail. Lovely experience! Absolutely recommend if you are in search of californian wine tasting but also just a glass of great wine. Thanks!

Christian M.

Google
Nice place and nice people. Kostas was very kind and helpful explaining me all the stories behind their wines. It’s a fantastic place where to taste very good wines having good time. I will surely come back and suggest the winery to all friends of mine.

Yelp
Tucked away in the crevices of Fisherman's Wharf, you'll find this charming little tasting room. This is where delicious wines meet chill vibes and impeccable service. The Winery Collective is a local wine collective that's comprised of several different SF based wineries. Sometime before COVID hit, several of these wineries had tasting rooms on Treasure Island. I remember visiting the tasting rooms, all unique with different varietal specialties. Through this collective, these same wineries have been able to survive through their wines, and I'm so grateful for that. Speaking of the wines; they are so delicious! What I love about this collective is the variety. If you're craving for a tasty sparkling wine or a California staple (Rosé, Chard, or Cab), they have the Winery SF label. If you're looking for some Italian goodness, the Sottomarino label is fabulous for it. If you want some amazing light summer whites, the Viognier and Gypsy Blanc from Sol Rouge will be your babies. I could go on, but you catch my drift. The selection is top tier! The events are super fun and engaging as well. Attended a Drag and Mimosa show about a Month ago, and it was honestly all the rave! Brought a friend along with me and she couldn't stop talking about. We had a blast! The mimosas were on point too. There's always something fun happening at the collective, so never fear the FOMO! Lastly, I need to shine a spotlight on the staff and the stellar service. Kostas and Michael are absolute gems! They've hosted my friend and I in the tasting room, and it is always a pleasure to chat with them both. They are knowledgeable, fun, and filled with infectious energy that can be felt throughout the tasting room. Hats off to them for never skipping a beat and always keeping the wine spirit alive! I truly adore this place. If you're in Fisherman's Wharf (or anywhere in the city honestly), you must stop by to experience the magic. Tell them that Shayla sent you ;).

Yelp
Always a good time at this cute spot in Fisherman's Wharf next to Argonaut Hotel and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. My foodie bff invited me to this fun spot, and we keep coming back. The owner and staff are so nice and inviting. Can't wait for new events on their calendar. There's so much to do around here afterwards, and so many restaurants nearby. Never a dull moment at the wharf. I love their wines by the glass. The mimosas are tasty, too (very little juice wink, wink). 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY).

Yelp
Not a tourist trap. Come support and celebrate Pride w a few glasses of delicious, highly rated & well made CA wine! No tarriffs here! Wonderfully knowledgeable and charming team - Mike and Kostas. You will be well taken care of! Intimate and fun vibe. This is often a locals' spot. Great happy hour before or after lunch or an early dinner. Come support the local business!

Yelp
It was my first time there and I will definitely be back! What an unforgettable experience! This winery is pure magic, amazing wine, and the kindest staff Kostas was just amazing. You can feel the love and passion that goes into every glass. We laughed, learned, and sipped our way through an incredible afternoon. Whether you're a wine expert or just out for a relaxing day, this place has something special for everyone. Can't wait to return with friends!

Courtney S.

Yelp
To preface, this area of San Francisco is very tourist heavy and we stopped into this location with that in mind. Overall we had a nice time, very friendly staff and a very social crowd. The wines seemed to all be pretty local, specifically from two wineries. We tried two different flights, a white wine and mixed wine flight. The wines were fitting for their value. Flights included 5 wines.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Great wine collections Great service and very knowledgeable Great times and great place to be

Yelp
Winery Collective is one of those rare gems that instantly makes you feel at home. Whether you're popping in alone or with a group of friends, the atmosphere is always welcoming and full of good vibes. I've had so many lovely conversations here with some locals, some tourists, and with people from all over the world! Everyone's on their own adventure, and it's a joy to share stories over a great glass of wine - I LOVE the Pinot! The staff are a huge part of what makes this place so special. Deena, Michael, and Kostas are all wonderful - warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the wine. Kostas, brings an exceptionally positive energy and always has a fantastic playlist going. If you're in San Francisco, don't miss this spot. It's a perfect mix of great wine, great people, and a truly welcoming community.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at the tasting at Winery Collective. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgable and very fun to chat with! It was pretty slow when we went, but a great hidden gem. Everything we tried was amazing!
google avatar

Pujun B.

Yelp
The best winery in the Bay and Mile is the man. Such a gracious host! Loved it here. I have been here multiple times
google avatar

Kaylie B.

Yelp
What a fun winery right in the Fisherman's Wharf! We stopped in for a wine tasting while exploring the area. Half of our party had already been before so they wanted us to experience the magic too! We were served by Mike, who they had had the last time they came in! He was amazing! Super friendly and very informative! The wines were very good as well. We all did the mixed wine tasting and learned more about where each wine came from and their unique flavors. I would recommend stopping in for a taste!
google avatar

Cece K.

Yelp
Yes, I found another gem in SF! Kostas, the tasting room manager was engaging and explained the winemaker, Bryan Kane's award winning wines with details and enthusiasm. The tasting red wines were library wines from 2013-2016. My favorite, of course was 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon! The sweet wines were fun and creatively crafted to please all wine lovers. Michael's favorite, Sweeeet, port wine. Not too sweet as the name suggests. Very tasty port. Absolutely recommend!

Joseph K.

Yelp
We wandered in after having brunch nearby. It's a calm wine stop tucked away in the business of fisherman wharf/cannery area. The pourer behind the counter was very friendly in welcoming us in and talking us through the different options for flights. She continued to be quite helpful and knowledgeable throughout the tasting as well. She was great at balancing addressing the group and giving us space to enjoy the wine and talk amongst ourselves. I do think I will be back for sure especially because there are a few fun brunch spots nearby!

Bethany S.

Yelp
Stumbled open this place about 4 years ago when visiting fisherman's wharf. Have since been coming here regularly due to the welcoming atmosphere and amazing staff. Kostas is always incredible and caters for everyone. He recommends and lets you try before you buy. There is so much knowledge and passion. I will continue to visit everytime I am in town. Highly recommend to anyone in the area visiting!! 5 stars!!

Yelp
Costas was an incredible host. Fioendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. Delicious wine steps from the craziness of Fisherman's Wharf.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
What a great experience! Both Kostas and Christopher were knowledgeable about the wines and created really great ambiance for my tasting. Both my friend and I ended up buying a couple of bottles each. Great service, great tasting options, and great wine! Cannot recommend enough!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Winery collective is in the same building as the Argonaut Hotel so we decided to check it out one evening when we were too cold to venture back out. Kostas is a gem! He helped us select a person tasting and it was lovely. We ended up taking a bottle of the Viognier up to our room to enjoy. He was so personable and has great stories to share while you linger over your 5 (full pour) tastings. They have a cute selection of smaller vineyard wines which I always enjoy whenever I am in California. Would travel back down to fisherman's warf just to come back.

Lina Marcela G.

Yelp
Great service Great knowledge Costas was great host for our first time experience here We highly recommend

Yelp
What a pleasant place to relax and enjoy some delicious wine! Each one of the five wines I chose off the tasting menu were explained to me by Kostas, the knowledgeable manager. He clearly knows a great deal about wine. There is a spacious bar with comfortable seating. Whether you're a visitor or a local, check out the Winery Collective and take home some delicious wines that are quite reasonably priced considering their quality.

Yelp
This one of my favorite stops on a recent trip to SF. We visited after dinner at Fisherman's Wharf. It's about a 10 minute walk from the hustle & bustle of the main restaurants. We decided to do a flight of 5 red wines and a flight of 5 white wines. That way we got to try 10 different wines in one sitting. How often does that happen?!?! Our server/bartender was super nice & also very knowledgable about all the wines being served. The wines were from west coast wineries and all were very good. A good mix of customers were in & out, and we had a great time with several couples sitting nearby. So much fun, and I'd highly recommend!

Yelp
Great surprise! We have good Wine experiences visits in our country and we have to say: WAS SO NICE with Kostas. He talked so friendly and chatted about wine in California as new sistems vineyards and other interesting things like history. We recommed everyone stop, enjoy wine and his conversation. Different options about tasting wine, good price and easy to find in Sant Francisco. Fantastic arround Piers.
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
Wine tasting has always been a favorite activity of mine and San Francisco did not disappoint. Winery Collective has an array of wines to choose from that will surely please any wine connoisseur. The prices are comparable to those establishments in Napa Valley and Temecula, California. This was the only wine tasting spot I found on or around the Wharf. The atmosphere is great and the staff is both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. More importantly, the wines are great. If wine tasting is something that interest you, I definitely recommend stopping by here when visiting San Francisco.

Yelp
We had such a great time at the Winery Collective on Saturday. Kostas introduced himself and was so gracious in helping us make a selection. What I really enjoyed is that Kostas listened to what kind of wine we enjoyed and helped us learn more about new wines. I am not a big red fan but he found a really nice red blend that I enjoyed. I am really looking forward to returning to the Winery Collective and bringing more friends.

Bulldog M.

Yelp
Great wines, great vibes, lovely intimate spot in the middle of the tourist area. Say hello to Kostas. :)
google avatar

Yelp
I always have a great time at Winery Collective. Kostas really makes the place welcoming and I always meet interesting people from all over the globe while enjoying their spectacular array of wines.

Yelp
Great wine...check! Great service...check! Grat vibe...check! We stumbled on Winery Collective during a very cold and very rainy day...and the tasty wine plus the staff's warm disposition really came in clutch! I especially enjoyed that it's not a hoity toity place but, instead, casual and inviting. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Dyanna Q.

Yelp
My friend and I had such a fun time wine tasting here! It was very casual and not too busy on a holiday Monday. The bar area is quite small so they recommend reservations. Our bartender (I think her name was Dena) was friendly and had an amazing 90s R&B playlist going. The tasting was reasonably priced, and we took home a bottle of their prize-winning Syrah. I'm sad that their location on Treasure Island is closed, but at least their tasting room is in the City!
google avatar

Howie R.

Yelp
I stumbled in from the adjacent Argonaut hotel and found lovely company in Kostas. He immediately recommended a wine based on our taste preferences--and it hit the spot! Honestly, this was the perfect place to tip up a glass on a rainy (or sunny) day. The bar is cozy but the location is in a centuries old exposed brick building that fit in perfectly with the Fisherman's Wharf history. And the sky high ceiling makes the laughter and the conversations echo without being overwhelming. We felt immediately at home. If you're walking through on the way to Ghirardhelli Square or the Golden Gate Bridge, check out this lovely wine spot. And tell Kostas we said hello!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Amazing service and a great place to get to know people or just try a flight of wine! Wonderfully cozy spot with a comfortable atmosphere where you can chat with the employees and other guests or come with a group and get to know each other better. Definitely recommend checking out and highly recommend Kostas' service! He really knows how to make people feel welcome

Yelp
The Winery Collective is a hidden gem. I have lived in San Francisco and have always tasted wine outside of the city. The location is Fisherman's Wharf so I expected it to be touristy, pricey and hard to park. It was none of those. The ambiance in the tasting room is very nice. There is large tasting bar so there is plenty of seating. We had wonderful service from Kostas who was very knowledgeable about the wines. There are four brands with one winemaker for the various varietals. You can chose your flights by red or white or customize your own flight. We did one red flight and one custom flight and left with 7 bottles of new wine. It was very nice to tastes the various grapes from different regions in Northern California to include Mendocino, Napa, the Lake, and Sonoma. We had both California and Italian style wines. The flights are very reasonably priced, the pours were large and if you purchase a bottle your tasting fee is waived. Needless to say I returned two weeks later and and had another educational and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tasting room.

Rose G.

Yelp
What a discovery! Our visit to the Winery Collective was a treat. The tastings were well structured and delicious. Kostas was very knowledgeable and friendly. There are so many excellent wines to try and take home.
google avatar

Jon B.

Yelp
This place rocks, and Kostas is the best wine tour guide on the planet!!! Love it. Will keep going back.
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
Walking along the streets and stumbled across this little cute spot. Nestled up you'll find wines on the wall neatly stacked and behind the counter it's beautiful. It's not a huge spot but it's definitely perfect for groups of 5 about 25 could fit in the place without it being too many people. But the wine list was pretty great. Stop in and even add a little surprise glitter to your glass! I'll let you come try and see what that little surprise is. Enjoy and make sure you allow Deena to serve you because she's absolutely amazing and very friendly, very informative with all the wines.. she made things enjoyable
google avatar

Meghan H.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at the Winery Collective! I went on a Monday night with a girlfriend to use a groupon for two five-wine flights, in addition to a free bottle of our choosing at the end. The host Kostas was very knowledgable about the different wines, and did an excellent job describing the what to expect from each new bottle we tried. We were certainly on the younger end among other attendees, but had a good time at this wine bar. We enjoyed both the ambiance and the service, and recommend this if you find yourself close to Ghiradelli Square or Pier 39
google avatar

Yelp
Solo, date night, or with a small group - the Winery Collective Tasting Room is always a great time...and if you're lucky - you'll have Kostas showing you around; he's passionate about food+beverage and hospitality, and you have to ask him about live music! I happily walked away with a smile on my face, and bottles of Gypsy Rouge from Sol Rouge Winery and Sangiovese from Sottomarino Winery, and can't wait to come back. Thanks for another great experience.

Joe L.

Yelp
A great little tasting room off the craziness of the Wharf. Krista's and the team are knowledgeable, friendly and take you through a tasting with a great balance of knowledge and stories.
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
Amazing wine and service!! The wine selection is outstanding. Kostas (who is wonderful!) picked the perfect bottles of wine and was very knowledgable about the wine as well. 5 stars! Look forward to more wine tasting with Kostas again soon. ~Nick

Shannon G.

Yelp
My colleague and I stopped in following several days of successful meetings and from the moment we met Kostas, we knew we were in for a special experience! We had a red tasting session with Kostas guiding us through tastes, what to pair with them, etc and my faves were Vie Syrah & Sol Rouge! He also shared stories along the way which made the experience more memorable. Go and ask for him.....you'll walk away with memories and a place to return to.

Murillo R.

Yelp
Excellent wine choices and friendly service! Will definitely come back. Cute bar in Fishermans Wharf and great way to meet tons of people!
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Severely overpriced. I could post my bill, but i don't want to embarrass this place.
google avatar

Vicky J.

Yelp
Good ambience and service; nice place for wine tasting! We had around 5-6 different wines to taste (half white half red) and all of them varied in taste. Before each tasting we had a great description of the wine and we also were able to get clean glasses between tastings. This is a WINE ONLY place - no snacks so make sure to eat beforehand :)
google avatar

Edward L.

Yelp
We loved this place Kostas and Cloe are amazing and knowledgeable, we were there 2 days, the bottle of Chardonnay recommended to us was so good. Great location next to Argonaut hotel at the Fisherman's wharf and 2 blocks from Ghirardelli plaza. We hope go back anytime soon.
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
Great service (Thanks Kostas). The wine is fantastic. Convenient location especially for people visiting the city for the first time.
google avatar

Bren H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem, small and homey. Great wines, numerous flight options. Mike is the man, he is super friendly and knows a ton about the wines. The place closed at 9pm and he never rushed us out the door.
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
What a fantastic place, the most kind, knowledgeable staff. The personalized tasting of wines, including my favorite Viognier selected by Kostas, in a delightful venue. Five stars all around

Sherry D.

Yelp
Wines were amazing & we appreciated Mike's knowledge of the wines. Nice location near Ghirardelli square next to Argonaut hotel.
google avatar

Carolynn Q.

Yelp
As tourists do, we went to Fishermen's warf and found a place that caught our eye when the big word "WINE" was outside of this spot. As we came in, we were greeted and was told some of their top wines when we asked for recommendations. For the time being, they are only selling wine but they are looking into making accommodations to sell finger food and we understood. During our next trip, we will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Helen W.

Yelp
Another part of my birthday celebration was wine tasting at this place. We had a seat at the bar and did a sweet tasting and also a mixed (white and red) tasting. It was a nice experience.

Valissa T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the ambiance and service. The places has great wine tasting options!
