Winetastic is an absolute gem! As a first-time wine lover, I was a bit nervous, but the experience exceeded all my expectations. The $37 for 5 different 2oz wine tastings was an incredible deal, and it included a delightful mix of red, white, and even a few bubblies—perfect for sampling a variety. Natalie, who welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, truly made this experience special. She was so knowledgeable about the wines and made sure to explain the nuances of each selection in a way that was accessible and engaging. I never once felt out of place, and she even piqued my interest in joining their wine club, which offers some fantastic benefits. The ambiance at Winetastic really set the tone for the entire experience. The lighting was soft and inviting, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that made it the perfect spot for relaxing and savoring wine. It was a truly immersive experience that made me feel like I was part of something special. Winetastic offers a range of tastings and events that cater to both seasoned wine connoisseurs and newcomers like me. I had tons of questions, and Natalie was patient and thorough in answering each one, making me feel completely at ease. This wasn’t just a tasting; it was an experience! I can’t wait to return and explore more of what Winetastic has to offer. Whether you're a wine expert or a beginner, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Google
Staff was rude and seemed put out by having to do a tasting experience. We had high hopes for this place as my friends and I are often rotating our favorite wine spots to hang out, but the experience left us disappointed. It also would have been nice if they’d had even light appetizers to choose from, but there’s no food to pair with the wines. Definitely better service and ambiance at other places throughout DFW.

Google
Winetastic is great. They have a nice selection of wines and a very knowledgeable staff. A great place to pick up a bottle of wine or try a glass of something new. My favorite place to have a drink and meet with friends.

Google
The owner, Terri Burney was extremely rude! I didn’t know she was the owner at the time nor did I know she was a sommelier. I walked in and she asked was I going to have a glass of wine. No hello, or welcome. I was waiting on 2 friends to come which I told her. She seemed irritated they weren’t there yet and kept asking were they coming. The place was literally empty so I didn’t understand the rush. My one friend came and she asked again about the other. We stated the other was in traffic. By now she was talking to another customer who stated there shouldnt be much traffic because it’s a holiday. ( it was Juneteenth). Terri said it’s not a holiday! …. Well I guess it is. I’m black and both my friends are white. We said it is absolutely a holiday. I should have left then but we stayed. I ordered a flight. She seemed bothered that she had to keep pouring it. I asked about the taste of a few wines and she gave no explanation just pointed to the menu and said it’s that one. NEVER will we ever come back to this place. And she would not be in business. Do not go here.

Google
Great wine bar! Nice selection. Really enjoyed that wine by the glass selections. Purchased the Lion Tamer by Hess to go as well.

Google
A great tasting event to celebrate Francis Ford Coppola's 80th birthday! Enjoying a selection of his great wines and a screening of Apocalypse Now.

Google
It was a great experience. The wines are fantastic and the people there are knowledgeable and friendly. I keep coming back.

Yelp
Excellent wine bar in Dallas. Great wines to try and buy. The staff has lots of knowledge about wines. Great for new wine drinkers or wine veterans.

Yelp
This is my favorite wine bar! Great selection of wine by the glass, tastings, and bottles to go! Cozy and comfortable. Not pretentious but they know their stuff. Joined their wine club and love all the benefits. Owner Terri and her team provide great service and recommendations. Love going to Winetastic!

Yelp
Love this wine bar. The owner is so knowledgeable about wines and pairing with your taste. The atmosphere reminds me of a "friends central perk" but with wine.
google avatar

Kyle M.

Yelp
We enjoyed this wine bar. It's cozy and has a decent bottle selection and some by the glass. Prices seemed fair for the glasses. We will likely come back next time we need a glass of wine in dallas.
google avatar

Yelp
The wine selection here is excellent and the vibe isn't bad either. However, the food is a bit expensive and you can tell it's microwaved. I think I paid $15 for 6 rubbery meatballs with parm thrown on top. Just eat before you get here.

Yelp
What do girlfriends want to do when they get together!?! Taste Wine of course.... This was a day out with the ladies. This was located in a central area of north Dallas. Becky greeted us and was very friendly with explaining everything to us to get us started.... It was about 9 of us so there was no problem with the special attention that was given to us to go over everything.... It was a tasting of wine flights.... With many platters of different cheeses to choose from. They were all so delicious and was a perfect combination. We would visit here like two times a year. As part of our girls day out.... It was a great atmosphere & and very relaxing. We had an opportunity to learn so much on the different wine selections. The decor is also very nice.... I will forever come and enjoy a glass of goodness at Winetastic!

Yelp
Disappointed the staff were not wearing masks while working closely with the public.. place was packed and staff states, We only need to be 4 ft distance. More than 50% full because there weren't any empty tables, and sitting in booths too close.

Yelp
Winetastic is a great place to go for wine. Whether you're just drinking by the glass or picking up a bottle, you can't go wrong with their selection of wines. It's a small and intimate wine bar, with a nice selection of small plates. Highly recommend stopping in for your next glass or bottle of wine. Our new favorite wine bar in Dallas.

Yelp
Always a wonderful evening at WineTastic. Fantastic wine selection by the glass and side by side tastings. Great bottles at great prices to take home. Love come to spend an hour or two I. A beautiful atmosphere with friends.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere -- nice, but casual -- and the service is great. If you're going to linger, I'd probably get the tasting and then just do 5 "tasting" pours of the same wine if you know you want a certain kind. I think you'd probably get more of your money's worth. But hey, nothing here is really overpriced as far as the wine world goes. I did find the wine list a bit disappointing. I tried a couple wines (that my friends ordered) after ordering a glass of the syrah. None of them were very good. I lived just outside Napa for 4 years, so maybe I'm just spoiled. Still, it's a nice place to hang out after work or meet up with some friends to chat (you can actually hear each other, whee). Also, I hear they host viewings of "The Bachelor" on Monday nights. Yep.

Yelp
I don't know who peed in her porridge but the older white woman in glasses who worked here was incredibly rude to me. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Shonnie M.

Yelp
The owner is great and always recognizes us. We can never pass this place up on our trips in from Chicago. Excellent wine as always!
google avatar

Brett M.

Yelp
Walked into the wine bar, and the woman who worked there literally looked at me and continue to talk to her two friends sitting at the bar. I had to ask her for service twice, of which it was the worst customer service I've experienced in a while, not to mention making racist comments. Overcharged for slices of cheese, pathetic customer service, and was lackluster in every other way. Definitely not a place I would ever go again.

Yelp
My favorite wine bar in Dallas! It's super close for us so we'll stop in before dinner, or a casual evening. Becky and Daniel are awesome! You can easily tell they are knowledgable on wine and can make great recommendations if you don't know what you want. We love Winetastic because they never have a wine we absolutely hate and always have wines we've never tried but loved. Their wine club deal is awesome! You get 2 wines a month that already will be the value of you membership or more, a tasting and first Fridays are wine club bottle tasting too! A great place to go and enjoy wine with friends, date night or just a nice glass of wine! Side note- They always have cool little tasting events going on that are fun to check out.

Yelp
I hae been to WineTastic numerous time due to the fact that I live nearby. I enjoy it because it has a great selection to choose from by the glass for a reasonable price. It is more casual than most wine bars which I like. It is nice to imbibe without all the pretentiousness that most wine bars carry. I recently organized a meetup event there where I had 60 people show. Terri, the owner, was very friendly to all of the guest and accomodating to offer the wines that I personally selected for the evening. I wanted Spanish wines on the wine flight of the evening. She advised on what Spanish wines to offer. I did not have any complaints that evening, so I can recommend for groups. It also has a patio.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
I stopped in this evening with a business colleague and enjoyed a nice glass of wine. It has a great atmosphere, and the owner Terry is extremely sweet and knowledgable. The highlight of the evening... Monday is half price glass night! I look forward to coming back soon.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of going to WineTastic when there was a Champagne flight for 20.00 a flight for 5-6 wines. It's a beautiful room, with complimentary snacks of popcorn, cheese and nuts.. Terry the owner is an asset to the community and you can sense her love and passion from the moment you enter. Many other selections By the glass. If you are in the area go!!

Yelp
Although I am not a wine aficionado, I enjoy accompanying my wife when she is in the mood to sample some new varieties. These trips have taken us to Winetastic several times from events ranging from a Wine 101 class to tastings put on by specific wineries to just relaxing and enjoying vino. Although this is a pleasant enough wine bar, it seems that the experience is fairly inconsistent. Some times the service and selection are outstanding, but then they fall way off on other visits. It seems that they offer some good wines, but their prices often eclipse those of their competitors. That is OK, when you get really friendly, attentive service, but sometimes it is easy to feel like you have been forgotten when you have been sitting around for awhile. So, be prepared to have to get up and find someone to provide you a new pour. Also, you probably want to eat before arriving. Their menu choices are limited and often not worth the exorbitant prices. The meat/ cheeses plates are decent, but the sausage plate was ridiculous with minuscule slices at monstrous cost.
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
The knowledge and passion for wine in this place is apparent. Terry is a certified Sommelier. She knows her stuff. The tastings are not skimpy like you find at the more pretentious wine bars. Not only are the pours heavy, but the number of glasses per tasting will surely have you leaving with a smile on your face and a stumble in your step. After visiting a few wine bars around the city, I think this place offers the best bang for your buck. They don't have a full menu; however, they do offer some snacks, cheeses and meats. Not the best options for food, so don't go there expecting anything special in that department. They focus on what they know best! The have a number of tastings per month with people coming in to showcase wines of different regions, whether that's California, Oregon, Italy or France. There's always a fun event, special deal or promotion. And, if you are lucky enough to come in on a day when a distributor is there and giving you free tastings, please...CALL ME! It's a comfortable atmosphere with a friendly and welcoming staff. The regulars tend to gather at the bar and are outgoing and ready to make new friends. The lighting is low, there's plenty of seating, but it's still small enough to have an intimate and not overwhelming feeling.

Yelp
Went here two weekends ago for a $1 wine tasting! Can't beat that! Met a friend at 2:00 and stayed till 7:30. We went from one Wine Tasting to the following Spanish Wine Tasting form 6-9 p.m. The ambiance of the place feels like a quaint cave in the Napa Valley. The personal attention to the wine is appreciated. I do wish they'd add more to the food menu to accompany the wine tasting. The second wine tasting was a lot busier and crowded. So glad we got there early and claimed squatters rights to our booth. The wines and atmosphere are completely a hit for me! I'll bring back friends to enjoy long talks over a nice glass or bottle of vino!

Yelp
So I decided to drop in on a whim and I'm glad I did. The staff was courteous and the environment welcoming. I loved the tasting menu and perfectly crafted cake balls. I can't wait to come back. I would recommend this place for date night or maybe fun with the girls. It's an easy-going atmosphere and the wines are delicious.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and have a glass of wine with girlfriends and catch up. The small plates lack depth and very generic. Overall, a good place to have a glass of wine and hang out.
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in dallas. We refer to it as cheers. Great large bar with very friendly patrons and staff. You can grab a bottle from the retail section or try the tasting. Very knowledgeable staff. I have learned a lot about wine. Good parking in underground garage.
google avatar

Adriel W.

Yelp
Very rude owner. Went for a wine tasting. Was not accommodated nor taken seriously.
google avatar

Sally H.

Yelp
I've been a customer since the Grand Tastings (on McKinney) days prior to the move and will always be a loyal patron. Relaxed atmosphere, diverse crowd. The "Cheers" of Wine Bars. Great place for a beginner to learn from the tasting menu, and higher end wines as well. The specialty classes such as aroma and glassware are educational and fun! One of those places you feel comfortable going to alone to just sit at the bar and have a glass!

Jacob T.

Yelp
So came here with the g/f last Friday night to take advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free coupon I had received previously. Not surprisingly, it was a totally different experience from the quick stop I had made the previous Saturday afternoon. The place was mostly filled, with only 2 tables left open. Thus it was lively, but not crowded. Glasses ranged from $7 to $13. There were 5 to 7 options available for red, whites, and roses/sparkling each. In addition, there were 5 red wines by the glass only available Thursday thru Saturday that were at the higher end of the price range ($12-$13/glass). We were hungry and got pita chips and hummus. My personal perference is soft pita with my hummus, but most Texans seem to prefer pita chips (perhaps b/c they're more similar to tortilla chips?) so I won't hold that against this place. If you're coming in here just to pick up a bottle of wine, I still think that this is a 3 star establishment b/c of the limited selection. It is a nice place to go though if you want to get out of the house or imbibe a decent glass of wine after a long days work. If you go, be sure to get the punch card that earns you $20 store credit after purchasing 10 glasses of wine.
google avatar

Lawrence L.

Yelp
Very good event for my first time here at Winetastic. Have the actual winemaker brought in by the distributor is always a plus whenever someone like myself feels like getting geeky with wine. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

cl c.

Yelp
Organized a Meetup here. Wine and Chocolate. Great people. Terri was very sweet and knowledgeable. The wines were Yummy and one of the ladies in our group was given a wine to taste off menu because Terri believed she would like it better than the one planned. Lots of parking in the garage below. Elevator comes right up to the store/bar.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Terri is really great! If spend enough time with her, she will begin to learn your palette and introduce you to some amazing wines. It takes a few visits and several conversations, but that is what this place is about. You come here for conversation and to learn. This is not a crazy bar to get loaded and act like an ass.
google avatar

Sidney H.

Yelp
My wife and I have been visiting this wonderful wine bar for several years. It's a place to go, relax, chat with friends and meet new ones. There are many regulars you will see time and again. If you're looking for someone who knows their wines Terri will never steer you in a bad direction. Every employee there has made every visit a memorable one. I've gotten to try wines that I would never have thought to try and had samples of wines I probably couldn't afford by the bottle. The food trays are meant as a snack to compliment the wine your drinking. It's a wine bar people!

Monte M.

Yelp
Winetastic is a must for wine lovers. Terri & Jim are very welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a great place to try new wines, Terri knows how to pick the best. We have never been disappointed with any of the wines we have tried. Their wine club is a must also. Once a month we get 2 bottles of wine. It's fun to taste the wines, they are very generous with the pours. They are always having fun events and tastings. I highly recommend giving them a try. A few comments on the other reviews: There is plenty of parking in the 2-level parking garage. Don't park in the alley where there is one spot clearly marked for the owner of Winetastic. When buying wine, you buy Quality wines here, you won't be disappointed. Sure there are liquor stores with a larger selection, but you won't find a store clerk that has tried every wine they sell. Anyway, we love Winetastic.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
We love this place - we are even wine club members here. We show up for our regular wine club tastings, drag people here to enjoy wine with us, hang out when we need wifi...all the time enjoying hanging out with the friendly & knowledgeable staff. They have a good selection in the retail area and the 5 tastes for 15 is a good deal.
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Great place to try new wines before you buy. The pours we've gotten have always been generous and the staff is super knowledgable. Just tell them what you like and they will find a wine for you. They also have great specials and events, so sign up for the email list.

Yelp
Excellent place! A group of friends all came here after eating dinner next door and I thought I had died and went to heaven. We enjoyed sitting on the comfortable chairs and hanging out for about two hours visiting and, of course, trying wines. The man working was very knowlegable and easily answered all the questions I had. I typically don't enjoy whites much but he asked me some questions about taste preferance and brought me a glass of white wine that was perfect! I would be more specific but at that point I had drank quite a bit of wine there and was a "little" tipsy ;) I guess the biggest complaint that I would have is there wasn't enough Malbec!

Chris W.

Yelp
The Wife and I stopped in after dinner at Uncle Julio's accross the street. The decor is very nice - modern yet relaxing. We did notice a strange, somewhat unpleasant odor at first, but after a while we hardly noticed it at all. There was only one other customer when we arrived, so we received plently of attention from the tender. He explained to us the different options - 2 menus of wines by the glass (the first, larger menu ranges from about $8-$10/glass, and the "premium" menu hangs out around $20 each), or we could do 5 tastings for $17. We opted for glasses, and we're glad we did, as the tender happily stated "I'm going to pour you tasts of different things until I find what makes your eyes light up!" And he then proceeded to do exactly that - he asked us what our general tastes in wine are, and then he would pour a taste of something. Before he told us what the wine was, he let us taste and enjoy. He would then tell us what we were drinking, and more often than not those selections were his personal favorites and not even on the menu. Eventually he whittled it down until he found the perfect wines for each of us, at which time he poured a full glass. When the time came to pay the tab, he only charged us for the full glasses - not the tastes he had already poured for us! Seeing that, we felt happily obliged to bring a bottle to take home. We asked for his recommendations, a little nervous that he would try to sell us on something quite expensive. The tender, however, recommended a bottle that was extremely reasonably priced. I signed up for the email list - they have quite a few special events throughout the year, including parties for each of the Triple Crown races, so we'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Angie B.

Yelp
I like this place because it is not noisy like most other places on Fri-Sat nights. You can buy wine by the glass or bottle, but bottle prices are less than if you would have bought them from a restaurant. They do not have much food though.

Beth W.

Yelp
Fantastic wine! The variety is great for exploring! Service is wonderful and they remember you when you come in everytime. Highly recommend for a tasting, a glass, or a bottle!
google avatar

Monique V.

Yelp
This place deserves more than 5 stars. My husband and I went on Friday night for a wine tasting event. Let me just say the ambiance is nice and the people are even nicer. There is a married couple that works there on Fridays, they are super friendly as well. The wine is top notch and doesn't give you a headache. Generally the cheaper wines with lots of acidity gives you a headaches. This place tastes each and every wine that's sold to ensure it isn't cheap and doesn't have a strong acid content. The wine that's to die for, is the Red Mare. We had the pleasure of meeting the maker of Ref Mare, Jim Striegel. He was super pleasant and explained the content of each choice of wine served. I would definitely throw an event at this place or go to hang out with friends any day of the week!

Sean M.

Yelp
Great place. Great place and great hosts! A staple for every trip my wife and I take to Dallas
google avatar

M J.

Yelp
If you are not a regular, you definitely feel out of place (noted in other reviews). The staff and the woman I believe to be the owner, seemed to gravitate towards certain customers. If you are looking for a more in depth, educational wine experience, this may not be the venue. Nice space overall and good setting for a quiet date over wine.

E M.

Yelp
I've been to Winetastic a few times, most recently just a few days ago. The room is very atmospheric, there is a good wine selection, however the service is abysmal. Terri, the owner, is almost unfriendly to customers. My friend and I were the only 2 people in the place the last time I was there, yet we sat with empty glasses for a while before Terri roused herself from her laptop to check on us. This was not the first time I've had bad service here. I have many friends who were loyal customers when Winetastic was on McKinney Ave, but have stopped going because of Terri's attitude.

Franklin G.

Yelp
Whether I come by with friends, coworkers, or by myself I always have a great evening. The location is ideal and there is ample parking underneath. One of my favorite nights is half price BTG Mondays. You can't beat a great glass of wine for half price. If you like wine and like new experiences, you should definitely check it out as the tasting menu changes every week.
google avatar

Sheel B.

Yelp
Awesome selection of wines! I actually feel like I'm in Napa! I lived near there for a little while and have not found a place that fit the same aura until now. The people are incredibly nice and helpful with helping you find your specific taste. They also have great prices! Can't beat $19 for 5 tastes!

Linda M.

Yelp
In the area and did a Yelp search for "wine bars". This was the closest on our current route so we stopped...and couldn't be more pleased. A Saturday late afternoon and no crowds. Terri was awesome and and a joy to talk with! They have a good tasting menu (with generous pours!). The cheese tray had a wonderful local assortment with a lot more than we expected. We even left with a couple of bottles from the "market" area. This Tarrant county couple that will definitely be back.

Bill H.

Yelp
If you enjoy wine (or if you don't but would like to), you owe it to yourself to visit Winetastic. The wines they sell all provide great value and are not the same bottles you see everywhere else. Terri, the owner/Sommelier, took a small group of us on a Napa wine tour last week and I can't say enough great things about the experience. She got us into superb wineries that aren't open to the public, took care of all the bookings, and provided transportation so we could all concentrate on enjoying our tastings. Because she owns a wine shop, we got the red carpet treatment everywhere we went. And the price was right! This shop and Terri's tours get my highest recommendation.

Mark F.

Yelp
I've been here three times since moving to Dallas. I enjoy the wine flights, but most of all it is a great place to just relax. The owner, Terri, is welcoming and helpful. And, Daniel, who was my bartender on the first visit is attentive and knowledgeable. I also like it that they have wi-fi so I can come here and relax, while catching up on some work at the same time.

John L.

Yelp
This is place is great! Their weekly tasting menu is a good price for the nice pours and it changes all the time so you don't get bored with their offerings. Great staff and the bottle selection changes regurarly. Get on their email list to find out about the fun and interesting different wine types or special tasting events they have. They didn't hesitate to change the channel on a TV so we could watch the Rangers game like some snotty places do. Great place !!

Adam B.

Yelp
This is a fantastic place! We go there especially for the constantly changing (every month) wine list and the great thing is that every time we go we are trying new things. The wine flights are great and they have regular events that are fantastic. The service is supurb, the staff are very helpful, and they are really nice people! The place is named "winetastic" so don't go expecting lots of food choices but they do have a few selections that are great pairings with the wine. If you want to nibble, try the brisket sliders or the meat and cheese plate. There is plenty of parking in the garage, but they have to compete with the other businesses there so it can get a bit crowded during Friday and Saturday nights. While you are there, make sure you ask about their wine club it is worth it.

James L.

Yelp
Funny how there are 2 sides to each story. I was in the alley behind WineTastic when the above incident occurred. I was parked in the parking garage, which must accomodate 200 cars. The apparent owner of Winetastic was trying to park in a spot clearly designated for Winetastic. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but what I did hear is her saying "I'll meet you inside". The dude (Cameron) just turned and walked back to his car making some comment about the business. I have been in Winetastic several times and enjoyed the wines and the crew. They are attentive to all customers so I'm sure if the guy tried them again, he might enjoy the experience.
