Wing Ho Chop Suey

Ordered chicken moo shu and these people showed up with chicken soup and then asked if i payed more when i called back. No. i didn't get what i ordered. Didn't even try to make it right. Never again. Yeah I'm ordering out at a Chinese place at the end of summer for chicken soup. Brains must be soup. Take pride in your customer service and listen or at least try to fix your mistakes.

Large portions, friendly and overall yummy. The egg roll was good but the fact the cabbage was pink purple kinda threw me off lol because I'm weird. The hot and sour soup was very different from others I've had. This one had a lot going on, pretty good. The beef lo mein was yummy and so was the orange chicken. I want to come back and try the kung pao & sweet & sour chicken. I'd come back considering the other chinese food places are not so good in Elgin.

I just ate at this Chinese restaurant and I have to say it was a big disappointment. The food had absolutely no flavor — completely bland and tasteless. This is not authentic Chinese food by any means. If you’re looking for real Chinese cuisine, this is definitely not the place. I do not recommend it at all.

The first time that I ate there the food was ok the next time I went the food was not good. I was going to try it again and it was a big water bug or cock roach that ran up under the freezer.

No flavor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. There’s no taste, the chicken seems like it was just boiled in water, the meat tastes raw, they clearly don’t know what salt or seasoning is. Zero stars, ZEROOOO!!!

I concur with other reviews about the noodle dishes being very watery/soupy. Too much sauce / liquid in the lo mein. Also, there was no carrots in my lo mein despite it showing in the pictures of the dish. Somewhat disappointing

I ordered the orange chicken lunch special. The texture of chicken was super dry on the inside and lacked flavor. There were also several short strands of hair in my food

I’ve only had one not-so-great experience here. I cannot eat meat so I rarely eat at an outside location. All (but one) time I’ve eaten there it’s been delish and perfect. My dad loved the BBQ Pork. The vegetable egg rolls are my go-to. I frequently have it delivered out of laziness, and the delivery driver always knocks and leaves my food ((exactly what I want!)) I would give it 4.8/5.0 stars. I’ve never been inside so idk what to say about it.

I was excited to find a local restaurant for Chinese food. The staff on the phone were kind and the food was ready when we arrived. The shrimp kow was my favorite. The flavor was similar to one I had when I was younger and haven't had in a while. There was plenty of tender shrimp and book choy and the broccoli and mushrooms were tasty. The egg roll was huge and full of meat. I liked it but actually wished there was more cabbage/vegetable . The crab Rangoon were good but the filling was not too flavorful. I'm glad they're in the neighborhood and plan to return to explore more of their menu.

We used to order at least once a week at work, but the food went downhill and our orders were not ever the same. It's like there aren't any recipes'. A co-worker persuaded me to order again today. I am very sad to say that things have not changed! I ordered veg lo main oily (you can see the oil separating at the bottom of the container. There was only 4 peapods and about 5 or 6 pieces of broccoli, onion, carrots and bamboo! Awful! I can't believe someone thought this was ok to serve!

Food is decent but not great. The cabbage & veggies are cut way too huge. One star for lack of chopping abilities and presentation. Fried rice is not always consistent but is good at times. Egg drop soup is a no go. They keep raising their prices like everyone else I guess . Coupons are useless as they continually raise the minimum order to receive free items.

I found multiple plastic forks and spoons, along with wadded up paper in the bottom of my fried rice. Makes me very nervous about what was in my Egg Foo Young.

When you order from this place always ask for a receipt. I was overcharged by 80 cents. I asked for a receipt and she was hesitant and she said to me take a menu instead. I insisted on a receipt. So I got the receipt and found that I was over charged . If they over charge everyone that comes in there and no one pays attention can you imagine how much money they will have in over charges by the end of the week.

Very good for what it is, a carry out I had moo goo gai pan Cantonese hamburgers so to speak that makes this place legit good prices and quality nothing fancy just good

if i could give a lower rating i would! Food was cold after waiting an hour for delivery, chicken full of gristle, fried won ton and shrimp so hard and cold i couldn't chew it, no shrimp in one of the fried shrimp, just hard, cold breading. Spent over $30 for food I ended up throwing away. Called to let them know all this shortly after the delivery and they offered like10% off my next offer, which i refused because I will never order from them again. I'm seriously considering reporting them to the health department because even the egg rolls had something rubberband like in texture. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried it for the first and last time yesterday. Ordered the cashew chicken amd crab rangoons. Rangoons were decent however the white sauce with the chicken was goopy and gummy. Very disappointed.

My five star review is due to their customer service. My order was ready and fresh when I got there, and the man up front greets you with a smile. I think my order was wrong...But it's okay because the guy up front had great service and I didn't mind eating the wrong plate. One thing I'd say is that the Orange Chicken is way too sweet for me, I'll order something else next time

Hidden Gem in Elgin... Awesome little hole on the wall.... Don't let the blah store front fool ya.... Spectacular food at a very reasonable price. I have tried almost everything on the menu. Only item I thought could use improvement is the hot & sour soup. Other then that it a big thumbs up It is one of my favorite lunch spots. I'm a little surprised no one has rated them yet. If you live or work in Elgin it's a must try place. I'd give them a 5 but appearance is lacking. They could step up their game there. :)

Shaving off stars from my previous review. I've ordered food a few more times from here, and I've concluded thusly: All of the main courses are generally sub-par, with some outright bad. Strangely, their appetizers are pretty good. I think I've worked out the reason for the disconnect, though: they (probably) buy their appetizers frozen and just fry them up for orders. Order the appetizer sampler, or potstickers, but skip the main courses.

We've been heading here for a while now and have always been a fan. Lately, however, the egg rolls don't seem as good and the portions are smaller. They've switched the containers that they use and it seems like they've goofed the sauce to food ratio when filing them. I still love their chicken and shrimp fried rice and hubby still loves their crab Rangoon, though. Haven't found a place good enough for us to abandon this ship just yet.

The lunch specials menu is excellent. The best egg rolls anywhere. Their new menu items heavy on the jalapeño are delicious. Jalapeño fried rice is amazing. The Jalapeño chicken and beef are excellent. Their singapore noodles are delicious.

The lady was very nice the egg roll was very fresh and good the rice was under cooked and the beef in the beef fried rice was over cooked the sesame chicken was blah not my fave at all

We have ordered from here for years. They now have lost out business. Last night We called and ordered food for dinner. Chicken Chow Mein, Beef egg foo Yung, Orange Chicken and Chicken Noodle Soup. We order the same thing all the time. Last night the soup container was broke and half the contents were in the bottom of the bag. But the worse part is there was no Orange Chicken. This is not the first time! They are always leaving something out. I called them back and they wanted to give me credit I said no that this was my wive's dinner and we would like to eat and not have to prepare anything because the wive had gotten home late. They said they would bring over the rest of the order but it never showed. Like I said this is happening on a regular basis.

My boyfriend is a Chinese food junkie. We've tried about every place in Elgin and it's officially come down to this one. I always enjoy coming here. It's a small, hole in the wall restaurant that serves great food. We typically come in for dinner and the woman at the counter is everything I need in my life. She's rude, but in a glorious way. I'm not going to sit here and say that the food is "the best", but I've never been disappointed. It's cheap, fast, flavorful, and satisfying - Everything that is loved in a decent Chinese food hot-spot. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone.

Great Chinese takeout food best lunch special around been eating here id say around 20 yrs its in the ghetto but take it and go. I recommend the chicken broccoli and Kung pow chicken spicy. You cannot modify your food in any way so if your picky go somewhere else. Place could use a makeover menus on the walls are written by hand misspelled and look like shit. Walls in the lobby are dirty makes me wonder if the back is the same where the food is being cooked.

This was just OK for me, had BBQ pork and Beef Chow fun, cant say it was the most flavorful but not too bad either way. I have had better on both entrees and I have had worse, not bad for hitting the spot

Very poor food - Seafood smelled so bad we threw it out. You can tell they use canned mushrooms. Broccoli was pale green/brown and limp. Sauces were thick and unflavorable. Fried appetizers were very greasy and not flavorable. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...definitely not going back a third time.

I work for a fortune 500 company and tried to place an order today for lunch. I spoke to the rudest person. I told him we have an employee with seafood allergies and asked if they could cook her food in different oil he abruptly told me "no we don't do that". I told him then we will have to find another place to order from. He said " well you have your choice of places to go". Considering that I was placing several orders and also considering that we typically order from them multiple times throughout the month, one would think they would have been more accommodating. If he was an owner, shame on him, if not , shame on the owners for employing such a disgustingly rude person.

I usually don't write reviews but i felt compelled to write about the finest chop suey in town ordered from Wing Ho. The delivery was fast and friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Definitely the spot for Chinese food.

they're cheap. they're fast. the food's average...but its worth it. delivery too. just dont go there during busy hours. not a good neighborhood

We like it !! After our favorite chinese place went down the toilet, we searched for a new one, and Wing Ho won by far. Excellent food and service. Great egg rolls, the crab egg fu young is great. Lots of big chunks of crab. The General's chicken could be a bit spicier but otherwise great. Definetly recommend, We have been back many times.
