The food was hot and very fresh. The noodles were very good and I didn’t enjoy the duck like I did when I was younger. The flavor wasn’t there..

Google
I popped in for some quick Chinese takeout, and it seemed like they were undergoing partial construction. I ordered the deep-fried salt and pepper shrimp, chicken wings (which were a bit under-seasoned and greasy), and their Chinese sticky rice, which lacked flavor and needed soy sauce to enhance it. Surprisingly, these three dishes at half a pound each totaled $32, which was a bit higher than expected. They accept credit cards but require a minimum of $15 minimum. The parking in the area is always an issue. No free lots. While convenient for locals, it's not worth going out of the way for given the many other comparable options nearby.

Google
Food quality is really high quality. Love the fried fish when they have it. The black pepper spare ribs and very potato heavy chicken curry are amazing with white rice. Not cheap but definitely not expensive. Two item with white rice is worth it for a couple small meals or a very large one.

It's been a few years since we've been here Clements Chinatown. Love this area .. Small Chinatown. Love this place .. reasonable price n tasty. Love their Black bean Pork, Vegetables n Chicken n Steam Rice .. tasty n satisfying 😋👍 Next door is their Dim Sum .. there's always a line. Love the Pork, Shrimp, big size . They ran out of Mochi with Sesame n sugar inside. Nice stroll .. New stores opened up Didn't have time to go Kamei ... For bowls ....

Google
I love this place, favorite bbq shop on Clement. I only wish they were open Mondays because that’s the easiest day for me to get there. Been going for years when I can, service has always been just fine. As for atmosphere, it’s takeout so what do you expect.

Google
Prepared deliciously, variety of food, fast service. Payment in cash. Easy to find - right at the crossroads is the deli.

Google
Prices slightly up from a few years ago, but tell me how many places in the city can you get a tasty lunch with generous portions and for well under $10? At Wing Lee BBQ! Not the friendliest staff, on the border of rude lol, but I’ve come to expect it as I’ve been in and out for over a decade. The man with the apron is nice tho!

Google
This is the best Chinese barbeque spot in the city, you can get the best chow mein, fried rice and char SIU and ribs. Sometimes the line is long , but it is worth the wait.

Yelp
Salt & Pepper Goodness The Very Best Wings From A,Chinese Street Food BBQ. Been Going Here For Years & We Never Disappoint, The Price & Display Are Beautiful The Avery Best Experience YOU'LL Have Here. DON'T FORET TO WASH IT DOWN WITH A COLD BEVERAGE

Yelp
Roast Duck + Roast Pork over rice for $16.25. A-Maz-ING! Roast pork will obviously be greasy. Roast duck, crispy skin, with sauce. Rice is okay, kind of dry. Very quick in and out, for to-go. Small location on the corner.

Yelp
Chicken with condiment chopped green onion and ginger (yum). There's something about this chicken. Served cold. Skin is rubbery, in a good way. Goes with rice and condiment sauce.

Yelp
My go to place for lunch in San Francisco when I'm shopping on Clement Street big selection of different foods very fresh and the line out front means that it's good
google avatar

Yelp
Great generous portions- for $17 we were able to get a lunchbox that fed 2 people! Just make sure that you have your order ready when it's your turn, because these types of restaurants are extremely fast-paced (and potentially impatient). Takeout only, but there is a public seating area down the block in front of Pixlcat Coffee!

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Got some prepared foods for my guest. Lunch special - 2 items with chow fun. Well stocked for a Fathers Day afternoon, too bad I can not say that for their bakery next door, see other review. Atmosphere - If you miss your SF Chinatown experience, this is the place to be. Perfect replica experience from both the employees and customers which brings back memories, LOL. Open 6 days a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm, closed Mondays. Service - Minimum. Let's just say you have to be aggressive to get your turn and food. I have very few positive experiences coming here, but this was the most convenient for my guest due to where we parked. Been a long day driving here from Reno, NV, but you already know that if you are following. Price - $11.75, I guess their advertised prices include tax...? $1 credit card charge for charges less than $15. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for what I believe 20+ years.

Yelp
On a super strong block of delicious food along Clement Street, Wing Lee holds a dear place in my heart. Old school and hits the spot on any day. For years, my wife referred to this spot as "that delicious BBQ lunch place" since we were too preoccupied with looking at the delicious food in the window when we came to notice the name. Even nowadays, their lunch specials are affordable and fresh. Think of it as the best of Panda Express and your neighborhood Cantonese spot. We recently tried their char siu and portions were generous and delicious. Especially like their chow fun. For a BBQ spot, don't miss their vegetarian dishes, which are equally as strong! Just be mindful that even veggie appearing dishes sometimes have a hint of meat (i.e. one piece of tiny pork for flavor lol, classic). Finally, don't forget to stop by next door to get some dim sum!

Yelp
Great sticky rice fried rice. The roast pork was juicy and the skin was very crispy. The Soy Chicken was tender and tasty. The service is very good. The place was busy with a lot of people lining up for barbecue items. They have lots of different options like noodles and vegetables. The price is very reasonable. I recommend coming here and having some of combo items.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch and this place can get busy - was a solid line out the door when we got there. We got 2 rice plates, each with 2 sides and an additional side of fried catfish. Overall, the flavors were fine. My chicken thigh tasted a bit dry and I wish we got some more sauce with it. The stir fry veggies were also okay, not too flavorful but not overly oily. The chicken curry had the most flavor out of the sides in the rice plates. The best thing we got was the fried catfish that was crispy and flavorful. Was worth trying and a convenient spot for a meal that will fill you up if you're shopping in the area.

Yelp
Didn't come here that much...chicken wings and chicken drumsticks..2 item combo...really good 2 item combo...Richmond side of the park..Chinese take out...wanted to go back and have the 2 item combo..with a Coca Cola...Clement

Yelp
Wing Lee BBQ has the best char siu Chinese bbq pork in the Richmond. The quality is even better than Chinatown with the juicy sauce and tender pork. My family gets take out here often but you need to come in the morning/early afternoon for the best cut since it's first come first serve. They also sell Chinese fast food here.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
This Cantonese take-out place is good for a cheap and filling meal. I ordered a two-item combo with fried rice. The lady serving me gave very generous portions. We also ordered char siu and crispy pork. By far the crispy pork was the best entree. I also enjoyed the chicken, but the tofu/bean curd/mushroom dish was just ok. If you're looking for a cost-effective meal, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Imelda R.

Yelp
Roasted duck was spiced just right, not too salty and spices not overwhelming with the five spices. The duck skin had slight crisp to it at bite and meat was juicy. There was a short line before ordering but the women were fast and efficient - knocking down the line. The restaurant ( point & order if you don't speak Chinese like me ) is take-out; displayed hanging ducks, BBQ and food in the warmer was clean and looked fresh . Half duck would have been enough for 2-3 adults but the whole duck is only $10 more so I ordered a whole duck ( use extra for noodle soup).

Yelp
Been going here over 20 years. Best place to come to if you need to order for last minute party or school event. Ordered stuff for class parties, teacher appreciation, clean up days and other school or office functions. Fresh food and reasonable prices and especially for last minute gatherings. I can call ahead same day for simple favorites like fried chicken, fried rice, fried noodles, mixed vegetables and much more bit those are main popular items for school events!

Steve Y.

Yelp
This is the place to go for take out Chinese bbq and dishes. For good dim sum, go next door to their bakery.

Cathy G.

Yelp
They have the best roast pork BBQ. It's so juicy and fresh. I'd recommend the Peking duck too!

Yelp
Love stopping by here for their lunch box special. Food is served in a fast food takeout style. It's about $11 for 2 entrees plus rice. Authentic and tasty Chinese food for a good price. Just wish they gave bigger portions for the entrees. It can get pretty busy around noon where people start lining up outside. Menu inside is crusty and faded but that's how you know the food is going to be great. My favorites here are the roasted duck and BBQ pork. They have a sweet and salty smoky flavor, with tender meat. The kung pao chicken and fried chicken also looked good, will have to try next time. Note: There's an extra $1 fee if you pay with credit card for an order below $15.

Yelp
Wing Lee BBQ is your classic Chinese take out place with all the Cantonese barbecue meats hanging for you to see. You can smell the aroma from a block away. You'll get to see them chop up the meats and make the meal. It's a very quick in and out process, perfect for a lunch or for grabbing food for dinner party. I came here on Lunar New Year so there were lines out the door, but I suspect it's not as busy on other days. There are a bunch of other options to choose from for food, but I would recommend staying with the barbecue meats. My favorite was the duck, one of the best I've had from a place like this. Definitely a place to try out for some authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with a hole-in-the-wall Chinese BBQ shop. The duck and charsiu we got were both very good and juicy. We also loved the sticky rice so definitely get that on your plate! Price was reasonable and the ladies were patient as we figured out what we wanted. Had the typical vibe of a fast-paced Chinese BBQ place haha.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
They have really good chicken wings. Fried shrimp is good also I usually order rice with shrimp. I go All the time.

Johnny L.

Yelp
Love the food selection. There's no dim sum, but the cha siu is good. It's a great stop along Clement. The workers are nice.

Yelp
I have been coming to Wing Lee since I was in Middle School. Love all their entrees including their chow mein & fried rice. They have lunch specials, 1 item with chow mein or fried rice or 2 items with white rice. Many entrees from mix veggies, broccoli beef, tofu eggplant, etc. The best part is you can also incorporate their BBQ meats (roasted duck, roasted pork, Cha Shu, soy sauce chicken, and princess chicken) in the lunch entrees. Yesterday, I stopped by again and it was so nostalgic! It's been awhile, I ordered a lunch entree of chow mein and soy sauce chicken. I also got a whole soy sauce chicken to go (They're $28 each now, blame inflation). The lady will ask if you want it chopped up and I said yes! Also ordered a pound of sticky rice. Excellent food as usual. Their lunch entree has gotten smaller over the years tho. You can't go wrong if you want your Chinese BBQ meats here. I hope Wing Lee stays for years to come!

Yelp
Wing Lee Bakery is one of the many gems on Clement St and one of the best Chinese delis on this side of the city. Not only is the pricing and quantity great (combination plates at $9.45+tax and fried rice or chow mein for only $5/lb in this day and age!), but so is the quality. I particularly enjoy their fried rice, which is firm, not greasy, and tastes good, and their entrees are always fresh. Their salt and pepper shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, and kung pao chicken are some of my favorites. A definite must try for anyone in the area. They accept cash and credit ($15 min or a small fee if under).
google avatar

Vuoch L.

Yelp
Picked up 2 items with rice , more rice then items . stingy with the 2 items choices , I opted for soy sauce chicken and mustard greens . They gave 2 small thin slices of chicken and 4 pieces of mustard greens. So next time I will pass on the rice two items deal. Purchased 4 pounds of BBQ char siu meaty and easy on the fat . Taste really good according to the family. 2 pounds of the pork belly crispy skin , skin were crackling crispy and meat tender and hot . 2 soy sauce chicken , this is my favorite, flavors were spot on and not too salty , Meat were tender. Lines were long but goes by quickly .

Yelp
Grabbed food here a few times recently and -- alongside good luck dim sum also on clement street offering the best dim sum- this establishment offers all the other best mouth watering delectables: noodles, half or whole roast duck, chicken or pork ribs, vegetables, fungi dishes w tofu - you name it. Highly recommend this place is you're looking for some bomb takeout without the price tag. Service is quick and witty- and yes Apple Pay is accepted.
google avatar

Lisa X.

Yelp
Great place to get a whole or half roast duck for a party or for yourself! Hey no judging! Or get their very affordable lunch boxes.
google avatar

Melody L.

Yelp
There's a reason why there's always a line for this Chinese take out joint! The lunch deal is amazing value at only $9.25 for 2 items over white rice. There aren't any labels for the various food items, but I found that pointing works just fine. I originally tried to get the lunch special with roast duck, but the auntie said something about how that wasn't possible (I might've misunderstood her), so I just got two types of chicken instead. Service isn't their forte here and the aunties may yell at you, but just know that it's all in good faith. Plus, you're getting an unbeatable deal! The food was so flavorful and filling that I couldn't even finish in one meal. Bring cash.

Edwina J. O.

Yelp
Ordered food to go. Had one lb. Of the sweet and sour chicken and half lb of the sweet rice mix. Good portion and price . Will go back for more !
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered the fried rice by the pound for a BBQ and it did not disappoint! Reasonably priced and delicious. Very authentic and a neighborhood favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
yummy yummy meats - all the chinese meats you want hanging on display for you to pick from their DUCK though - so juicy & flavorful - it's dripping with juices SLURPPPP. we came here on a whim, after seeing the line from their dim sum & then smelling the meat next door. so glad we did & now it's a family favorite spot. Also tried a number of other dishes, but I think their duck & crispy pork belly are the best ones! they also have great prices for lunch meals. service is a little bit hectic, but don't expect anything less from a place like this haha

Yelp
This review is for the BBQ store during Covid time. We bought their roast duck and roast pork. Line was easy and people seemed to be incorporate with 6ft social distancing and wearing mask. Their roast duck was surprisingly very delicious and juicy. No stinky or gamey aftertaste feeling whatsoever. Their roast pork is one of the best pork to eat by itself or you can use it for BBQ noodle soup or simply just with rice. I would definitely come back to get their BBQ roast pork when we're around in Clement St. During pandemic the parking lot is not as crazy as before pandemic, however, beware to feed your parking meter if you're parking on the street as I've seen many traffic police giving tickets to expired meter. Tip: The dimsum store is right next to the BBQ store. People also have been raving for the dimsum as well.
google avatar

Sam Y.

Yelp
Pretty good, fast line during lunch hour. Two aunties behind the food, getting your orders in. The white rice with two items is $7 cash total. I like their curry chicken and eggplant over rice. Other good ones are roast duck or crispy pork belly. One of 3 main take out places on Clement!
google avatar

Minh N.

Yelp
This is our to go place in the inner Richmond to get our Chinese BBQ cravings satisfied! Its also a very affordable place to get a lunch plate if you are too lazy to cook that day. My favorites to get there is the roasted duck - I usually ask the ladies to pick me one with "less fat," the BBQ char siu, salt and pepper shrimp and crispy roasted pork! We feel lucky to have such delicious assessable Chinese take out so nearby!

Gmy M.

Yelp
Dishonest , be careful When you picked a bbq pork , they will cut into pieces and add some left over behind the wal, I saw them pick some meat from the side and cut to the box. It added u a few dollars which was not fresh from a few days ago It is how they sell all their left over by adding to your box and weigh to your order
google avatar

Lena T.

Yelp
Great spot for Cha Siu, Roast Pork, and Duck!!! They also have other carryout items like the Fried Chicken and other dishes like Tofu and Eggplant, Noodles, etc. that are solid as well. It's also next door to their Dim Sum place which is also sooo good!!! Been going for many years and is a really great option!!!
google avatar

Milton Y.

Yelp
They do a good job cooking some traditional Chinese buffet party dishes and some random street food selections. My favorite is the sticky rice and the roast duck. But I have tried several other items like the chow mein, fried rice noodles, fried drumsticks, salt and pepper wings ( hint: needs a few more sprinkles of the pepper salt to add more kick to them) and the kung pao is my favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
I hate to give this place a bad review because their food quality is good but the service and business practices are very questionable. I've had multiple bad experiences so far. I came here a few days ago when I was craving their roast pork and I bought 1 lb. The lady cut my pieces and sneakily dumped in uneatable bones into the weight and went way over 1lb. I didn't notice until I got home. I was really disappointed. Another time I came, the lady was super rude. Asked me to hurry up with my order. The lady in front of me actually complained to the guy at the register because she was told to "be quiet" because they couldn't hear when another person order. She was super upset about it. The guy at the register didn't really care about her complaint and just ignored her. Didn't say sorry or anything. Some positives is that the food quality is good. Their roast pork is my favorite in the city and price is reasonable. Roast pork is $10 per lb or $300 for an entire pig. Also a lots of choices with their lunch boxes! I do have to say however that their portions are getting smaller in their plates though but it's still enough for a full meal with some leftovers! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, food is good quality but service is absolutely horrible. I think adding in bones into the box to add weight is NOT okay and unethical. They've only done it once to me but if they do it again, I'm changing the rating to 1 star.
google avatar

Alisha H.

Yelp
They have a variety of goodies hanging in the window that are eye catching. But they are just as tasty as they look! We get a variety of items here and then go next door. Cash only, and the line is a bit slower than the dim sum but worth the wait.

Yelp
"...but the most important rule of all, no mater how much he cries, no mater how much he begs, never, never feed him after midnight." - Gremlins Wing Lee on Clement Ave & 6th has to be my go-to for "cheap Chinese" food when I'm in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco. Yet, every time I'm here I can't help thinking Gremlins and Mr. Wing in that curio shop and that after-midnight rule. I guess Mr. Wing sure influenced the way I eat? Okay, Wing Lee has nothing to do with Gizmo or mystery boxes, but it does have old Chinese ladies and fresh, cheap Chinese food! Get the combo! For me, it's all about timing so I'm usually here before the lunch crowd arrives. And no, I don't speak Cantonese, however I'm good at finger pointing lol. Wing Lee has nothing to do with Bruce Lee either, but the prices here Kung Fu kicks all the other eateries to the curb! I mean $6 for a combo plate? C'mon now?! And good stuff too... my favorites include the Orange Chicken, Beef Chow Fun, Roasted Chicken, and Spare Ribs (if you luck out)! Any combo is good with me! Did I mention the proportions? No worries... Wing Lee gives huge scoops of tasty foods over a bed of rice or noodles! In the end, I recommend Wing Lee to all looking for a bargain meal that's hella good! Let's just keep this spot between you and me though... we don't want Mogwai killing all the Spare Ribs! I end with one of my favorite songs by Paul McCartney and Wings... And when I go away I know my heart can stay with my love It's understood It's in the hands of my love And my love does it good Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa, whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa My love does it good... Wing Lee certainly does it good!

Yelp
Juicy roast pork .. their roast pork by the pounds is really juicy with pretty good fat content ratio to the meat. pretty cheap as well. I forgot how much I paid for 1/2 LB of roast pork, but it was little less than $5.00. really good with hot steamed rice and ABC sambal from Indonesia; and eat them with your hand.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Felt like a cha shu kinda night and ended up at wing Lee. This is not my usual go to place but traffic to the sunset was bad and I ended up here after a quick google search instead. The little store serves roasted meat and Chinese dishes to go. I only got the cha shu and thought it was delicious. The meat was a little fatty and had the right amount of sweet. They do take credit card but charge a $1 for under $15. Staff was nice

Girl F.

Yelp
the food is okay however, you really have to watch when they charge you. I only bought two things- 1) eggplant (M) box and 2) roast pork 1.7lb I was charge almost $53.00 for that. I left the store and had to go do more shopping. After the shopping, I thought how the heck did i get charged almost $53.00 for only 2 things!!! so be careful when they charge you.

Angelo D.

Yelp
This place is a joke saw it at instagram and they said should try it and they give big portion. They actually give so little for $13 two item got 3 pcs of chicken wing and small portion of chicken with zucchini and the chow mein its dry. I won't pay for $13 for this item. Please don't go here and it's very disappointing and taste is so bad it's a joke

Mark B.

Yelp
Food was all cold. It was at 2 PM lunch rush. I got the duck and pork noodle combo and it was just super greasy and all cold. All of it. Duck skin also was very soggy and super chewy. I am not coming back.
google avatar

Jade T.

Yelp
Ah-haa... it's Cantonese take-away food central on a busy corner of Inner Clement, basically known as San Francisco's second Chinatown. The lunch box is your basic white rice topped with two items. I forget what my mother got, but I chose Pork, which turned out to be extra-fatty spare ribs, plus Eggplant with Fried tofu. It was fine, portions were moderate. Can't really complain for the price. Line to order goes out the door but moves quickly. As is still common in some long-established mom-and-pop shops, plastic money won't work; cash U.S. dollah bills are the only acceptable form of payment.
google avatar

Geri S.

Yelp
Serving portions on the 2-item + rice are smaller than before. I think I was overcharged - no rice available - they substituted chow fun and charged me $8.

Duane M.

Yelp
It's so sad I have to even post this. I have been coming here for almost 3 years!! This is my favorite spot. Most of the time service is amazing. Today I came around late afternoon early evening , and spoke to a lady behind the counter, I asked about prices on certain items since some of the foods weren't available. Immediately she began huffing and puffing over the question, yelling her answer at me to which I did not understand, and then continued to not want to repeat herself. So I gave in and told them fine I'll take the 1lb because that's the only part I understood. Then her not understanding me when saying yes, she becomes even more upset and continued throwing chicken in the box on top of the obvious shit talking to the other worker in a different language. When it Came down to paying for it, she began a to get impatient as I'm pulling up my Apple payment. At this point I was so done. I explained to her it's obviously a communication error, and the masks on top of that. But I was over it. And demanded a refund and left. Never have I been so disrespected in a food establishment. And it really makes me not want to come back. I live just a few blocks away and frequent quite often. I'm so disappointed. please do better, we're all one community here.

Yelp
This is my first time here. I was attracted by the bbq pork hanging inside the display. While waiting I saw the duck rice plate comes with 1/4 duck so I ordered that too. However, when I opened the box of duck plate, I saw that I got the dark meat quarter (yay) then realized I only got the drumstick part and the carcass part under the leg, but the whole thigh was missing . Barely any meat and not honest at all. To be fair the duck was very tasty, not so overly salty like other restaurants. Bbq pork was tender and good taste too. I might go back in the future and ask for a whole duck or half duck not cut up so I am getting what I paid for.
