The first time I went, I bought rice paper. Exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been 2 times since, and it’s expired, yet still on the shelf.

Absolutely rude pitiful behaviour by the fish sellers in this shop. I have never been treated so rudely for just asking a simple question. You fish sellers don't realise how stupidly you behaved to me.

Great supermarket and great snacks available! This almond flavour pocky I have not seen before and it’s very nice. Have many different kinds of Asian products from south east, south and East Asia

The staff at the counter was really rude today. I was queueing to pay (as were a few other customers behind me), then when I got to the front of the line, there was another customer just cut in from the side without waiting in the queue. I had to tell her that she needed to queue just like everyone else, but the man at the counter started to serve her anyway, and even worse, he said to that customer "no problem" and completely ignored the fact that she obviously cut in line. Then afterwards when I came to the counter to pay, the man didn't offer a single word of apology or even just an acknowledgement --- it was really bad, not at all how customers should be treated. The man at the counter was the middle-aged man who is usually working behind the till.

The range of items is okay but need more time to shop around and check the availability of the goods. The disappointment was that the uncle put different price in the counter 😒. I didn’t check until i left the shop. Both tapioca starch cost the same, but it turned out differently.

Has a huge range of Asian products in store. The prices seem reasonable although there's no nearby shop to compare them to. Wish they had Korean corn dogs, though.

Very polite and friendly got what I needed, and what I didn't get was written down and told when to come back and buy it. Have been shopping here for nearly 3 to 4 years and never been let down ever. Good place to buy Chinese, Malaysian, Korean and Thai ingredients. If they don't have it, they will order it for you to pick up in a day or two. Best Asian shop in Brixton market. Would recommend it for everyone.

Does it have as good a range as China Town? No. But it's amazing having them in Brixton for great stuff I don't need to trek all the way to central London for. Service - don't expect a smile here. But that's just how it is.

Yelp
There is nothing like a good old Asian/oriental supermarket. Rice noodle? They got it! Fat rice noodles? They got it! Korean pack noodle? They got it! All the ingredients you need to make Tom Yum soup? They got it! Despite the less than appealing fishy smell, it's still one of my happy places in Brixton. I mean, what's not to be happy about fish sauce for 79p? Especially when Sainsburys wanted to charge me over £2.60! Are they insane? Don't they know there is a recession on? Needless to say Wing Tai had made nested in my heart because it flies in the face of consumerism, and give the little man a chance to enjoy fish sauce too! Fish sauce is not just for the rich. Fish sauce is for everybody!

Yelp
Just absolutely terrible! The staff are awful, food expired, the store has no one on the floor to help you, and if you ask, you get shouted at!!! Damn won't be going there again, there are so many better stores close by, just avoid this one all together!!

Yelp
You need asian stuff? They've got asian stuff. Fresh mangosteen? Yup. Asian pears? Yup. Durian? Yep, you can pick up the fruit here and fly it to Singapore and take it on the bus and get arrested. A dizzying array of rice-based noodles? Ayup. Shellfish and odd things that you don't know how to cook? Weird things to drink? Tofu? Thai curry paste? Lemongrass? Coconut milk? It's all here. It used to be everywhere when I lived in San Francisco. Thankfully, I now live across the street from just such a place...

Yelp
Thai Basil? Nope ... Oishi green tea? Nope ... Oyster sauce? Couldn't find ... You need Thai stuff? They don't have Thai stuff ... You need Chinese stuff? Wing Tai is the perfect place to go. I expect a bit more from an oriental supermarket ... Left the store with empty bags and ended up at Waitrose.

Yelp
Great Chinese supermarket in South London, which is a rarity. Lots of choice too, and prices were generally on par or even cheaper than in Chinatown.

Yelp
Terrible! I know I'm spoiled for choice being from NY and having all of Flushing at my disposal, but this was not a good Asian market. Range of product was basic and for the distance from Central London, I would recommend heading over to Dalston instead. I guess I'll just have to wait for visits home for the real deal. For the record a real Asian market should have fresh veggies, seafood and meat counter. And, a counter for steamed buns, pastries, and hanging duck and crispy and roast pork for takeaway. Oh London, yet another disappointment when Chinatown is really as authentic as it gets. Hang your heads in shame.
