Randy’s Wing Bar Review - City - London - The Infatuation

"Randy’s is a casual spot for getting dirty with some fairly messy wings, Add a couple of your pals and several of their Kentucky juleps in to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a party. The wings are prepared in imaginative sauces, for example, the Casablanca wings, which are infused with harissa, and served with pomegranate seeds and a mint dressing. They’re definitely worth the risk of leaving with sauce on your chin. They also do a mean bottomless buffalo wings and beer deal for £29 on Saturdays. Google
This place is great! The mild wings are incredible, big, juicy and deep fried to crispy perfection . The fried pickles are the best in town, the mugs are frosted and the beer is cold!

Google
This was my first time here. I ordered the hummm spicy honey chicken sandwich. It was prepared just right. Not too crispy but not floppy. It had a great taste to it. My wife ordered the loaded nachos and she raved about it sadly I wouldn't try them because she loves sour cream and I can't stand it I will definitely go back and try other foods soon.

Google
This was the best wings I've ever had. We tried multiple flavors and multiple levels of heat. Every flavor was perfect. We got all drumstick wings. They was perfectly crispy and we loved it, ohhh and the cheese curds. Mmmmmmm..... Our server was super friendly and was beyond fast on refills. We will all go back and we will go back often.

Google
The beer is huge and ice cold would give a 10/10. The Diner burger is amazing by far the best in the tri-state. Asian Kick wings were delicious as well.

Google
We try to make this a weekly stop. They have great daily specials, lots of TVs to keep up with games, tasty food, and some of the best customer service in the region. We are made to feel like family here. They are good humored and went along with it when we asked them to sing happy birthday, but bad. The servers sang to my husband in the most flat, monotone version of the song we've ever heard. We laughed so hard!

Google
Had lunch here today and it was pretty good. I got 10 traditional wings, 5 Buffalo hot and 5 hot honey bbq. I also got cheese curds, Bavarian pretzel bites with queso cheese, and fries. If you’re around the area I’d highly suggest giving them a try.

Google
Our store chooses a place every Friday to get lunch from. Never had any problems at this place untill today 😡 called to let them know when I picked up the food we was Missing a sandwchich and fries (no big deal… untill it was) she practically called me a liar, would NOT let me speak untill I asked for a manager. She thought she had me mute, but didn’t. She was talking so bad about me, cussing, and everything. I stated “I can hear you”than it gets QUIET, not a peep. The manager gets on the phone and pretends it was her the entire time (I wasn’t born yesterday) so they like to act like you’re stupid as well. The manager did bring the sandwich to us and apologize. That wasn’t even an issue anymore at that point. We need better service here handling the problems not children.

Google
The Pros: Amazing. If you love the cheese curds at bdubs , then you will love these even more! Also ordered chicken Philly with curly fries and enjoyed every bite. My husband ordered the half rack of ribs, slaw, curly fries and 6 boneless wings and he would not shut up about the ribs. He really loved them. The cons: It is a bit overpriced but has great food. Coming back for sure.

Yelp
What we ordered: 7 Piece Wild Wings and pretzel bites and beer cheese 10 piece hot wings Friend shrimp Grilled chicken salad 1 beer Sweet tea Diet Coke Price: $62 for all Overall thoughts: comfortable atmosphere, great food for a good price, and friendly staff! Would return again if I'm in town. PRESENTATION & CREATIVITY- I believe all food is art. This meal was presented nicely on trays. QUALITY & TASTE- Everyone has their own opinion of preferences of taste. This meal was tasty and not too spicy. The beer cheese and pretzels were so good!! SERVICE & HOSPITALITY- One aspect of a great experience at an establishment is the service of the staff. At this location, the staff was very friendly. We told them it was our first time there and they explained their menu and gave us recommendations. VARIETY OF OPTIONS- Some establishments offer very diverse menu. At this establishment, they had a huge menu! However, if you are trying to eat healthier you may only find a few options. BANG FOR YOUR BUCK? Is this too expensive for the quality of food? It was worth it! I'd return again if I am back in town. EXTRA NOTES: Good parking lot Near Lowes Lots of TVs High bar tables and booths available.

Yelp
Service is ok . Food is cheap . Limited beer selection . But for Flatwoods KY most would say a 5 star eatery . If you have ever even been to an Applebees it is a 1/5 . Nothing in Ashland area has any class at all ! Hillbilly haven ! Inbreed city !

Yelp
Service was a 0/10. Had to ask multiple times till the waitress finally brought refills. After waiting half an hour for food the waitress said "the computers shut down" and that our food order just got put in. Then did not receive half the orders when they arrived. Will never come back.

Yelp
This place was awesome. Exactly what Wings should be. The sauces were on point, the service was great and the atmosphere was right on. As a fan of wings I didn't expect anything fancy, and I didn't get it. I did expect some good solid wings cooked correctly and not soaked on grease. I got exactly that. These are solid wings. Blast them with the Tweener or Hot Barbie sauce and get set for great flavor and heat on top of a delicious wing. Compliment that with a cold beer and you have everything you need. My new favorite local wing spot is Wings Etc... I live about 30 mins away but the drive is worth it.

Brady M.

Yelp
the service was bad, it was slow. me and my girlfriend waited 30 minutes for a refill and never got one our server was watching the tvs instead of helping people, they took forever to give us our check.
google avatar

Donna N.

Yelp
Ordered takeout. First impression was that the portions were great. The curly fries were nice crisp on outside and tender on inside. I ordered chicken tenders, the tenders were nice and large, but they were a bit overcooked. The tips of the tenders were dry and hard. Glad I ordered and paid for additional dipping sauce as the little 2oz cup was not enough for the amount of chicken. My dinner companions thought their meals were ok, but wings were nothing special. Their loaded fries were the best part.

Yelp
Party of three for lunch for our first visit. We were promptly seated. Server was very friendly. We ordered basic lunch stuff. My mom is gluten free so ordered her salad and told the waitress no croutons. Our first orders came out without the salad. Waitress explained they made it wrong and she made them redo it. I was grateful for her attention to detail. Our food was hot. Nothing fancy but it was worth the money. We will be back.

Yelp
Drove 30 minutes to this location for dog friendly patio. While I appreciate the fact they WOULD have taken us in, I'm very worried that the patio gate was locked. Even more concerning with a wheelchair on the patio dining at the time we visited. Serious fire code infraction that sent us back on the road in search of dog friendly dining. Please unlock the patio for safety sake

Mert R.

Yelp
If you like wings fried then a crap load of sauce poured over them then this is your place
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great wings! The sweet chili Cha-cha is my favorite sauce. The apps are great too. I highly recommend the pretzel bites. It's a great place to grab a bite and enjoy. The outdoor patio is a nice option as well.

Yelp
In town from Vancouver, Washington to visit my godson who's playing Football at Kentucky Christian University and we came here on Sunday to watch football. I'm glad we did the Wings were as good as advertised, crisp outside, moist inside and great size with lots of sauce choices (22). They have alot of options for all palates and full service bar which we sat in for enough time to watch early (Ravens) and late (Packers) nfl games with plenty of friendly banter with opposing tables. The wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive..Our water and Beer were never empty. Thank you for the hospitality

Bryce A.

Yelp
Good food & good service! This would have been my second time dining here and I've been treated great by the workers! I would suggest the outside seating area if you want to chill out with your friends! I will say that the Dill Pickle Chips were better this time! Last time they were not done!
google avatar

Sandi B.

Yelp
The breaded mushrooms were OK. At least they were hot. The Fries were Luke warm and limp. The fish was greasy and over-cooked, but there was plenty of it. The two tablespoons of slaw were so-so. Our fault for ordering fish in a wing place.

Dave N.

Yelp
Absolutely the worsts service. I ordered a beer and an appetizer. 20 mins after I finished my appetizer my order for dinner wasn't taken. When I said cash me out I'm going somewhere else, she said oh I didn't know you wanted dinner. I said did you ask? She said sorry I didn't. Oh and, DON'T order the fried pickles. They taste frozen and oil is dripping from them when you pick one up. All you can taste is cooking oil.

Yelp
Went there for first time today with 2 of my granddaughters, between the 3 of us we had mozzarella sticks, chicken, bacon, swiss sandwich, all american diner sandwich, straight fries, boneless mild chicken, chicken quesadilia and 3 pops. The mozzarella sticks, french fries and chicken sandwich were delicious. The all american diner burger was good and would've been delicious had it not been for the bun...it almost tasted like it was wet. The rest was not good plus $3.00 for 1 glass of pop...total bill was almost $65.00 dollars. I was very disappointed and shocked by the prices. The restaurant itself is nice inside...lots of tv's and good atmosphere. We also had a great waitress but we won't be returning.

Yelp
We came on the spur of the moment tonight for dinner. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. The food on the other hand was the problem. I've had better wings from the frozen food aisle in a bag. They were juicy on the inside but they were very hard on the outside and had minimal sauce. We had loaded French fries and the cheese appeared to be a glob of thick canned cheese and a few specs of bacon. The fries had obviously been cooked for a while because they were cold when they were served. The price was also extremely high for what we got. For a family of 4 it was well over $60 for an appetizer,4 meals and soda. I'll drive to BWW every time from here on out.
google avatar

Katy E.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place and their staff. Awesome food cold beer and great service. Prices are very reasonable. Can't believe we just found it.

Yelp
Well, being from Tampa (the home of Hooters, Beef O Brady's amongst other good wing joints) I may expect more from a wing place than most do. So please bear with me. The wait staff was friendly and nice, thankfully they don't depend on skimpy outfits to try to fake being a good eatery as some places do. (Not that the visual is a bad thing just a bit sexist when taking the fam) The wings were cooked well, the sauce on the other hand was lacking. I like hot sauces and theirs is a bit on the chalky side, flavor isn't that bad just can tell they use cheap spice rack seasoning to get the flavor and it never gets past being dried seasoning. The fries are ok, the tots were overdone and dry. The chicken tenders with honey mustard I am told was "decent"(my son's detailed review). The prices aren't too bad and the atmosphere was good for a sports pub. So in closing it is ok in a pinch and probably even better if you're drinking but would be ok to take the kids for lunch as I did. It's worth a shot in an area with no competition, no BWW is not even good enough to be considered competition when KFC wings beat them hands down. Try this spot, it may be your new favorite.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
We just tried this place out and holy cow was it good! Every sauce they let us try was really good! The best has to be the hot honey garlic. I definitely will be back and the price wasn't too bad either.

Ed B.

Yelp
Food was great but the service was not. 10 minute wait before anyone even came to the table and then she don't know anything about what they had on tap. Waited another 10 minutes for her to come back. Loaded tots were great and the wings were awesome. Everyone was friendly but the service needs some work.
google avatar

Bryant M.

Yelp
The food is good nothing special. Your average bar food. Nice place to grab a beer and watch a game with some friends.

Timothy O.

Yelp
Nothing at all like you would think for a wing place. The wings are advertised as jumbo wings I got six wings that were no bigger than you would get a B dubs or anywhere else the garlic Parm sauce was cold I ordered the ribs and wing combo $18 in the portion size was very smallThe food did not taste bad it just wasn't worth the price I paid. Probably will not eat here again unless I'm in the area and there's no other choice I drove all the way from Portsmouth to try it. Roosters is by far the better. I tried other items like the Wrap, and tots not impressed

Heather S.

Yelp
Good service and environment. I've ordered a side of wings each time and hot honey garlic is still my favorite. Disappointed in some of the sauces not sticking to the wings and just a puddle below. Nothing special about their side items...very average. Their buffalo chicken wrap is not something to pass up though! It's hard to try new food here because it is that good.
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Big plump wings. Ice cold beer what more do you want sports on a dozen TVs five star all the way

Marcon B.

Yelp
Well I started off eating here very often when they first opened. There wings are better quality than roosters or BW3's. The biggest problem is how inconsistent the sauce is. I love the Wango but it can very greatly in heat consistency from day to day. They have fairly good drink specials most days as well, but today was a different story. I got a tanker and it was filthy, I've noticed it before and not said anything, but I did let the manager know today. Let's hope she was serious when she said she would let her staff know. Next time I get the tanker I'll be keeping an eye out to see if they actually did clean them and I'll edit this review acordingly.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
The reason this place gets four stars is because I've had great food there multiple times but the last two times I've been the food has been very dry and seems like it's not been cooked fresh. But when this place is on it's a game it's an amazing place from thereBoneless Wings Buffalo Chicken Wrap Double Dogs Holy Cow . . Their nachos are to die for

Zues G.

Yelp
Chicken wings were great! Remindful of a roosters type environment! Great drink specials, fair prices, don't pass it up! Worth the stop!
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
If I wanted pink chicken I could have gone to Kroger and bought it raw, rolled it around on the grill for two minutes and eaten it. Awful. Won't be back.
google avatar

Ricky O.

Yelp
Great beer, great food, great environment. The bone in jumbo wings are bigger and better quality than you get at BDubs. The sauces are geared more traditionally as a hot sauce and not a buffalo. Great menu variety. Will eat here again and again!
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Been twice - food is good! I'm excited to try it again after they've established themselves and are well staffed
google avatar

Ashley-Jonathan E.

Yelp
host nor server were very welcoming.. food was all gross and cold. The wing challenge is to eat 17 wings with the hottest sauce.. we think the challenge isn't eating the hot sauce but eating the nasty dry old tasting wings..

David S.

Yelp
I ate here a few weeks ago for lunch. The wings in my opinion were very good. I went with my ever favorite Asian sauce. The tater tots was a pleasant surprise and a change from the same old fries other restaurants serve. The service was friendly and prompt. I'll be back!
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
Tator Tots are great why more restaurants don't offer them I'll never know. Burgers frozen and ok wings are pretty good. Beer was great our first visit. Beer warm and foamy the next 2 visits probably won't be back even though I love the tankers!!!

Jacob S.

Yelp
Wings are excellent and larger than other places in town. Had it twice - will keep coming back.

Crystal R.

Yelp
This is the worst place ever for wings. They taste like the anytizers that you get from the frozen section at Kroger. It looked as if they laid, what I guess, was to be boneless wings in a platter and drizzled sauce (very little, some of mine were even dry) over them. They were less than room temp. For the amount of money you spend on dinner/lunch there and the amount of time you wait, the food should be toe curling good!!! If that's what your looking for, this IS NOT the place to go!!!!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Best wings I've had in years--meaty and cooked nice and crispy. Great bleu cheese dipping sauce as well. Service was friendly and professional. Server gracefully catered to special requests. Wish I could remember his name. Fantastic young man. Fun atmosphere. Music was just a tad bit on the loud side.

Muna V.

Yelp
Good wings. Great service. My husband had a burger and really liked it. I liked the wings, but was a little disappointed with the sauces. I liked the flavors I got (2), but the sauce was soooo runny, it would not in any way stick to the wings. Even dipping the wings repeatedly in the sauce didn't do the trick.

Chelsea D.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place out. My friend, a local, had said it just opened and was always packed, so I assumed it would be good. Unfortunately it wasn't. Traditional wings were very dry, even with sauce. It was extremely over-priced as well. A small scoop of cole slaw was almost 3$. The waitress was nice and restaurant was clean. But the main part of going- the food - was quite a let down.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
The food was mediocre just like the wait staff.. We received cold fries at our table, the wings which I assume they are known for were bland. The sauce choices were pretty good though. Hope they step us their game.

John R.

Yelp
First time.its still new but over 1 hour to get food is to long any time.wings were ok, burger was over cooked & cold.will give it a few weeks & try it again. Hope it gets better.

Remy D.

Yelp
Food was great and the service was very friendly. Busy place, but they managed very well. Loved the selection of sauces. They had a way more expansive menu than I expected, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Sammi V.

Yelp
This restaurant has proved too pricy for what it is. :/ Not my favorite, for sure, but if someone offered it to me I would turn my nose up. Lol

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Have to give this an Ok rating. I had the wings and 2 different sauces. It was ok wings nothing to write home about. I have had much better wings, but I would eat them again if people wanted to go so they weren't that bad. Hooters has better sauce for the wings however. The Fries are not the best in town for sure. Sitting behind Arby's doesn't help their cause any for great fries. We had the Pretzel Bites and its like buying at Krogers. For the Price you don't even get a sauce. Ended up paying 6.99 for the bites then .99 cents for Nacho Cheese. Compared to Fat Patty's which is half the price Wings don't hold a chance to their Pretzels and Beer Cheese for one price. However The hot dog looked great. It was huge and my son loved it. I would be interested in trying some of their burgers and wraps. all in all the food we had was OK priced a little high compared to other wing places i have been too for the quality. Staff was great. Like i said i would go back to try something other than wings but wouldn't go back for the wings. Much rather go to BW3, Hooters, Roosters, or Double Dogs. One added note don't get water unless that is what you really want.. They still charge you full price for a drink.

Melody M.

Yelp
We ordered out wings last Friday. The order was for 6 people. So, it was a lot of food. The order was given over the phone and repeated back by a woman. I was told that the order would take 45 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant 50 minutes later. Upon arriving I was told it would be an additional ten minute wait. When the food came out, I told the waiter what I had, and he said it was all there. I asked again and one of the meals was missing, another ten minute wait. When I was ready to pay, the computers went down, 20 minute wait. I told the waiter that my food was then cold, and the response I received was, "sorry about that" before he walked off. I was in the restaurant for 40 minutes waiting for a to go order. I brought my food home, and I found that I was missing two orders of fried mushrooms and fried cheese. I called the restaurant to fix the problem and spoke with Colton. He said that it wasn't their fault that whoever took the order didn't put that part into the computer. I told him that I wanted to order the food and would be back to pick it up. He said okay and hung up the phone. I called back to make sure that he had my name, and when he answered the phone he said, "I know your name, but I hope that you know it's going to be a two hour wait for your food to be ready because the computers went down and we are behind." Two hours! I told him never mind. Everything we ordered was cold and had to be reheated. The wings were gross. The jalapeño poppers had almost no cheese inside. The wrap we ordered had all the toppings that we asked for it to not have. We will not be back there for a very long time, if ever.
