Very Poor Experience – Unacceptable Manager Behavior
I had one of the worst customer service experiences at the location of Wingstop Cambridge Circus and it was entirely due to the restaurant manager name was SONIA. I ordered boneless wings, but they were clearly not coated properly with sauce. I calmly and politely mentioned this and asked if they could be remake. She came to me and saw. She said It's okay, I said not proper sauce. Please, make it again if possible. After,
Instead of handling the issue professionally, the manager(SONIA) became extremely rude. Her attitude was aggressive, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. I was shocked that someone in a management position would treat a customer this way over a simple food quality issue.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that the manager struggled to communicate properly in English. At one point, she spoke to another team member in a different language instead of addressing me clearly. Ironically, team member was there, he requested to SONIA go kitchen and remake again, but she denied him as well and after she left from me without any solution. Team member was there try to handle the situation and try to given good solutions. I believed that team member spoke much better English than the manager and was far more polite and professional. This made me seriously question how someone with such poor communication skills and rude attitudes are holding a manager position.
I felt disrespected, embarrassed, and uncomfortable. Mistakes with food can happen at a customer and refusing to communicate properly is unacceptable. Management should set an example, not create hostile situations.
Because of this experience, I have lost confidence in this location (Cambridge Circus) and will think not be returning. Wingstop UK really needs to review its management standards and customer service training.
