The location of the hotel is definitely a plus—peaceful and close to nature—and the room itself was decent, though it lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable in warm weather.
Unfortunately, the check-in experience was frustrating. The reception closes at 7 PM, which is not clearly communicated. When I arrived after that time, there were no instructions provided on how to get inside or where to find my room key. The entrance door required a code I never received. I had to knock repeatedly until another guest helped me get in. This kind of stress on arrival is unacceptable, especially at this price point.
Breakfast was also very disappointing. It was advertised as included, but what was provided was extremely minimal—definitely not up to the standard you’d expect for paying around CAD 500 per night. I even saw a guest bringing their own eggs and cream cheese, which says a lot about what was missing.
Overall, this hotel has potential with its location and quiet atmosphere, but the lack of proper communication, poor breakfast offering, and absence of basic amenities like air conditioning made the stay underwhelming.
