The food was definitely hotel-quality, prepared with such fine ingredients I’m not much of a drinker, but they had such an extensive wine list that it felt like a missed opportunity!😂 The vibe is stunningly antique and grand, and the live piano music really made the whole experience unforgettable 👍👍👍

Elegant and incredible service!! Our meal was wonderful and perfectly prepared. Our servers wine recommendation was spot on. Live entertainment. We truly enjoyed our meal!! They made a beautiful salad especially for me that wasn’t on the menu. Very personalized service!!

No doubt the atmosphere is great. Excellent service. The interior decoration is classic. I enjoyed the appetitser a lot more than the main, beef tartare was exceptional and scallops were very well cooked.

Tired of heavy Tuscan dishes? Want a more foodie experience with a lovely setting? This is your place. Although expensive, we did not find it to be any more so than other nice restaurants in Florence. The service was outstanding and the food was delightful. We dropped by without a reservation on a Monday night. We were underdressed as originally were going to a more casual place. The staff were welcoming and charming. A nice bottle of wine did add to our expenses but it was worth it. Everything we ate was beautifully prepared and delicious. If in Florence - splurge here!! We were serenaded by a lovely piano player - memorable evening.

It wasn’t too busy during lunchtime - the service was great and very helpful. While the food wash fresh and tasted great, the pasta may might not have been worth the steep price point. Overall I’d eat here again if budget wasn’t an issue and it was convenient.

I really had high expectations. This was my first visit to a michelin star restaurant. The servise was exaptional, part of the courses ware really good, but others felt not really as i hoped it will be. Bottom line - great restaurant, but i wouldn't recomend my friends to spent so much money for this experiance... There is much better experiences without paying so much

Lovely food and great service, eduardo was amazing, helped us pick the best cocktails to drink and gave us a great recommendation to the rooftop bar over the road. Will definitely be back.

Very nice deco, good service but the food just made me wonder how did the restaurant earn it's Michelin star. Had the degustation lunch set with wine - wine was good but the food was flat in flavour and presentation. Florence is a place with great food, this place simply doesn't live up to the standard and a slight disappointment for the price point.

The Winter Garden Bar located at the St Francis Hotel is an elegant bar with great service, delicious drinks that provides an amazing ambiance with live piano music to go with great drinks. This Hotel Bar has an evening ritual called Sabrage. This is a special technique to open a bottle of champagne. Its name comes from the French word sabré, which means saber, which was used for uncorking on ceremonial occasions. Nowadays, a large knife is used instead. This daily Evening Ritual takes place at the Winter Garden Bar accompanied by finger food and a glass of Franciacorta Antinori.

We absolutely wanted to love this place because the ambience, the service, the people, the piano playing, the chandelier... All magnificent. People were so incredibly friendly and inviting. A lovely place to go during Christmas time. Unfortunately, the pasta was very much so so. It was a bit on the cold side and did not taste fresh which is shocking. We had the pappadelle. Then there was their signature chicken dish, which is €54 and is a deconstructed chicken. We expected something substantial. And even though we're small eaters, we were kind of shocked with what we got, which was extremely small. The braze chicken was OK. The fried chicken was really good, but it was such a small little leg, it almost looked like a pigeon leg. Let's just say that I don't eat a lot of bread and I ate a lot of bread with their wonderful olive oil. The desserts that came after dinner were fabulous. This is definitely a place to go for drinks as opposed to dinner. I would definitely return there for cocktails. The Negroni was out of this world. But I would not go back for the food. Very surprising that they have a Michelin star....

The Michelin star status and beautiful setting at Winter Garden Restaurant really drew me in, so I make a lunch reservation there on my May trip to Florence. The restaurant looked stunning, our waiter was extremely courteous, and the food was amazing as well! I would definitely recommend it for special occasions. One of the reviews I saw mentioned about a 40 euro prefix lunch. It sounded like an exceptional deal, so I of course asked for that. Our waiter told us that it wasn't available but he checked with the chef and offered us a three-course meal. We had roasted octopus as a starter, lobster pasta as the second course, and finished with turbot fillet. Everything was delicious and the service was exceptional. My only surprise was the bill came out to be 100 euro per person and my husband ordered drinks, so the total came to be 270 euro for the lunch. Overall we had a great experience.

Service- TERRIBLE. Food- Terrible. Ambiance- Terrible. This is NOT Michelin. Do not waste your time here. Literally wowed at how bad this dinner was.

This hotel is in the no driving part of Florence do make sure you do your research prior to driving there. The restaurant is very elegant and worth visiting to see the exquisite design. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service was attentive! The food is well portioned!

We ate here while staying at the St. Regis for our honeymoon. We had been planning to go out but I wasn't feeling great so decided to eat at the hotel. When they learned we were on our honeymoon we were sat in a wonderful little nook that was very private. The service was perfect and the food exceptional. My wife can be pretty picky about what she eats, which normally limits our choices in Michelin star restaurants. Winter Garden had a much wider-ranging, though still small menu so both of us were happy. We opted for the wine tasting instead of a bottle and were thrilled with the choice. Danilo appeared to take as much pleasure in putting together a course of wines for our varying tastes as we did in drinking them. Overall it was a wonderful night of great ambiance, food, wine, and service. We will definitely return.

We have eaten in many Michelin restaurants in the U.S. and Italy, and Winter Garden was truly outstanding. The service was excellent. Valeria was gracious, knew and explained the dishes well, and made our evening very enjoyable. Danilo was helpful on the somm side, had a great sense of humor and chatted us up about some of their wines. They were very attentive and you could tell that everyone there cared very much about the experience you were having on all levels. Even the process for mixing my salad dressing at the table was elegant and elaborate. The place has a wow-factor when you walk in. Tall ceilings, gorgeously decorated, live piano player on a grand in the corner playing mostly standard numbers (loud enough to hear and enjoy, not too loud to prohibit conversations). Finally, the food was exquisite. We enjoyed every single dish. Each tasted fresh, complex, creative and delicious. The timing was perfect between courses as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an unforgettable meal in Florence.

No way this was a Michelin starred restaurant. It was forgetful, an attempt at complexity without delivering on flavor, with teeny weeny portions. I've been to Michelin starred restaurants, and have always felt the service was fun and attentive, and the food was so creative while delivering on flavor. The service here was great, the food was complex, but that doesn't mean it was creative nor flavorful. The risotto was far undercooked, the fish was rubbery. The sauces on every dish were bland. I was there less than a week ago and can't even remember the dishes. I still remember my meal at Gordon Ramsey in London from 10 years ago. Please tell me that I'm not supposed to be impressed by your technical skills only.

This is a 1 Michelin star restaurant, Tasting menu is fairly inexpensive 95 euros. Ambiance is nice and quite elegant as you would expect for a restaurant in the St. Regis. Wait staff is very attentive and speaks English very well. Sommelier Danilo was fantastic and paired my meal with a great glass of wine that paired perfectly with all the courses. Well except for dessert since my wine was all gone by then. They were able to customize my main entree in their tasting menu. Instead of fish I requested for lamb and the staff gladly obliged. Newly Michelin star awarded Chef Michele Griglio came out to greet us. I regret not taking a photo but hopefully there's a next time. They accept all credit cards, I used American Express. Awesome experience and great food. Highly recommended.

We had a reservation at 7:00pm and the restaurant only had one other seated table. By the time we finished 3.5 hours later, it never became busy. The food here was not great. My husband and I both had the tasting menu and neither of us were very satisfied with it. Though, the ambiance, decor, and wait staff/somm were fantastic! The somm went out of his way to make our experience memorable! For a Michelin rated restaurant, I expected more from the food. My husband and I also ordered 3 wines that the somm selected. We enjoyed his selection, his personality and his attentiveness! However, due to the food, I would pass this up in favor of Enoteca Pitti or La Giostra even though they have no Michelin stars.
