Winter Park Resort

We had the most amazing time skiing and snowboarding at Winter Park Resort in Colorado! This mountain offers many different types of terrain and something that the whole family can enjoy. Lift lines ran smoothly, all staff were friendly, and the mountain is kept in pristine condition.

Buses are free and some go like every 15 minutes some go every 30 . . .no matter what they are free to get you even all the way to Granby which is magical, just pay attention to the signs and look on their website for times.

Love this mountain! Great for all levels of skiing, our kids have enjoyed the lessons and now ski the whole mountain. There are multiple choices for on-mountain dining and to take a quick break. The bowl is a blast but can be very windy at the top!

Great place to ski and for kids to learn to ski. I recommend staying where you can ski in and ski out at the Zephyr mountain lodge, though we have stayed in town at the Sundowner Inn too. What is neat about staying in the heart of town is being about to walk around town for eating and shopping.

Favorite resort by far near Denver! Lots of great tree runs and difficult terrain to explore in Mary Jane and Eagle Wind. Plenty of beginner runs as well.

The happiness of everyone at the mountain is always awesome. From employees to patrons, it always seems to be smiles. Glad I live ten minutes away an get to slide down the mountain is such a happy place.

Winter Park is one of the best places to ski in Colorado

I used to be a season pass holder for over 20 years. This used to be an awesome resort until they joined ikon. Now they are overpriced and care about nothing more than the bottom line. Customer service is a joke with this company. Go support a locally owned resort(if you can find one) instead of going here. You’ll be happier than wasting hundreds of dollars here.

Great ski mountain on the smaller side, not as many trail options as other mountains but lots of variety. Big difference between green/blues and blue/blacks and blacks.

After almost 20 years of going to the Epic Pass mountains we made the switch to Ikon this season and are so glad we did because we get to ski at Winter Park. It's crazy to me that we haven't been here more, and getting the chance to explore the mountain we have found some amazing terrain and have overall really enjoyed our experience at the ski area. Yes, the lift lines are long on weekends, yes, the parking situation is a little rough, but it's a ski area in Colorado so it's to be expected. You definitely have to get here early to get free parking but the shuttle situation is decent (not great, if you miss the shuttle it's a LONG wait for the next one) or you can pay up to $50 to park in a closer paid lot if you choose to. The skiing itself is great, the terrain is varied especially if you include Mary Jane in your day and presents something for everyone. The food options are limited but the food at the base itself is actually really good and reasonably, by ski area standards, priced. We will definitely be back a lot as I have found a new appreciation for the City of Denver-owned staple of Colorado skiing!

Came here with a large group to go skiing. It was a very busy day at the park and while lift lines were very long, the slopes didn't feel overly crowded once you were going down. Things were overall well organized and run throughout the park. They have plenty of options for food and beverages. They have everything you need to purchase or rent for equipment. Parking was a nightmare and $50+. The lifts are also only open until 4:00 pm, which is a bummer considering how much everything costs.

A great fun ski resort with very friendly staffs and mostly nice people. We had a great time on the mountain for the last few days. This is my first year switching from Epic pass to Ikon and the lodges and staffs are better. Even the meals seem to be better value. The only reason I took away a star is that there are many chairs that have not opened yet. We are only able to ski the right side or Mary Jane. I guess that also means that we have a reason to come back in the future?

Besides the Folks ( you know the Darwin Award recipients) that decide to go out of bounds on skis and skimobiles and inevitably run in Avalanches Winter Park Resort is a hoot. Great powder easy to get to from Denver. Fantastic array of slopes for any skill level. This time we snowshoed on the Jim Creek Trail which is a great 5 mile in and out trek. It is gorgeous and if you like snowshoeing this one is fun. Yeah it aint a killer like Butler Gulch but very pleasant. Parking lots are good.

Congrats, you have to be rich to snowboard now! $250 for a lift ticket?? I'm 25 what the f is wrong with this world man :( actually so sad

The whole point in winter park is to get to the slopes and play! Beautiful, clean and family friendly!

We didn't stay at the resort so I can't speak to that part. Only the skiing, transportation, and the Village. I haven't skied here in a long time. Came for Spring Break with the family.I had an opportunity to ski alone while my wife and son were taking a lesson. I almost forgot how fun it is. The runs were well maintained and the staff at the ski lifts were nice. The view was incredible. It snowed a lot on our second day so we got some fresh powder. Very nice. Unfortunately, it also got colder and our son didn't like it. It was his first time in the snow so he wasn't used to it. Naturally that cut our ski time but it was fun while it lasted. Next time he'll enjoy it more. But it wasn't all bad. The Village is a fun place to hang out with all the stores and food and drink options around. I also liked the efficiency of the shuttle system that took us to and from the parking lot. And since Winter Park is the main attraction in the area all or most bus lines lead to the resort. The Coca Cola Tubing is also located here.

My FAVORITE ski resort. Long runs and a good variety of them too!! Great ski school and plenty of greens for newbie skiers to enjoy as well as ADA certified program. Close to Denver metro and unpretentious!! If you complain about poor shopping and lack of restaurants, then you're not a serious skier. Shopping and terrific restaurants can be found in town down the road but not at the base. AND THATS OKAY!! MaryJane is the bomb for great skiing and fun! I come every year!!

Mike was absolutely incredible and so welcoming while working our Slide Thru Sessions event. His energy was electric and he was a part of the celebration. He added to the experience and I hope to have him again if we book an event with Winter Park in the future. Mike, your kindness means more than you know THANK YOU!

Under rated condos, under rated resort. Tucked away but close enough to Denver. 5 stars all around -- will return

Went skiing here two days this year 2024. We had a nice time. The first day was a Thursday and it was great. No lines, good snow, and lots of fun. The second day was a Saturday. Unfortunately it was really crowded and windy. Because of the wind the top lifts were closed which I forced the crowds of people to all ski the bottom lifts. That is what you get for going on a Saturday. I still had a great time. It is a nice mountain with a lot of good runs.

The first time I was here was five years ago. I wasn't able to ski because I was pregnant. This time I was able to ski. It was lots of fun. I took a lesson to refresh my memory because it had been several years since I last skied. I basically had a private lesson because the other person taking the class with me had to leave early. Overall, I liked my instructor. I think he did a good job. He took me to Discovery Park. It is a great spot for beginners. After that I was good to go. The Village is also lots of fun. There are several shops and restaurant. There is even a nice playground for the kids.

There appears to be no sanitation standards in Winter Park. It's a beautiful resort with amazing potential. I actually wanted to like it more than Aspen, but it's dirty! I tried to contact the health inspector for Winter Park but there isn't one. No wonder why it's so dirty. I would still encourage you to visit, just Olán in getting sick. Exceptionally disappointed with our experience and with Winter Park overall.

Under-rated...it has lots of excellent terrain and steady / reliable amount of snow. It is a merger of Winter Park & Mary Jane; the MJ area has the biggest terrain. For a day trip, this is one of our favorites. On the MJ side, Super Gauge, Panoramic & Eagle Wind have plenty of great tree & bowl skiing. On the WP side, Explorer has moguls and Olympia is a great blue run zone to catch early powder when everyone else is charging MJ. Parking is a challenge. Arrive early enough to get a space in the Utah lot at MJ base. Otherwise pay and walk at WP.

A return trip to Winter Park after an amazing first time (2 seasons ago) did not disappoint!!! My friends and I spent 5 days there the second week of February. Like everywhere else on the West coast and the Rockies, WP had not received a ton of snow but the condition was better than what the numbers had indicated. I was pleasantly surprised! It snowed twice while we were there and it didn't disappoint!! The tree runs in the Parsenn Bowl and the Eagle Wind area were SO much fun. I couldn't stop smiling :D Once again, the view from the top of the Pano chair was amazing and Eagle Wind continues to be my favorite area on the mountain. I do wish they would upgrade the Eagle Wind chair, but I don't even really mind the old school, slow chair. It adds to the experience! Already thinking about going back... I've skied all top 10 ski resorts in North America (and most of top 10-20) and I only make return trips to mountains I love, so for me to make a 2nd, 3rd trip, that means the mountain is awesome!! Winter Park, I love you.

Weekday price was $200 for a day pass and that's absolutely outrageous. I highly recommend planning your trip way in advance and find discounted prices online because it's ridiculous!!!

I came up here on a group snowboarding trip. I've never been to Winter Park before. I have the Ikon pass, and this is one of the places on the pass, so I definitely wanted to check it out. I thought the scenery was so beautiful! I boarded two days. The first day (Friday) was overcast and snowing, so conditions weren't great. We arrived around 10:30 am and all of the free lots were full. We ended up in the Vintage lot which is $10 M-F ($20 on Saturday and Sunday) over by the Cabriolet. It was really easy to pay at the pay station with license place number and ride the Cabriolet in to the village. They no longer print paper maps, so you have to download their app to get a map. Or you can use the Ikon app. But my phone service was not working great, so I didn't have a map for half of the day. Just kind of had to wing it, which can be fun. But I didn't know what trails to take to really explore the mountain. Also, I was by myself as one friend was working and the other was picking people up from the airport. The village itself is quaint and nice with some shopping, bars, and coffee. I started out at the Starbucks and for my first run, I rode the gondola up. I used the singles line and it was pretty quick. It was very crowded at the top of the gondola. The snow was okay, pretty bumpy and tracked out by 11:30 when I got out there. I went down a few times and explored a couple more lifts. Some where really busy with long lines. By 2pm our beginner friends arrived and we spent the rest of the day on the free Galloping Goose lift that gives access to two beginner green hills. This was great, as our friends wanted to get some beginner runs in and didn't have to pay for a lift pass. On day two I was able to board with a friend that knew the mountain. And the conditions were great in the morning (Saturday). It was a blue bird day, and got out on the slopes at 8:30am. By midday it was getting pretty packed and the snow getting really tracked out and very bumpy in most places. This mountain is known for the mogul runs, which we tended to stay away from as they are not super fun on a snowboard. Lots of fun tree trails, and we even went out to one of the hidden huts in the trees (I heard there are around 50 of these huts). We had to hike up a trail off of Roundhouse and board through the trees to find it. So cool! We stopped towards the end of the day at one of the Waffle Cabins near the bottom of the Olympia Lift. That place is so good! Hot, fresh, soft waffles are the best! We ended the day on a couple of runs on the Hughs and Norwegian trails, which are very steep and icy. I don't recommend these trails. On our way back to our friend's cabin, we stopped in at Vicious Cycle Brewing in Fraser. It's right next to the Bank of the West. You can't find it on google maps. But it was great for apres ski! See my review for Vicious Cycle! Overall, Winter Park was great. It gets really packed and parking can be an issue on the weekends. The snow gets bumpy and tracked out due to high volumes of people. The lift lines can get long, longest wait for us was about 20 minutes. These are the things that don't make it 5 stars for me.

The mountain is ok but the staff is rude and doesn't seem to care about anything other than standing around doing nothing. Beware of lift lines that look short but take forever while the lift attendants stand around listening to their AirPods , not helping with line organization and not filling up chairs. Also beware of unmarked rocks! I've never seen so many ski patrol on a mountain yet again, I saw lots of standing around. Meanwhile there were some serious rocks in the middle of the trail that should have been marked with poles. So dangerous!! I'm blown away by the lack of care this staff shows. I used to love this resort but after a handful of iffy experiences here over the last year I don't think this resort deserves more than two stars but I gave it 3 for old times sake.

Friendly and generally plentiful staff, a rarity these days. On a couple of runs when kids wiped out, park staff happened to be nearby to assist. Great for our family with varied terrain. Apres at Sunspot was great after several full days of ski. They were at full capacity and the manager kindly opened a closed side of the lodge to accommodate us at a table with a view. During the week for spring break we've found it busy but not over crowded. There are strategies to make the logistics easier. For instance, paying for rentals from the resort, that allows you to check it at the end of the day at base makes things easier than lugging equipment for a family. Drop stuff, switch shoes, and linger in resort of just blast away with ease. The surrounding communities also make this a destination for us with other things to do.

This resort has serious issues that only get worse as the crowds get larger... 1. Not enough high-speed lifts 2. Explorer & Prospector lifts ALWAYS break down... the 2 busiest lifts, they are too slow to service the number of people on a holiday weekend and the simply break every time we are there (several times a year). They will go down for 1 hour or more usually. Leaving hundreds of people there. 3. Lunch Rock is at least 50% too small to seat the needed number of people 4. Lunch Rock is ran by idiots, literally a. in/out lines to order, get, pay for food are all in the exact same spot. b. they make you wait in 3 separate (LONG 15-20 min each) lines to get a specific thing... like you cannot get pizza and mac-n-cheese / soup / chili and fries in the same line.. its 3 different lines! c. they could EASILY rearrange the cashier placement and the lines coming in to fix A & B at the same time. Clearly they are just not smart enough.

$600 a night, no parking not even for resort rentals, 200 a day lift ticket for 60 min lift lines. Pure corporate trash.

This is a great location. I love this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this ski resort.

Beautiful place, pricey but expect for a ski resort. The girl at the ticket counter for the activities didn't seem to want to be there but it was at the end of their day and about to close. We just got there and had a few questions and she seemed bothered but other than lots of cute shops and restaurants if you didn't want to leave the area and drive into town.

I had the best time here with my friends! I am a beginner skier and decided to take a full day lesson. I chose the adult small group and we had 5 people total. It was a great experience. My instructor was very knowledgeable and I was put into a group with people at a similar level. The next two days I skied on my own and felt comfortable on my own. You have several options for parking starting at $5 at the entrance where the shuttle takes you down and $30 per day to park in the garage. One of my favorites parts were the hosts all over the resort and on the mountain. They are super friendly and knowledgeable.

It was fun! I haven't been in four years! We would go here for family reunions to ride the alpine slide. They have the gondola which is a few years new. Unfortunately, you have buy the day pass for the alpine slide and you can't just buy tickets specifically for that attraction anymore. Since I wanted to go on the gondola, I think I got a better deal buying the day pass anyways but it's weird there is no option to just purchase a ticket to the alpine slide anymore. I rode the slide twice and would've gone a third time but wanted to ride the gondola. The view was amazing going up the gondola and the top. I sat there for a while. I then ate at Goody's which has crepes and different food, including ice cream. They were good. it did take a while to get my wrist band even though I bought tickets in advance. I'm guessing they were short staff. However, the wrist band wouldn't scan because I bought the tickets the night before. But the weird thing is I don't remember an option to pick a date on the website so I assumed it would still be okay. Kind of confusing since there is pricing to order 48 hours in advance but didn't see where you can pick a date to go. Maybe I missed it. Thankfully, they resold the ticket and changed it to the day I was there and the guy told me it happens a lot. So at least they still honored it. But it seems like you need to purchase tickets the day you plan to go to winter park resort. It also looks like they don't have a photo booth to buy pictures on the alpine slide. It was a fun time overall. I hope they change it where you can purchase tickets for the alpine slide only in the future and to have more clarity with purchasing tickets onlinez

The first time I came here to Winter Park I was skiing Black Diamond Hills (expert runs) in Wisconsin at the world renown ski areas like Wilmot & Alpine Valley (lol what a joke). My buddy & I thought we were studs. So my buddy & I came out west and decided to hit a black diamond run @ Winter Park. At the top the run started w/a nice gentle drop, easy peasy. We were so cocky we were like this is a Black Diamond hill? Part way down the mountain we approached a sign in the middle of the run w/a black diamond, WTF? As we approached the sign it was like where was the bottom of this run? As we edged closer to the sign we stopped & realized uhhh maybe we bit off more then we could handle. The run dropped off at about a 60 degree pitch w/moguls waist high. I looked at my buddy and he looked at me an we decided that maybe we weren't such hot shots after all & decided we didn't want to end up in the hospital trying to do this our first run. Since we were going to be there for a week we both chickened out, took off our skis and crossed over to a run more suited to our level of skiing (Black Diamond Hills from the Midwest). Skiing at Winter Park was like no other experience I ever had up until this time. I had to really learn how to control my ability to slalom & carve the turns down the mountainside as the pitch length & vertical drop was like nothing I had ever skied in the Midwest. Once you go west to Colorado you can never go back to the bunny hills of the Midwest. I loved Winter Park so much we went back a couple of years after the first time, but this time they opened up the back portion of the mountain known as Mary Jane. When Mary Jane opened, they added 18 new trails (350 acres) and increasing the size of Winter Park Resort by 80%. I remember one time it was near the end of the day & I was skiing the back area by Mary Jane coming back through the trails between the trees. I fell & ended up in a tree well by the base of the tree in snow chest deep. It was late in the day & there was no one else around. As I tried to pull myself out of the tree well I grabbed onto a small branch but the branch was too small & it snapped off. After several attempts w/the same result of each tree branch snapping off I was getting a little panicked as there weren't any other people around & it was nearing the end of the day. Well I was finally able to pull myself out & get back to the ski lodge. Winter Park has been around for 80 years & was recently voted as North America's No 1 resort. Winter park is truly a world class ski resort & is a must if you're a skier.

Very fun time skiing here last week. We had a cloudy day that turned into beautiful skies. The snow was a bit firm but it softened up nicely. They have a huge area so stay careful about where you are. Sticking to the gondola was our plan. You can park across the village for cheaper rates. I had the Lentil vege burger for lunch, with a side of fries and an Aspen Brewing Co Independence Pass Ipa. Great tasting food, with lots of toppings for the burger.

What a friendly well-run place! The lift people are all so nice and cheery. They have a fair amount of easy, groomed runs (greens and blues) and then the Mary Jane side is mostly ungroomed blue/black moguls. I do wish they had some groomed blacks since moguls get exhausting but perhaps those were in area not yet open that I didn't get to ski. Overall a fun place with a cute town. The shuttle system from the free parking lots are awesome and so convenient. There are also hourly shuttles into the town. Nonetheless, either have to get there by 9/930 to get parking or after noon once people have left.

Winter Park is a great spot to ski! My favorite part about this mountain is that there is a lot of beginner tree terrain. Skiing in the trees definitely freaks me out, so it's awesome to know that you can try it out a little without there being such an intense commitment. There also is a good amount of beginner terrain that are marked green but they're even easier that that. They have a Discovery Park served by a few lifts so that newbies can stay out of the way of skiers who are going faster. This was a great place to teach my boyfriend how to ski! The only thing I would like to see fixed is more maps! Sure, the lifts show what type of terrain is available from each lift, but it would be nice to see a map of the runs at the base of the lifts.

Winter Park skiing is maybe 10 out of 10. There is a wide variety of terrain all over the resort to keep most skill levels entertained. The lift fleet is efficient and in good shape. The resort is not that crowded for a big time ikon destination. I much prefer WP to more well known Colorado destinations that are more crowded. For pure skiing, WP is hard to beat. My only complaint in that department is that there are a few flats that are unavoidable from a navigation standpoint that require some poling. Not a ton, but worth mentioning. Another huge advantage for Winter Park is that it is accessable from Denver without venturing to the tunnels on i-70 and all the mess that sometimes brings! What keeps WP from 5 stars for me is also what helps make the skiing so good. The area is not super built up and on busy times there is somewhat of a lack of restaurant variety and availability. There is a little less to do once the lifts close than other destination resorts. We came to ski, so no problems, but thought it worth mentioning. If 4.5 stars were an option, I'd pick that. Overall, Winter Park is a great place to ski for all levels of ski ability. I would be happy there with just the guys or with kids and family. There's something for everyone, from a terrain perspective.

I've heard that during peak season the lifts gets so busy and the rental lines are a pain but I went in the middle of January and there was barely anybody in the slopes. The weather was amazing, lifts were safe and the views are out of this world. So, I've only skied once before. For beginners out there, I don't recommend Coming here. I only felt confident skiing in the green "easy" slopes (about 10% of the mountain) and even those were hard for me. if you're an experienced skier and feel Comfortable with mid level slopes, then you'll def enjoy this place. COST: $$$ SERVICE: A AMBIANCE: A+++

Beautiful resort with plenty of activities to safely do, even during this pandemic! I visited for a ride on the gondola and hiking at the top of the mountain on a Saturday morning in August. Though I didn't purchase a gondola ticket in advance online, I was able to purchase on site for $29, no problem. These tickets are available in person or online (48 hours in advance) and tickets for bike riding are online only. They have plenty of signage reminding people to wear masks and distance, and all staff wore masks as well. At all entrances to restaurants, restrooms, etc, there is signage regarding masks and floor decals to keep people separated. They were limiting people on the gondola to 1-2 per ride (unless part of a family) as well. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. I did the lower roof of the Rockies hike and the trail was well-maintained and there was a lot of signage directing you where to go. There was barely anyone on the trail so it was a relaxing sunny day. The fantasy meadow didn't have as many blooms as a spot about halfway through the hike, but was still very pretty.

Due to the coronavirus you have to pre buy trestle downhill mountain biking tickets and we did not know it would rain for two days straight while we were there. I asked the person at the ticket counter if we could get a rain check or anything, she asked her manager to come over to talk to me and she was very rude to start. I bought tickets for myself and my 3 boys and we got to go down the mountain once, then hard rain and flooding throughout the trails commenced. All I asked for was either a rain check or even a half day ticket the next day. She said they have a very strict policy for rain checks- they can only refund at the time of severe lightning and the lift/ gondola has to be stopped for 70 minutes or more. I used to like this place, not anymore

My son and I spent a day here in the summer enjoying the alpine slide, mountain bike courses, and more. It was so much fun, and the staff was very helpful. Whether it was the staff that helped us choose which passes to buy, or our instructor (Bruce) who helped our 9 year old learn to mountain bike for the first time; everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The resort is under a lot of construction and improvements, but I think it was still laid out and easy to find our way around. The rental equipment was name brand and in good condition. We didn't stay the night here, but parking was free and we had no problem finding our way around. If I had one complaint it was the price of the food.. 23 bucks bought two hot dogs and two small Gatorades. I felt it was a little heavy for what we got to eat. Besides that, the prices for lift tickets and instruction were fair. We will definitely be back again!

WHAT A TRIP Went out here for a weekend of Mt. Biking by myself. EVERYONE was super nice and helpful. I could go on and on and on about how much fun i had. Cant wait to get back there to do it again. Only pic i took was of the smoke int he sky from a forest fire out west.

It may not be the closest resort to Boulder but my friends and I think it's the most fun. While we often miss the exit from I-70, we've been doing well for ourselves the past few ski trips. There is free parking at Mary Jane if you arrive early enough. Otherwise there is $10 parking just down the road which has a gondola type contraption that brings you directly to Center Village. We actually like this parking lot for multiple reasons, one being that there's a large and clean bathroom at the nearby hotel. There is truly skiing for everyone on this mountain. Double black diamonds to greens aplenty. Tame tree runs are also available and fun to take from time to time. There are many places to stop and enjoy a bite to eat both on top of the mountain (Waffle Cabin is a good one) as well as down below. If you prefer to brown bag it be sure to mind the signage. Some areas are for non bag lunchers only. Don't count the ski season over for 2019 either. This last storm just brought a heap more snow to play in! Oh and if you have an Ikon pass be sure to flash it! Chances are you'll save some money off of your meal.

Winter Park was my very first Colorado mountain experience and I thought it was the most amazing thing on earth. Being from Ohio, I had never seen anything like it! Since moving here, I've ventured to many resorts and although I do really like winter park, it's unfortunately built more for skiers. The cat walks, the slow narrow paths that take you between lifts or the excruciating long journey back to base when you venture far in. It's rough on snowboarders, you need to know when to try and carry your speed and even then it's sometimes not enough. I do like that it's not on the I-70 corridor, I'm usually lucky and end up hitting no traffic and it's a beautiful drive!

I love WPR! Great hills. I love the blues and blacks here, but there are also plenty of nice greens. In fact, you can go to the very very top of the mountain and take a green down the whole way (45 min run). My mom loves that. Excellent food. Love the waffles you can grab here real quick.

Super fun summer activities! We stayed in the heart of the village and the family enjoyed the gondola, the sunset happy hour & the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend during the summer months.

We had a great week at WinterPark, with a good amount of new snow just in time for our week of skiing. Very good facility with friendly and helpful staff. Nice variety of terrain for all levels. Not unique to WinterPark, lift tickets have gotten very expensive. Result of that is we will only be doing one ski trip per year where we used to do three or four. Some of our friends quit skiing due to escalating costs. Just the state of things. Look into IKON pass details, we determined after the fact that we could have saved cost on lift tickets even with only 4 days of skiing with our group of 6. The roads in and out can be icy and snow covered so carry chains and/or have good snow tires. Our rental 4WD SUV had tires that were useless on snow and ice so we were one of the few vehicles with chains on. We saw several small SUV with Colorado plates off the road and spun out, so as usual even a few over-confident locals have trouble in slippery conditions. Very heavy traffic on some of the roads after about 8:00am so head out early but use caution.

Mary Jane is the most spectacular place on earth .... moguls .... tree runs... lots of lifts...friendly people... Powder... it has everything... I even created 3 of my very trails at Mary Jane ....all 3 in the trees: Five Gulches, High Low and Low High..... stop me and I'll show you...

The lift broke down for hours and all they have is was a $5 coupon!!!!! I'll never return to this Scam or a resort

I've only snowboarded out west (i'm from Chicago) 2 times, and Winter Park offered everything i was looking for. The value of the resort was astounding- some of that was due to the time i went which was after the holidays, tuesday to thursday. The after ski bar scene was a bit low, however, i wasn't there on the weekend, i'm sure it's hoppin'. I'm pretty sure you can find whatever level of excitement you want depending on when you get there. The room was great, we stayed in the Zephyr Slopeside and it came with a fireplace, balcony, kitchenette and plenty of space. I could have easily spent the whole week there... and it was one of the cheaper options taboot. My GF doesn't ski or board, but loved it as well, as the new 10 person gondola they just built could enable her to meet me up the mountain for drinks/lunch etc via a gondola pass. The staff was friendly, and the free shuttle into town was a big plus. The town of Winter Park was cozy and has everything you need. I especially recommend the Hideaway Brewery and Deno's. The mountain itself is immense and i explored almost all of it. Well groomed and with a myriad of lifts to get you wherever you want to go. You can even go to the very top and get down a blue if you want to check it out. The base village has plenty of shopping, bars, food, gear etc. They also have several events to keep you going. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was the hours. Nothing has open hours posted, so it was hard to tell what was open and when. Some of the bars we went into were closing down around 5, but i'm sure if you go at a busier time, they stay open longer. tl;dr: Solid resort option in the rockies, not far from Denver and has many options to keep you occupied.

One of my favorite mountains close to Denver. Skiing has been great! Free parking fills up fast so I recommend arriving early. Reservations and masks are required. Shops and dining you can pursue, unfortunately, there is no eating or drinking inside. On a cold day, you may want to think about the possibility that bathrooms and indoor spaces will be limited to the number of people so not much room to linger or warm-up.

I love this park.. I actually prefer it over Copper. Make your reservations and carpool. Go during the week to avoid the traffic jams.

Avoid renting at the resort at ALL COSTs. Website to book is amazingly confusing and you will make a mistake, 100% guaranteed. Waited in line over 1hr, even had a line attendant confirm we were in the correct line with the correct papers, when we got to the actual point if contact, surprise! No paperwork on file, new line, late to stupid expensive lessons. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Spent the day with three small children ages 6-4-3 the park is wonderful even in the summer but, visitors BEWARE there is a BULLY lurking around where the small children play. I took a picture will post so you can be on the look out for it!! She screamed at our children accusing them of breaking in line in front of her teenager? When actually the small children were to ride a different ride because of their weight! The BULLY was told that but refused to stop screaming at our toddlers! It was the worst display of a adult I have even seen!! Everyone that saw this monster yelling was trying to shut her up but she refused she enjoyed bullying small Children she was finally removed by the staff! I want to post her picture so if you see this monster you've been warned!!!
