We spent the day in Winston-Salem exploring. Stumbled upon this brewing company by chance. There was a live band and the most adorable Thomas school bus on the property run by a family that sells vintage fashion. So cute! We hung out for a little bit. My husband had a drink & we really enjoyed our time here. There were food trucks including pizza & some Caribbean food. Awesome atmosphere. Enjoy! Josephine Local Guide

I’ve been here a couple of times for therapy meetups and always love their drinks. The venue is really nice and is spacious. Drinks are delicious. I’ve tried the matcha honey, blueberry muffin, and strawberry latte. Staff are polite and efficient, getting orders out quickly. Recommend 5/5 stars and would totally come back!

Google
Since it opened, Wise Man Brewing has been spot on with craft beers - great variety for most all tastes, also serving slushies, wines & limited liquor selection. Whether you’re looking for a hang out, music, meet up fun & games - something is going on each month if not every week at The Wise Man. There is seating in the sun - parking lot side, or shade behind the bar. One or more food trucks are scheduled there to quench your desire for solid tasty food. Sam the brewer is a Chemist by trade & masterful brewmaster. ADA compliant - wheelchair accessible.

Google
I went on a Tuesday night and this place was hoppin'! A lively spot with very tasty beers. It's also in a cool building and in a good location. If you're in Winston-Salem, drop in and have a pint (or a few).

Chris Callow

Google
Great taproom with multiple beers on tap. Looks like there's usually a food truck there as well.

Google
Went Here For the First Time a couple weeks ago my son and I were out riding our motorcycles. We stopped in had a a few of their craft beers and really enjoyed them. Definitely going back to atmosphere and service was great the guys behind the bars know a lot about the different types of beers they have. If you like craft beers this is one you should go to.

Google
Great beers. My favorite beers are feeling freaky, and body electric is quite well as well. Great place to bring family and dogs. Plenty of parking close. They had live music on Wednesday night. Great view of city as well.

*********************************** Review during the covid pandemic: Wise Man Brewing is located in a very nice area in Winston Salem NC. They have ample parking space available for customers which is very good. The beer options they have is pretty nice and the quality of most of their beers is good. They are smooth. They have various options like wheat beer, IPAs, stout, etc. Some of them up to the mark. The prices are fair as well and the bartenders were pretty friendly and welcoming and quick in service. The place was very clean and well maintained. ***********************************

Yelp
Exploring the area and saw this brewery was open. We stopped in. The guys at the counter asked us what we like I like sours my husband likes boozy IPAs and stouts. So they created flights with our preferences in mind. All mind were spot on. Sense of Ease was by far my favorite. My husband liked all of his I don't think he had a clear favorite. While we were there. Outside had a food truck, we didn't check it out have no idea what the menu was like but inside there was a live DJ playing music from records and taking requests. So the music was all over the place genre wise but if you enjoy music it definitely was a vibe. Since this will be close to our new home we will definitely come back maybe for one of their upcoming summer events.

Yelp
Wise Man was having a night market, which was such a cool idea! You could grab a drink from the bar and walk around the parking lot looking at different local vendors and their unique products. Pros: They had a lot of options for beer, seltzers, and pre-made cocktails for everyone to choose from. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the bartender was very patient while he let me try what I might like before I order it! They also had a lot of games for their customers to borrow! Cons: Their food truck said they were there until 10, but they closed at 9 and they didn't have any other food to offer. Would I go back? Yes, but I'd make sure I ate before! It's a great place to go with a group of friends

Yelp
This has become one of our fav monthly beer stops mainly because they have a great chill vibe, friendly staff, they always have tasty food trucks, but their Wise Vibes is by far my fav THC drink. Support local!
google avatar

Yelp
Wise Man is my go-to. The ambiance is great with the events, music and trivia. Scoop Dogg is my favorite beer but love flights so I can try more. The staff is excellent! The food truck selected are on point.
google avatar

Ray G.

Yelp
Great brews! Great music! And a food truck. The staff is extremely friendly. They have a wide variety of beers for all tastes.
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
Wise Man is always a great time. They do not have food onsite, however there is almost always a food truck set up there. The bartenders have always been friendly and efficient. I've been here when it's very busy and never had to wait very long to gety drinks. This is a very laid back atmosphere, great for hanging out with friends and having a good time. If you have a well behaved canine companion you can bring them as well. All in all a nice spot to grab a beer and hang with friends.
google avatar

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
The service was friendly and solid. The music was way way too loud. I love a trumpet but perhaps in a softer tone. I couldn't hear the person next to me except during breaks. The martini was good. Not the best I've ever had but solid.
google avatar

Ana H.

Yelp
They are the perfect spot for date night, the attention is always good, and the food trucks they have are the best. The beers are really good and if you're not into beers they have other options.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and ambience! I visited on a Sunday afternoon and they had a constant rotation of fresh tunes from an assortment of vinyls. Speaking of vinyls, there was a guest vendor with an outstanding vinyl catalogue--shoutout to @VillageVinyl.NC! It was perfection enjoying their German Pilsner while taking in the excitement of a first-time vinyl. For me, a new collection is born. They also bring in food trucks, and plenty of seating inside and outside. Love it!

Yelp
Wise Man is just my favorite. Great beer and even better staff. I love all the homies at WM. I have an entire group of friends that call ourselves "music bingo babes" because our group hangs started on Thursday's Wise Man music bingo nights. WM has a special place in my heart. They also do open mic night which my husband Chris Love likes to occasionally participate in. I also hear they do coffee now - which I haven't tried but need to asap :)

Yelp
Mom & I stopped in for a beer while we waited for the doors to open at The Ramkat. Nice place, great craft brewery, delicious beer, clean restrooms, and a friendly staff. They also have food trucks out there on a regular basis. Dog friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Always a good time here. A busy hopping crowd and this Friday night there was music by Danny Dockery band w guest sit-in artist the talented Doug Davis a local favorite producer and musician. Although it was crowded we managed to get our drinks from the bar quickly and find a table. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about their multitude of craft beers that this establishment is known for. They also have a list of wines that are very good, I tried the prosecco a little more expensive at $7.00 as opposed to the excellent beers they have on tap but when you go to a beer place and ask for wine...what do you expect lol. They also have some nice ciders as well. Check out this place on the weekends, they always have a food truck and usually music and lotsa friendly people to meet. Cheers!

Yelp
One thing for sure, Wiseman has a large selection of beers, and several tasty ones. This Brewery is usually always popping and draws a large crowd. Live music is usually going. If you want to go for a night of drinking downtown, and don't mind heavier crowds, definitely check Wiseman out!

Honorah A.

Yelp
We always have a good time at Wiseman. The staff is alway friendly and it's alway clean. I do not always drink alcohol. I appreciate that they have a good selection of alternative beverage. I'm not much of a music person but music bingo on Thursday's was surprisingly fun.
google avatar

Yelp
If your into sour beers the "tropical shirts" is really good. Lower ABV (4.2%) but a benchmark for fruited sours. Taco truck parked out back (taqueria lucianos) is really good so thats a plus after a couple beers. Open floor plan inside makes it seem much bigger and inviting. Excellent outdoor seating with umbrellas.
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
Live music, good beer, what else do you need! The rotation of the taps is beyond compare. Always good customer service as well. Plenty of parking as well. Beer was delicious!
google avatar

Deedrah B.

Yelp
Love this spot. I don't really drink beer but they have a decent wine selection and their frozen drinks are delicious. The strawberry frose and the lemon drop never disappoint. They have food trucks every night and host a lot of local events/clubs (vinyl night, run/book/bike/yoga etc). I love coming here to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or catch up up on some reading.
google avatar

Morena G.

Yelp
One of my fave breweries/ bars in Winston. I like the outdoor seating and the cool vibe. The indoors is spacious, you have an option to order food from Earl's and /or purchase food from food truck. They have some cool stuff for sale there too. Pets are also welcome.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Love that they invite local vendors and have food trucks and other events frequently! It really helps bring the community together! We went for their fall festival and were able to get a special pup cup for our dog from one of the vendors. Inside they were very welcoming to our dog and brought him treats which he enjoyed. They had a good selection of unique beers and I was able to try a pumpkin spice beer!
google avatar

Zac K.

Yelp
Recently visited during their fall festival and love that they are always opening up the space for events and vendors. Inside the beer selection was extensive and had tons of unique choices. I opted for their house cider and it was a quality option that I would definitely go back to. We also were able to bring our dog and all the staff were very welcoming even going as far to bring him a treat. Loved their dedication to taking care of us and him. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
If you are looking for a cool hang out in Winston-Salem that has a huge variety of beer, look no further! Wiseman brewing is excellent! I love and IPAs there, but they also have some neat collaborations and one off beers that you won't find anywhere else! I visited Wiseman a few days ago for the Krispy Kreme beer collaboration. I was so excited to find that music bingo was also happening that night!! Music bingo is my very favorite thing! If you have not tried it out you are missing out! This particular music bingo was different than the usual events I attend. Each game allowed for multiple winners, and when I say multiple I mean 20 or 30! I think everyone playing won! And best of all, the winnings were a free beer! Can't argue with that! I will definitely be back again for both the excellent beers and the music bingo!
google avatar

Julio G.

Yelp
Wiseman's is always such a nice spot to come and hang out with friends! I come here at least once a week and have some great beers while listening to the live music that usually goes on during weekend days! Not to mention that we usually stop by for music bingo on Thursday nights that is always a great time! The beers are always delicious and cold! Right now they have a great selection of sours. The servers are always great and are willing to give you a taste of beer if you'd like to try something before hand! Come check this place out, you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Continuing with more craft beer adventures... Conceited Genius 2.0 was the one beer we had from Wise Man Brewing. This beer is a New England IPA that Steve and I enjoyed quite a bit. At this point I've had a lot of New England IPA's but this was one of the better ones from the string of them that we have had the last few years. So this beer is definitely something to try out if you enjoy New England IPA's!
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
Came here during Oktoberfest and LOVED IT! The ambiance and space is great for large groups and there is usually a great food truck onsite to get some snacks. Their beer selection provides something for everyone but I love all of their New England IPAs. Super juicy and refreshing and always fresh which is key for a good IPA. One of my favorite places in the triad to grab a beer!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
Looooooved it! Can't remember what beer I had, but I know it was a sour. I love my sours, woohoo! I want to come back here so bad, I know I can bring my dogs because they are dog friendly and they have plenty of games to occupy yourself with. They also have food trucks that come, so that's also a huge plus. The ambiance is a friendly and warm environment and all should feel welcome!
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
We didn't eat there so I couldn't comment on the food but the beer was excellent. Very good and friendly service. Really cool little place. I don't remember the name of the brown ale I had but it was great!! Even brought a couple of 4 packs home with me.

Yelp
Love Wise Man Brewing in Asheville, the Winston-Salem location does not disappoint. We enjoyed a flight of 4 beers, lots to choose from on the tap list. All were good, Scoop Dogg and Body Electric were my top two from what we tried. Bartender was awesome, helped with our final flight pick. Masks, very clear directions for navigating beer pick up and restrooms for social distancing, spaced out tables in and outdoor.
google avatar

Will R.

Yelp
By far one of the best breweries in the triad if not in all NC. Their Conceited Genius 2.0 IPA is my favorite beer here, confidently can say that. The vibe is always good and I love the indoor/outdoor seating. Pre-covid, they would have live music. The staff is always great, always in a good mood. Food trucks available almost daily. They know what they are doing for sure when it comes to crafting good beer....I honestly love their beer this much. Always my go-to in Winston. COVID info: 21+ for what looks like after 8pm, social distancing, masks enforced, mask worn by staff. Additional picnic tables were added outside (on top of the original outdoor seating).
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
Love this location and amazing space. Great selection to fit many tastes. Food trucks and live bands featured here always make for a great night!
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere as you walk in. We didn't have a problem finding a seat. They had a food truck and the best live band. There was ample spacing. The energy was so positive which my night enjoyable. Definitely going back!
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
Was visiting the area for a local football game and Wise Man was recommended. It was very easy to get to from the high way and had plenty of parking. There was a market going on the day I visited which was fun to browse and they had a great beer selection. I really enjoyed the hibiscus sour
google avatar

Cristina S.

Yelp
Came here during the day with my friend while driving back from the mountains to Raleigh. Such a cool place and the beer was good! It was just opening up so no crowd. I would definitely check this place out again when in Winston salem
google avatar

Kayla H.

Yelp
Wise Man is my favorite brewery in Winston. They have a great selection of beer that include seasonal varieties as well as their staple beers. The brewery is a large, open warehouse style building that has a great vibe. There is a variety of seating both inside and outside that easily allows you to enjoy a beer while also maintaining a social distance. They have extended their outdoor seating and have added heaters to allow more people to enjoy visiting while being socially distant. On weekends they have someone at the door checking IDs as well as monitoring COVID guidelines. Another plus is they always have a nice food truck schedule that you can easily check out in advance on their Instagram page. I highly recommend checking out Wise Man Brewery.
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, live music, and friendly, helpful bartenders. You order at the counter and grab a seat. I enjoyed their Conceited Genius IPA, and look forward to coming back to try others.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
Cool place, real nice beer selection. Indoor outdoor seating. Food truck on sight. Had a nice IPA, staff were great!
google avatar

Yelp
I think this is best beer in WS, place is in great area great vibe good music, great variety of beer to choose from
google avatar

Jeanine K.

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries in town for sure! I love the open space, service is always great and they come out with some pretty awesome beers. They make some pretty good coffee beers (I don't even like coffee!), IPA/ and the tropical shirts series is always delicious. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
google avatar

Josh F.

Yelp
Last couple times I have been buy the bartenders are more interested in socializing with a couple reg customers vs pouring beer for others. For the price I would hope the beer would stay flowing and the hanging out could be for after work
google avatar

Richard N.

Yelp
Great place. 4 of us came on Sat. Night when there was live music and a food truck. Very busy but the great staff had no wait at the bar to be served which was greatly appreciated. The staff were very knowledgeable of their beers and guided me to their breakfast porter or stout can't remember which but it was delicious. We did not eat from the truck so can't comment. They are dog friendly both inside and out. Will return soon.
google avatar

Khari C.

Yelp
Truly awesome brewery! This was my first visit but I am positive I'll be back. I came here with some buddies over the weekend, and a good time was had by all. I'll start by saying that I really enjoyed the vibe. It was a nice day out, and there were dogs of all shapes and sizes just about everywhere. Everyone (including the dogs actually) seemed to be relaxed and the atmosphere overall was very chIll, even when it started getting crowded inside. As far as drinks go, I tried the two sours that were available at the time, the Full Current and the Peaceful Revolution. They were both pretty good, but I'd probably suggest the Peaceful Revolution, but only if you like peaches (the peach flavor cake through pretty clearly). I also got the Body Electric, a double IPA that was really good! What made my experience all the better was that the bartenders were willing to make recommendations and let me try a few things before I decided on my order. As the night went on, live music geared up, which was pretty awesome. Eventually the bartenders stopped serving out of glass and switched over to plastic, which was unfortunate because the glasses were pretty neat, but definitely understandable considering how many people were in there
google avatar

Jackie H.

Yelp
Best brewery in town! Located downtown and they are constantly changing out what they have on tap. Almost every beer I've had here is a winner and my personal favorites are Jose Gose and Slightly Insane (sours), but their scoop dog is a great cream ale that you can't go wrong with. They have trivia on Monday nights and always have a food truck outside. If you aren't feeling the food truck, they have popcorn (kettle, cheddar, etc) and almonds available. The back patio is fenced in and colorful and provides a lot of seating. Games and cornhole are also available!
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
The whole area where this brewery resides deserves a visit, and a shout out. Great beers that we tried here, and the staff was very nice too. Love the art on display.

Yelp
WMB, in my opinion, is not only THE craft beer destination in WS, but is is also THE nightlife hotspot as well. There is nothing like WMB anywhere in WS. It has a true brewery feel and vibe. It's not a restaurant that has a brewery, it's just a brewery. Brewing beers us what they do and the do it well. On any given day you will find a selection of about 12 beers on the board, with a few of them being NC based guest taps. The beers I have had there, especially the IPAs are phenomenal- hoppy, citrusy and juicy. There are an official venue on Untappd as well. As for the building itself it is fantastic- open and airy. It is like a traditional brewery yet clean and modern (without being hipster modern.) There is plenty of indoor seating, and a nice little beer garden outdoor seating area as well. You can also find a few tables out front. The bar staff is amazing- I have remarked countless times that no matter how busy they are the bar staff serves quickly, efficiently and on top of that they all have been super nice. There are always plenty of staff working to accommodate the large crowds, which haven't decreased in size at all since their grand opening. There are board games, giant jenga and connect four for your entertainment as well as everyone's favorite party game, cornhole. Wise Man doesn't serve food but there's normally a food truck on site. Camel City BBQ is also right up the road so you could stop there first and bring some takeout with you, or even order a pizza delivered from Burke Street, etc like we did for my husband's birthday. I gave 4 versus 5 stars because of the kid factor. I just never have understood how a brewery bills itself as "family friendly" and that people think it's ok to bring a pack of screaming kids to a brewery for Petes sake. It's not freaking Chuckie Cheese people. I get annoyed when it's standing room only and my party can't even sit down to enjoy ourselves because there's a table of kids who shouldn't even be there playing monopoly. Parents do all of us a favor, leave the kids at home- hire a dang babysitter- this place is a BAR for ADULTS. Cheers to you WMB- judging by your nightly and even daily crowds you are hitting on all cylinders. I wish you even more success and toast your current ones!

Cassie R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday afternoon and loved it! Great beer selection as well as some froze and other cocktails for non beer drinkers. They had an empanada food truck the day we visited which were delicious and fairly priced. There is plenty of outdoor seating and it's a great spot for a nice day to sit and relax. Will definitely visit again if I return to Winston Salem!
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Cute taproom, I really enjoyed the Body Electric IPA! I started off with a flight followed by a pint and a 4 pack to go. The staff members were friendly and the brewery was somewhat spacious. If you are in the Winston Salem area I would definitely recommend visiting Wise Man Brewing.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
Impressed at how full the parking lot was here on a Thursday night and for good reason. All three of the beers I tasted were solid, even if dealing with a couple of the bartenders leaves a bad taste in your mouth (attitude). I like the option of being able to get either 10 ounces or a pint. Hard to taste around while drinking pints (for me, at least). The Food Freaks trailer was there the night I went - always a bonus to eat a delicious burger and fries with beer. I'm sure I will be back. Will just choose my beer slinger more carefully next time.
google avatar

Kecia M.

Yelp
Very nice brewery in a cool downtown district. Great brews. Food trucks available too or other available food nearby. Nice inside and outside seating. Our first time here. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
Great beer great service great environment. Both indoor and outdoor environments were comfortable. They have food trucks or you can bring your own meals. Plenty of outdoor seating and air dog friendly (even indoors)

Yelp
Now let's get one thing straight from the beginning! I am NOT the beer expert, nor am I a beer drinker...period! I loath the taste of beer! Strictly a wine and liquor guy for sure! That being said, Wise Man Brewing is a really cool place with a open air concept. It's been a hotbed of activity since it opened, so I'll assume that the beer is a winner here? I was here this past Saturday for a local event that was extremely kid friendly and I will say that I was quite impressed with the staff and facility! The staff worked tirelessly to accommodate the drinkers, and to pour my Sirah! I will say, after speaking to someone who frequents the place, that on really busy nights you can forget getting up to the bar to get a beer/wine. There is no walk-up line if you're not sitting at the bar, notr do they have runners taking orders. That would turn me off immediately if I loved beer and came here often as on this Saturday afternoon it was hard enough to get a drink! That being said, it's a cool vibe and somewhere I'd frequent more often if they had a larger wine offering.....and a way to order it!!
