Where to Eat in Wheaton

"This NY-style pizza chain recently expanded into Maryland with the opening of a new Wheaton Mall location. Enjoy pizza by the slice as well as calzones and New York-style cheesecakes for dessert." - Tim Ebner

I picked up two slices of pizza from Wiseguys pizza over in the mall. It was a fine eating establishment, I felt like their large pizzas were kind of expensive! I think each slice was around five dollars! That being said, they did have some unique pizza toppings that I tried! And the overall pizza was good!

Went out of my way to try out their pizza after reading great reviews on FB but when I got there (having to walk through the mall and go to the food court), the sign was already down and all that were left were a bunch of empty pizza boxes. Some lady was cleaning up behind the counter and when I asked what happened, she said they closed yesterday. What a disappointment. It would've been good for them to update Google Maps. I tried making that update on Google Maps but got an error.

My wife and I are native New Yorkers, i.e, Pizza Snobs. We’ve lived in 3 states and the DMV. Wise Guy Pizza is authentic. Full stop. Just the right amount of oil on top, the pepperoni was perfectly flat, unlike some at imposter pizza places where they lay like mini saucers. The crust is simply New York - the crust thin and soft, not like other “thin crust” imitators that tastes like cardboard. The only complaint is the sausage: little rectangle strips rather than small round pieces. However, they were tasty. We are happy to finally, after 40 years of searching, find real NY pizza. Note: Where were the Black & Whites?

Placed an order with certain toppings (paid extra for toppings) to drive all the way over there and find out they made the pizza without those toppings but tried to give it to us without informing us. Also paid an extra $3 to have spicy sauce and they only use pepper flakes. Straight up awful and not like the other Wiseguys that you find in DC. So disappointed!

They had a good vegan pizza. Just as important, the woman that served me provided me with great customer service. I left with exactly what I wanted.

This place stole $50 from me. Online order. Drove half an hour to pick it up, only to arrive and have the worker tell me "I was about to call you". They didn't have the ingredients for my pizza. I tried to be flexible and order another pizza with different ingredients, but they couldn't make that either. I asked for a refund, which the worker didn't know how to do, so I waited for the manager to come in. He said he processed it but the money never went back to my account. I went back a week later and he said there was nothing more he could do, so he'd ask his manager for help - but I haven't heard back. Almost 2 weeks later, I'm out $50 and at least 2 hours of my time driving back and forth for neither pizza nor a resolution.

Stopped by for a slice, so many to choose from! Went with the Nashville Hot Chicken and it was delicious! The pizza was hot and fresh and the staff was very friendly. Will be back to try more!!

Yelp
Accepts cash and credit card. Located inside the Wheaton mall at the food court. If you are familiar with the Wise Guy pizza near DC Chinatown, this place is no different. We decided to give this place a try. We tried their cauliflower margarita pizza. It cost about $18 and was very underwhelming. For $18, it felt like it could have been half the price. The portion was more of a personal size and the quality was okay. If you are looking for decent portion, you might need to spend a bit more. I really had high hopes for this place, but it was underwhelming. You can order online and pick it up to avoid the long wait times.

Yelp
Unbelievable. Pizza delivery was 45 min late! When I got the pizza it was lukewarm and the seal was broken. I attempted to call the restaurant and it's apparently closed now (8:11pm). Btw, google maps says the pizza place is 0.9 miles from my location. I'm starving but hesitant to eat the pizza. I also prepaid a 20% tip. So, this very infuriating experience cost me $45.

Yelp
Wiseguy is one of the few legit NY slices in the DMV. Now at the Wheaton mall, grab a pie or a slice if you're near the food court. There's not much else to say. It's a decent NY pizza replica with a thin crust, not too floppy, with a good cheese to sauce ratio. Check it out!

Yelp
How do you screw a BYOP order I literally told you exactly what I wanted on the pizza and yet you can't even follow directions. Not to mention parts of the order were missing altogether. First and last time with this place.

Yelp
The slices aren't good as the original. That being said the service was on point as usual. The ambiance is in a mall food court.

Yelp
Pizza was great and I loved being able to order by the slice. So many choices! I had the truffle, chicken paneer and backyard. The backyard slice has a lot of topping which led to a mushy crust in the center. Otherwise , yum!

Yelp
I ordered a chicken pizza, came with very minimal CHX on it.. they basically handed me a veggie pizza, no thank you!

Yelp
If you like NY style thin crust pizza this is it! Staff was very friendly. I love that they give a discount to first responders. The chocolate chip cookies are good too. Hopefully they'll open more restaurants in Md.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious! It was cheesy and the crust had a real nice crisp to it. The lady who assisted me was very kind and fast.

Yelp
Pizza is fresh and the sauce is seasoned well. The Backyard and Margherita are great vegetarian choices. The pizza is definitely higher quality than what we get here in the DMV. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
It was fine. Average pizza from a mall food court. For the price, it was okay and the service was decent.
