My wife and I are native New Yorkers, i.e, Pizza Snobs. We’ve lived in 3 states and the DMV. Wise Guy Pizza is authentic. Full stop. Just the right amount of oil on top, the pepperoni was perfectly flat, unlike some at imposter pizza places where they lay like mini saucers. The crust is simply New York - the crust thin and soft, not like other “thin crust” imitators that tastes like cardboard. The only complaint is the sausage: little rectangle strips rather than small round pieces. However, they were tasty.
We are happy to finally, after 40 years of searching, find real NY pizza. Note: Where were the Black & Whites?
