Where to Get King Cake in New Orleans This Carnival Season

"This delightful bakery makes a unique, not-too-sweet king cake, offering an exciting break from the expected — made with Asian milk bread style brioche, it’s topped with a glaze made from housemade cream cheese and comes with coconut, sweet red bean paste, or a simple cinnamon and brown sugar filling. Preorder is required, call or visit the website." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell

Where to Find New Orleans’s Best Dumplings | Eater New Orleans

"Vivi and Kevin Zheng’s hybrid bakery/Asian cafe serves some of the very best dumplings in New Orleans — and the offerings are perhaps the most extensive to be found locally, as well. Flavorful dumpling varieties include pork buns, a pork floss dumpling roll, scallop and shrimp pocket dumplings, crawfish, onion and beef, on and on. Excitingly, Wishing Town is opening a second location at the corner of Nashville Avenue and Magazine Street in early 2022." - Beth D’Addono

Was craving some noodles!! Stopped by and had the Taiwan Shacha beef noodles. The broth and noodles remind me of childhood. The beef had a unique taste, it tasted like pork? I had the cucumber salad also, I wouldn’t get this again. The cucumber tasted very fragrant it didn’t have the chili oil flavor. But there egg tarts and dessert are the show of the show!

Delicious and fresh, handmade, dim sum, dumpling(s) & soups. Definitely a wonderful and light treat. They also have lots of sweets and pastries to choose from as well and the most divine cold pineapple green tea. Definitely give them a try.

Google
They stepped up their game since they moved over by Lakeside Mall!! The menu is extensive and there's so much to pick from! Everything from the numerous dumpling options to their multiple flavors of crepe cakes, everything is a must eat. I always get these: Dragon Shrimp Pork Floss Dumplings Beef salad Scallop pocket And soup dumplings! Go eat here! @phidingthefam

Couple of friends of mine recommended this restaurant so I gave it a try and it was so so. I might have ordered the wrong things that aren’t that good? We ate 10 differently dishes and I’m not nuts about it…

Google
Food is so good! What a gem of Chinese dim sum in NOLA! We enjoyed every single dish and stuffed ourselves. The bakery was so unique and not too sweet, just perfect. My favorites were crawfish (siu mai) dumpling, a wonderful tasty fusion of Chinese and Cajun, and onion and beef gravy noodles! This is a must when stopping by NOLA! Close to airport too!

Google
Very small restaurant that gives a feeling that this is a very temporary location. No wall decor. Order at the counter. I got the dragon shrimp dumplings and the tofu sweet rice to dine in. Those shrimp dumplings were freaking amazing. I ended up getting a slice of the taro cake and the green tea cake to go and they were just lovely.

Google
This is an amazing place for dim sum their dumplings are very trendy... I've also ordered birthday cakes from here.. the staff is very friendly and their is a short wait time. If you are a foodie, I highly suggest you experience wishing town bakery cafe!

Google
I visited Wishing Town with my daughter after we went shopping at Lakeside Mall. We were to checkout what they have and left with some cake slices. They were amazing- light and soft and mild sweet. My daughter already said she wanted her next birthday cake from here.

Yelp
This review is strictly based on the food. I got a delivery order from Uber Eats based off of a special I noticed on the app. The name of this establishment caught my eye. I would have never guessed the type of cuisine based upon the name. Once I clicked on it, I noticed a great buy 1 get 1 free deal on Spicy Beef Dumpling Soup. I was definitely in the food for some soup so I placed the order. Once it arrived the only issue I had was that the serving size is very small. I was glad I got the 2 for 1 special due to this. When I opened the container the broth smelled great! The dumplings were in a separate container. I mixed them together and dove right in. The taste was GREAT! The spice level was perfect. Enough to know it's spicy but not so strong to be difficult to eat. The flavor was really good. The dumplings were cooked well and the filling was nice. I also ordered a Wishing Cake which ended up being adorable. It tasted great as well. Overall, I'm glad I opted to check out this little unexpected place. I'll definitely go in soon to try some other things.

Yelp
Another hiding gem! This is a cute little spot located in Metairie across from the Lakeside mall. Great place for a quick lunch. It is on the small side, so I do recommend ordering to go if you can. The customer service was great. You do have to order at the counter. Everything came out in a timely manner and fresh. The dumplings were by far the best I've had in state in a long time. It amazed me how many different dumplings they had on the menu. My favorite was the spicy crawfish. The flavors just explodes in your mouth. Its definitely a place that I will be visiting on a regular.

Yelp
I stopped by this place on a whim after a threading appointment. I'd been craving some dumplings and, unfortunately, it seems a bit difficult trying to locate non-pork filled dumplings in my area. The interior is a bit small, but that's to be expected of a cafe. I tried the Dragon Shrimp Dumplings and Birds Nest Garlic Shrimp. The dumplings were a solid 7.5/10. The Birds Nest Garlic Shrimp was a 6/10. The actual shrimp were the major issue for me. I was not fond of them at all. I apologize to the owners and accept correction if I am wrong, but these shrimp did not taste fresh or locally sourced. Even if not fresh, I wish they were Louisiana-Gulf shrimp. They were very chewy, strong, with no real "snap." They could've been severely overcooked. Had the shrimp been plumper, sweeter, and milder as Gulf shrimp usually are, I would've enjoyed my dishes significantly more. The food was a tad under seasoned as well. Service was pretty good. The young lady working the cash register was sweet. Overall, I'd be willing to return to try some other items. 3.4/5.

Yelp
We came in on a whim and were so delighted with how good this was! We had crisp cucumber salad, mini steamed pork buns, spicy crawfish pocket dumplings, and Szechuan hot & spicy dumpling soup. Everything was so good, especially the soup and surprisingly the cucumbers (my husband doesn't even like cucumbers but enjoyed these). Especially considering the price, this was a really nice lunch. Service was pretty quick here! But also be aware, this is not a place to bring a large group to. It is tiny and can really only seat like 2-4 at a time, maybe 5 if you don't need the elbow room. Definitely better for a quick lunch date than a group meal.

Yelp
This spot is perfect for my random dim sum or Seafood hot pot cravings. The food is good, and the restaurant is cute and quaint. The service is quick so it makes for a nice dine-in lunch option if you work in the area.

Yelp
Love the food, no wonder Asians are always so skinny! The service is excellent, and it was really sweet of the girls to bring food to the table. The ambiance is a storefront with ceramic "wood flooring". It would be nice if they commissioned a large dragon mural on the hallway wall. The only thing I really dislike is when someone leaves (right next to me) and the fast paced employee has a huge container of Lysol "set to jet mode" and sprays so much that the shrimp dumplings had an instant lemon taste all up in the nose and stuff. I guess the employees must be on video or feel that patrons are going to rat them out. The walls are a hard surface, so we got the "run-down" from someone on the other side of the restaurant. Maybe some nice BOSE speakers connected to an Asian satellite radio- so competitors CAN'T advertise to your customers. Now I'm thinking about a long Asian (or even Persian tapestry hanging on that long plain yellow wall. It would prevent scuff marks on the paint, and absorb some of the echoes from "well she got married to a lawyer and they felt it was better to raise the kids near their cousins in Washington state, blah . It was sort of like my puppy barking in my ear and triggering "loud environment" on my watch. It is always just an opinion, but the food is really awesome and now it's off to the Vietnamese donut place... Will definitely return. It was really awesome .

Yelp
Wishing Town Bakery Cafe is conveniently located close to the lakeside mall and it is also in a little center with Sharetea close by. If you're looking for a quick option for dimsum and bites, choose this one! My favorite to get here is pastries, specifically the egg tarts, it is definitely a step up in comparison to typical dim sum egg tarts, it is bigger in size also. In this trip, we tried the xiao long bao and sho mai they were A-ok! you order as you go here so to me, it seems fresher than a push cart option. The outside of the XLB was soft and the broth was great. Service was quick and no complaints there. Ambiance is clean and simple. I plan to go back here to try more of the pastries!

Yelp
My very first time trying Dim Sum and I was not disappointed. I wanted to get the Soup Dumplings but that's for dine in only and we of course got our food to go. The cafe is small and intimate so you can easily enjoy your meal in peace. The wait time was about 30 minutes which wasn't long at all and my kids were even give Egg Tarts, which they did not share because they said they were soooo delicious, for their own wait time because we had to get them their own order of the mini buns. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh. If I had to choose a favorite it would be the mini buns. Everything pretty much tastes the same without tasting the same, if you get what I mean. We are already planning to visit again today just to try something different so the next review is loading....

Yelp
I'm moving away from New Orleans soon, so I decided to finally try the new menu here. The broth was excellent, and the crab and pickled greens complimented it so well. I've tried other seafood/crab soup noodles only to find they had a weird flavor, so I'm happy these didn't disappoint!

Yelp
Have loved this bakery since it was on David Drive... such tender and not overly sweetened pastries... ohhh and their dumplings are exquisite

Yelp
I had Wishingtown last month and it's just as good as I remember it. You can tell how authentic this place in everything that they do. They are usually very quick and the service is excellent. I always order the fatty beef hot pot with the non-spicy broth and the glass noodles and it is to die for! I will say that I noticed mine was missing some of the ingredients it usually has in it like the tofu, mushrooms, etc. which was kind of disappointing (which is the only reason I deducted a star from my review) but it was still delicious! Their dumplings are always so fresh and delightful and my favorites are the onion beef triangles. Everything about this place is great and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This is a very interesting place. It's part restaurant, part bakery, and pretty much all Asian. The restaurant menu has multiple dim sum and dumpling options, as well as intriguing offerings such as octopus balls and jellyfish salad. I tried the sweet rice tofu roll and, naturally, had to try the octopus balls. The sweet rice was a bit hard to eat - the fried tofu wrap was as difficult to bite through as a thick sausage casing - but it was good. The octopus balls though were surprisingly jarring to my palette. Something about the vaguely sweet flavor of the dough balls combined with the potent fish flavor of the bonito flakes was not appealing. Not to say they were bad! The actual bits of octopus inside each piece were small enough that the chewiness wasn't a problem, the bonito flakes by themselves or on my sweet rice were good, but my taste buds just didn't like the combination of the bonito with the dough balls. On the dessert side there are sweets with flavors like matcha, red bean, taro, and durian. There are coconut milk cubes, pork floss cake, and the highly photogenic mille crepe cakes. I tried the taro-flavored egg yolk puff pastry and it was delish. It is important to note that there are only maybe 7 tables in the restaurant, and a couple of those are 2-seaters, so it gets full during meal rush. I've been here twice already and will definitely be going back again.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this visit. The counter server was taking care of a baby and tending to me. The tables were dirty. Menus had to be requested, no effort made by employees to serve customers properly. Food was just delivered and no follow-up. The food presentation was appealing but the execution fell through. The savory dishes were under seasoned and not properly cooked. The shrimp were overcooked and tasted reheated. The chicken was dry. The rice was not cooked properly and tasted old. The dumplings were bland. Every dish had taste and preparation issues. The prices are high for the portions. The drink selection was too limited. Had high hopes for this concept but they missed the mark. Beautiful dessert counter but the taste wasn't memorable or delightful.

Yelp
We swung by here because we were feeling peckish. Conveniently located right by the Lakeside Mall, it's a good place to stop by for desserts, snacks, drinks, or a quick bite of noodles. It's a cute Asian Cafe with both bakery items and meal type items. Chicken floss cold noodle ($9.50) - This was pretty good! It comes with a chili sauce that's not very spicy (in terms of heat), so don't be afraid of it even if you don't like things spicy! This sauce gives the dish all of its flavor, so don't skip it! The portion was fair considering being served in a shop with a cafe atmosphere. Chiffon egg custard (~$2.50) - This item was mildly sweet and perfect if you're not looking for too much sugar. With custard at the bottom and a muffin-top-like cake above it, it's a yummy dessert. About 2 inches in diameter, it's not big, but it's comparable in price and size to other dessert shops in NOLA. Matcha cake roll ($5) - The matcha cake was my favorite! I'm a sucker for matcha flavored things, so I may be biased! Hahaha this dessert was a decent sized piece of cake that was more cream than cake, but still able to keep it on the mildly sweet side. Super soft, light, and delicious. Again, the price is on par with other dessert places in our area.

Yelp
Ok so I ordered from this place hoping for the best because I was having some serious dumpling cravings. I tried the spicy dumpling soup (listed as most popular) the steamed steak dumplings (listed as most popular), fried pork dumplings and fried chicken dumplings. I also ordered the egg custard pie. The soup had absolutely NO flavor...like none! I even stirred it to see if maybe the spices had settled to the bottom. I added the hoisin and dumpling dipping sauce to try to save it which did help a little. Both of the fried dumplings were dry and flavorless even the dipping sauce did not help. I would have to say that the steamed steak dumplings were the most flavorful but that's not saying much. $60 wasted.

Yelp
The food was good, & the colored photos show exactly what it looks like. The. desserts are displayed in a refrigerated case, & are gorgeous. Mine was delicious. U

Yelp
This is a nice grab-n-go or dine-in restaurant/bakery. They are more known for their bakery items, such as mille crepe cakes. However, I decided to give their food items a try. I got the seafood hot pot with Szechuan flavor and the fried gold oysters claypot entre. The seafood hotpot was pretty standard, however, the flavor was not all the way there. I did not taste any hint of spice to it. It claimed to have seafood, but there were only shrimps and imitation crab sticks present. I like the fried oysters slightly more, but the batter is thicker than I would like. Overall, this is a pretty nice place with good service. I would not mind coming again to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I've tried some of the pastries at Wishing Town and this was my first dine in experience there. I ordered Takoyaki (the octopus balls) and spicy chicken floss salad. I was really excited for the Takoyaki since it's been a while since I've gotten a chance to eat them, but I felt that they could have been better made. There were too many flakes added for garnish and they were so soft that it was difficult to pick up and they kept sticking to the aluminum foil that they were made in. The chicken floss salad was decent and had nice flavors while also being healthy. Personally, I felt the service was a little bit slow, but it may be due to the fact that they had limited staff members on a Friday night. Would love to give Wishing Town though another try in the future since I have not yet had their Dimsum.

Yelp
I've been planning on trying Wishing Town Bakery for a while now. I ran across a video of the rainbow mille crepe cake on Instagram and it looked like pure deliciousness! I'm their defense, maybe I'm not a crepe cake person. It tasted like paper and cream, there's no other way to describe it. I was so heartbroken after tasting it lol. I also tried the Japanese cheesecake. Again, I had no idea what to expect so maybe that's my fault. It tasted okay, but reminded me a a cream cheese flavored pound cake...very "lightly" cream cheese flavored. All of that to say, this place isn't for me but I'm sure plenty of others would enjoy it.
google avatar

Yelp
Tiny restaurant at the end of a strip mall. I got the sweet rice tofu and the dragon shrimp dumplings. The dragon shrimp dumplings were amazing. I ate my food in the restaurant. Employees were friendly enough. The food came out quickly. Everything is neat and clean. Ended up getting a slice of the green tea cake and the taro cake to go. Both were quite lovely. Something is missing but it eludes me to what exactly it is. Just some key personality trait. Maybe the lack of decorations, maybe the small size, but this feels very temporary.

Yelp
Dim sum spots are few and far between in Nola... or at least good ones This place is AWESOME! We ordered like 6 dim sum at the counter (they have specials sometimes like buy 2 get 1 free) and they were all so good. Loved the xiao long bao especially. Stop the crawfish dim sum (mediocre)
google avatar

Earnest C.

Yelp
My first time to visit and I was impressed. I know they are known mostly for their cakes/desserts which I tried and enjoyed but I was very much into their hot pots & soup and noodles. Talk about warm, bursting with all kinds of flavors an beyond fulfilling. I am obsessed with the spicy seafood soup noodle. That spice in the soup base is just right! I can't wait to get back to try more
google avatar

Misty R.

Yelp
Finally tried this place and it did not disappoint! The steamed buns and dumplings are hand rolled and delicious! We also had the birds nest garlic shrimp and it was also great. I will def be back!
google avatar

Halfi R.

Yelp
The food was very good. I sat down at bench like tables and the waiter was very very nice. I got 2 orders of soup dumplings and I wholeheartedly recommend, voodoo rolls that were extremely good with their sweet chili. When me and my girlfriend were leaving we asked about their pastries and the waiter offered a freebie to try and that I have never experienced. 5/5 experience!
google avatar

Chandler D.

Yelp
Wishingtown bakery and cafe serves baked good, cake orders, and dim sum. I personal love their baked goods! This is their matcha crepe cake and their rainbow crepe cake. The matcha is one of my favorite pastries from so creamy and flavorful. It is addicting. They now have an uptown location too! So enjoy
google avatar

Yelp
Came here expected some tasty food and was kind of disappointed. The food was okay. It had spice but not much flavor to it. The service itself was sorta mediocre which also didn't help the experience. Plus it smelled like a cigar in there because of the cigar room next door.

Michele B.

Yelp
We ordered the Spicy Seafood Soup Noodle and it was delicious!!!! I thought it was going to be too spicy but it was perfect. The broth was everything!

Yelp
This review is only for the king cake and hot dog bun. We have not had the chance to try the Dim Sum yet, so that is high on our list. Their dumplings did look very good on other people's tables :) The restaurant is located behind the mall in Metairie. There is a small parking lot, but it was pretty full while we were there. Outside is pretty standard. The inside is smaller than I expected, with only about 6 tables in an "L" shape around the counter/register. The bakery case had lots of good-looking options in it. Service was good. We had been hearing about their king cake so we were excited to see that it was sold by the slice. They had 3 options available: Coconut cream, red bean, and pumpkin. We also got a hot dog bun. The king cake was good, but not great. The brioche bread was moist, and the icing was good without being too sweet. The disappointment was that we could not find any coconut cream in the cake. There were some coconut pieces in the dough, but nothing that I would consider a cream, which would have been nice to add more moisture to the cake. When we were looking at the other options, there was a noticeable "filling" to those cakes. Apparently, this one does not get that. Overall, 4 stars for the king cake. The hot dog bun was spectacular. The bread was delicious. There were 8 small pieces of hot dog that were wrapped within the dough, and there was ketchup, mustard, and sesame seeds on top. Delicious, and at $3.50 I could have eaten 5 of these easily. I will be back next time to try some dumplings! Price: Ambiance: 4 stars Price: 5 stars Food: 4 stars

Yelp
I got the fried chicken dumplings appetizer and was given 2 egg tarts. The dumplings were great tasting and the tarts were tasty as well. Great customer service, and great ambiance in the restaurant. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Soup dumplings were great. Broth was flavorful and dough was soft. Would like to try other things on the menu as they look good. The sweets not so much. Had the rainbow mile cake and the tiramisu. Both were ok just wouldn't order again.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
A different type of king cake. Denser cake, much less sweet creamy topping. Notice the unusual filling? Very subtle, slightly salty red bean paste. Yes, RED BEAN!!! It's delicious! Y'all should give this tiny little place a try... The old Morning Call site 18th and Hullen...

Ashley K.

Yelp
Love eating here. My favorite item on the menu is the cucumber salad -very simple and yet somehow addictive. We also love getting the spicy dumpling soup and an assortment of soup dumplings.
google avatar

Zabrina R.

Yelp
My friends always get our birthday cakes from here. The wishingtown cake is a chiffon cake with fresh fruit and a "naked" frosting. The cake comes with traditional fortune cookies and a little syringe for extra sweetness. It looks amazing and doesn't taste too sweet! We love preordering the larger cakes, however you can get small ones pre-stocked if you're in a rush. I've also tried their soup dumplings which are a great option for rainy days.

Alexzondra G.

Yelp
The absolute worst experience EVER! The customer service is beyond lacking at this establishment. I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday party and paid additional for delivery. As our party progressed, the cake never arrived. I called numerous times and the staff answering the phone was unphased to say the least. They also said that they were unsure what to do and could not make any decisions regarding the matter. I asked numerous times to speak to management and I could clearly hear the staff speaking with management back and forth in Vietnamese. However, I was told management was unavailable. I finally had to send family to obtain the cake from the store, but I met major resistance from the staff saying that they were unable to make decisions regarding the matter and could not release the cake to us. The cake that I paid for!!! Finally, they allowed my family member to pick up the cake. I received a phone call later that evening from someone apologizing and stating that I would receive a partial or full refund depending on what the owner allowed but I never heard back from them. I have tried to call and leave messages and no one calls me back. I never even was refunded for the delivery that never occurred. The cake was dry and seemed like it was not fresh. I have ordered many cakes from here before but will not be returning. Unfortunate.

Yelp
It's a quaint nice restaurant and bakery. Young lady behind the register taking orders was very helpful, explaining the various options. Menu had a good selection of fried and steamed items, along with soups and hot pots. We ordered the crispy fried chicken dumpling and the mini steamed buns with beef. The fried chicken dumplings were perfectly fried and tasty. The chicken was moist and the seasonings were perfect. Then we bit into the steamed buns -- the pork was so delicious and steamed to perfection. Pure delight to the palate! So good we had to order more...this time we the steamed onion beef triangle dumplings. You've heard the saying, "Saved the best for last" ... totaling true in this case. The beef dumpling melted in our mouths...Amazing! The only reason for not giving 5 Stars is because giving a 4 means we have to come again. It's my new system!

Nashale W.

Yelp
Wow!! So amazing, the dishes are mind blowing. So much flavor with an excellent presentation. The severs are so sweet, I can't wait to come back here with someone next time.

Yelp
CAKE LOVERS ALERT!!!!!! I had the pleasure of patronizing Wishing Town in Metairie (old morning call shoppe) behind the Lakeside mall and I had some interesting sweets for my taste buds! I ordered the 6 inch wishing cake which is a light chiffon cake with Chantilly cream for a breast cancer awareness dinner and had to get a slice of the strawberry Chantilly cake until it was time to cut the bigger cake! Lol! Oh my! I absolutely love cake and this slice of strawberry Chantilly cake was so light and tasty! Loved it! I also ordered the spicy dumpling soup and it was okay to me. I did enjoy the spicy soup flavor but did not care for the beef dumplings consistency. I would try this again for those days when you down with the flu or sick and need a nice pick me up kinda soup to help you feel better. Glad I stopped by and will definitely order other cakes in the future! I also liked the fact that you could place your order online and it could be ready same day or within minutes for the soups! U can get cake slices instead of ordering a bigger cake! Winning!
google avatar

Audrey F.

Yelp
I've been following this place since they were on David Dr and only serving cakes and pastries! I looooove them so much as a treat and for birthday cakes shaped as numbers! You seriously cannot choose a bad dessert or pastry, because everything is just so delectable! My favorite for large cakes are the rainbow milli crepe or the pandan flavor! For small slices I love the taro!!! They have egg tarts and chiffon cake egg tart which I prefer of the 2! Now for the dim sum, it is awesome! Enough to satisfy that craving and leave you 100% satisfied for dumplings, hot pot, and noods!!!! Personally, I have to go to this place very seldom because I buy 3 slices,4 dumplings, and 1 noods just for myself, every time!!!

Cassie M.

Yelp
Placed order for birthday dessert over 24 hours before needing to pick them up. Was not notified that they were out until I went to pick my order up the following day about an hour prior to the Birthday party. Called after my husband attempted to pick up order and the woman on the phone refused to give me her name or managers name. She stated she called me but did not leave a message.. states she told her boss and then says IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. So upsetting.

Camly T.

Yelp
I thought the dumplings were super yummy. I love the savory flavors they create. Their range of desserts is also stunning, just check out their green tea crepe cakes. Their online ordering system was easy to use and the food was ready on time.

Mandy M.

Yelp
Went for the first time today. We were so excited to try it. Unfortunately the woman working the counter was on the phone when we arrived so we grabbed menus after standing for 10 minutes waiting and grabbed a table. After 20 minutes she finished her phone call but didn't bother acknowledging us or letting us know that we needed to order at the counter. So another customer came in and began ordering and the employee didn't say a word to us. So we left.

Jeanne K.

Yelp
Very excited to try this place as it's very convenient and the outdoor setting is lovely. Ordered a pretty standard array of dumplings ( and a soup) - the soup was ok but the dumplings were below par. The fillings were bland and overpacked so they were very hard and the dumpling dough was tough. I'll be on the lookout for a different dumpling place.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Never thought to order regular food here before. Always came for desserts/cakes. Gave the food a try & it's tasty! Definitely a little pricy. I really like their char siu tofu pockets & pork floss dumplings. The service is great & the workers are nice. It's a small place but they have a couple of tables & chairs for you to dine in. Definitely give this place a try! After dining here, make your way next door to Sharetea & grab yourself some milk tea ;)
google avatar

Lucy G.

Yelp
This location is great for Chinese dim sum! They also have a nice selection of baked goods for dessert. It's a smaller setting, most likely a party of 4 would be the max you would bring here. There two small tables outside for seating and a few tables inside for seating. Highly recommend the soup dumplings and pork steamed buns! They provide everything in a cute steam basket, freshly cooked. It tastes pretty authentic in my opinion. Would definitely come back for dim sum!

Yelp
Small portions, white rice was bland. Chicken kebabs are small and salty. We took our food to go, maybe that's why.

Yelp
This place is legit! I didn't expect to find authentic dim sum in NOLA, but this place satisfied my craving after a whole week of heavy Cajun food. Their onion beef dumplings and so is the steamed rice noodle with ground beef! Don't sleep in the crawfish dumplings either. That was a surprise and very unique! They're more known for their desserts and baked goods, which is crazy since their dim sum is bomb !

Yelp
This location is perfect for anyone looking to grab a quick bite near the mall. They're fast with the service and are available for both dine-in and take out. The dumplings are savory and delicious, and the pork floss melts in your mouth.

Yelp
Tasty food but the portions were tiny tiiiiny. We spent $40(!!!) for 2 (non starving adults) and left hungry. The soup dumplings were 1/3 of the size of anywhere else I have had them (NYC, SFO, etc). You order at the counter. No one checked on us after food was dropped. No soup spoon. No napkins. No brewed tea. Meh.

Yelp
The service is amazing and the food comes out fast! Had the hotpot and chicken skewer both were very good. The chicken skewer was phenomenal and was some of the best quality chicken I've had in a long time. Their bakery items are good as well. They have a unique selection that other bakeries may not have which is a pleasant surprise. The ambiance is also nice if you're looking for a place to have a peaceful meal, at least at the time I went.
