Detroit’s Best New Restaurants, May 2025 | Eater Detroit

"Witch Topokki, the first Michigan location for this all-you-can-eat Korean-style restaurant, opened on Friday, April 11, in Troy. With its first U.S. location in Manhattan, visitors are invited to customize their own topokki experience by selecting their preferred seasonings with broth, along with proteins like sliced meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables." - Serena Maria Daniels

Honestly so sad to see this location has bad reviews. If you're a Topokki lover you are going to really enjoy this place!!! They have a different variety of topokki to chose from and I got to try some that I have never had. This is similar to a hot pot concept except with sauces/condiments for topokki. I thought for an all you can eat the price was great. 25 dollars on weekends and 23 during the week. You can get more pricey items like the sliced beef and shrimp to cook on the topokki which is really nice. As someone who loves veggies, they also had a large selection of veggies to choose from which made me really happy. Lastly the already made hot food was so delicious! Wings were crispy, mandu crunchy, and grilled pork belly to die for (plus there's more like japchae, beef bulgogi). The vibes were fun and livel, loved the decor. Lastly staff was extremely helpful and made great suggestion for drink pairings! Will definitely be back :)

Of all Asian based restaurants in the area, this has to be my favorite now. Everyone was so kind and helpful for our first time and the food was amazing. Anyone who has a bad experience, I’m convinced you just did not know how to choose the right hotpot bases and sauces for you. For the money you definitely get your buck for 2 hours! Everything was very clean and hygienic, and halal foods were marked down and easily accessible. Our first round of food was a test of everything to see what we liked or didn’t like but I don’t think we disliked anything if I’m being honest. They were pretty nice to us about the excess food as well. Definitely coming back again.

Everybody that works here is called John. The manager’s name is John. One of the waiters name is John. My name is John. The bathrooms are also called John. It’s amazing here however, there is one waiter here who is just as nice as our John and his name is. HOYEON and in Korean it is pronounced John. Beef dishes are served with dinner. The chicken and seafood is veggies is served with lunch very unique different taste in terms of flavors that you can create create you’ll see possibly some of the slides different flavors that you can combine especially the spicy up to the top spices that’ll melt your mouth even before you take a taste of it so if you like spicy or no spicy or whatever it’s pretty good it is kind of like a hot pot, but it’s it’s it’s a song unique flavor. I think it’s a fish broth that you use as a base and you add the seasoning and spices and you go up to the table and grab all the stuff that you want for your meal and they will gladly give you new pots to cook with and the servers are very well trained very polite and putting up with a customer like me that’s amazing and the manager even put up with me and but since his name is John, I can forgive him. This is the only place in the United States outside of Manhattan so it’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you to explore with your taste buds vision and camaraderie with the people you love. This is a total different experience than Kpot and other restaurants like this in Michigan. This destination is the only one outside of New York and I assure you it is delicious. Manager John is a fantastic administrator. This is a good place to dine in and I hope you enjoy your experience. Love from Brighton MI.

Witch Topokki was an excellent choice for lunch today. I enjoyed the variety of options and level of service. It was fun picking your own flavor of sauces.

I finally got to try Witch Tteokbokki (마녀 떡볶이) here in Michigan, and wow—this place instantly gave me that nostalgic chingu-mom( 친구엄마) vibe (you know, like when you’d go over to your friend’s house after school and her mom would whip up the best homemade tteokbokki). The flavor was so on point that I couldn’t stop saying, “This is so good!” the whole time I was eating. The fried dumplings dipped into the spicy tteokbokki sauce? Next-level. That combo alone makes me want to come back again and again. And the service here—absolutely jinjja(진짜) amazing. A special shoutout to Hoyeon(호연님, he is also good at taking photos), the owner(사장님), and even John—you can tell why this place has such a rep for being one of the friendliest spots around. The non-alcoholic cocktail options were another thoughtful touch that made me feel really taken care of. If you’ve ever seen those K-dramas or Netflix shows where Korean students in uniforms are huddled around a bubbling pot of tteokbokki—that’s exactly what it felt like here. And it doesn’t stop there: the spicy pork bulgogi, the samgyeopsal with kimchi… all I can say is chef’s kiss. You can really see how much research and care went into building this menu. This spot is honestly such a gem, blending Korean comfort food with a modern U.S. dining vibe. Thank you to the owner for bringing such authentic yet trendy flavors to Michigan. I’ll definitely be back—no cap

I drove 20 minutes to this place and it was amazing, when I walked into the restaurant the manger greeted me happily and with such kindness. The inside looks absolutely amazing, it’s spacious and you have many options. I went in there and got the Witch Classic which was recommended by one of the servers, and I don’t regret it at all! When i went it the hot food had many choices and none of the choices were bad at all. Originally went in with the thought of only being able to finish one round, but it was so good to the point I had to get myself another round and this time my broth flavor was Magic Bean also another good one I would recommend for those with a taste bud that enjoys sweetness. I went expecting it to be one bowl because of a common concept that asians do something that is called “communal eating” Overall in my opinion it was perfect to me. Thank you to the people in the kitchen for a job well done on the hot foods, thank you to the servers for their kindness, and a big thank you to the manager for being so welcoming! I will be seeing you guys again soon!

Google
Had such a great experience here today! We have done it before in South Korea but it was really nice of our server to explain everything so helpfully and get us started. There were so many options for your bowl but also so much food in the hot bar! Everything was fresh and clean. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind, and we loved the flavor our server recommended to us. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

Google
This place is amazing! The staff were very informative and helpful. The food was delicious with so many rice cakes and toppings to choose from. At the end they made us fried rice from our left over sauce and it was delicious. I will definitely go back again soon as the weather gets colder.

Yelp
I've been here twice! The first time was when they first opened and the second time was several months after. I really do enjoy the food there. The options for your pot is great. Aside from the rice cakes, I also do enjoy the other buffet food they have such as the meat, Korean fried chicken, japchae, dumplings and more. It is very fun to go with a group! It is a communal pot like traditional hot pot, so if family style isn't your thing, this may not be for you.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Witch Topokki for a while, but the price was keeping me away from taking the whole family. So I ended up taking my youngest for lunch, when it's a little more affordable. She wasn't going to eat much, but with their pricing, I still paid full price for her. We came in and the concept was explained to us, and our very friendly server walked us through creating a spice blend. We picked one of the milder ones, it still had a good kick. Then we picked out the ingredients and added them to the bowl with the fish broth. You're not supposed to use much broth, which seemed kind of weird for ramen and bigger ingredients, but it is what it is. And what it is is not hot pot (which was explained to us a few times). The interior is pretty trendy looking, and I like the drawer at the end of the table with cutlery and napkins. The hot table things were ok, some we're tasty and some of them honestly seemed overcooked and not tender. We ate more of those than the Topokki, we didn't feel like going through that process again, and weren't interested in having fried rice. It was an interesting experience, but I honestly don't think we'll be back. I don't go to many all you can eat places nowadays, just a personal preference.

Yelp
I wanted to give my sincerest and most enthusiastic gratitude to the staff at Witch Toppoki tonight (11/18/2025). The staff was incredibly engaging and very kind to me. The restaurant remains clean, well-organized, and playing good music with great vibes. The food selection is diverse and plentiful- there can never be a shortage of opportunities to try out here! I'm also just so enthused this place offers wide glass noodles as I feel like I don't see that in a lot of places!

Yelp
I came here for a late lunch and found out lunch prices go until 4. That was a happy surprise. I had never been there before so there was a short instruction for what to do but basically everyone at the table shares the pot, the pot is flavored with a spice blend of your choice at the spice bar. They have suggested recipes but you are free to make your own. Broth is provided and added to the pot with the spices to make your cooking liquid and sauce. The cold food bar is where you can select food you would like to cook in the pot. There is also a hot food bar where they have select fried food options and cooked food options as well. Food is unlimited. Finally there is a fried rice section where you can select your toppings. I did not do this but it looks interesting. Overall, decent concept, a little confusing at first but is fun. It is decently priced. I will also mention that a couple came to the restaurant and one of them was in a wheelchair and the server staff was amazing! They helped them get their items from the open buffet bar, move chairs for accommodations and helped them cook their food as they were new the restaurant as well.

Yelp
Think this used to be where the Rio wrap place used to be located by the long gone Kirkland store. The Vitamin store is still standing. Parked at Witch Toppoki just after 6:20 PM. Folks are waiting outside. Some people standing by the bar waiting for their table. The guest list stated it would be a 50 minute wait list, 9 tables ahead of us. Still 5 ahead of us and it's been over 45 minutes after putting in our name. We were seated just after an hour after putting in our name on their wait list. It's over an hour wait for a table. There are 20 tables inside. Needs more seating at this all you can eat place, which likely keeps people here for longer than necessary? $65.02 for two of us for weekend dinner rates, it's $25.95/person. It's kind of a Tteokbokki hotpot concept. I couldn't find any sauce mix that wasn't overly sweet, even the original and mala spice was super sweet. The sweet potato and cheese rice cake weren't for me, off texture. I like the rod and barbell shaped ones best. Lance (?) started waiting on us, but the entire staff came by our table to check up on and us make sure we were good. I got my fill of enoki mushrooms, rice cake and watermelon. The king mushrooms and beech mushrooms were good as well. The crab fish balls didn't taste the way I had hoped. Not my jam. The kimchi isn't too bad. Looked pretty fresh. Most of the apps and fried items were so-so, nothing was worth going back for home. The spicy chicken and chicken drums were good, so was the mala fish soup and fish cake sticks. The broth is good. Staff explained the seasoning table and how to pick our spices and seasoning. Walk you to the table for the spices and keeps you satisfied and happy during your visit. The corn cheese is gooey, simple and good. Check out at your table, hand held card readers to cash out from the table. Easy, quick and convenient.

Yelp
Pretty cool experience, and really nice to see Korean street food landing in the US! We went for lunch, which is $20/pp. Beware that the menu says beverages are included, but they aren't. Only water is free. We asked when we got there and they said they would not honor it. My dad loved the odeng and the odeng soup! The had a larger variety of fish balls, rice cakes, and veggies. The AYCE also includes the hot bar which consists of KFC, fries, onion rings, gyoza, and tempura. We used mala powder as our base, which was pretty good, but our dukbokki base kept turning out sweet and we couldn't figure out if it was from the powder or the soup base. We would have preferred minimal sweetness and amped up spice, but nonetheless, it was a good experience for lunch! FYI: The cheese ball dukbokki has sweet corn and cheese in it and was my favorite! Flavor explosion!

Yelp
This place was pretty good! You have to try it once! I enjoy the variety. It reminds me of shabu shabu but in topokki version. The service was good and I really love vegetables so I got so many servings of it. Overall large space and didn't have to wait in line. Clean and overall good vibes

Yelp
Overall this place is a fun new experience to try with a group of family and or friends. The place is well spaced out and the staff were very friendly. They explained how the process worked and gave some nice suggestions on what seasonings to use. As with anything that is family style for a restaurant, they only give you one large bowl to cook the food in so you have to be on the same page about what flavors and spice level your table wants. I went opening weekend when it was so busy! We had to sign up early on Sunday to even get a dinner reservation. The food was pretty good, but be warned it's a lot of fried and carb heavy foods so you do fill up fast! Would I go again? Probably not for awhile since it's so carb heavy, but I definitely recommend trying out the place at least once! There aren't many places in Michigan you can get Korean street food and all you can eat at that!

Justine D.

Yelp
Great food and value, plus a hard to find concept even in Southern California, where I was visiting from. Service was excellent. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here. I would go back again. I loved that it's kind of a buffet. I liked being able to try different things. If you do the soup thing though just be thoughtful of what you put in/make because it's a lot to eat if you mess it up. I like the side dishes you can get, the kimchi, the pickled radishes, rice, seaweed, fruit, etc. Ambiance is nice and the service seemed good.

Mary L.

Yelp
First time trying Korean style. Not enough variety. A little costly but not too overpriced. Each table only has one grill so your party eats the same food. I didn't think food tasted that great. Some of the dishes undercooked like the seafood pancake. This place needs to really up their game if they want to stay around otherwise just known as a novelty place for non Asians. It would be better if it was 100% halal. Server was very patient and explained everything well
google avatar

Stacia G.

Yelp
Lots of selection and lots of seafood so if you aren't a fan... service was a bit awkward. Almost apologetic at times. Had an interesting array of food other to put in soup and also eat. I've been to better so... it wasn't awful and ....
google avatar

Aminah K.

Yelp
Had a great experience here! They have all you can eat hot pot. It's family style where you share one pot with your table. You choose dry spices to make your sauce and then choose all your toppings. They also have a buffet of fried chicken and other items. I appreciated the halal options.

Yelp
This location used to belong to Pizzapolollis, so sad it is gone, it was a family favorite. I heard about this place all over social media, so I was excited to try it. I was going to give a three, but it is more of a 2.5, and for many reasons, I will give it a two for now, but I am willing to come back. I like the concept but immediately was turned off by only having one hot bowl per table. The server explained that it is family style, like other restaurants in Korea she went to. I do appreciate that and do not mind family style, but this really limits me and my family for many reasons. It was truly a good thing I only came with one child who like myself, is not as picky with a communal pot and it easy going when it comes to food selection. If they continue to only allow one pot, I would only be able to come with one child at a time, and never come with my husband. She also explained everything too quickly, including the cooking method and times and also greatly underestimated how much broth should go in the bowl. The also explained we only get three bowl changes. That is fine, but if I am paying per person, why does each person not get a bowl? We went during lunch, thank goodness, but honestly, we did not eat $40 worth of food with one bowl then one $2 pack of ramen. And while she was a very kind, attentive, and personable server, it was not quite worth it. We were quickly taken to the powder area. I think each person should be able to pick their own powder combo or have more explanation of the flavors of the powder and not just spice levels. I did enjoy what we got, but I am not sure it would have been what my child would have picked. I picked out some shrimp, seafood mix, and rice cakes, and a bit of vegetables, which comprised of mostly mushrooms. It said there was beef there, but it was empty. And the variety of veggies was not very diverse outside of mushrooms. If my husband had been here, he would not have been able to eat, especially if we had to share a pot. She does not eat seafood or mushrooms and would have had absolutely nothing to eat. We poured the food and powder into the pot to cook and the server put so little broth, it would not have actually cooked even though I asked her several times and she insisted it would. I had to pour a lot more broth into the pot. We went to the buffet area. I did love all of the choices of chicken and different dishes, but they were all completely mislabeled, so I did not know what I was eating. I did enjoy them, but again, my husband does not eat all ingredients, and would not have been able to decipher what he could from what was available versus what the labels. The one bowl we ate was fairly tasty and so were the sides. We also eat ate one piece of watermelon and one slice of orange. But to be honest, there should be some sort of small dessert like at other comparable places. My child also wanted to try to do a ramen packet. The server put in such little water and again insisted it would cook the ramen. It indeed did not. In fact, I had to try to add a lot of water and it still all absorbed, made the noodles too al dente, and burned the bottom of the pot. Plus we were not instructed on how to work the heat so I could not control the cooking. And we are a ramen family, I have cooked hundreds of packets, this was the least successful ever and came out wrong, so I spent all of that money for a bad batch of noodles. My child also had a smoothie which was good, but it was more of a milkshake and not a smoothie. I also did not internet snooping. Other locations seemed to allow tables to have multiple pots and not just one. They also had advertised a cheese fondue which was not there. All in all, go to Kpot first if you want to have individual pots, more food, more choices, and dessert. That place is worth the cost and offers more value for your money. I will probably try this place again but be more insistent in having a pot per person and put more broth into the pots.

Yelp
It was our first time coming to a "hot pot" style restaurant, and we were really looking forward to it! My husband wasn't sure if he'd like the topokki texture, but we built a bowl together. We went with their non-spicy sauce suggestion, and it was pretty good, but lacking salt. We really liked the other food options that come with the all you can eat price. Our server was extremely kind and helpful with explaining the process. We constantly had people checking up on us to make sure we were cooking everything and enjoying everything. Once we finished our first pot, we opted to change to a different sauce. We went one level up with spice and it was so much tastier! It was a bit spicy for me, but it was a lot more flavorful than our original sauce. My husband decided the topokki texture wasn't his favorite and he preferred other food options. I really liked the Kimbap and the topokki! It was a great experience overall, and I think we're more comfortable going to more hotpot places now.

Yelp
This place is great. It's a buffet style and there are many different options to choose from. A lot of rice cake variety which makes this place unique. The only thing was there was not too many meat options, but this place is great for a vegetarian and veggie options! The service is fast since it's self service. The inside is decent and a good amount of seating .

Yelp
Great concept, poor execution. I like the idea of this place but it just didn't hit. First, the broth is like create your own. With dry spice mixtures. They have recommendations but it just didn't hit. We ordered drinks at the start of our meal and didn't get our lemonade until the very end and never got our coke. The hot food on the bar seemed old and a lot of the tags didn't match what was actually on the bar. Honestly, I really wanted to like this place but if you are looking for something similar level of quality as k pot or some of the other amazing Asian food in Madison heights area you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Soo good just go here and have the experience and super yummy food.. highly recommend

Yelp
Witch Topokki in Troy is an absolute gem! The service is always stellar--everyone is friendly, attentive, and quick to help. I love how many great food options they offer, especially the ability to choose your spice level so everyone can enjoy their perfect heat. Their ramen and add-on options make the meals super customizable, and it's such a fun, delicious spot that accommodates all ages. Whether you're craving comfort food or trying something new, Witch Topokki never disappoints!

Yelp
Congratulations on your opening. Love the concept! Michigan needs more asian restaurants. Went opening day! Thank God for voucher because I don't think i would pay over 25.00. Per person. By 4:30 they ran out of meat As well as ice cream. But they didn't mention it to us until I asked. It says korean street food. So they had fried chicken and o' deng and fried veggies. and French fries. Would've been nice if they had more variety of korean street food like soondae or hodduk or even korean pancake aka boocheengae. They were all Salty! Minus the fried sweet potato carrot . The sauces were pretty good. Variety of it . We tried the original ddukboki and the rose sauce. SERVICE was good for first day. Friendly. They just need a bit more training. As in communication. Saw the owners sitting and drinking alcohol and eating and started to work right after for busy dinner time. I really wish they had more than one burner per table that fits 4. They said they can change the base/soup upto 3 times. But that would mean 4 people would have to wait for the others to make/boil what they want to eat. Unless they agree to eat the same. Would I go here again? Not for that price.

Ashley O.

Yelp
This place has excellent service and is a great place for a date night. Very similar to the concept of hotpot, but instead, the intent is to let your sauce thicken and for everything to settle down together. Yummy flavors and a fun activity to do with friends, a partner, or even family!

Yelp
We happened to drive by and check them out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful explaining the whole process and helpful with letting me know what was gluten free and what wasn't. Our waiter helped us mix our spices so they weren't too hot for my 6 yr old and 18 month old. My 6 year old daughter had fun picking out all the rice cakes, mussels, huge shrimp, meat, etc for our bowl and then we did a walk around the rest of the buffet area and gathered more goodies for everyone to try. When we arrived back to our table our waiter had the broth going and added everything for us to cook. It wasn't like a soup but more of a sauce. I think if you wanted a soup you could make it too since it's all you can eat. There was also a really good corn and cheese dish there. We all enjoyed the food. It was a delicious and fun experience. I mentioned maybe adding changing tables in the bathrooms to help since it was hard trying to change my son and they were very friendly and open to letting their manager know and getting them in. I definitely recommend checking them out! They had a very K pop feel and very cool decor with lots of screens playing Korean pop music. It was definitely worth the experience and I didn't even know until later they had a cool bar area and drink menu. Very neat place.

Yelp
The food and service is great. The place is more street food than big plates so it might not be your taste if you want more like kbbq. The ambiance is nice during the lunch time when I had went.

Yelp
The food was tasty and customer service was good . The atmosphere was nice and friendly. The staff was polite and nice so Overall 9/10 would go back.

Yelp
first time going it was so good! i loved that you could customize your base and, they have so many different options for what you can add in. The cheese corn rice cakes were my favorite and the sliced sausage was super flavorful. I also loved the other buffet style meal options they had. The spicy pork was my favorite. if you love an all you can eat hot pot style place i totally recommend this place. The service was great too, everyone is super friendly and accommodating!

April B.

Yelp
really nice place! a lil small but very nice. the service was good we had three waiters the first two showed us how to do it. They were honestly so nice and helpful.they made the whole experience way better.the last waiter was rushing us and we had to leave 40 minutes early. The food was so good i loved it so much. i absolutely stuffed myself. the food was amazing and for the price way better than anything else near me. it would have been 5 stars but we left early so only four star.

Yelp
To start off this review with 2 main warnings. 1 this is a LONG review and 2 This place is not just like KPOT. I repeat this is not the same as KPOT. It has similarities but it's different ! The table me and my hubby had we shared one pot that we had put broth in (just alittle bit) then went up to the bar and got the dry seasoning. Added that to the broth, while that was starting to boil we went back up and picked our veggies and the few meat the had (there are not that many meat) I'm ok with that but someone who likes hot pot expects alot of different meats. There are alot of rice cakes though. We then sat down and added the meat to the broth for 2 minutes then the veggies and ramen to it. I went back to the bar and got the other food that was up there like the chicken wings and etc. There were a good choice of items to pick of appetizers like items. the pot ee create was really rich in flavor and the whole set up was interesting and unique. I will most certainly be coming back again.

Manager came to my table demanding that I pay for food although I made it clear that I wasnt eating ANYTHING, and I told the server that when I walked in the door. The server was ok with this and proceeded to seat myself and my daughter. Later, the manager came demanding payment and told me that if I weren't eating, I needed to go wait in the car. I informed him that there was no way that I was leaving my child inside the restaurant to eat alone. Who does that? I was pissed and decided right then that they dont deserve a dime of my hard earned money going forward. The manager ruined the visit and experience for both of us even though I didnt eat. Do better!

Yelp
The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is great. The experience is very fun. I have been 2 times now cant wait to go again. John is always very friendly and makes sure we are taken care of. If you don't like the food then you just don't like Korean food. Reasonable price as well.

Yelp
First time there and food was not as expected and I can't eat anything or didn't have any that I could eat. shared a birthday event with my daughter and will never be back. Didn't see the post of paying for anyone at table beca I was a first timer and the host said nothing to me. Asked to not charged me and refused. No owner available

Yelp
Interesting semi-self serve Korean-esque concept. Not necessarily 100% authentic, but close enough. For those who like spicy, you can easily add spicy to your individual bowl. Very informative and friendly staff. This requires a few visits before figuring out how best to assemble your plates. Plus we watched a few Korean guests and got ideas from them.

Yelp
Such a fun and delicious concept! My partner and I came by for dinner and we were seated with the nicest server who explained the restaurant concept to us. We had a nice time eating, talking, and cooking our meal. I will warn and suggest you don't pile on food in the beginning and try a small amount of rice cakes and seasoning mixes to see what you like first. The guy in the front warned me about it, but my buffet eyes got the best of me and I piled on an insane amount of rice cakes that I was too full to try other things. I definitely plan to go back more strategically next time! Overall, a great vibe, reasonable prices, and happy to have this option here!

Yelp
They are doing a soft opening right now so we didn't see any meat. The food was great and the broth flavoring options are very nice. Service was great and quick. I can't wait to have this be a regular spot after the full opening April 11th. Great place to hangout with friends, great music playing.

Yelp
We visited on Easter Day during a slow hour, so I expected everything to be well-stocked and fresh--but that wasn't the case. For $25.95 per person, the food selection was disappointing. Many of the stations were half empty or looked unappetizing, especially the rice cakes and vegetable section. The odeng area only had lukewarm broth with no fish cakes. I asked the staff, and they said they'd refill it, but it stayed empty the entire time. Same with the green onions--completely gone, even though they're essential for tteokbokki. Only one type of tteokbokki can be cooked at a time per table, which was frustrating since I enjoy spicy tteokbokki, but my son can't eat spicy food. We had to take turns, and it really limited our experience. At most all-you-can-eat places, kids his age don't pay full price--but here, he was charged the same as an adult. And yet, all he could eat were cold fried chicken and fries. There just wasn't much for him to enjoy, and honestly, I regret bringing a child who doesn't eat tteokbokki to a tteokbokki-focused place. That's on me--but still, it didn't feel fair for what we paid. We ended up eating barely anything and still paid almost $100 for three people. The staff didn't seem very knowledgeable about tteokbokki, and overall, the whole experience felt unprepared and underwhelming. If you're not going with someone who shares the exact same taste, or if you have kids who don't eat spicy food, I'd think twice. You're probably better off grabbing ingredients at H Mart and making it at home for a quarter of the price. I was excited to try a new tteokbokki spot--but I left disappointed.

Yelp
Very poor experience in this newly opened restaurant. Our family went to this restaurant for dinner right before Mother's day. We waited for an hour to get a table. After we sat down, no server showed up. There were 2 stainless water bottles with no labels sitting on the table. We thought it was water and drank it. It was broth for the pot! The server did not explain well how the food was served. The server did not come to our table when the pot was dried up and more broth should be provided. No prompt water refill either. The server did not come to our table to remove the used plates and bowls as often as it should be. At the end, we were unable to find the server when we wanted to get our bill. We had to walk to the front to pay. The server also did not make me aware that ice cream was available to customers. It was a very confusing, disappointing, and bad dining experience, especially for our special Mother's day dinner. The food selection was very limited. There was only one kind of sliced meat which was very fatty and poor quality beef. Basically, they have different dry seasoning mix for you to add broth into it and then boil rice cake, noodles, vegetable, meat... lots of carbs. Just like eating ramen with more stuffs. Another concern was that it was not clean. The plates on the buffet table were wet. The water cups on our table had water inside before we used them. Don't know if they were washed and dried properly. I have never seen a restaurant as disorganized and unprofessional as this one. This is my first and last visit to this restaurant because of poor service and limited food selection. Do not recommend it.

Yelp
First time here, and first time experiencing topokki, something ad a cook I'm not familiar with. The whole place is amazing. Pork Bulgogi was excellent. They do have different heat levels, however if you are like me and have a low spice tolerance, go for Rose, Snow White, and Curry. Those three are like a chicken base but oh sooo good. Service is exemplary. Being a newbie, having the help and guide through is a big help. If you can as for help. Staff is more than willing to assist in every aspect. Food is also amazing. Very good, did think I would be stuffed after eating here but WOW! Overall come here to Witch Topokki. Its well worth the price and then some.

Yelp
Attended the soft opening of the establishment and they did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. I had topokki before, but never AYCE topokki, so we had to have a run down on how it work with the powders for the sauce and toppings at the bar. Nice little appetizers selection as well at the hot food bar. Patrons were casually dressed with K-pop music blasting over the speakers and on the video screens too. My only negative takes would be a couple items on the hot food bar were room temperature to cold and the fried chicken were a little bit on the salty side. Other than that, had a good first experience and would definitely return with friends and family again.

Yelp
this was honestly a great experience. food was great. raw ingredients seemed fresh and cooked dishes were good. the sweet potato rice cakes were our favs. servers were friendly and helpful in explaining how things work. Owner or manager greeted us and offered "complimentary" corn dish, but what's complimentary if it's ayce. spacious and comfortable booths to seat. defo recommend!

Yelp
I have been back several times and everything is amazing!! Food, service, and overall vibes get A+ from me. Munni usually takes care of us. She is super attentive and will walk you through every single step. Special shoutouts to Irwin and Bao!! Even on Mother's Day, we got super quick service and the food bar was well stocked.

Yelp
Food is good. Would have preferred own hot pots. If you don't like choices others make you have to take turns on hot pots. Table near had this terrible blower blowing down on you. It was annoying. Had to move.

Yelp
Went before they were officially open and had an amazing experience! Really cool concept and the staff is always helpful, friendly and able to explain everything if you have questions. Lots of options to try between the topokki and the already made food! Keep it up!

Yelp
I first went to this witch's place to eat, I felt very disappointed, because the food was not good, and my daughter was not yet 3 years old but they charged the price, I think it's not worth it for me to come back here again, because I go to restaurants like K pot or Fuji that are better than this place, they also don't charge my children under 3years old

Yelp
This is a fantastic place to eat. Staff is nice and explains everything. There is enough other food to really be interesting and delicious!

Yelp
This place was ridiculously price, and the food was gross. The items at the buffet was labeled wrong and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way I would never go there again
