Great experience. Beth was our server and she was very professional, courteous, prompt and very friendly. It made our good experience even greater. I had a flight of their various beers and Nashville chicken Mac. It was all very excellent. I will be coming back. 5/5 recommend.

Even though I’m originally from South Lyon, it took me ages to make it over to Witch’s Hat and I’m glad I finally did. Friendly and attentive service, an expansive food menu, great beers (and ciders!) and a cozy space to hang out with my family while we were visiting.

Google
The server we had was amazing. Olivia you are awesome! We had a party of seven adults and five kids and she took excellent care of us. The atmosphere was nice, it definitely can be a place to eat dinner with the kids, or a nice place to just grab a beer. The food was pricey but excellent, even the kids menu was delicious but again pricey 11$ for chicken and waffles( the kids clean their plates) the burgers are amazing. They had a few mocktails and a great mead. I believe it was called giggle juice the beer was excellent according to my brother-in-law who loves beer ( I do not) I would definitely give this place a chance if you're in South Lyon.

Google
I have only tried the fruity beers so far but they are great. Dom, the bartender, also did a good job. The food, that other patrons ordered, looks and smells great. I can't wait to come back and try the cider and food!

Google
Pretzels were bland but were served with a great cheese sauce and mustard to cover for it. Grilled cheese was delicious and reasonably priced. Chicken and waffle was lackluster for a $20 entree. Chili had great taste but was only 3/4 full, perhaps because I added it to the entree instead of the $6 cup by itself? Quite a few menu items seem to be expensive just for the sake of it, I'm not particularly interested in trying a $24 order of fish and chips. Service was great, which was a welcome change from previous years.

Google
Excellent beer selection! Off the beaten path, only wish I could get the beer elsewhere. Love it!

Google
Just adequate is the best I can say. My girlfriend and I did a flight each, and we really only liked 3 out of the 10. Some of the beers just didn't taste like what was stated on the menu. We had food as well. Loved the Mac n cheese! The wings however were lacking in flavor, dry, and over priced. Highlight of the visit was the service. Our waitress was phenomenal. Would go back if we're in the area, but my expectations have been lowered.

Google
Witch's Hat was an excellent experience overall. The beer selection is outstanding. All the ones we tried tasted fantastic. They do a great job, especially with their sour beer. The food was delicious, particularly for a place that specializes in beer. The Bacon Jam burger was cooked perfectly. I usually don't care for fries, but their fries are fresh and hand cut. They were fantastic. The spelt pretzel was awesome. I'm a big fan of Ezekiel bread and thought they did a great job with that pretzel. The fried goat cheese was probably the best item we tried. It was amazing. The apple cobbler was excellent. It reminded me of holiday family gatherings. My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow at times, especially toward the end of the meal. I understand that the restaurant industry is having trouble staffing enough people, so it isn't a huge deal. One of the employees apologized to me several times about the service. The fact that she acknowledged it was nice and made a huge difference. I would definitely drive the hour to Witch's Hat again. We enjoyed our time.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the beer is amazing, the staff does a great job and it's fun to have a gorgeous mug in the wall!

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our monthly motorcycle meetup. Lots of space especially during the summer with outdoor seating. We have come here just the two of us with our pup too. Dog friendly patio is a plus! Witch's Hat Brewing Company has a good selection of beers, meads, and ciders. I love the giggle juice and the blueberry bumble. The giggle juice is strong so adding it to a seltzer like the blueberry bumble makes it last a little longer. There is a good selection of food. My husband ordered the birra elote deconstructed bowl and I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with an extra patty. I opted for no bun with sweet potato fries. So good! The burger is made smashed style with caramelized onions with the mushrooms. The sweet potato fries come with a thousand island type sauce. Yum! The service is always great. Our waitress was so nice, attentive, and did a great job with our party of 15.

Yelp
The food and beer were good, but this is about a specific incident that just happened. We have a reactive dog that we are currently working with training. In the mean time what we do when we go out for food occasionally is leave her in the car to minimize the amount to react to. We leave her in with food and water, and start the car up to keep it conditioned for her. We were on our way back from a training course and thought it might be fun to grab some food and drink quick at Witch's Hat. While we were eating someone called the cops on us because they saw the dog in the car. I'd rather they had a conversation with us, and we could have explained the situation, but such is life. The reason that I'm writing this one star review is that someone from Witch's Hat came out and informed us that the cops had been called. We tried explaining the situation and he immediately said "I walked by the car and it wasn't running" and then kept informing us that it was a dog-friendly patio. I love that the patio is dog friendly, but our reactive dog shouldn't be out on the patio currently and was being treated well. The fact that a person that works at the establishment refused to ask questions and immediately assumed poor intention makes it so that I will never be returning to Witch's Hat in the future. All he had to do was ask a single question (similar to the people that called the police in the first place). But again, such is life, and I will be enjoying beer and food elsewhere and continuing to train and love on my dog in the ways that work best for us.

Yelp
It's been 8 years since my first review and WHB has since become a staple stop-off on those weekend afternoons when I'm looking for a relaxing spot for a pint. Service is always friendly and I have a few favorite pours that are well enjoyed with a snack. Most recently I tried their Hatsmash burger that came with a stack of thick handcut fries... definitely recommended.

Yelp

They offer compostable 6 and 4-pack rings made from spent grain, and The Hat's taproom uses exclusively eco-friendly compostable products. They have a company wide composting and recycling program; and team diverts hundreds of pounds of food and packaging waste from the landfill to composting and recycling facilities every week . Yelp
Came up here on Saturday at noon to meet up with an old buddy. This is his go to spot for drinks, so had to give the place a try. One thing I liked was the fact that they will let you sample the beer - which I did because I wasn't sure which one to get... after trying four different samples, went with OWLS. I didn't even ask if I could sample them, the server asked if I wanted to sample them to see if I liked them or not before I ordered! Friendly and helpful staff from front of the house to the back. I'm giving four stars because of friendly staff members. The bar is located in the back with main seating area, loved that we got seated right away, so that was nice. As for the foods goes - it's ok, not the greatest food, but not bad either. Had the Carne Asada fries to start out with, then ordered the fish and chips. I loved the fries, as it's freshly made as I'm told. I was disappointed with the Carne Asada fries, as I was expecting strips of sliced beef, but it was topped with ground beef. The fish and chips was decent as well, was NOT a fan of the pickle aioli, everyday tartar sauce would been perfect! Definitely place to visit to try their beer offering, the food is decent, but come for the beers :)

Jim R.

Yelp
Saturday afternoon visit. Had been here once before and wasn't impressed and decided to try again. Still not impressed. What we liked: * Good variety of beers. *Immediate seating. * Hostess was great, good interaction. * Waitress was beyond friendly- Disney friendly and helpful. What could be better: * Chicken strips were ok however came with fries that were room temperature at best. * The tacos were beyond disappointing- 4 little tacos with a basic beef broth. For the price they were underwhelming. * Their amber beer just wasn't good, I realize beer is incredibly subjective. Ambers are my go to and this was just to hoppy for an amber. Overall two visits and we want to like the place. However the food has not delivered.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a late lunch and had a really nice meal! I came here with my friend who is a local and literally lives walking distance from here. She is not as adventurous an eater as I am, but I successfully convinced her to give it a try. We were able to get seated inside right away. They have a really cool atmosphere inside, and some awesome indoor/outdoor seating for whatever the weather dictates or whatever you're feeling. I loved the tables inside with the bottle-cap tops. Even though we got seated right away though, the service was extremely slow. Our lunch dragged on a lot longer than we had hoped it would. Not sure if they were understaffed, and I understand if that's the case. But this is just something to consider, maybe plan on staying a little longer than anticipated. I got the Mexican prime rib sandwich. I liked the taste of it a lot, I just thought they were a little skimpy on the meat. My coworker got the strawberry spinach salad that was on special. She was delighted with this. I think she'll be back, and I'd definitely love to come back next time I'm in the area!

Diane B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere knowledgeable wait staff friendly and helpful love eating on the outside porch overlooking all the sunflowers - the PB wings were very expensive $20 for 8 wings and not as good as last time we were there - hubby enjoys the beers and everything else we have had there was delicious - have gone several times when we visit the area and would recommend - dog friendly patio

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Had the Birria tacos. Really great flavor. Also had the elote wings and those were equally as good. Service was excellent. Great place to sit and have some beers and good food. Def will be back.

Don J.

Yelp
Great tap room with colorful mugs covering most of the walls and ceilings above the bar. Flight of five is a fun way to sample the many different styles of beer they make. If you haven't had their flagship Train Hopper IPA, don't leave it off your draft card. Deflowered is a wonderful example of the Northeast hazy IPA style. Pumpkin porter, a seasonal beer, had just enough of a hint of pumpkin to make it enjoyable and not obnoxious. Strawberry rhubarb was more sweet than sour, but not a total disappointment. Absolutely loved the cup of jalapeño corn chowder, which delivered two kinds of warmth, and regretted not ordering the bowl for $2 more. Totally worth a side trip from Ann Arbor (maybe 1 hour round trip). This place makes it a pleasure to drink local!

Yelp
I came to visit my cousin who lives nearby we came for an amazing lunch. My cousins ordered beet salad they loved. I ordered a burger and fries they were out standing burger cooked perfectly and fries homemade. The staff was amazing answering questions all food came quickly. And for me there is one more perk. They use compostable products to save your food to go home. It's comfortable seating. And outdoor in the summer. I will return. Everything is homemade great food stop by.

Matthew M.

Yelp
The Don Burger was the best burger I've had in quite some time. Service was excellent. Fries were crispy and delicious. Beer was good, had a flight with a lot of variety. Pretzels were a little overcooked. Food came out very quickly and everything was efficient.

Yelp
So this should be more of a 3-star review but I'm preemptively giving them 4 stars. We went here yesterday with two of my boyfriend's friends who live in South Lyon and whom frequent the Hat, as they call it. This was my first time there. The Hat was hosting drag queen bingo, and as a result, our server wasn't really available for us ... We literally had four different people bringing us things, none of whom were super reliable. (For example: no one could find our check at the end, either, so we had to list off everything we had purchased...) That being said: the food was excellent. Probably 5/5 from me - we had the special, the Reuben pickle wonton rolls, which was amazing, especially with the 1000 Island sauce, and my entree, the chicken and waffles, was also good, with a huge portion (it also came with fries). Our friends got the Mac and cheese with Nashville hot chicken and it arrived with regular chicken instead, so the restaurant brought some hot sauce for them. We ordered another round of the pickles and they brought the wrong ones (the regular pickle and cream cheese wonton rolls) but did correct it. Drinks were also very good, my favorite being "Dames and the Giant Peach," which tasted more like cider than a sour beer. You're also allowed to taste anything you want before buying, I had two stouts I tasted but didn't really like. My boyfriend bought a few beers to take home as well and the cashier asked him how our dinner was and if anything could have been better. He kind of was like, oh, it was okay... And the cashier was like, yeah, I know service could have been better tonight, sorry about that. One of the beers was $10 per can because it's a specialty of theirs, and the cashier ended up comping him one of the two cans he bought in order to make up for the service, which I thought was a nice gesture. So yes, this review would have been three stars out of five but my boyfriend's friends said that this type of service was very unusual for them, so I'm preemptively giving the Hat four stars.

Judi C.

Yelp
Staff was totally amazing. Food was great too. The Prices on drinks was a bit much at $12 & $18 a glass. And the manager just so so but i believe he was fairly new at the game. Cause he forget Customer is Always Right and it was so simple, just about seating for 50 folk. We had a great time, but we are professional people that pay well to have a fun evening.

Dawn V.

Yelp
Very very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful salads here! I never expect mush from the kitchen of breweries beyond giant pretzels and burgers, and salads are an afterthought on way too many menus in general. I ordered the Blueberry Lemonade salad (large size $10) (comes with their Blueberry lemonade Gose dressing!) with blackened salmon (add $10) and it was well worth the $20! The salmon piece was large enough for lunch the next day and the salad is full of giant plump blueberries (see pic)- really good. Also tried the Blueberry Lemonade Gose- how could I not pair that with this salad ? Wonderful!

Yelp
Happened to stumble upon this hidden gem, and loved it! Great brew selection , and the food was great to boot! Will be back in the future!!

Kristyn C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!!! We've been doing mostly take out, so it is fantastic that the food is hot, ready and extremely flavorful when we get it!

Yelp
The Witch's Hat Brewing Company was much more then I could have excepted. The outside appearance was deceiving to say the least. Upon entertaining this spacious out of doors restaurant you are surrounded by large windows, large cooking area, a giant menu on the wall and spirits all around. Come make your way through the hallway and then you are dining in a open space with an amazing bar. The walls are lined with beer mugs from everywhere and anywhere. This magical moment in time just keeps going. As you walk through the open dining area more doors open to this incredible outdoor like secret garden hideaway. The waitress was amazingly friendly and offered us a simple food & liquor menus. She came back and we ordered an appetizers and drinks. Did I mention she took a party of 5 complete dinner order verbally! PERFECT! Say hello to her if you stop in The drinks were delightful! The Spent Grain Pretzels were so warm and tasty and the melt in your mouth Wonton Fried Pickles exciting and blissful. Also as a meal the fish and chips were ordered with fries and a side of coleslaw. The presentation was perfect and flavor was memorable. The Hat Burger was fetchin too. So delicious and flavorable and cooked to order PERFECT! I just love all of the bar and table ware in this restaurant. OMG....we had an amazing time visiting this hidden restaurant. The prices were right on and for the entire experience was flawless. Thank you for a unique, remarkable customer experience and kudos to the manager and staff. Calling all foodies to stop by and check this place out!

Andy D.

Yelp
Great stop on a beautiful night of motorcycle riding. I'd driven by many times but hadn't stopped in and man am I glad I did. Rochelle was amazing as a server. I chose the Fish and Chips and it did not disappoint, honestly the best I've had in the area. Great new place I'll definitely be back.

Jill H.

Yelp
New and improved fish and chips are amazing! Lightly battered, perfectly fried (not greasy or heavily fried). Hand cut fries actually taste like potatoes and also not greasy. Basically, you can enjoy a full plate of fried food and not feel awful for eating it...and it's the best around. I still stand by the fried pickle wontons as a perfect and unique appetizeer. Would be good if they added something even lighter to the menu like chips and dip or popcorn for some salty grazing options.

Yelp
We visited witches hat on a Thursday afternoon around 4pm. We had our 2.5 year old and our newborn with us and were hesitant but mom and dad needed to get out. We were seated very quickly and attended to by our waitress within minutes. She got our drink orders in quickly and even was an absolute saint when our toddler decided she no longer wanted the white milk she ordered, instead wanted chocolate milk. Our food orders were placed and food did not take long at all to be brought out. For appetizer we had the spinach dip and then our meals were the Santa Fe wrap for myself, hot chicken sandwich for my husband and of course chicken tenders and fries for the toddler. Everything was phenomenal! My husband inhaled his sandwich in about 5 minutes raving every bite. Our beers were fantastic too. But what made it top was our waitress! I wish I could remember her name but she was just so kind, so attentive and just made the whole experience so pleasant. We already are nervous enough heading out into public with our crew but her service and her caring nature made us feel so at ease and secured the idea of a return trip! Thank you!!

Ruth P.

Yelp
Just finished our trip through Michigan, east coast, west coast, and the UP. We hit a lot of breweries and Witches Hat was by far the best! Tried ten different beers and couldn't pick a favorite. Food was top-notch as well. It was our first time here, but definitely won't be our last. ‍

Sara C.

Yelp
Our server was fantastic! Very attentive and did a fantastic job of taking care of our rather large party. Went here to celebrate during a Bachelorette party. Everyone had a fantastic time. Appetizers were fabulous. Mom paid for everyone's appetizers and those that wanted a full meal were able to get something more substantial if they wanted (we already had dinner before going out for the night). The food, service and ambiance of this place was fantastic for our party. Everyone had a great time and commented on how great the food was!

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Had been wanting to check them out for a while, but it's a bit of a drive. Finally went for it, and so glad I did. I dragged my mom along with me and we were both really impressed. The beers we had were great - I'm in love with the bats in the belfry. I tried 2 sours because I couldn't resist and they were great. Each of our first choices for dinner was sold out, but that just goes to show how popular they are. It was fine because even with that there was still plenty of other delicious things to choose from. Our food was great. Mom got fish and chips, I got the port tenderloin and a cup of their jalapeño corn chowder. So good. All of it. It's definitely worth the drive.

Ally H.

Yelp
Our go to/favorite place in SL! So good and they have dog entrees. Couldn't get better!

Corbin O.

Yelp
Service was very very very slow, and the place was empty. Food is overpriced and blah. Everyone is scared of covid in there as well. Skip this and go somewhere else.

Rachel G.

Yelp
One of my biggest fears is going somewhere afraid to eat because of my shellfish allergies and knowing that most places I go the server/ bartender don't have any clue what's on their menu nor has any idea what shellfish is On Sunday at this establishment I told the young man in the outdoor carry out window to please tell the kitchen staff to not handle shellfish while preparing my food. His answer: We don't serve that here. But I read the menu?? and YEP they do serve shellfish!! I had to explain to the server/ bartender what shrimp is. This should be basic 101 training, learn your menu. Do owners and staff not care that this one mistake could have killed a guest? Learn the items on your menu and know the dangers of food allergies. If it wasn't for me telling this young man that there is shellfish on the menu he would have never known. So with that said if you have allergies do not assume that the staff there is well trained because they're clearly not! Pretzels appetizer was good not great and so was the blueberry lemonade

Steven S.

Yelp
2 Burgers with fires (No Cheese) a cup of soup and one coke. With tip $50. Decent burger but no where near great. A bit on the dry side. Perhaps young cooks are pressing down while cooking. At $50 I expect outstanding. What I experienced was a $25 meal. Service was decent. Pretty slow in there for a dinner hour. For me, not a place I would go back to for a meal.

Che F.

Yelp
Food and quality of food have really taken a backseat the past year or so. The Corn Chowder is nothing as I remember it. Burgers aren't really seasoned. Seems like theres a lack of innovation in the menu as well. Service hit or miss at best. The ambiance has been this places best feature. Beer is still good nonetheless. The beer definitely pays the bills.

Connor A.

Yelp
Awesome experience! The atmosphere is cozy and clean. Great attention to detail! They had the fireplace going. Handblown glass mug club glasses hanging on the walls, adds a nice touch. The service was very quick and food came out fast. The burger was great and real skin-on fries served on a wood slab. Steak bite fries were delicious and a huge portion! They have many beer varieties. We got a flight in custom tiny gold rimmed glasses. Will be back! Delicious beers I recommend: -Three Kord Kolsch -After Christmas Amber Ale -Defloured Hazy IPA -Midnight Train, smoky black IPA

Chris K.

Yelp
This place was a real delight! Nice and warm outdoor tent that is pet-friendly as advertised. Staff were super nice throughout, said hi to my pup a number of times, and made great recommendations. This place also does table QR code ordering/paying, and it worked well for us. Easy to get a flight ordered, and we also tried some of the dark options that were only available with a full pour. The beers here were excellent! Great selection of very good dark options. Add to that a really nice food list - we got some carne asada fries, which were delicious, some pretzel bites (left a bit to be desired), and some fried pickle wontons, which were very unique and tasty. With the super nice and helpful staff, this one was a big winner for us. Will certainly be back!

Yelp
My son and I had a nice experiencing eating on the patio here in September 2020. I'm not a beer connoisseur so I'll leave that review to others, although I did enjoy what I drank. As for food, it was very good. I absolutely loved the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. About 3 seconds into chewing, all the flavors came together: the sweetness of the BBQ pork, the pickling and crunch of the pickles, the slight heat from the jalapenos, and the acidity and crunch of the cole slaw. My son got the fish and chips. He liked that they were crisp on the outside, not heavy or gooey on the batter, and moist and flakey on the inside. He also raved about the fries. That being said, I do agree with another person's post (Lindsey F on 10/6/20). The organization there is very confusing. Where do you check in? Do you need to check in to sit at an open table outside? Is the inside even open? Who do I check in with? Do I do this inside? Oh, there is a sign somewhere posted? Am I in the right line? (Nope--that's the food / beer line and I still don't even have a table.) I can see how this confusion leaves guests befuddled and irritated to the point that they leave. Also, having one worker at the window who takes food orders, takes drink orders, and pours the drinks really makes the line move slowly. Then someone else brings them outside. What's wrong with a wait person doing this? The dining experience should be a familiar procedure that unfolds seamlessly for the patron.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Been coming for years. Since the other location was open. Guess I'm lucky I love in the same town. The owners are amazing. So we always tried to come support their business. Not to mention they have great beers! Now that I'm Gluten free I go for the Cider they serve. They have a regular Cider and a Hard Blueberry Cider. Both from Northville Cider Mill. I like the Blueberry best. They have some great snacks as well. Popcorn, Chips, Cheese And Sausage cups and often they have food trucks outside like sushi and Slows BBQ since they don't serve food.

Stacy E.

Yelp
Still 5 stars. The beer is amazing and so is the food. The service is lovely. You just can't beat this place. A small town business doing things right! I almost hate to post this because it will become so crowded and busy that'll it'll lose its charm.

Kerry Z.

Yelp
Beer still wonderful. Just more complicated. Added kitchen this past week. 2/2020 there is much to sort out. They have serious need to add staff....(they know) but to reduce staff needs- should do like Founders downtown....Suggest they have people order food from the same place as reception area near kitchen and get a pager to come back and pick it up. Waitresses have too long a walk to go back and forth and check if their food orders are ready. Seating has been reduced in main area to accommodate food and not community tables where people share seats. That was a bit of the fun....make new friends. Why do they need to seat people? Maybe to control total people for fire code? Would suggest less complicated menu to start. Why not just a witches hat theme. "Boiled in oil" fries. Scared to death burgers. Bat nachos. Seems like food was an effort to get families to come....but kids don't drink beer and families have kids creating a different feel to a brewery. Not first come first serve - except now opened what used to be back area as a waiting area for tables. This waiting area should just be a separate beer area with its own staff person. Maybe call it the "just beer garden"? It is like the old brewery was- seat yourself. Never really need to go into main bar area if can get beer at reception area and sit. Just need to add TV and popcorn. Suggest expanding the at the bar area into and around the hall way. It's a wide hallway with no seats now. All the mug club members waiting for a table will be a problem. Need to fix the flow. I am a mug club member and rooting for them.

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Food was horrible as was the service. Had hair in our food, ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was a chicken tender between 2 pieces of cold bread.

Virginia L.

Yelp
Yaas... Fav local brewery spot in SL! Was so impressed by this brewery because of all the beers on tap and the limited edition ones for purchase as well. Go-to beers include Train Hopper IPA, Oktoberfest, and Defloured NEIPA. The urban space itself is so cool with the unique glass mugs hung all over the wall. Best seat in house is def by bar area. Membership prices start at $50, with discounts on your drink orders. There's plenty of bar seating and tables for you and your crew. Their alternating beer menu keeps things exciting. Friendly staff to help you choose what beer to try. They'll occasionally have food trucks in the lot if you're craving something. You can also order the $2.00 unlimited fresh popcorn as well. Think they use coconut oil so it's not as greasy and def helps with the flavour. Perfect snack! Will be back again soon!

Bianca H.

Yelp
Unreal service, great scratch food , and excellent beer. Mug club member and will always come back and introduce to people to the brew.

Ashley A.

Yelp
5 stars for the server Nick because he's AMAZING but I only gave four because I miss the popcorn:( #BringthepopcornBACK

Amanda M.

Yelp
Mug club member of 2 years. I love that they name their beers after Parks and Rec slogans. The staff is very friendly and always remembers details about your life as if you are family

James J.

Yelp
Angela was knowledgeable and accommodating. Thank you for the positive experience! 5 stars

Yelp
After a previous visit that didn't have a good experience, we decided to give this brewery another shot especially to support local businesses during COVID. We called before coming in to see if there was a wait time, which the staff said no. We were seated immediately and ordered some beers. The blueberry lemonade was delicious if you like blueberry flavors (it's definitely more blueberry than lemonade). My husband ordered the blueberry pancake beer - he said this was okay but preferred mine instead. We ordered two more drinks (I can't remember the names of them). We also ordered dinner - I had the cubano sandwich. I asked for the aioli sauce to come on the side. I got the sandwich the way I wanted it, but no aioli on the side - I didn't ask the waitress for it because I normally don't like it anyways so no big deal. I was disappointed they didn't have the sweet potato fries but understanding since it's COVID and just happy to be back eating at restaurants. Fries were good just a bit dark, not burnt, just definitely cooked well done but not crispy. My husband got the steak bites with rice which he said he liked. We will come back for the food, but will have to try other beers to see if we find something we like. What was cool is they gave us our receipt and you could scan the QR code and pay right from your phone - love this convenient option!

Yelp
Food was just "okay". Beet salad was very thin on the yummy (beets, goat cheese, pecans). Cheeseburger was fine but nothing to brag about. No liquor/mixed drinks, beer only. Extensive selection of beer, however. Waitress was super friendly. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
Nice people, decent service. Their IPA's were above average. The atmosphere was pleasant. No food. A nice place to stop by on your way through.

Yelp
Great local place. Many of their beers are quite tasty. Tonight their barley wine and strawberry mango hazy IPA were especially delicious. And our server, Katie, was was wonderful - always helpful, happy. and smiling. A fun dinner

Yelp
I can't believe I took this long to rate Witch's Hat. It's really a great Brewery. I've only been here 4 or 5 times, but most of the visits have been recent. As soon as you walk into the bar area you can tell this is a special place. The darker lighting and the cool decor lead to a great ambiance... But the beer is the star!!! I'm a huge IPA fan and theirs are top notch. The defloured is too kid and the This Guy really blew my mind. Another great thing about the Brewery is that they give a free pint glass with your Yelp check-in, so don't forgot to grab one! South Lyon is a cute little town and I don't live far, so I've been trying to come once a week for a month or two. Great spot for outstanding brews and they have good beer deals for happy hour. Check them out!!!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite hangs. Great decor that just keeps getting better year by year. The vibe is relaxed and family or adult-friendly. The Hat burger is the best around: crispy, yummy edges and perfectly cooked the requested "medium". The homemade pickles are delicate and tasty, and the bun is always perfectly toasted. And the fries? Crispy with lots of of skin and perfectly seasoned. The Hat is always clean, with careful disinfection of tables after each guest has finished. Highest recommendation!

Yelp
Can't go have a beer without reservation even though a mug club member. Just go to the hotel.. food is better, service is better. Hat is bad now.. could have been good but????
