Wochenmarkt Hanau

Really nice city to visit. Very clean and well maintained. We did the Grimm search route which was fun and let's you see Hannau.

Nice in Abend and, every Wednesday and Saturday also have fresh vegetables

Visited during the Christmas Market. Friendly, fun and good food.

Very nice (a little bit expensive) weekly town market. All vegetables and fruits are very fresh. You can also find cheeses,sausages, butcher shops and fish shops. I recommend the fish sandwich,it's awesome.

One of the biggest weekly food markets in greater Frankfurt area. Usually on Saturdays. Located in the Center of Hanau surounded by lots of shops, restaurants, bistrots and bars.

A huge variety of everything. This was my most delicious salad so far, which I have cut with the vgetables bought on the market :D

A big marketplace with lots of good food such as vegetables, olives, bread etc. You can get quality goods from farmers as well as delicious cakes, bread and olives.

Hanau is the birthplace of the Grimm brothers known the world over for their fairytales. In the center of town at the Marktplatz every Wednesday and Saturday this market is held. There are about a hundred stalls selling fresh seasonal produce, meats, fish, cheeses and other eatable items. There are also a few shops for a meal when at the market. It seems to be a common activity for the locals who come and do some shopping and hang out at the many cafes and eating places at the market and spend a morning / afternoon there. It is apparently one of the biggest markets in Hessen. The shops were good, quality and selection was good and the prices very reasonable. I would come here every week if I lived in the area.

So lovely to walk around here. There's a shopping center and ice skating rink outdoors. The monument of the Grimm brothers is right in the middle located in front of a beautiful building.
