Woggy's Fish n Chips

Woggy's was unbelievable! They had the kindest owners, who gave us t shirts and hats. The food was incredible. Best fish-n-chips, fish tacos, and burritos ever. AND THE FRIES 😍 Would definitely recommend 100%. My son is super picky and he couldn't get enough of the chicken strips and fries!

Close your eyes and savor perfectly fried rockfish w cocktail sauce accompanied w delicious fries. Free lemon water. Add bacon laden clam chowder if you please. Indulgent? Add 2 slices of bacon for a dollar and coffee for $1.50. Oh and cranberry coleslaw w the fish and chips.

Incredible. Super kind people and they catch their own fish! Highly recommend the fish burrito. So flavorful! Great with food allergies too. Update: we came back the next day to get the same thing!! So so good. Blackened burrito this time, just as incredible!

When the locals recommend it, you know it's good. I had fish and chips.The batter wasn't like in the UK, but it was very light and not greasy, and probably healthier. It wasn't over salted, and it was fresh local fish. They had malt vinegar, always a plus. Quite yummy. Outside seating always nice, but could probably use more umbrellas, we were fighting over the only one with shade, but sharing a table with strangers is sometimes fun. I've started visiting more of these restaurants in trailers, they often seem to have better food than many stick and brick restaurants these days.

Honestly phenomenal fish and chips really great. Simple menu though not a whole lot other than that. As far as location, they got a decent enough spot to have the room that they need to sit there and eat. Staff is very kind. Would definitely return

The wait took a bit long, around 40 min but we got a free bowl of chili, clam chowder and free lemon water. 10/10 recommend. The fish burrito was super tasty and fresh too

Absolutely delicious. Best fish I’ve had in years. They said they caught and cleaned it literally last night! Got the fish tacos and they genuinely were the best ever. I’m also not a chowder person but the clam chowder was so delicious. Literally bought a small and had to go back for another. Definitely try this place run by the nicest couple!! Well worth the small wait.

Great food truck (trailer) with several meal choices along with the basic fish (good size) and chips (breaded) with outdoor bench seating. Down near the ocean and harbor industrial area makes it feel wide open with the breeze. A delightful and delicious experience.

The food is fantastic on this food truck. No matter what you get, it's going to be better than what you would get in any of the coastal restaurants in our area. I personally recommend their fish and chips, their fish tacos, and their shrimp tacos. That's what I order. Mostly. The slaw and the sauce that accompanies their dishes is fantastic as well and could be marketed in its own right.

We stopped for gas in Gold Beach and then asked for a lunch recommendation. Woggy's was at the top of the list and it did not disappoint. The Fish and chips, caught everyday, w/ a delicate batter and the most delicious tartar sauce made with sour cream and dill along with another home made cocktail sauce. Then coleslaw, again fresh and sweet and savory. So good. The owners are very friendly and offered for us to taste the clam chowder which was delicious, too. Not too heavy, but so flavorful. My husband got the tacos, which he said were amazing! We will stop back by on another trip through Gold Beach. You should too!

Delicious fresh fish and shrimp tacos! Fantastic fish and chips. The best we've had in a long time. Highly recommend this food. The ladies running the food truck are sweet and care about serving great food.

Okay what a very nice surprise. This was by far the best Fish and chips I have had in a long time. The fish was crisp and so fresh lasting. Coleslaw relish as well. Fries we good also... maybe could have been crisper. But honestly a great meal. I would recommend finding this place. The staff were very friendly as well. I am looking forward to returning and trying something new. But could be I would go for the fish and chips again.

Oh my goodness- in the past I have eaten fish tacos because my husband likes them- but at Woggys I went back for thirds! Grace made a recommendation for my specific diet restrictions and it was soo good! The people around me were amused as I are first lunch, second lunch and early dinner! I ordered 6 fish tacos because they were soooo delicious! I loved the grilled and the baja tacos with everything on it! We were visiting from california, even lived in San Diego known for taco tuesday and its fish tacos. San Diego fish tacos were okay- but these tacos took it to a whole new level! I had to come back again the next day and order them all over again! You wont believe this! The cook is the fisherman! His name is Ivar! He catches it and cooks it and I ate it! So fresh, so good! The locals recommended it and I am so glad we tried it! Only regret is not eating it everyday we were in the are. Grace is a sweetheart and knows everyone by name- remembers your order. Food is fresh and there is a line- because it is good- so good! My husband also had the fish and chips and clam chowder! If you like fresh fish and awesome fish tacos check it out! So affordable and so delicious. Dont take my word for it! Just try it!

A real hidden gem of a spot Head off the main road and you will find the best fish and chips in town!! Really everything is good but I always get the same. Wonderful people who make great food! Even better on a sunny day.

This establishment is a gem!! First and foremost the food is outstanding. Nothing soggy or cold. It's hot and fresh fresh fresh. We had the fish tacos, fish and chips and clam chowder. Everything was 5+ stars! We're from Monterey and we know seafood. Kudos Woggy's !!

Service was good. I had the fish and chips it was very good. I would have liked a little more spice but I know they are cooking for the general public and spice accordingly. Also be aware that it's a food truck setup with picnic tables so if you are adverse to eating outside then maybe not for you.

Our culinary exploration of the Oregon coast continues. The other afternoon we hit up a popular food truck in town called Woggy's. It was our first time trying 'em and it will definitely not be our last! They catch their fish fresh every morning, sea to table in one move, it was so flaky and perfectly battered, in fact everything we ordered was top-notch, their clam chowder was so buttery and delicious I could've drank a quart, their pommes frites were probably the best I've ever tasted, paired with their house made tartar sauce? Chef's kiss! Not to mention the coleslaw, which was definitely the best I've ever had, it had cilantro and lime in it, it was so refreshing and summery. In fact we went back the next night just to pick up some fries, tartar and coleslaw to go with the fish sammie's we were making at home, in an attempt to recreate the meal. Yum and rahr!

Well Woggy's amazes me again! Had their crabcakes for the first time. Simply amazing, every bite was like,, mmmmmmmm. That's Grace

I really thought the fish burrito was delicious, I skipped the white sauce that supposedly makes the burrito all come together. They added cocktail sauce to mine , my brother had it as it came. We both loved it, another plus was the flour tortilla wasn't thick and nasty and you had fish in every bite. The wait was worth it.

Woggy's is one of the best food experiences you'll have on the Oregon coast. First, they have the best clam chowder of all the places we tried while traveling down the Oregon and California coast. Exceptional. The Baja fish tacos were on par to what you'd experience in Baja proper itself. The owner, Ivar catches the fish himself, (and sometimes works the fryer) while his wife Grace works the front counter and grill. The fries are fresh cut and better that what you get at In-N-Out. If you're in Gold Beach, go to Woggy's, you will not regret it.

Food and service are great ambience. You can go right to the beach very close to the Port Square.

I had the clam chowder & fish tacos. It was a delicious lunch and the outdoor seat was nice as well. I wouldn't call it spectacular but was pretty delicious. The chowder was fair, but the tacos were pretty amazing!

The fish is fresh and tasty. My husband and i Enjoyed the Fish and Chip. Service is good.

Best fish & chips I have ever had!!! The fish was fresh and not over breaded or greasy. It was perfectly moist and flaky! This is a must have! They have had their business for 3 years and the husband catches everything! This is a must stop!

Fish was ok batter a bit weak, fish would break when you tried to dip. Hard to dip in the strange tasting tartar sauce & fish chowder. I would not recommend. I've had better.

Woggy's is so good, plus the guy who runs it is very nice. Best fried clams and great fish too. You will love it.

Saw all the great reviews so thought I would give this a try while in town. Had the fish tacos and chowder...wife had the fish and chips. Fish tasted bland...almost no seasoning in fish or batter. Tarter sauce was also meh. The chowder was good...but also light on flavor and seasoning. Not a horrible lunch but with all the previous yelp reviews we expected a lot more.

The fisherman who catches your fish may be cooking it. And it all happens within a day. This place is fresh af. Don't argue with me... order "FINACHOS". It's like Baja Fish Tacos over French fries and holy freaking hallelujah is it tasty! Lovely service, nice folks.... hard working fishing family... good vibes. Clean, speedy and fun. Highly recommend!

Delicious! My husband and I had heard that Woggy's had the best fish and chips (as recommended by many locals), and in our opinion the recommendations were spot on! We had the clam chowder and fish and chips and were very happy with the food. Highly recommend Woggy's!

It's been a long time since I have had fish this FRESH! When u don't smell the fish, it's ultra fresh!!! Best slaw, not too wet and just the right flavor! Fries also excellent! MUST try if you are in Gold Beach or drop by for lunch if passing through......

Really wanted to love this place based on reviews but our clam strips and fish n chips were VERY bland. While we typically follow a low salt diet for health reasons, it was like they simply forgot to add seasoning! The fries had a very very light sprinkling of seasoning but the fish was unseasoned and the clam strips tasted like I was just eating batter. Four stars for large portion size. Coleslaw was actually the best part of the meal.

WARNING*** do not get food to share, get your own portions!! This place is the BEST BEST hidden gem I've ever come across. The fish & chips are so unique and fresh. My boyfriend & I were are on a road trip to Cali and I needed fish & chips on the coast, he found this place from google after I passed on other places because I wanted to have a good fixing. Honestly we ended up getting in a bad fight over the food, not joking (didn't talk for hours after we ate). We got a portion to share of the 3 fish and chips and typically we are both really generous with sharing but something happened where we didn't want to. Fought over who was eating more and it wasn't fair lol Point is, you will want to eat it all and not share your food because it is that good. Tip: They only took cash when we were there maybe they take card now but be prepared with cash.

I've had the fish tacos, Ortega burger, cheeseburger and finachos. The burgers are great, don't hesitate. The fish tacos and finachos are good but heavy on the sauce so just ask for it on the side. The owners are very polite so please be nice and enjoy. They have a few picnic tables so if you're traveling with pets it's an option.

This seasonal food truck has great food at a fair price. They've got spice levels for every palate and everything is always fresh. Everything we've tried from fish dishes to burgers has been great and they have the best fries in town. My only negative is that they're seasonal and make me wait for 6 dreary months of fall and winter to get some of their fries! Note: they can also get backed up at busy times so calling ahead is prudent

Other food trucks/restaurants take note! This place is awesome. You can tell they care about what they make and have put thought into what makes a good meal. I always appreciate finding a spot like this. 10/10 best place in town! no pic because I ate it too fast ;)

Great small food truck, fish was fresh caught by the owner that morning. Fish and chips were some of the best I've had, lightly breaded and super flaky. We also got the calamari and chowder, both amazing!! Definitely recommend

We've been eating chowder all week at different restaurants on the southern Oregon coast and this is by far my favorite! Wonderful, fresh veggies and herbs. Absolutely delicious. Really good fish & chips as well

We highly recommend stopping here for lunch. We had the fish tacos and shrimp finnachos. They were both great. The strawberry lemonade was also perfect.

Being from out of state, I crave a good seafood lunch/dinner. And on the way south, we happened to run across this food truck called Woggy's. Now I'm very fearful of these places. But thought I'd give it a try. Very pleasantly surprised! The fish was cooked very well, lightly breaded. Moist. The fries were breaded as well giving them a great flavor. Hospitality was good! If you're rolling through Gold Beach on the southern Oregon coast, look this place up. You'll love it.

Recommended by the gas attendant at the chevron station. Wow! Best fish and chips I have ever had. Black iced tea was very good. The Baja tacos are also a very good choice. Clam chowder was something I could eat every day.
