My wife and I stopped by here while exploring Pioneer Mall since this spot is in the food court. She couldn't decide what she wanted until she saw that they had egg rolls here so she wanted to try that. I got her 2 orders of it so they gave a total of 4. I was looking through their menu and nothing stood out to me so I went and got Raising Canes instead which was cheaper. The food didn't take long to come out and they give you 2 packets of sauce for the egg rolls. The rolls here are also more bigger compare to other places we been to. My wife didn't like the egg rolls and ate 3 out of the 4. The service here was great, nothing to complain about. We sat down in one of their booth and it was pretty quiet here during lunch time.

Google
Food has some off flavors, orange chicken doesn't taste anywhere near orange, general tsos tastes like orange chicken but also not, teriyaki chicken was full of fat, and had not a sliver or teriyaki flavoring, race over cooked, and soda machine out of basically every flavor. Now my stomach hurts and will probably have to run to the restroom after just a few bites. Even the soda they did have still is light on the syrup.

Nice change of pace in this food court. Food was really awesome and tasty. Not stingy at all with enough to share. Good choices and appetizers. Highly recommend the pork buns! Just know it takes a little cause it's cooked to order so it's really fresh.

Google
Generally Chinese restaurant. They are ok. I like a Thai bubble tea. My son said Orange chicken is good, Tonkotsu ramen and vegetables noodles soup are okay. My Fung pao chicken is an average. But crews are kind and generous. I like they have vegan options.

Google
Food here is absolutely cheapest quality! We ordered orange chicken and general chicken. Rise was lowest quality and instead of serving a salad in the side we straight up had corn in our plate as I believe the side.

Google
Fried rice was so tasty. All in all we liked it. Clean and they actually use mask properly. Shumai not so much. Like store bought. But this is comforting food. Noodles was good!!

Google
The service was not good a little bit cold. Also, this place had a lot of little flies when I ate my orders. We order Taiwanese beef noodles but the noodles type is wrong. The steamed dumpling wrapper is broken, it should be frozen dumplings. The wontons taste too sweet and not spicy.

Google
Love the food here but please do a deep clean on the tables. I work locally and this place is easy for me to get to for a great lunch. The food is so tasty and the service is great. You get you food quick and it's always very fresh. Give them a try..

Yelp
I was looking for a filling meal while running errands and I ran into Wok A Holic inside of the mall. I was a little hesitant going inside the mall due to the crowd, but it wasn't that made and there wasn't a line. Once I got in, the service was great and the cook was helpful because I was a new customer. The open grill menu had lots to offer with a variety of meats and veggies. I purchased the Bourbon Chicken and Fried Rice entree. The food was flavorful and cooked to perfection! I will visit again!

Yelp
I've been watching what I eat recently and have come to miss a lot of cuisines I used to indulge in. One that I miss dearly is Chinese and the like. Particularly General Tso's and items like that. If I want items like this I have to do it at home and take extra time to find ingredients to make the food. But I was happy when I came here. I took some time to look over the menu before placing an order. You can have only too much burgers or chicken. Today, I was going to eat a bit healthier and I was in the mood for vegetables. After looking over the extensive menu I decided on the Vegetable Noodles. Once I place my order, I go over to stand around as I asked for it to go. I kind of hovered with my phone in hand and took in a show. See when you place your order it is prepared right there in an open kitchen where you can watch them piece it together. There were several orders ahead of me, but they moved so efficiently that it took no time at all for my food to reach me. When I did get my food, I was floored by the portion size and of course I was ready to dig in. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. Mix of broccoli, carrot, bamboo shoots, zucchini, green onion, and cilantro. Man, could you taste the cilantro for sure and it was a nice touch to the soup. I had so much of this soup that I was still dealing with it when others in my group had finished their food from the other spots here. I honestly loved the soup and it was a nice change that filled me up for once.

Yelp
Glad I stumbled over here. Got the Singapore noodle and it was ready quickly. It was very tart, perhaps a bit sweeter than I'm used too but still delicious. Also was fun to sit at the counter and watch the cooks at the woks. The space is very nice too. I can't remember when they upgraded the food court but it's got plenty of seating.

Emily C.

Yelp
Unsuspectingly good. Got the orange chicken chef special for ~$13 without any add ons or adjustments. It's $1 extra to upgrade the white rice to fried rice or chow mein. The food was piping hot in less than 5 minutes. Would stop again by for quick Chinese food!

Yelp
Pedestrian. Fast food Chinese that makes Panda Express look like a gourmet experience. Pot Stickers were the best element of my dining. Tasty and inexpensive, a good combo. The Lo Mein was very similar to Panda Express, too thin and a so so tasty. What do expect from a food court in a mall?!

Yelp
We were hungry and wanted to go to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers next door, but the line was too long, so we ended up coming here. Right off the bat, the cashier looked unhappy and sounded like she didn't even want to be there. As for the food... we ordered shrimp fried rice ($14.99) and coconut bubble tea ($4.99). The fried rice was so oily, the grease was seeping through the box and even through the to-go bag. The taste was OK, but I can't believe how much oil they used for this. The bubble tea wasn't very good either, it tasted so sweet (they probably used powder) and the bubbles were soft, not chewy. The drink was really unsatisfying and tasted artificial. Maybe the other food is good here? I'm not sure, but judging from the amount of oil in the fried rice, the other food is probably the same. I can't wait for Din Tai Fung to open, the quality will definitely be much better than this!

Yelp
Mediocre. They didn't have mushrooms, they were out of teriyaki sauce, and they also were out of yakisoba noodles. Like what?!? I ended up getting their orange chicken which seemed to be mostly breading. It came with white rice and what taste like canned corn, and I ordered a side of steamed veggies and was brought out a side of broccoli, that was drenched in water. I was starving and I hate wasting food so of course I ate most of my food. My friend said she gave her food an 8/10. Their calamari came out like onion rings, it was probably my least fav calamari I've ever had. The girl working the register barely spoke English and had a hard time understanding what we wanted, but she was very sweet. The fast food restaurant itself is located inside of pioneer place mall, has lots of seating, nice, and clean. I give the aesthetic of the place 5/5, but the food 3/5.

Yelp
Verryyyyy bad !!!!!!!! not tasty and disgusting I ordered orange chicken and they served me a portion with canned corn and a little rice for $13

Yelp
I love this place but please do a deep clean on your tables, they are sticky. The food is the best in the area. Very fresh and very tasty. I work in the area so it is always nice to come for some fresh Chinese food. Love coming here, it's a must try. They service is also great. They are always nice and you get your food quick.

Yelp
There is a lot of various Asian dish options here. They even have a small plates (dim sum) options for ~$5 per item. I tried the spicy pork and shrimp wontons and their scallion pancake. The scallion pancake didn't taste like it was freshly made, rather that it came from a package. The scallion pancake with 8 pieces, and a dipping sauce. It was okay. The wontons were decent. It came covered in a sauce that had a vinegary taste to it, not spicy. The wontons were topped with crispy garlic to add in some crunchy texture and cilantro and scallions.

Chee K.

Yelp
Just had the same experience as OL below with the soup. Wish I had seen the review ahead of time. I went here after finding out a legit wonton nooodle restaurant in Chinatown closed. The overcooked noodles were instant ramen style not egg noodles. The wonton fell apart and was super soggy. The broth tasted like instant chicken broth. Sad cabbage and sad me. I had a couple bites and left it. I'm sad because it's someone's business but I've never had food like this before. Sorry it won't be around for long when DTF opens.

Yelp
Pretty solid Taiwanese food. They are located on the bottom floor of Pioneer Square Mall in downtown Portland. There is plenty of seats in their dining area and ordering is easy. They have a pretty good range of items on their menu from dim sum, noodle soups, fried noodle/rice, teriyaki dishes, specials and lots of beverages. I decided to try their Hong Kong Style Wonton Noodle Soup. The dish was pretty decent especially for food at the mall. One thing to note is that they did not provide utensils once they had the food ready. Make sure to ask for utensils. The staff were friendly but it didnt seem like they wanted to interact with customers. Overall- pretty decent food, lots of space to sit and has the potential to be a great spot.

Chris S.

Yelp
Located at the lower level of the Pioneer Place in the food court. Spacious interior area with plenty of seating that'll accommodate large groups. One of the rice dishes was burnt and was only maskable with Sriracha. The other was pretty good. Given it was towards the end of the day, a few items on the menu were no longer served. I'd imagine this place has the potential to do well, but some fierce competition is coming with DTF opening next door in the same mall.

Yelp
Ordered Kung Pao Shrimp...it came out with random veggies very minimally stirred fried with shrimp in a reddish, gelatinous sauce. Dish did not have the peanuts and did not resemble menu description. I picked around in the dish but it was very, very substandard. If I had looked at it when I picked it up to takeout, I would have sent it back. Disappointing and not worth the money.

Britnee C.

Yelp
Y'all when I say this is some of the best food I've had in a mall, I mean it's the BEST food I've ever had in a mall. The woman at the counter who took my order was so helpful and it's got a massive seating area for a food court restaurant. I also got a bunch of dumplings and shu mai that were all tasty but not nearly as good as the minced pork fried rice I got

Buddy Bee A.

Yelp
I was debating whether to write this review. On the surface, the restaurant is a jewel in the city. You get all the usual dishes. They come with ample portions. I was hoping, that when I brought a friend and they ordered the fried rice. they could substitute canned peas and carrots for some other vegetables. They had mushrooms and broccoli dishes, so, I thought, if I pay extra, they could put some of those things on their rice. I wasn't told anything. Just a nod of indifference from the guy at the counter taking my order. It had been the third time I had dropped some good cash for food there. When the food came, there was pretty much tiny slivers of onions and chicken on her rice. It had good flavor but, come on, what about veggies. It was barren. I went up to the chef's area and said, would you eat this? Come on. He said they don't put mushrooms on fried rice. Since when? Would that destroy the earth, disrupt some mass eternal plan? I guess, I am gaijin. Just a peasant, who is ignorant and doesn't know better about their unique cultural cuisine. I felt like I was some kind of Karen, for asking about the lack of vegetables they had available for my friend to enjoy on her rice. It fell to deaf ears. I said have it your way. I wanted to pick my fights but, after much consideration, I decided I would be that insolent foreigner, and say something. An uncouth peasant from the evil west...

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Wasn't expecting much since its food court but Wok a holic was a pleasant surprise. I had the broccoli beef and it was delicious. Good serving of beef, nicely crisp broccoli and delicious sauce. My friends had different dishes and they were impressed as well. We will be visiting again.

Yelp
This is an upgraded Panda Express -- you order and they cook it for you but still fast food fare. The food wasn't bad. We ordered noodles, fried rice, mapo tofu and the scallion pancake (which actually was burnt sticky flour rice with a dipping sauce, a disappointment.) Noodle broth wasn't bad and the fried rice had a smokiness to it, which made it taste more authentic. However, the low rating is for bad customer service. The crew failed to list down 1 item that we ordered. We were wondering what happened so we double checked the receipt and it was not there. Then we asked for a bag for 2 boxes of leftovers and the crew handed me a small paper bag. I asked if he had a bigger one, which they had, and he just snatched the small bag from my hand, with irritation. My advice to you, young man, if you hate dealing with customers, just quit your job. Rudeness does not have a place in the service industry.

David B.

Yelp
The food is decent. There are often nats/fruit flies flying around which is not a great way to enjoy a meal. Also, don't try to order online. While their website will accept an order and confirm by text, they won't make the meal until you arrive, tell them what you ordered, and pay at the register. They appeared to be confused why this was disappointing to me.

Jazmine C.

Yelp
it was okay. we ordered the tonkotsu ramen, mapo tofu, shrimp and wonton dumplings, and pan fried pork and vegetable dumplings. the best thing were the dumplings. unfortunately, the tonkotsu broth threw me off because it smelled like a dirty public restroom. the mapo tofu was just meh. it wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. if you want a snack just get the dumplings, or something else off the menu. i just wouldn't recommend the mapo tofu or the tonkotsu ramen.

Anthony W.

Yelp
General Tso was deep fried chicken with sweet red sauce not appetizing as all. No flavor. And came with a side of corn?!?! Found a hair in my wonton soup... kitchen staff denies. No side sauces. They informed me there is a shortage. Then over heard woman say there was a fly in her food. Young man with glasses has no customer service skills. Overall, this place is not a place to eat at. Disappointed overall, would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Panda Express has better flavor, then Wok A Holic!!!!! If I had more then two hands, I would give this place 4 thumbs down .

Samuel L.

Yelp
I had a good time there, I got to practice my Mandarin with the staff members, and their food really good. I really wanna go back there again.

Stewart A.

Yelp
Worst food ever. I saw they had dim sum. I ordered the basics shumai and howgow. It took for ever to get but I was aware that cooking dim sum fresh can take away. When I got it it was store bought frozen. It was horrible. I took two bites told the cook I was disappointed and left. The lady that took my order did not know what howgow was. I guess I have still drive out to 82nd get dim sum. Plus they should remove the dim Sum before Din Tai Fing opens.

Vivi W.

Yelp
Very authentic Taiwanese noodles soup , big chunks of beef with nice veggies in a broth large portion, clean space

Tori K.

Yelp
HORRIBLE service. about 4 employees stood around on their phones, they tended to food without washing their hands after touching personal items, the lady at the register had no idea what i was saying and was extremely rude, i pointed to the menu multiple times and she kept ringing up the wrong thing, i ordered bbq pork buns, they were over steamed and rock hard by the time i got them, my order was #52 and i didn't get my food until after #63 was called. never coming back.

Shengming S.

Yelp
good taste! friendly waiter! nice location! easy order online too!hope to came back again when I visit portland !

Yelp
Craving comfort food, I ordered #20-Hong Kong Style Wonton Noodle Soup. I do not recommend this item on the menu at all. This is definitely not HK style by any means. The only style this is, is disgusting. Noodle type should be egg noodles, soup was bland, wontons were mushy, and they used cabbage as the choy. I've never had wonton noodle soup this bad. Not that it would have made a difference, but they didn't even include cilantro, and green onions that are in the description of the dish. To top it off, they didn't even provide a spoon for my to-go order.

KR B.

Yelp
Bland food, my taro bubble tea tasted like a milkshake, hardly any taro in it. I came at 5pm, an hour before they closed (6pm) and was told my order had to be to go and I could not eat in their dining room.what the heck??!!! Pan fried pork dumpling was good though. Won't go back again.

Katerina B.

Yelp
I work really close by and have been here a few times for lunch now. It's a solid lunch spot, with pretty tasty Asian food, from a few different cultures. I really like that everything is freshly cooked to order and they don't overcook the vegetables. I dislike that the noodles can be a little greasy sometimes and also they do this weird thing if you get an entree that comes with rice (like Orange Chicken), where they put the hot meat on a bed of lettuce that gets all wilted from the heat. So if you're not a fan of hot lettuce, you may want to ask them to leave it off your plate. But otherwise, it's a great place for a quick lunch in the mall.

Robert B.

Yelp
I ordered zGeneral Tso chicken. I asked if it was white meat and she said yes. But it wasn't.... Also got the noodles instead of rice and it was a mistake. The bowl was so greasy I couldn't even eat it.

Amanda N.

Yelp
Not a good experience here. After we ordered all tables were dirty we had trouble finding a place to sit. Once we did sit down there were spiders all over the table so we moved to a booth, once we got our food we were swarmed with insects. They were all over the food, relentless, could hardly eat so we moved and then were swarmed again. In our soups and drinks. We ended up just leaving. Waste of money. They need to clean better and find the root of their bug problem.

Crystal M.

Yelp
Great selection of food items. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and my friend ordered some ramen. The food was really yummy! We didn't wait very long either.

Jay S.

Yelp
This place is a gem!!! I was so surprised how good the food was. Pineapple fried rice, Shrimp and pork wontons, Taiwanese beef noodle soup (noodles and broth were delicious, beef kinda too chewy for us) (My dad is super picky about this noodle soup and he loved it!) All really flavorful and delicious, and pretty presentation!!

Hieu D.

Yelp
if I can give you a 0 star I will! i came in a early moring and I really appriciate that they can open and have us serve! So we order the fry pancake and the chef he made it super burn! like super black! and you cants eat the burn food right! And we came to ask if he can remake it! but he said it was supposed to be like that! hello! this is not the first time we eat the fried pancake! the service is very poor!

Iris K.

Yelp
Get the crispy scallion pancakes. Eat it immediately. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Shane L.

Yelp
I love this place, I think is underrated and not enough people know about this place. I love the food, I usually go with the orange chicken and upgrade to the yakisoba noodles, always really good quality and delicious. Staff is super friendly, tons of seating, nice little atmosphere for a place in the food court at the mall.

April D.

Yelp
The food is great! Spacious area. Probably won't come back here cause it's in Portland, but overall the restaurant great!

Michiel W.

Yelp
Tables are dirty and sticky. Food was tasteless. Dim sum was over cooked and soggy and clearly steamed for a very long time (lazy cooks not want to make to order). The green onion pancake was raw and burned at the same time (not crispy). I don't recall haven't eaten so poorly in a very long time. Of course stupid to select a mall food court for some food but it doesn't have to be this bad. Yuk! Stay away!!!

Casey L.

Yelp
I ordered the Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork. The broth was super bland, and the overall flavor was lacking. The pork was nice and tender, but I just wish the other elements of the ramen were better. I also ordered the BBQ Pork Bun. The flavor was a little better with this one, but I still wasn't overly impressed by it. The service was so so, and the ambiance of the restaurant was very spacious and open which was nice for the dining experience. Overall the food here was not my favorite, and I was pretty disappointed with the experience as a whole.

Jade C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and affordable! The canteen style shrimp dumplings were so good my mom and I ordered 2 more! I will definitely be coming back!

Lesley A.

Yelp
I found this place today with a friend. We were looking for a place to have a quick bite and stumbled onto this little gem at the bottom of the Pioneer Place Mall. The food was so fragrant, tasty and fresh. We ordered spicy shrimp & pork dumplings and salt & pepper shrimp. The dumplings were delicious with Szechwan peppercorns in the sauce for that extra something and fresh cilantro on top. The salt & pepper shrimp were slightly spicy with such a great flavor with jalapeno & grilled onions served along side corn & rice. I can't wait to return to try other dishes and bring my husband for a date. My friend is originally from NJ and said it was like the great Chinese restaurants in NY. I'm from Toronto and thought this place was just as good as our Chinatown restaurants. We are also both chefs and recommend this cute modern place. Please try this place and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Sergio G.

Yelp
great fresh food and portion size, had the pork buns , potstickers were really good and orange chicken was crispy and fresh
