****photos are from previous visit***** I have been here before and have not had a negative experience yet, the food has been delicious, prices are reasonable, and service was fair. BUT...Friday night was a different story. I understand that it was a Friday night and it's a busy location, but this was just absolutely insane and a complete 360 from the other times I have been there as well as what I have heard from other people's experiences. I got off late after a 12-hour work day so I was already tired, I called in an order for pickup about 0630 and the woman told me it would be ready in about 30-35 minutes. She didn't take my name, number, or give me an order all she said was "Okay I got you honey bye," which I though okay sounds good they know what they are doing they I will just pick it up by order or something. I got there about 0655ish knowing it was probably not going to be ready yet, except when I got to the door it was PACKED. The employees were working unbelievably hard, and I felt so bad for them, they were doing their absolute best to keep up with the customers inside, phone calls, and online orders. It looked beyond overwhelming. People that were waiting were getting so frustrated as I could hear them saying they had been waiting for over an hour and were getting so mad. People from Grubhub kept walking up asking for their orders because it was taking so long and getting upset with them. One of my biggest problems with Friday nights experience was that the cashier (who was working her butt off like everyone else, I completely acknowledge that) was still answering the phone taking orders telling every person that their order would be ready in 30-35 minutes... As I continuously stood there waiting to pay for my meal, people pushing past me to ask about their orders, I finally sat down because I caught on that the "ready" orders were being placed onto the counter then which they would yell out the name/number/order of what it was. In the entire time I was there, they had set out possibly 10 orders which were mainly taken by grubhub orders. Their lobby was full of 20 plus people standing/sitting inside, standing outside and grubhub orders being taken away mostly. There were people walking in putting in new orders also, it was just a mad house. Other customers were voicing their opinions out loud saying "Lady stop answering the phone and taking orders because you can't even help the customers you have here!" There was confusion on whose order was who, people asking what numbers, what names and then yelling out how long they had been sitting waiting. One of the cooks in the back started to yell becoming really upset that the grubhub people needed to stop getting here so quickly because she was hitting an hour plus on their orders and they were getting here immediately but it wasn't working. I felt truly bad but at 0815 I had left the restaurant because there were more people coming in, no orders being placed out on the counter, and some of us hadn't even been helped to pay for our meal yet. I couldn't even be contacted to let know when it was ready because none of my information was taken. I was beyond disappointed. What can be taken away from all of this? I suppose go way earlier perhaps...prepare to wait if you don't....if you call in get a number or something...or just don't go on the weekend?
