This time they messed my order up. Chow mei fun is always my family's favorite however this time around the food had an aftertaste as if it was left overs. The noodles were into pieces instead of the usual long noodles they serve. ....

I've eaten here for years , only because I work close...eat Asian food somewhere else. The fried rice and noodles won't be what your craving. The dumplings are ok . Most of the dishes I've tried here just taste like watered down Asian food.

I have been searching for Good food in Memphis for the past couple of years now..And might I say that this place has Not disappointed me Every time that I went. The food is Fresh and not heavy and even when I warm it up it Still doesn't lose its flavor Great job! And Highly recommended!

I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice. I was not impressed. The sauce on the sesame chicken was really, really, thick and very salty to me. The chicken itself was extremely dry. I've had chicken out of a dehydrator that has had more moisture in it. I don't know if they were having a bad night or what, this was my first time there. Will probably be the last time.

I ordered the shrimp fried rice, large with two shrimp egg rolls. Let me start with the initial call in order. I called to place my order, and while giving my order, she would repeat what I was saying. When she repeated the order, she kept saying regular. I kept saying large...she said I know, I know, one regular, and one large. At this point, she was agitated. I would correct her again. She finally said, by regular, I mean, no vegetables in the rice. Let's get to the rice itself. It was undercooked, and it had no flavor, none, zilch! I asked my coworker how his food was. He stated that his rice wasn't good either. The shrimp was half done, I had to put my plate in the microwave to finish cooking the shrimp, and the rice had to be re-cooked at home . He took his plate home to cook and added more flavor to it. Neither one of us had dinner because the food wasn't fit to eat. We both end up taking our food home to try to salvage it. We were at work, so we didn't have the option to take it back. A side note, eggs don't come in your rice. You have to request it for a dollar more. The egg rolls were decent. Signed: No Woking or Rolling for us.

BE WARNED!! This used to be my got to for lunch until today. As I was waiting for my order in the restaurant, I observed one of the cooks handling raw noodles with his bare hands, then handled raw shrimp with his bare hands, then started cooking using all the utensils with raw shrimp juice all over his hands. Disgusting, I will never return. Shocking!!

Google
Great place for fast Chinese food. My favorite is the steamed dumplings. Their dipping sauce is amazing! I also recommend the L7.

Google
Ordered the general tso’s lunch special with egg drop soup and fried rice for only 9 bucks and some odd change! Food is delicious and it’s a good amount for a good price!

Yelp
A place for lunch break. Food is ok. The workers are on point. They get your order right. Never had a problem with my order. It's always hot .

Yelp
My Favorite Meal From Here Is The Shrimp Fried Rice And The Egg Rolls. Some Of The Best I've Tasted. The Rice Isn't Heavy With Grease/Oil. It's Fresh And Hot Everytime, And The Egg Rolls As Well. The Egg Rolls Are Super Flavorful And Have A Good Amount Of Crunch To Them. The Service Is Always Fast And They Are Always Nice. The Restaurant Is Really Clean As Well. No Sticky Tables Or Floors.

Yelp
HORRIBLE!!! Anyone who says this restaurant has good food, clearly isn't used to good or even decent cuisine. This was my first and LAST visit. I ordered the L14 lunch special and the chicken was old, hard, chewy and stringy and you couldn't swallow it. It was like chewing on gum. The rice had a burnt smell like it had been reheated too many times and scorched. Save your money. I wouldn't feed this mess to my dog! SHAME ON WOK & ROLL for selling garbage like this. They knew the food was old, yet they chose to sell it any way. Shows you what they think of the people they service. Yall stop lying like their food is great. Clearly it ISN'T! Tell the truth and shame the devil. Their food is WACK.

Yelp
As someone who is a wok and roll regular customer for over 10 years (yes ten years) I think it was finally time I give this place a HONEST review. For starters, the maintenance. Very well kept, nice and clean place. Not like other small places where the floors are icky, the restrooms stink, and the table are sticky and full of crumbs. Next the customer service and management. They are nice but straight up people. Since this place gets really packed around lunch hours, they've always been fast paced. So don't expect them to review the whole menu with you, they'll be glad to answer your questions, but there's usually always a line, so be ready to order or just tell them you need more time. Very RARE occasions when they would mess up and order. Yet again this a restaurant ran by PEOPLE, so they can mess up , but in ny experience they are doing a good job. Now third, the actual food. To be very honest, the food is just alright. It's not top notch the best Chinese cuisine in existence, but not the worst. Though I've never had an order where I didn't "like" the food. The food is average. You kind of "get what you pay for" (price is coming up next). I will say YOU MUST GET THE EGG ROLLS. They are delicious!!! I could literally drive all the way here just for their egg roll. One of the best I've tried. I feel like the rest of the food just simply lack a bit of taste, but overall 3.5/5. Finally the price. You can't beat the prices. If you're looking for some decent cheap Chinese food, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. This is what makes it my favorite Chinese place and why I will never stop coming here. Cheap and tasty food. So in conclusion, if you want a place with decent service, maintenance, food, and prices, this is your place. This is my honest review guys, I've been going here for over 10 years and I will never stop coming here. Plus it's literally called "wok and roll," you can't tell me that isn't a dope name.

Yelp
I come in a few times a week for their lunch special. Great food super affordable! Everyone is always friendly! I always get beef and broccoli and it's never disappointing! If you're covid worried, they take great protocol! If you're looking for a local Chinese spot, yummy, and affordable, this is your place! Thank me later! GOD bless.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and hot..and stays that way even till i get home. Prices are reasonable! And service is good! I've haven't waited long so far and that's always a plus!

Yelp
One of my favorite lunch spots. I suggest you try the general tso's or chicken and broccoli lunch special. Great egg rolls too. Any lunch special is $4.99 and comes with a drink. Parking lot can be cramped and a challenge so be careful. They recently expanded and have a pretty big dining room so I wouldn't call them small anymore.

Yelp
I was greeted before the door even closed behind me, so that's a good thing. The guy who took my order was wearing a ridiculous tattered shirt with holes in it and silly red jeans too long to be considered shorts that also were tattered. Some way to impress your customers. I took a picture of him but Yelp saw fit to censor that. Apparently someone complained. Whiners. It affects the consumer experience if it shows they are unprofessional. Also, they've spent no effort to even hang a picture. The walls in the dining room are completely bare and all food is served as takeout. When I was waiting for my food the guy behind me who had just gotten his, took it back to the counter to tell them he'd gotten the wrong order. Then the Chinese were trying to figure out who to give it to next after the first guy had it. There was much commotion going on in Chinese, but they didn't seem to figure it out. Then when they brought my order, I opened it and took a picture, and they immediately came and grabbed it from my table because it wasn't what I ordered. I think they gave it to a takeout customer. The price was cheap, but the quality was lacking. I ordered crab Rangoon in addition to a general t'so because I planned on taking it home in my cooler. I ate what I could, but the food just wasn't worth saving, so for me, it wasn't really cheap because I left it there. Pickings are slim in this area and I think 3 stars is generous.

Yelp
I wanted this place to be good! It was clean and there was ample parking but it was pretty tasteless. I got dumplings and wonton soup. The broth of the soup tasted like chicken soup...not bad but not wonton soup. The wontons in the broth were dense like I love them but with no taste whatsoever. When I opened the dumplings I got so excited, too, Bc it was the thick doughy kind! But again, zero flavor. My gf had the sesame chicken and it was about what mall Chinese chicken would be. The fried rice was also tasteless and the egg roll was not noteworthy. Overall, the place is clean but I wish I left there without regretting it all.

Yelp
Most of the food is bland and reminds me of microwaveable Chinese food. The portions are great but the food is just okay.

Yelp
I really like the name of this place because it catches the eye and is amusing. But I was not as impressed with the food. It's pretty standard cheap Chinese food that is just not for me. I tried it anyway because I was close by, but I would not eat here again. I got egg drop soup and fried dumplings. I did not finish either because neither one was up to my standards. For cheap Chinese food, this place is great, but if you're looking for an authentic hole in the wall place like myself, this isn't the place for you! Heads up! I suggest ordering ahead of time at lunchtime because they are very busy and it can take a long time if you just walk in. Also they're friendly but they expect you to know what you want so if you're not sure just be straight with them and tell them you gotta look a bit. The lady that everyone says can be a bit forward will totally leave you alone while you decide if you just tell her you need time to look over the menu. But they are pretty busy so her "Next!" attitude is not rude but efficient.

Yelp
Never againg not even one star but I couldn't leave a review without at least a star. The chicken was bruised and over fried vegetables egg rolls were dark brown inside, general Tso was very bland. We call and the lady in charge mouth was smart and irogrant as usual we difintly won't be going back she told us to bring it back we threw it in the garage and said no thanks we not trusting them to fix anything else and I'm saving the the picture for the health department cause that was not an appealing look at all.

Yelp
Wok & Roll is a staple lunch place around the airport/fedex area of town. No frills but good pretty much every time. Most recently got a moo goo gai pan with an extra egg roll, ordered by phone for carry out, and it was hot and on point. The establishment is always clean and well lit, and service, while very business like and to the point, is always good.

Yelp
Wok & roll, baby. This little establishment is one of my go to's for a quick lunch during the work week. They have your typical Chinese food menu, but the beauty is how cheap it is! I usually can get two meals out of my large portion of rice and whatever dish I choose. My faves are their Kung Pao chicken, general tsos and sweet and sour chicken. Pretty good food, cheap price. What's not to love? I do want to warn fellow yelpers. The lady behind the counter is a bit abrasive and slightly scary. She's never been directly mean to me, but she tends to rush you along and shout things in Chinese. When you go to the counter, know what you're going to order, or get ready to be yelled at. Some people might find her offensive, but I think she adds a certain unmistakeable charm to wok & roll.

Yelp
So being that my husband works at the airport, he suggested we get take out from Wok & Roll. We called ahead and the food was ready for pickup. Now I don't know if it's because this place is local for him or because my husband and his coworkers really like the food, but I did not! Let me just be clear that it wasn't terrible, I've just had way better Chinese food. First the egg rolls are like half the size of what I am use to and lacked flavor. However, I will admit they weren't greasy so that was a good thing. Second, the chicken and broccoli tasted meh. Not sure what sauce they used to stir it up, but it didn't taste all that great and finally the fried rice was pretty bland, and had no flavor whatsoever. Overall, Wok & Roll has prompt take out service, but to me the food wasn't great and I wouldn't order from there again.

Yelp
Yeah the Chinese food is ok. It's passable and will get your thru in this barren area. So a lot of Fedex workers stop over on their way to work. It's also very cheap. But the best thing about this place is the wings. To me, they have very good wings- whole and party. And I normally stop here for wings when I am having some sort of party. Don't expect much from service- just an fyi.

Yelp
Just ok asian food. This place is more of a walk-in and take out food bar than a restaurant. They do have seating, but..... you'd probably be much happier to grab and go. I've given this place a few opportunities, but my opinion hasn't changed much. It's a bit greasy and "instant" tasting. If you need and fast and cheap option - this will probably work. Looking for something authentic or charming - not so much.

Yelp
This is an amazing hole in the wall restaurant. I eat there multiple times a week at lunch time AND it's only $5.55 for the lunch specials (they have nearly 30 options on the lunch menu). I highly recommend the orange chicken and do note that this is a whole lot of food. Just go there and see for yourself it's great.

Libby H.

Yelp
A great version of your basic Chinese take-out. Don't expect anything gourmet or an authentic Chinese menu, but super fast lunch. Nice people running the restaurant, and exceptional health department rating. I'm so glad they are in this neighborhood. It's a great quick work lunch option if you are in the Airpark area of Memphis. High 90's and sometimes 100's on their health department score card. Food is prepared fresh with the kitchen open to view from the order/cashier counter.

Yelp
Fast, friendly, and yummy!! I love the house mei fun and young chow fried rice!!! Ask them to make it spicy!
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Great place to check out something new. It's a hole in the wall but the food is great! They have expanded the restaurant, so there is more seating available. The people are generally nice. You can call in your order ahead of time as well.

Yelp
Wok n Roll, one of the best kept secrets for quick and good Chinese food in Memphis. General Tso chicken is fantastic, very large portions for under $6.00 for lunch. You will not leave hungry. Great place for lunch in the airport area, especially since they enlarged the dining room.

Yelp
Fast, cheap and good. Their food is always on point and cooked fast. Last year when it snowed they were the only ones near work that were open and we were happy to give them our business. I've eaten Chinese food all over... This is good stuff.
google avatar

Yelp
I was in town on a business trip. Placed an order for chicken with broccoli and Lo Mein. It was definitely one of the better Chinese food experiences in awhile. Nice people too. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I give this place 4 Star only because I grew up in New York and visited Chinatown regularly and know what real Chinese food is. Nevertheless, I eat here regularly and usually order of all things the L26. Fried Chicken Wings lunch combo. If you like fried wings, You'll be pleasantly supersized!

Tj D.

Yelp
OK but nothing special. Friendly but not particularly great service. I ordered by number the Sweet & Sour pork and got the Sweet & Sour chicken with fried rice. Was sort of bland. I'm not really into very spicy stuff but will definitely get something with a pepper next to it on the menu if I go back!

Sarah R.

Yelp
While the food may be great, I can't get passed the horrific customer service by the lady that's always at the counter. Yuk. The way she rolls her eyes back because she can't understand your english. What a horrible display of living in America sucking up all the benefits that regular Americans are denied. I spoke with her husband and he was worse. This was my second time having to totally cancel my order because of their nasty attitutde. Won't go back. I extend great customer service in my day to day operations at work and expect at least half at a restuarant where I pay their bills. NO THANKS!!! Never again.
