Best Food at Citi Field, the New York Mets Stadium in Queens | Eater NY

"A Chinese American casual concept from the same team as New York Panini known for playful, snackable items such as rainbow cookie rolls and a new sweet-savory cinnamon bun egg roll—described as a cinnamon bun encased in a fried wonton wrapper—and a poutine-stuffed egg roll, bringing inventive, hybrid fried items to the menu." - Nadia Chaudhury

My daughter and I visited this past Saturday and had a really great dining experience. Staff were super great and the food was delicious. Very cool place to check out and I love that it's almost tucked away down one of the side streets in Huntington.. I will definitely be going back.

Google
This is the tastier "Chinese food" I eat in long time. Fresh and quick ready to go food. Ordered the Garlic beef and Stairway to heaven - chicken, pork, beef. Portion fairly large and workers friendly.

Google
The food is delicious. I had the pulled pork egg roll and garlic beef lo mein. So good! The staff are friendly and the decor is awesome. The only thing is, I wish they had actual tables to sit down at. The bar type seating is okay but there's definitely room for tables. Other than that detail, this is a great little Chinese restaurant. I really like it!

Google
A really nice, different, and modern take on Chinese food. The items come in a newer, more reinforced, takeout container that pulls you back to the 1990s. Egg noodles are chewy and well cooked. Rice is medium to short grain and not too sticky. Also, it's not overly sauced. Not salty, either. We had the spicy pork aka Born to be Wild, and a custom-made dish featuring shrimp. Sure the shrimp are smaller, but I'd rather have at least 15 small shrimp than 4 big ones. The ingredients ratio of the custom made dishes are well portioned, so nothing is overwhelming. It shows that the chef/lead there really cares about what he makes. The dishes are half base half topping/sauced stuff, so you get a good taste of base plus topping in every bite. It's worth the price. My container was filled -- No stingy filled containers here! This place is primarily to go. The walls are lined with a bar shelf and a lot of high stools for eating in house, which is what I did. It was great to chill here while we ate and listened to the choice music. I wish the bar counters were a little deeper but it's not a dealbreaker. Maybe one lower set for the handicapped/disabled and/or children, but that can be easily fixed at a later time. Great paint job, organized counter, extremely clean, and well maintained drink fridge. I didn't check the restroom but I would assume it'd be spick and span considering this place didn't have a crumb on the counters. BTW: Those folks who complained over a year ago about flavor don't know what they're talking about. This isn't your commonplace Chinese takeout and its painfully obvious by the menu, so don't go here expecting those flavors at all. It wasn't salty at all, too. The food isn't boring, either; it sounds like a lot of hoopla if you ask me! Give it a shot!

Wow, what a breath of fresh air. The food is fantastic, it’s music to my ears hearing wok tossing while I wait for my food. You can’t go wrong with a short 10-15 minute wait time. The portions are wonderful and very reasonably priced. Unbelievable flavors from such unique dishes. The menu is small but carefully curated which is bound to have something you like. The owner is bright and makes sure everyone is satisfied with their experience. I urge you to try this spot out!

Google
🔥 First tried at Citi Field during a Mets game. Picked up takeout for my Mom (visiting from Florida), my wife, and our two sons—and everyone loved it. The Korean BBQ Egg Roll, Barracuda, and Stairway to Heaven rolls were next-level. Awesome vibe, quick pickup, and seriously memorable food.🤘🍱⚾

Google
I gotta say I'm rather blown away by this place. The food was amazing, I got the Spicy Pork Chili, and it was amount the best Chinese foods I've ever had. The flavor was great and cooked perfectly. It was very filling and I highly recommend coming here if you have the chance.

Yelp
Surprisingly Good Don't let the name deceive you, this isn't a hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant. While it is fast food, they definitely have a modern approach. I almost skipped this place because I wasn't thrilled about the entire meal being served in an Asian to-go box, but I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size and quality of the food. Everything seemed fresh and the food was definitely flavorful. I ordered a traditional pork egg roll, and the guy at the counter offered me a special--macaroni, cornbread, and pulled pork egg roll. I politely declined, though I mentioned it sounded good. Well, guess what I ended up with? The pulled pork egg roll instead of what I actually ordered. Normally, I'd take a star off for that, but I have to admit--it was outrageously good. Now, what does deserve a deduction is the ridiculously loud music blasting curse words in the middle of the afternoon. Geez, I sound like my father. At 1:30 PM, it was so loud that having a phone conversation inside was impossible. I doubt some of the other customers appreciated it either. Personally, I didn't mind. I actually liked the music, which is why I'm not removing any stars. But I have a 3-year-old daughter, and I would never bring her here because of that. So, while the food is excellent, the service and atmosphere need some work. If you're okay with a loud, casual setting (and a little surprise with your order maybe), you'll probably enjoy it! :)

Yelp
Pretty decent food here. First time ordering, I ordered off DoorDash. Lemme just start by saying they don't have their full menu on DoorDash. But still enough to gain a grasp of what this place entails. I was leaning towards 3.3/3.4 so I rounded down to 3 stars so they understand how to change things up. I got the pulled pork egg roll. The first bite was great. Not nearly enough pulled pork in it, so I'd skip this. It came with a teriyaki sauce which was great. I built my own box with beef, shrimp, egg noodles, shiitake mushrooms and jalapeños. I added their 2 spiciest sauces. 1: the spice wasn't too spicy until I added my own sriracha and scorpion Tabasco. 2: the portion size was OK. Mind you I spent $30 on this DoorDash order for 2 things. Price isn't worth what you're getting. Some of the beef was extremely tender and delicious, some pieces were chewy. Adding the shrimp was ehhh, I guess okay. Baby shrimp, maybe like 4-5 pieces? Coulda been cooked better, noodles were great and their sauces gave it a lot of flavor. Not nearly enough mushrooms or jalapeños. I'd like to see more of the regular items on DoorDash. But tbh, for the price? I can go to the Chinese joint across the street from my house and get beef and shrimp lo mein for $10 lol. Nothing to rave home about, all bark no bite. More of a gimmick spot. I will say the service when I called was friendly. I spoke to a dude named gio, I asked him for extra portions due to my first time trying, he said "all portions are standard and pretty big" turns out the meat portion was a lie lol but it's cool. Idk if I'll try it again, certainly not for the price through DOORDASH at least. But I hope they take the feedback they're getting and vastly improve. Deff has potential, but they just try and promote that they got into Citifield as a food vendor, and took that success and ran with it. Real foodies will know once they try the spot. I think I'll have to go here in person and try it out fresh and then give it a fair review. Once again this review is based off a DoorDash order.

Yelp
I really like the concept of this place and the atmosphere. Basically rice and pasta bowls with different ingredients very tasty and I like the containers that they serve the take out in too. Fun, art, music filled space for a take out joint

Yelp
The food is great The service is always friendly and prompt I love this place! The ambience is a vibe as well. I wish I still lived nearby, but whenever I'm in the area I'm excited to order from Wok N' Roll!

Yelp
Super good. Got the chicken parm egg roll. I could eat that every day. Highly recommend

Yelp
Ordered the Garlic Beef. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. For the life of me, I don't understand why they cram the white rice under the Garlic Beef in the box. First off, you can't get to the rice unless you get a plate and spill the food all over. If you're on the road/or at work, you'll end up eating only beef first and just left with soggy rice at the end. And that's a big problem.... you finally get to the rice, & it's soggy as fk because of the excess sauce. Definitely they should consider separating them. The Garlic Beef felt like an attempt to be authentic but fails because it was lacking something, can't pinpoint what it is... With so many Asian restaurants in the area that are better, I wouldn't return.

Yelp
Delicious! Ordered a fried rice bowl with some different veggies and chicken with 3 different sauces on the side. It was amazing. I have celiacs, the owner and staff are incredibly knowledgeable. I could order almost anything. Felt great afterwards. Thank you!

Yelp
We have eaten here a few times, each time better than the next. Service is quick typically just over 10 min for excellent, fresh food. They always have creative egg rolls including our favorite - the rainbow cookie egg roll! We just tried the new "chili crisp" sauce and it was phenomenal; Perfect spice level great on any order!! Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Bruh, 3 years we've worked here and today was our first try. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Yelp
Wow this place is amazing for Asian comfort food! Fast and easy to order and the meal tastes gourmet. Great elevation to your typical Asian Take out!

Jake S.

Yelp
The food is always fresh and brought to you in a timely manner. The art inside and outside of the building really adds to the restaurant's theme.

Yelp
This place is must try!!! The food here is so good! So much flavor! The sauces are great especially black garlic. Definitely can't wait to come back and try some more. This will be my new go to spot in Huntington!!!

Alyssa M.

Yelp
I came here when it first opened. Ordered the stairway to heaven which has their black garlic sauce. At the time I didn't love the sauce but it was okay. I tried this place again yesterday and wish I would have given it a second chance sooner. This time I got the garlic steak and a pork egg roll. They must have updated the recipe for the black garlic sauce from when they first opened because it was super flavorful this time around. WAY better than my previous experience. The egg roll was also great and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The portions are also large. Dishes come in a giant takeout container. There's enough for two people to share or for myself 2-3 meals. So the portions for the price are generous. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Yelp
Amazing vegetarian options great variety of toppings and flavors !!! Will be back soon

John J.

Yelp
First time here got a variety of dishes to try out with some friends. The food was good and so was the service. Only feedback- get a few tables in there! Either way we will be back, thanks Drew!

Yelp
Wok N' Roll is a great choice for takeout any night of the week. You can easily customize/curate any dish or start your own so there is something for everyone. The portions are generous however it is definitely pricey. Some of the toppings are really overpriced like the fried onions, sesame seeds. A bit disappointed in the size of the shrimp for how pricey it was - they give you mini ones no different than a regular chinese spot. As you build your own, it gets a bit out of control compared to ordering a noodle dish from a regular chinese spot. But it is delicious, nice employees, solid service and you can definitely make two meals out of it so I can justify the price with that in the times we are living in. Great location & guaranteed to hit the spot after a busy day!

Yelp
Got a noodle dish and it was customized as I liked it . The large single portion @ $15.00 aprox. was not terrible (for Huntington Village). I was stuffed - probably could have saved half of it for dinner later ? So there's that. The flavors and spices were also good--but noodles were a tad undercooked (which I hate). I REALLY did not like that the outside window wants you to "scan for menu" (just paste up a paper menu for older people that don't "live on their phone" or maybe it's buried at the bottom of a bag , or lost in the mess of a baby stroller). And we were not sure why you cannot sit and eat INSIDE. Tables & chairs were all gone . I think this will discourage some people who are far from home and hate eating in their car. Place looks too empty when you enter. And it still feels "quarantine-y" . Put some potted plants & large decorative items around to make it feel more welcoming if you're not going to put the tables back. Wok N' Roll should also watch the SALT . If it's not salty enough for some : that's why God created soy sauce. You can't REMOVE the salt if you think it's "too salty". Overall , OK. Not sure if I'll return but the fact that there is no longer a quickie "go to" Chinese Take Out in town anymore - MIGHT pull me in for a noodle / fried rice fix. LOL. Lastly , I did not see any type of option for a "lunch special" -- maybe 3 different offerings for $9.99 or so.

Yelp
I recently moved to Huntington and Wok n Roll easily became one of my go to take out places. Their curated dishes are great and if you're feeling something different you can customize. Respectable portions packed with flavor and quality ingredients. Don't stop at the noodles get yourself an egg roll too! They will always make sure your food is right. My friends and family have insane allergies that Wok N Roll continue to accommodate. The vision for this place is great and I'll continue to be a customer. Thank you to Chris and the rest of the staff!

Yelp
Ordered tonight for first time positives: Ginger scallion shrimp, stairway to heaven, born to be wild delicious needs improvement: bacon was soggy, headbanger is super spicy but not indicated on the menu, the zucchini noodles are very tough, egg rolls greasy negative: the biggest issue is when you call you are directed to order online. This is a problem as a new customer who has questions about the menu. If I were able to talk to someone I may know the headbanger would set your mouth on fire. That brings me to the online menu which lists the build your own but doesn't list any of the ingredients to choose from. Also, there should be a description of the sauces because without anyone to ask, how am I supposed to know what dragon sauce is or wok n roll sauce? Please answer your phone. Customer service is important and appreciated. With that, we we will give it another try but hopefully the online menu will be tidied up.

Jackie M.

Yelp
Great tasting food with amazing service. They were extremely nice in a great environment. I definitely recommend!!!

Yelp
the food was soooo good. I had dreams about their specialty eggrolls. food Was amazing and I'm waiting for next time.

Yelp
It's good but the amount of food compared to the price is a little steep at the end of the day it's Chinese food

Yelp
This place is GREAT!! I had the teriyaki chicken and it was awesome. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other dishes. Outstanding food, superb location and magnificent service. This place is a great addition to Huntington Village

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Can you eat wok every day???? No. Okay. But I would if I could. It was amazing. Perfect blend of flavors. I'm horribly lazy and had it delivered so it was a little pricey but if you know you're lazy, you're willing to pay delivery and tip. Highly recommend!

Mike C.

Yelp
Small but food and service is great. I had chicken, fried rice w/ scallions and bacon. dragon sauce.

Rob V.

Yelp
So happy I tried it. Great flavor, I had teriyaki chicken over rice . And a chicken egg roll. It's a qt container and there was a lot of chicken and vegetables in it . The rice was at the bottom. In fact I was surprised that there wasn't more rice. A great portion for this dish . The eggroll was good and not greasy .. the dragon sauce was really good. Spicy but not too hot .

Cameron L.

Yelp
I'll be brutally honest, if you're going to open up a Chinese restaurant in the heart of Huntington you better come correct. If I wanted ordinary Chinese food quality take out I would go to one of the various hole in the wall take out places in the area. I was expecting higher quality chicken..etc. and product. You're not going to last in this area with mediocre product.

Sky J.

Yelp
Expensive to add any basic items to your customized wok container - fried egg which consists of tiny broken up pieces of eggs for $1- steak is tiny pieces as well, 0 quality. Wings were very salty, I'm sorry to say but this place isn't that great. Could be great if just tried harder.

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Greasy, fatty, salty, meat was fatty, chicken was dry and cut into tidbits, very sparse vegetables, weird rice. These were wok bowls. Son got a rash around his mouth. We threw our food in the garbage. Gave us the wrong egg rolls. They were greasy and flat. Sauces too smoky for me. Called and saw manager who said he would get back yo me but never did.

C W.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed the first time we ordered from Wok N' Roll, but we thought we'd give it one more try. Very disappointed this time. Our main dishes were very salty; chicken teriyaki and garlic beef. We also ordered wings for an app. They were difficult to eat because they were also doused with salt! We threw half of them away. Minimal filling in egg rolls. They also neglected to include the dipping sauce, which was an extra charge. They charge for all extras... sauces, etc. Also, not much to choose from on the menu. We won't be ordering again and will not recommend to friends. Thumbs down!

Erica S.

Yelp
Tried this place twice - some of the items were inedibly salty and overall was mediocre. Noodles over cooked and menu items limited. Wouldn't return.

Heather W.

Yelp
Loved the concept of some of the dishes, but most of the food was very salty. I liked the heat in Born to be Wild but it was overpowered by the salt. Not sure I'd try again.

Samantha Z.

Yelp
Really tasty and easy place for lunch or dinner. You get a lot of food for the price and there are plenty of options. Zucchini noodles are a great alternative to have a healthy option and accommodate different diets. Very pleased!

Anthony D.

Yelp
Chinese with a twist. Food was good and fresh. Reasonably priced I would definitely eat there again.
