If you get a chance to sit at the carousel bar, do so for the fun, unique experience! Such a well-designed bar with great drinks according to my husband. I was pregnant at the time but they were accommodating and were able to make mocktails for me.

Overall rating: 4.7 Wowowowowowow. SO BEAUTIFUL. I somehow went during it’s re-opening and it was a magical experience. Note I’m visiting from the East coast, so if you’re a local, maybe magical is too strong of a word 😅 My cousin and I did a drink each and shared a bowl of fries all on the Happy Hour menu. Total $30. The carousel is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so friendly! I definitely want to come back and try the food. Highly recommend!

My friend and I had a great time as we always do when we go out. The Carousel Bar was super busy. We had reservations-but didn’t know you had to special request to sit at the carousel bar top so we sat at a regular dining table. The food was delicious -I mean everything we ordered was so good. We ordered a bottle of sparking wine-and had to serve ourselves as the server had so many tables she really couldn’t get back to our table very often. That’s the only critique that the service was slow…but she was nice when she did come to the table. Management didn’t notice and didn’t jump in like I would have expected. So my tips would be just to not go when you are on a time constraint. 😇

Aesthetically, this places rates 100 ⭐⭐⭐! Only had cocktails, which were presented beautifully & we're as lovely as the decor. The service was fine. The ladies at the door were adorable & Sat us immediately at the carousel, even without a reso! What luck. It's Little Italy so parking gets 0 stars.

Google
Well-themed bar that calls for a wonderful experience. Things you should know: I. PARKING There are limited, free street parking spaces out front of the bar. However, they fill on the weekend so you'll need to prepare to opt in for paid street parking in Little Italy. II. SERVICE They offer a happy hour menu during certain times of the day with good deals. Everything we ordered came out in a timely manner. I highly recommend sitting at the bar! III. QUALITY The theme is immaculately planned out. The booths have carousel horses parading up and down above the tables and the bar itself slowly turns. This place is extremely photogenic. Also, the beignets are a hit! Highly recommend trying them with the lemon curd sauce! IV. CAPACITY We came on a Friday, before dinner hours, at 4:30 and found seats easily without a reservation!

Google
Saturday late night happy hour sounds amazing! Then you realize something's up because this should be one of the most busy times. This carousel bar is a really fun gimmick and I'd recommend trying it once. The drinks and the rest of it are just okay. Service was very hit and miss and we were given really misleading information at times. Our server was always gone so it was hard to place orders and stuff. Cocktails were mostly a miss ngl so I would say it's only worth it if its happy hour. Surprisingly, the mocktails were great so if you're the dd there's something for you. The hostess might tell you that the carousel bar seating will take a while but we noticed it was mostly open/clear the whole night so idk what happened. Drinks: 5/10 Service: 4/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Value: 5/10

I have dined here twice now since it changed over to Wilma’s and the SDCM group has done it again! I am a big fan of all their restaurants, and they really improved this place. I love the small bites menu, everything we ate was delicious. They have one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life. I recommend coming here on a weekday or Sunday evening when it is a bit quieter for a more relaxing experience, or a weekend if you want more of a party vibe.

Google
This place is so cool! Truly something you have to experience if you are from San Diego or just visiting! This place has such an elegant, detailed design inside. The bar is literally a massive carousel inside, spinning slowly, and then there are tables in the rest of the building where you can sit and order food or drinks. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink that tasted really gross, but the waitress got me a new drink for no extra charge! She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the drinks. The bouncer/security guard at the front entrance was also THE NICEST security guard I have ever met in my extire life. He did his job in a professional manner, but also didnt feel judgey or cold like most security are. He was so welcoming and thoughtful. It was raining outside when we got here, and he invited us to stand under the covered entrance while he checked our ID cards; most security guards wouldn't care if guests were getting rained on. This guy was different! He also said goodnight to us as we left! Cheers to him and our really nice waitress! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Such a cute bar! My partner and I sat at the carousel and it was so fun! For those who may be worried about getting dizzy or nauseous, it rotates at a slow pace and makes a full rotation at almost 18 minutes (yes, we timed it lol). We got a couple drinks, which were excellent, but we honestly came for the beignets! We had dined at B&R and our server recommended this spot. Our bar tender was Fabiana, she was really great, easy to talk to, and checked in an appropriate amount of times with us. There were also hooks underneath the bar to hand purses or even a small sweater.

Yelp
We love coming here for the food and the ambience , the carousel is quite cool as it slowly rotates as you sit at the bar. The menu is small but everything we have tried has been very tasty, and they have a really nice drink selection. One thing we do keep coming back for our the beignets, they are epic! They are light and fluffy and they bring them out piping hot, and they have a couple dipping sauces. the standard that comes every time is the lemon curd which is amazing, and then the second one is always some type of jam such as raspberry or mango. We will often eat somewhere else and then go over there later to get the beignets and a drink. Highly recommend, great place!

Yelp
Great food, excellent service, very good drinks Dinner was great and there's a carousel in the middle of everything. Stare at the wall art.

Yelp
TLDR: Food is not great, but the drinks and vibes are great! Don't expect the best service. However, definitely recommend everyone to come at least once for the cutest Instagram pictures. Pros: - Free glass of champagne for your birthday - Carousel inside makes for the cutest Instagram pictures and yes it actually does move! Just VERY slowly. The tables on the right also are decorated with carousel horses - Booth seats are very comfy - Beignets are DELICIOUS!!! They (after taking pictures) was my favorite thing here. They come warm, with two sauces and the portion is huge! - Online reservation system (does require $10 deposit through OpenDoor) - Decent parking nearby Cons: - Not vegan options, limited vegetarian options. (honestly, just not a lot of food options in general) - Food is not great. My gnocchi was tasteless and seemed as if it was simply a frozen gnocchi they just warmed up and put sauce on. Friend's burger came out cold, same with her fries - The hostess who sat me and greeted us as we entered seems to absolutely hate his job. Not sure if he had a bad day or what but his annoyance of just seemingly our presence rubbed me the wrong way when we were being sat, especially since I came here to celebrate my birthday - Service is very slow. They don't check in with you a lot. - Small drink size

Yelp
Such a beautiful restaurant and bar! The decor is unique and whimsical, of course the rotating bar is the star of the show. We made a reservation for lunch on Saturday at 1pm and the restaurant was nearly empty so we were seated immediately by the open window. Unfortunately, inbound jets landing at the airport fly directly overhead and are extremely close and loud which is jarring and negatively impacts the otherwise dreamy atmosphere every few minutes. If I were to dine here again, I'd ask to be seated as far from the window as possible. Of course, we had to try the beignets. They're served with a lemon custard and jam and we all agreed they're better than Cafe du Monde in NOLA. The espresso martini was on point, as was their signature Wolfie's Fantasy cocktail. A few of us planned to order the brûlée French toast and crispy potatoes but were informed they had run out of both, which was disappointing. For a restaurant to run out of anything is frustrating, especially given this very limited menu and brunch is served until 3pm. French toast and potatoes aren't specialty ingredients so this suggests poor planning/management. I ordered the Croque Monsieur which was just okay. The brioche seemed stale and the ham was overcooked and dry. Thankfully the mornay sauce was ample and added some moisture to the dish. The salad was good. We also shared the Pain au Chocolat croissant with berries, also good but the croissant was very dry. Others ordered the Crab Benedict and a few other dishes, I didn't try but they looked pretty. High marks for the beautiful decor and gorgeous plating. Our server was fantastic and attentive and gave great descriptions of the menu items and cocktails. There are a few items on the dinner menu that sound good, I'd definitely return for cocktail hour at the bar but the fact they ran out of food makes me hesitant to go back for a meal at any time.

Yelp
Sit at the bar and ride the carousel! This bar is so cool and the bartenders are personable and make delicious cocktails. Patrick was one of them and made sure we were taken care of and even made sure to check with our dietary needs! Happy Hour for the win!

Yelp
Heads up-- if you get motion sickness, the rotating bar is not for you lol . Lucky for you though, there are tables to dine at if that were the case (: Hubby and I had another event to attend to in the area, but we were early and needed to kill some time . We parked and happened to be right out front of Wolfie's carousel bar and decided to stop by since it been bookmarked for us for way toooo long ! We walked in and were greeted by the hostess right away who asked if we wanted a table-- but, of course we decided to sit at the famous rotating carousel bar !! The bartenders were super inviting and fun to be around . Hubby and I ordered 3 drinks and an appetizer since we had dinner reservations at another spot . Here's what we thought -- Cabernet-- red wine . Warm, comforting, and got the job done . It was smooth and welcoming . St barts-- she was Instagram ready. So pretty, yet strong . Garnished well and fun to sip on . If you want a tropical vacay in your mouth-- get this . Dark rum with pineapple . Lager on tap-- fresh, clean, reminded me of a super crisp bougie Modelo . I loved it . Pomme frittes-- fancy garlic truffle fries were perfection . Flavor was not too overwhelming, fries were cooked beautifully, and the dipping sauce was the STAR OF THE SHOW... SOOO TASTY ! It was giving honey mustard garlic aioli deliciousness . Overall, the ambiance and vibes here were everything . So pretty and charming ! I would love to come back and dine in for dinner to try the rest of their menu out .

Yelp
What a fun place ! It is immaculately decorated ! And the man (may have been manager ) immediately told my niece about a painting on the wall with hidden items which she spent time searching for. Fabian's was our waitress and she was sooo great. Very attentive and knowledgeable and we took all her recommendations and I'm so glad we did. I got the espresso martini which was wonderful enjoyed it so much I drank a bit before remembering to take a pic. My family shared food here's what we got Heirloom salad - delicious and so fresh! Steak frites- so good Gnocchi - so good Beef bourguir- I know that spelling is off but it was delicious . Such tender meat and delicious vegetables For dessert we had the beignets and for someone who went to New Orleans to eat beignets ... these may have been the best ones I've had ... and I mean it! So soft and delicious. Such a fun time ! Also the bathroom is a pink dream!!!

Yelp
My four girlfriends and I were so excited to dine here last night during a girls' weekend. Sadly, this place this did not live up to our expectations. The highlights of the restaurant: revolving carousel; cute & fun vibe (bathrooms are also super cute); and pretty cocktails The downside of the restaurant/dining experience: Heirloom tomato salad was fresh, but could've used a bit more dressing; steak and fries were very mediocre; and the surprise 5% surcharge that was automatically added to our bill. When we asked about the surcharge, we were told it's to help with the cost of operations & that a disclaimer is stated on the menu. We asked to see the menu since none of us had noticed it. Turns out there's a fine print in pale yellow font on the back of the menu & very easy to miss with the dark restaurant lighting. I hate restaurants that nickel and dime you. It just cheapens the experience. They should just add on the extra cost to the menu prices instead of a surcharge at the end of the bill. This totally downgraded our dining experience. We won't be returning.

Yelp
Wolfie's Carousel Bar is a charming French restaurant adorned with delightful carousel decorations that add a whimsical touch to your dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of elegance and nostalgia. Indulge in the culinary delights offered by Wolfie's, starting with escargot and French bread, a classic French delicacy. The oysters Rockefellers provide a burst of flavor, while the steak with fries satisfies even the heartiest appetites. Don't forget to sip on their delicious cocktails, which perfectly complement the meal.

Yelp
The ambiance is super cool and unique! This is definitely the place I would recommend to someone who is looking for a "picture perfect" brunch. It also gets insanely packed, so i would highly suggest a reservation. The food is alright, not that great. The presentation of the food is so cute! I found the beignets to be a bit dry, and the rest of the meal was just pretty bland. I don't think I would go back, but it was a fun one time experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant! We looove the vibe here. We came for happy hour around 4pm in a Friday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. Recommendetion: - get the oysters!! These were so good we ordered 7 dozens - sliders - mussels

Yelp
Came here with a large party for my best friend's birthday brunch not too long ago, we had a reservation and got seated pretty quickly. Parking here is rough since it is located in Little Italy -- there's only street parking (to my knowledge) and we ended up having to park a block away. Menu seemed pretty limited and a lot of us ended up ordering the same few things. I got the Croque Madam and my boyfriend got the French Omelet along with an order of Crispy Maison Potatoes to share. The server was very attentive and helped us with everything we needed! Before I dive into my thoughts about the food, I definitely want to applaud Wolfie's decor and ambiance! The carousel + cages are a very cool and whimsical touch to the restaurant/bar and really helped tie everything together for the overall theme! Unfortunately, the decor doesn't quite make up for how mediocre the food is. First off, why are all the salads so salty?? To be honest, everything tasted like it was over salted, but the salad in specific tasted like I was eating a forkful of salt with some greens. On the bright side, the food looked picture perfect though! However, in my boyfriend's words, "The French omelet was bland, salad was super salty, and the whole dish was just underwhelming overall." That pretty much summed up how I felt about my meal too. The highlight of the food was actually the crispy potatoes -- which were hot and had a great crunch to it. Unfortunately, it was also pretty bland and wouldn't have tasted half as good if we didn't have ketchup with it. Overall, the ambience and decor of the restaurant is why I would consider coming back, but with the menu being so limited and overpriced -- I would probably just go elsewhere for brunch.

Yelp
Came in at 9:15 and was told last call was already called. 45 minutes before close. Curt and dismissive employees.

Yelp
A couple of work friends let me drag them here after work. I'm always a little worried when I suggest a place that it may not pan out and I will let down my coworkers. This was definitely not the case here. We came in on a Wednesday night. They allowed us to sit at the bar for a drink before taking a table to eat our dinner. We sat at the bar for one full rotation, and it was quite the experience. The drinks are fabulous. I didn't want alcohol and asked about mocktails. The bartender pulled out a small menu of mocktails and they did not disappoint. I think I had Le beau, I loved the orgeat in it. After our rotation we moved to a table. Honestly when I found this place, I was a bit worried because the menu was so small. Three of us orders steak one ordered muscles and the other ordered the gnocchi. Everybody was really happy with what they had selected. Steak was excellent. I ordered it rare and it came rare cut up nice and beautiful. The presentation was nice and the food was delicious , then we ordered dessert. We had beignets which were nice and hot when they arrived to our table. They were served with a mango jam and a mouth watering lemon curd. We also shared the Mille fueille. The blackberries in this dessert were big, juicy and sweet. Ever I've had a great time and we all agreed we'd love to visit again for the fantastic food, service, ambiance and good value.
google avatar

Steffie M.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere, server could have better knowledge of food on menu with better descriptions. I asked what her favorite item and she didn't have one. Make something up at least lol

Mia P.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is beautiful and such a vibe. Although the staff gives off the vibe of just that, they know people go regardless. We were not greeted upon arrival although arriving at 2pm with only two other parties in the space. We were left to guess whether to enter or not, my biggest pet peeve, act like you want customers. When they decide to acknowledge your presence you are left aimlessly at the bar until they again decide to stop ignoring you. After being served you're also not payed attention to whether you may be ready for the next drink or not. I'm not a customer who expects the utmost amazing 10/10 customer service but i would like to be glanced at at-least. I also understand the point of view being the customer vs the server or bartender in this case and being considerate and socially aware or what not but there was truly no reason for us to be disregarded so badly. Beautiful space needs more beautiful and kind employees...
google avatar

Yelp
This is a really cool place to check out. The ambiance is very unique and the food and drinks are on point! The menu is French and everything about this place is so unique. The inside of the restaurant has a literal carousel in it. If you sit at the bar, the bar slowly turns. The exterior seating is also designed like a carousel and very clever. Our food was really good and high quality. Our server did a great job on describing options and everyone found something they really liked. Our cocktails were very unique and delicious! Definitely check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
Simply amazing is how I would describe my experience at Wolfie's Carousel Bar. From the delicious food, the atmosphere and aesthetics to the service absolutely no complaints. Everything I ate and drank was outstanding. It was perfect for a girls date evening. We all enjoyed ourselves and all said would return
google avatar

Er3yn G.

Yelp
This is one of those places you see on instagram and bookmark saying "We gotta check this out one day!" Well we finally did. For a Saturday night at 10pm I was surprised to walk right in and find two spots at the rotating bar. There is table service with food you can reserve before time. But let's be honest, we came for the cocktails. I'm not sure what I ordered but it had egg whites. Something I wouldn't normally do but we were celebrating! And honestly I'd get it again. I only give it four stars because of service. We had two bartenders. The lady was nice, personable. Would even stop to have a conversation with us mid mixing. The man seemed like we were a pain to be served when we didn't even order anything special. But overall, if you're in the area, this is a must do for its once in a lifetime experience.
google avatar

Jenna V.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this spot. The happy hour is definitely worth going to. I enjoyed my wine and petite cheese plate. The figs paired with the cheeses and bread were excellent. Service was not bad, but I think the bartenders could have been more attentive. If service was improved upon, I think this place could easily earn 5 stars. The ambiance is awesome. I plan to come back in the future.
google avatar

Sandra P.

Yelp
This place is magical. I personally think the best seat is in the middle where the carousel is. It spins slowly but it still spins so if you get motion sick I don't recommend it. The cocktails here are elegant and they are definitely craft cocktails. I can't remember if the service Was good or bad because I was just more focused on the whole environment here. I am going to say that it was good service because I had 5 cocktails ‍.
google avatar

Aalia S.

Yelp
I love this place! I have been twice during the day and it's such a pretty bar. I like their wine selection and their cocktails. I have tried just their baguette and that was tasty! Yes, you really do move but the bar stays still!
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner for one of our friends and we had a ball. This was our first time trying escargot, let's just say it was a hit. Especially the garlic herb butter it came in worked great for dipping our baguette slices. Our waiter was the shit and took care of us when the water would run low and with our drinks. These drinks are guaranteed to have you buzzing just from one. We also ordered the 1/2 dozen oysters and they were fresh with the perfect mignonette to pair it with. Wagyu tartare was also a hit, that brioche toast it came with was finger-licking goodness. For our entree we kept it classy and ordered the burger royale. Talk about flavor with every bite. We had to take the rest home since we couldn't finish it. Y'all know we had to get dessert so ummm yeah beignets was the decision. So good and fresh out the oven. I would recommend you definitely come here with an appetite. Parking can be tricky but you can get lucky on the lot across or the street. The decor and the awesome bar makes this place a hit. The bar itself rotates which is so cool and the booths with the horses go up and down just like a carousel. Great spot overall!
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this bar. How fun is to go to the bar where there is active carousel that moves around while people are enjoying themselves at the bar. If you did not get a spot at the bar, don't fret as booths are equally cool with carnival themed horses going up and down. Pretty unique experience and certainly worth checking out!
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
Ugh. If you are looking to get laid at a high price with someone who is impressed that you spent a lot on money in a place with a carousel, this is your place. But only if your opposite is vapid and pretentious. In that case, don't give them your home address. Food was cold. Staff was unknowledgeable. Bouf Bourginon was like Alpo. Frites, cold. Escargots, no shell and unrecognizable. Moules, mushy. Come on! This is French bistro food. How can you mess that up up? I'd say go to Parc Bistro. No revolving eye candy but really good food.
google avatar

Yelp
Seen Wolfies on social media for a few years, but it was great finally getting to go in person. My friend made a reservation so we didn't need to wait. Since we came earlier than our reservation time we were able to find parking on the streets. Decided to sit at the rotating bar for some drinks while waiting for another friend. I got the delicious strawberry mimosa. The bar slowly rotates, but if you are sensitive to motion sickness you may opt for a regular table. We opted for a regular table after our friend arrived. They have a French-inspired menu. The crab benedict was calling my name after having run 13.1 miles before coming here. We ended our meal with some beignets which were so good. I like how their menu isn't a whole laundry list of items, but just enough to satisfy different tastes and cravings. Our waiter was friendly and great at recommending stuff off the menu.

Yelp
Wolfie's is a great venue! Whether it's for date night, girls night out or just an after work meet up, you can't go wrong. Firsts thing first, the prices are just tad bit higher for my taste, esp nowadays when everything is inflated! The food was really good- think Paris chic! Again a bit overpriced, but good none the less. We tried a plethora of apps which I'll list below! Escargots [$21] -came with 5-6 snails in a kind of too salty sauce & cheese, Half a dozen Oysters [$22] -super good & fresh! Wanted more of it Waygu Tartare [$21] shareable plate, came w/plenty of toast, was really tasty Fromage du Jour [$28] can't have girls night w/out a charcuterie board! This one was really good, only complaint is it should've came with meats! But nonetheless a really app. Main courses were good, too, just nothing too special. Been to other restaurants with better French cuisine & more affordable. The beignets were fire, can't miss those! A mound of them (I'm talking like 10 fluffy pieces) was only priced at $15. Everyone loved em! Came w/2 diff dipping sauces. The mixed drinks were well made, a lot of them at about $16 & up price points so again, a bit pricey. The service from start to finish was incredibe! The ambience was cool & of course the decor was brilliant. Definitely instagram worthy & loved that our waitress offered to take pics even before we can ask. Parking in that part of town is a hit or miss so wishing you all the best! Wolfie's is super cool!
google avatar

Shar M.

Yelp
Absolutely breathtaking venue! No detail was left unattended to. From the spinning carousel bar to the merrily dancing horsies playfully dipping above your semi-private caged booth, you can tell the owners had vision! Even the beautiful wallpaper follows the theme with carousel horses hidden in the delightful pattern. If French is your pallet's desire...go no further... Pommes frites and the most incredible French onion soup you'll ever have awaits. Be prepared to wait for your cocktails here though. These aren't your standard bar drinks. Every libation served here is nothing short of a work of art. I really love the name 'Wolfie' too. A+ experience Parking is tough so Uber it here and take a nice walk after through beautiful Little Italy.

Yelp
SHITTY SERVICE !!! Bartenders are the worse and are so rude. Definitely not worth going to.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute place with great service. The espresso martini is delicious along with the warm beignets. There was a car rental place there. The only disappointment was the horses didn't have names. We took it upon ourselves to name the one above us (the middle one) Wolf.

Yelp
We came here for a girls night out on a weeknight. The interior is really cute. The bar rotates just like a carousel, and the bathrooms are really cute with pink vintage wallpaper. Good for a date night! However it does get pretty dark, especially at the tables so eating is not as satisfying. We ordered drinks and small bites. Really enjoyed the fries. The salad we got was ok. We also ordered olives. Everything came to $28 per person, which is pretty pricy. Service was good, but it took a while to get our bill. Parking is on the street, and the area is not so nice. I don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately.

Yelp
What a shame , the service was absolutely terrible! Waitress came once and never came back. Dry water glasses for over 1 hour sitting, never asked if we wanted to order a main course, never came to check on us one time. I asked three times for help, Alex was our waitress and it was extremely disappointing. We even had a reservation and were treated like trash. The place is pretty on the inside, but the service and the food , worst I've ever experienced.

Yelp
The ambience in this place is 10 out of 10 amazing. From the rotating bar to the carousel horse booths. A very fun experience. The menu is French themed, everything is fresh, delicious, flavorful, and just mouse watering. Even the butter is better. We highly enjoyed our experience here. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Typical fashion I start a review, then it gets lost in the drafts. It happens that way. I checked this place out in the earlier part of this year. It's so beautiful in there. The Carousel Bar is much more captivating in person. If you get there early no problem getting a seat. I went on a random week day so there was not an issue either way. Would you expect anything less then phenomenal from such a beautiful venue? The steak tartare a must try. The cocktails - were delicious.

Yelp
Inventive and delicious cocktails, food well prepared, environment unmatched. Highly recommend. If you go to the bathroom, take your phone because you will want to take a picture (men's and women's).

Yelp
I was looking forward to giving Wolfie's Carousel Bar a 5-star review. However, after my group of 4 finished eating here, we were highly unsatisfied and tbh, utterly shocked by the way our server handled our bill. Let me elaborate... I'll back up by saying how nice it was to walk down the street and see the iconic Wolfie's storefront. Walking in, you'll immediately see the gorgeous carousel! Super cool to see that it actually does rotate (well, the floor does). The bar seats do move slowly around the carousel, so I wouldn't suggest sitting there if you're a lightweight with your liquor or are sensitive to motion. We were seated right away, which was nice on a Saturday night. Got there a bit past 9 pm, and there were a few tables available. Our server, whose name is Steven B. as it is printed on the receipt (or is it MICHAEL?! --- keep reading) came and introduced himself to us, and gave us more time as we hadn't yet decided on what to get. When he came back, he took my drink order, and my friends decided they were going to pass on the alcoholic drinks. We did order the Baguette, Dozen Oysters, and Pomme Frites. Everything was fine, no arguments with the food except the Frites were a bit too salty. My drink was tasty. Prices are average for a restaurant in San Diego's Little Italy. One of my friends had asked Steven for the bill as he started to clear our table. He agreed and continued to clear the empty plates. I think he came back at least twice and still hadn't brought the paper bill over. As he picked up another plate, my other friend very politely asked him for the bill once again, because idk... maybe he forgot?! He was standing next to my friend, but facing me. The LOOK on his face when my friend asked him for the bill that second time was just... I don't even have the words! He didn't say anything, but looked right at me with the slightest eyeroll that I read as, "OMG, are you f*cking kidding me?!", put the plate back down on the table, and turned with the most attitude I have ever seen from a server in my entire life!! All of us looked at each other like WTF?!?! He obviously did not want to be there, and maybe he was having a bad night, but there's a Google review out there that will tell you the same thing. I kid you not. When he finally returned with the paper bill in hand, he placed it on the table and continued picking up our dishes and glassware. I asked nicely, "What's your name again?" to which he replied, "Michael." HUH?! I thanked him and smiled as he walked away. 2 stars for a cool ambiance, and good vibe with a good menu offering. I even feel like 2 stars is being very generous!! I would love to come back here, but I don't think any of us will be returning if "Steven Michael" is still working here. I hope management reads this and acts accordingly. Steven Michael is bad juju, and he needs a severe attitude adjustment or just plain needs to go bye-bye. You've been warned. I hope if you come here, you get any other server EXCEPT Steven Michael!! =P

Yelp
Food: tasty but overpriced. I would highly recommend the beignets which are both delicious and a generous portion Service: friendly and efficient! Ambiance: maybe we just went at the wrong time? My friend and I came here on a Thursday at 11 am and were basically the only people there. When this place is empty it's reminiscent of an abandoned amusement park which is a little unsettling. Also they were doing construction on the other side of the wall we were sitting next to so despite the restaurant being empty, we couldn't hear each other or our server

Yelp
Its really cute inside with a revolving carousel. I was so looking forward to this. Only 5 items for the main course. Cold food, loud music, escargot without shells (who does this?) and brought salads out with the main course. Very disappointed. If you want overpriced drinks and a crappy menu, go here. The cold food was the biggest problem.

Yelp
I finally made it to Wolfie's Carousel Bar after years of trying! It was worth the wait. We had reservations for 7 on a Friday. It is an experience from the minute you walk in. I'm from New Orleans and have been to the Montelone Carousel Bar many times. This definitely gives the experience of the original. The bar does rotate slowly which makes it super cool. Check out the paintings overhead for Easter eggs! The food and drinks were great. Plenty of unique and creative cocktails and good wine selection. Definitely get a glass of the Bordeaux if you get the fromage for an out of this world experience. The escargot, fries, heirloom tomato salad, and baguette were all great. We had the bourgingnion, steak frites, and French onion soup for our meals. Perfection is the only word to use. Shannon took amazing care of us and we thank her!!

Yelp
This place has been trending all over Instagram, and I was looking forward to finally paying it a visit. Needless to say, I was kind of kind of underwhelmed. Overall, the drinks are really good and the overall location and ambience was beautiful. But everything on the menu, cocktails included, super overpriced. There wasn't anything on their dinner menu that necessarily caught my eye. My table decided to just do a couple rounds of cocktails and order a charcuterie board to share. Additionally, this location sits in the middle of the little Italy area. We circled for about 30 minutes to finally getting a parking spot, so that may have influenced my visit to this place as well. Overall, beautiful restaurant, but other than the cool vibe, there wasn't much for me to come back for.

Yelp
What a cute spot! The only drawback is that it does get really dark which makes it hard to see but I get that it's for the ambiance. It's a cool spot for a first date or a girls night out. We ordered shareable items for the table and a few drinks. The fries were definitely a hit. Parking is limited, mostly street parking. There are parking lots across and around the corner.

Yelp
This place is a rip-off. I'm not sure how four drinks equals $100 before the tip. I'm blocking the server's name as a courtesy, although his recommendation of a gin selection of $20 a drink is ridiculous. Plus, a $6 upcharge for bleu cheese olives in a dirty martini? You've got to be joking.. As a comparison, we went to Mister A's the next day - 4 drinks, an appetizer, and an entree for $125. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

Yelp
Aesthetic Tasty Fast I came here with a small group of four to kill some time before our dinner reservations around the corner. We each had a quick drink and ordered some fries to hold us over. Fries were a little over cooked to my liking, but the rest of my group seemed to like them! The aoli, or whatever sauce it was that came with the fries - was yummy which made up for being over cooked. I had the espresso martini (pictured on the right) which was absolutely delicious! I would 10/10 order it again. Perfect for a quick, Instagram friendly drink!

Yelp
I do like this place, I think it's a really fun place to bring people visiting, but as a local, I think it may not be worth the hype. I love the whole theme, and even the bathroom goes with the theme, so perfectly, but everything is so over priced . I'm glad I've been, I'm glad I can say I've been, but I don't feel the need to go again. I went at like 1 PM on a weekday, and we had just about the whole carousel to ourselves. Pretty slow, but given the time it is understandable. We got the cheese plate and it was very tasty. The drinks that we got were also very good , we had the bartender to our self, and he did just fine. No major complaints, however, I can see this place being very crowded at different times of the day

Yelp
Amazing concept. Drinks are always great. This is my second time visiting and will always come back when in little Italy. Service was fast and staff was knowledgeable. The ambiance is fantastic and really cool to sit at a rotating bar top.

Yelp
This was a cute little restaurant. The main attraction is the giant carousel. The seating area around the carousel moves around slowly. The food is more along the lines of French cuisine. The drinks are cute and unique. They just looked so cute. I was driving so I got the lemonade. Which was made freshly. I loved the nice cold tartness of my drink. We got some appetizers. And shared a little if everything. POMME FRITES 9 MAISON AÏOLI BAGUETTE 8 MAISON BUTTER, SHALLOT ASH, MALDON SALT FRENCH ONION SOUP GRATINÉE 18 BROTH. COMTE FINE HERBS. MALDON SALT The pomme frites with the Aioli was good. Flavorful. The baguette was so warm and soft. The butter was really good. The French onion soup was very rich in flavor. I would come back here for dinks and appetizers.

Yelp
Absolutely delighted with the steak and fries at Wolfie's Carousel Bar! A five-star experience that left my taste buds dancing. I wasn't expecting a lot of food once my friends told me not too. It was a good surprise. Perfect blend of flavors! Parking can be tricky if you choose a weekend to stop by. Great location if you plan to go dance after dinner tho. We had a girls night and we decided to grab the champagne bottle + a side of OJ, waaaay cheaper than just buying separate drinks for each of us! Best idea ever, hopefully I can help someone to do the same lol

Yelp
Wolfie's is an adorably charming spot located in the heart of San Diego! Steps away from Little Italy, it's truly a gem that must be experienced in you're in the area! Parking is mostly metered or restricted to 15/30 minutes in marked spaces with a few free spots right in front of the bar/restaurant- there's also paid/metered parking everywhere. We got there minutes before opening at 4pm. As we stepped into the sidewalk we were literally greeted by a carpet of rose petals leading up to the entrance- SO cute!!! Without a reservation we were still able to get a lovely table inside. Our hostess was super friendly & attentive. Our waitress was, well, 'meh'. Not great/not bad... Service was a bit bland and slow, but not awful. But you really come here for one thing- the ambiance... it's amazing!!! The carousel bar literally spins?! It literally moves at a super slow pace- so slow you might not notice unless you're looking to see it. And the 3 beautiful carousel horses actually move up and down- it's SO cute!!! We were starving so we ordered the wagyu burger and it was solid! It came with a huge serving of French frites with a yummy garlicky mayo dipping sauce and cornichons. Drinks were also nice! Noise level was average and we loved the playlist! Such a fun, happy vibe! Do be forewarned that if you're by the window, expect to be serenaded by the loud sound of low-flying planes on their way to the nearby airport. Other than that, it lived up to all of my expectations and more. Will be back to visit at night when the carousel is all lit up! Most definitely recommend Wolfie's to anyone in the SD area!
