Wolfs Junge

"The accent here is on sustainable, regional cuisine, the very epitome of “nose to tail” eating. The ingredients are sourced from selected producers with some of the vegetables and herbs grown by the restaurant itself. Serves simple midday fare such as home-made bratwurst and an ambitious, creative set menu including Angeln Saddleback, kimchi and fermented onion in the evenings." - Michelin Inspector

Nicely prepared dishes with all local ingredients. Creative ingredients and compositions. We think the wine selection should be a bit wider than local, and the same goes for after dinner drinks. No whisky or cognac available, only local berry or fruit distilled stuff which isn’t our cup of tea.

It was amazing!! As a slow food recognised restaurant, there is so much meaning behind their concept & you can taste that with every single bite you taste!! I’ve also phoned ahead to let them know I required gluten-free options and it wasn’t a problem at all! It was simply amazing!! Service was outstanding, too!! Thank you for this amazing experience!!

Great little restaurant with a very friendly and forthcoming service. The menu doesn't include dozens of dishes but focusses on a few based on fresh and seasonal products prepared to perfection. I can highly recommend this place

We’ve had a wonderful evening and the best vegan menu EVER in Hamburg. The food was superb and the service, as well. I would absolutely recommend this to any foodie around. Please do try the wine recommendation and also go for the spirits in the end. We really did love it!

Very excited about the delicious food. We had 2 vegetarian and 2 omnivore menus. Each course was a pleasant surprise. Only the temperature in the restaurant could have been a bit warmer…

Overall our experience was at par/ slightly below expectations given the high price point. The food didn’t taste distinctive nor innovative enough and can be found at similar quality at a few other local restaurants. Prices seem to have increased significantly over the last 3 years, further fueling expectations of a more unique experience.

Outstanding restaurants. They offer only 2 menus, vegetarian or non-vegetarian. All its own made, they only use ingredients from the region, they reduce waste in all aspects. Awesome, convincing concept. If you are open to be guided to not-everyday-standard food - it is definitely the place to go! Already book a table upfront!
