Fellow Review - Westwood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Westwood Village is littered with generic fine dining spots catering to stuffy professor luncheons and UCLA parent weekends. If you need to go to one, make it Wolfsglen. The upscale spot on Glendon Ave. has good cocktails, a solid menu of steak frites and cacio e pepe, and a bright, airy space perfect for impressing a department head. If you’re by yourself or hoping to keep it casual with a friend, head right to the bar where you’ll find an excellent dry-aged burger with fries." - Brant Cox

A restaurant trying for upscale but stuck in limbo. Once dressed (with a different name) for fine dining, now leaning a blend of hotel lounge and suburban chain. The changes to its layout and menu have created a somewhat disjointed experience that is reflected in the food. It started strong with the calamari, the undisputed best dish of night. A satisfying crunch, silky squid, paired with a bright lemon aioli. The bone marrow & wagyu pastrami, while featuring good marrow, suffered from an overabundance of accompaniments that, frankly, obscured the pure meaty richness I was hoping for. The cacio e pepe attempted a classic with decent flavor profile, but the pasta was a touch too soft. It ends up forgettable. Unfortunately, the hangar steak, despite its promising appearance, was a chewy disappointment, a less than ideal conclusion to the entrees. Fries were fries. Add truffle, call it luxury. Nothing groundbreaking. Westwood’s not exactly brimming with great dinner spots, so Wolfsglen still holds some utility. Ultimately it left me wishing for the restaurant it used to be. Service was fine, but nothing felt personal. This place needs to decide who it wants to be. Right now it’s too expensive to be casual, too uneven to be refined.

Excellent option before Geffen theater. Staff very attentive and aware of theater timing. Delicious tuna on sticky rice , kampachei credo, and brown butter labmeh. Reasonable wine prices.

I expected much more. The burger bun was not warm and the meat was overcooked. The fries were warm but not hot. It seemed like the burger and fries sat under the heat lamp and waited for the pizza which had a soggy crust, maybe taken out too early because the burger was ready? The flavor of the pizza was interesting with a lot of pear. It seems like there is a club late at night and while I liked the music selection, someone forgot to turn down the volume now that it was a restaurant. Too expensive for the quality.

Google
the food was delicious!! the hummus was exceptionally made with garlic and the vodka pasta was great. the decor and atmosphere inside were amazing as well; the only thing that tarnished this evening would be the service. our waiter was extremely rude overall, very unaccommodating to vegetarian diners, and unfortunately somewhat ruined the experience. would love to come here again with different service!

The vibes at Wolfsglen are immaculate. Walking in feels like stepping into a trendy loft in DTLA, with every detail, from the ceiling to the chairs, and even the art, exuding quality and style. The atmosphere is both chic and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. As for the food—mouthwatering is an understatement. Every dish left me craving more, and even after leaving, I found myself imagining just one more bite. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and satisfying. The staff? Lax yet attentive, striking the right balance between relaxed service and making sure you have everything you need. I left Wolfsglen stuffed and overjoyed, thrilled to have discovered this gem. It’s definitely going to be a frequent spot for me, and one I’ll be recommending to all my friends. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on atmosphere and flavor, this is it.

BEST DINNER IN WESTWOOD – PERFECT FOR GIRLS’ NIGHT OR DATE NIGHT! We left our bubble and trekked into the city for an event, and I’m so glad we did — Wolfsglen in Westwood was absolutely worth it! I went with a group of girlfriends and we ordered family style, which was the perfect way to try a variety of dishes. Honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say that every single plate was better than the one before. We loved everything we ordered: the Brussels sprouts, hummus, burrata salad, and the Gorgonzola pizza — all delicious, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is that perfect blend of upscale but relaxed — stylish and comfortable without feeling stuffy. The service was outstanding. There was always someone nearby ready to help, and every staff member we encountered was genuinely kind and attentive. A special shoutout to Baron, the manager and co-owner, who was incredibly hospitable and made us feel so welcome. I forgot to snap food photos (next time!), but I’ll be posting a shot of me and my friends enjoying our table. We’ll definitely be back. Whether you’re looking for a great restaurant for dinner with friends, a cozy date night spot in Westwood, or just some of the best food near UCLA, Wolfsglen is a must-visit.

Would have been 5 stars except for the server who took over when I server had to leave for the evening. He had white hair and blue eyes and was pretty awful from rude service to not putting in additional items and when we asked again he was like “you still want it” instead of apologizing or just correcting it. Our original server was awesome, she was welcoming and informative regarding the menu options. The food was terrific. BROWN BUTTER LABNEH and BONE MARROW & WAGYU PASTRAMI were my 2 favorites. The building was very cool!

Paris and Baron made my friend’s 21st birthday special! The ginger agave cider was good, and the atmosphere was even better. Whoever is in charge of the music playlist should get a raise!

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing. It superseded my expectations. I came here last Friday after work. I enjoyed the aesthetic & ambiance. It was very inviting. The music was on point. The DJ was doing his thing. My friend & I thought it was jazz night, but were still pleased with the playlist. Our server was kind, professional, & efficient. We ordered appetizers to nosh on. The brown butter labneh, brussel sprouts, mushroom arancini, & truffle fries. I had an espresso martini & my friend had a couple lemon drops. Every single item was fantastic. I've never experienced that before. The chefs really delivered that night. It was a euphoric & orgasmic experience. The food was savory & flavorful. Even the sauces were complimentary to the dishes. The only thing I wished was that the fries were long enough. They were a little short. My drink was stiff. Very strong. My friend was content with her drinks. They definitely hit the spot. This will be the new watering hole. I'm going to recommend this restaurant to my friends & coworkers. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The drinks were good, but wasn't a fan of the pizza. The dough on the bottom wasn't crisp so when you pulled it off the plate it flopped down and everything slid off. I had to eat it with a fork and knife. The crust was cooked fine, so that was a weird uneven cook. The service was also slow. My friend had to find us a waiter because we sat for a while without someone coming to take our order. Interior was nice and fun. Great for socializing, but I would only recommend going there for the drinks/cocktails.

Yelp
Have you noticed that I have been complaining that there are fewer interesting restaurants in Westwood than there were a couple of decades ago? Some of my old faves are gone but this weekend I forced myself to actually walk around Westwood Village a bit and discovered that, despite the preponderance of chains, a couple of indy spots are there. They are new to me but not necessarily to Westwood. Faith restored! Let's talk about one of them: Wolfsglen. I have nothing but good, if not great, things to say. It is conveniently located on Glendon, right in the heart of the action. This weekend it is clear the fall semester is underway and things were bustling. So much so that I worried I couldn't find good parking but did, right around the corner at a two hour meter. Yay! Lovely autumn temps and sunshine added to a nice little walk to Wolfsglen. It is a bit mysterious from the outside, but you get it once you go in. And, wow, it's spacious and modern. Very clean, the seats are comfy, there are screens for entertainment (a vintage movie and some clever electronic paintings, for example). The tables are sturdy marble, the cutlery is hefty, and the thick snow white napkins are actually made of linen. Wow. The menus shown online do not do the actual menus justice, especially for brunch. We were there around 1:30 pm and you can see all the offerings on one of my pictures. Plenty of stuff for vegetarians. All I had to do was ask that they hold the meat on one of my selections. I would call the list "Westwood fusion", reflecting the various tastes that populate this beautiful college town. The portions are really generous, the quality of the food is first rate, even the coffee was exceptional (Lavazza?). Our server, Eddie was so kind, generous, and charming that we were basically bowled over by him. He noticed things on the table, arranged everything for our comfort, brought the food in stages as if he read our minds, and then went even further to make this an exceptional experience by giving us little perks that made us vow to return. And, the tab was downright awesome -- we had to look twice to believe our eyes. The take home boxes are microwavable and dishwasher safe, and without any prompting Eddie brought us a tall bag for them. The fries were some of the best I have ever had, the labneh was so flavorful that I didn't want to stop eating it. There was a fresh Caesar salad side with something toasty and crunchy and garlicky on top. And, do you see the pita? Home made and top of the line. I am a baker, I know what it takes to make pita like that! As if that wasn't enough, there is entertainment twice a month, with dancing (!!) and a full bar if you just want to stop in for a snack and brew. Then, just to make sure I was over the moon, they sent me a thank you note for dining there. What?! Who does that!? I may miss some of the oldies, but Wolfsglen more than makes up for that. This may be the best place to eat in Westwood now. In fact, I could swear by that.

Yelp
Came here during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bites. My favorite was the arancini and the hummus and pita. I think it was overall a good experience but was not wowed. The vibes here are interesting in the day time - I think it might be better to come at night when there's no daylight out. Better for a moody night!

Yelp
Wolfsglen offers elevated cuisine in an intimate setting. I've only been for lunch on a few occasions, so I'm not sure what their dinner service is like, but the lunch service is very slow. Always polite, just slow. This isn't a knock on the server, I think it's more just being understaffed during early lunch. Everything I've had here has been really good. They have a pretty good burger, and I really enjoyed their Brown Butter Labneh. Time before last I tried their Gorgonzola and pear pizza, I can't remember all of the ingredients but can recall it being really good. This time around I tried their standard pepperoni pizza with fresh mozzarella. It was great!

Yelp
The food here is solid! The interior is elegant with neon accents. The portions were really generous as well! Our server was okay, the experience would've been better if he didn't urge us to order drinks.

Yelp
Definitely part of this pack! I'm an instant fan! Wolfsglen in Brentwood is really chic yet approachable. The food, drinks, and ambience are excellent. The service is phenomenal as well. I really enjoyed every part of the meal. I chose a little of everything and it didn't disappoint. The cocktails are wonderful as well. They're well balanced and pack a punch. They have wine and beer if you prefer those options as well. Bottom line try it! You won't regret it!

Yelp
A great experience...! I am way overdue on this review! That said, from staff to cuisine to the live music and overall ambiance... Just wonderful!

Yelp
My guest and I had a very good lunch meeting here. With the soaring LA heat, our bartender recommended an aperol spritzer. We shared the pea tendril salad and brown labneh, both were tasty and delicious. After, we shared the peach caprese pizza which ended perfectly for a light afternoon meal. It was nice the manager, Sammie, approached our table and asked how we were holding. Such great service, tasty food and cool ambiance.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious but the service could be vastly improved. This is my third time here. We previously had a birthday party for 15 upstairs in private room and that was fantastic. This review is for the experience on 4/3/2024 First, they put a party of 7 with reservation to a table for 6. We had to cram in very hard. One part of my fault is we actually had an extra person so 8. We asked to switch to a table that include 8 seat which they said no your party has 6. I insisted no we booked for 7. They put a party of 5 in a table for 8 ?? (See photo with blue heart) The food took SO LONG to come out. It took them 30-40 minutes after we ordered to get the food. Also the burger was supposed to be medium rare but received well done. Overall the other service is great. Those are just a few of my recent complaint. If you can't serve people well, don't overbook.

Yelp
There are a couple things I'd like to mention. The food is too expensive for what it really is. We ordered the salad which was 4 pieces of cucumber and a stack of beef. The rigatoni was also very underwhelming, only 4 pieces of shrimp. The service was fine, though when we received the check, we noticed it automatically charged a 20% gratitude without any notifiable way to verify that. Keep a keen eye on the receipt folks! Aside from this, the brown butter labneh was outstanding and the bolognese was also great. The building was also a nice environment, just not worth the money paid! Overall not too shabby, but also lots to keep an eye out for.

Yelp
At this exact location used to sit an LA legend, the Mustache Cafe! When it closed (20 years ago? Maybe longer?) I felt a precious piece of my Westwood memory went with it. When so friends invited me to dinner at Wolfsglen, I was a little afraid that I might be disappointed... but thanks to the wonderful team at Wolfsglen, I wasn't -- I was actually quite happy with the food, the service, and the nice dining experience here. The place was completely renovated (from my memory 20 years ago, of course) and has a modern and open vibe. Casual and relaxing but a flair of fine dining. The service was excellent; attentive but not too much. We (a party of 5) had the table right next to the entrance but felt like we had a space all to our own. We ordered a few appetizers but they were gone before I could snap any photos. Of the entrees, I think the pork chop is definitely the best -very tender and big enough to feed two. The hanger steaks were nice but seem a bit small. The cauliflower steak was nice too, for the vegetarians among us. The chocolate bomb was a blast! The ricotta donuts were tasty. All and all I'd say this place lived up to the old standards set by Mustache Cafe. Now, it may take them a while before they can reach the "legend" status, but I think they have a good chance!

Yelp
Here's my super biased review, because how much I love their spicy penne totally skews how I feel about this place overall lol. I've been here countless times since I take many trips in the area for work so this is an easy option due to their accessible menu and creative bar options. By far what I look forward to here is the spicy penne - their pasta is homemade and it shows. I always crave this dish when I visit and the sauce is absolutely divine. It's the kind of stuff you want to smear more bread in just to avoid wasting the sauce. Other dishes I've enjoyed include their steak options, their caesar salad and also their fries are excellent. The calamari was also good. The drinks here are also pretty stiff. Get ready to get woozy if you feel like you want to hit up some of their nice cocktails. They also serve up some real generous shots, so get ready to party. The service was ok. Sometimes it was solid, at times it was inattentive. But generally speaking it was fine. This place wasn't ever packed or anything but I still thought the food was pretty decent.

Yelp
As someone who's lived in Westwood for almost 6 years, I was so pleasantly surprised to stumble upon a hidden gem like @wolfsglenwestwood in @westwoodvillage . With beautiful, modern art-deco inspired interiors, Wolfsglen offers an ambient, vibey experience that is perfect for celebrating a special occasion or a date. Their menu offers quite a selection of well-curated cocktails, as well as Italian and American classics. While some of the dishes weren't my favorite, I would still recommend the bone marrow & wagyu pastrami, mushroom arancini, and pan roasted pork chop. This is definitely a spot that I would visit again for drinks, and I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area and supporting a small and well deserving business! pan roasted pork chop mushroom arancini cacio e pepe (don't recommend) truffle fries bone marrow & wagyu pastrami purple rain, amethyst, geisha's kiss, born a star martini

Yelp
Came here for a cute date night and everything was delicious. The ambience is great and the service was excellent. Definitely feels like a place people become "regulars" because they have fun offerings and deals and it seems like the staff and owner are trying to keep things interesting and creative. I can see how they have such a great reputation and come highly recommended.

Yelp
My friend and I went here during happy hour (3PM-7PM) and the drinks and food were perfect! Their happy hour menu was a little small, but everything we tried was delicious. Ceasar Salad (5/5) - This was the our favorite thing we ordered! The dressing had a hint of miso and topped with parmesan crisps and crispy quinoa. Super fresh appetizer to start off our meal! Truffle Basket of Fries (5/5) - Fries were thin and crispy! Our server gave us a garlic aioli to pair with our fries and it paired well together! The aioli has a little bit of a kick to it, but still really good. Brussel Sprouts (4/5) - The flavor was good but the brussel sprouts were a little soft. Our server was super friendly and I would definitely come back to try their lunch/dinner menu!

Yelp
Beautiful, moody and industrial. I love the vibe they've created at Wolfsglen. We came in with a group of 8 and had a wonderful dinner. We ordered family style and had the mushroom arancini, bone marrow pastrami, all the pastas (but asked for it gluten free bc we had someone with Celiac's), the ribeye and the roast chicken. The standouts were the bone marrow pastrami (must order!!!!) and the ribeye. I wish they had a better option for GF pasta. They only had rotini that was overcooked so the texture was very bleh. Since we asked for GF I can't say anything bad about it. I remember the sauces being good. We all tried a number of the cocktails they offered and everyone enjoyed their drinks. I loved their beautiful glassware. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic and happened to see a photo of my very large dog on my phone and he wrapped up the ribeye bone for him. We got a bit rowdy by the end of the night because it was a reunion and we started taking tequila shots but they were gracious and patient with us even as we closed them out for the night. A delicious and grown up addition to the village!

Yelp
Expensive and not that good! Everything was good, just not great. Ambiance was nice considering it is in a college town. Service was slow, we sat at the bar and actually had to flag down the bartenders to ask for refills after sitting there with empty drinks for a while. Decent option for finer dining in Westwood but not rushing back!

Yelp
My sister and I were walking around Westwood Village, after seeing a great play at Geffen Theater. We were going to a taco place, across the street from Wolfsglen, which turned out to be fast foodie. We wanted a cool comfortable place that would serve us, so we walked across the street and were seated immediately. They got much busier later. We hit the sweet spot between lunch and dinner. We were treated with courtesy and efficiency. Food and drink arrived very shortly after we ordered. The cacio e pepe was delicious. I had planned on eating half and saving half. I ate the whole thing. My sister had better self control. The cucumber vodka drink (had a cute name on the menu) was so refreshing and tasty. I wanted to order another, but I had to drive home. We both enjoyed our unrushed quiet meal in our comfy seats. We will be back.

Yelp
We started 2024 with a meal here and it did not disappoint! Truly set us up for a great year! Food is gourmet and delicious! Service was good! My friend did order a drink that was forgotten, but with a reminder they brought it and took I off of our bill which was great. The vibes in the restaurant are welcoming and trendy. We've seen that they have live music some nights and would love to check it out!! We will be back to enjoy a delicious meal again soon!

Yelp
Came here to grab some drinks and it did not disappoint, they are in the pricier side but it's is a cool place to chill at. The service was nice just in the slower side. The place is a unique, electric/modern vibe.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, good food and great staff. The fries here a SO GOOD! They apparently get them custom made and they are perfectly crispy and seasoned. Don't pass these up. The spicy aioli was delicious, too. All their beef is from Creekstone Farms (that means it's halal!) We asked our waitress a million times to confirm their only supplier for the beef is Creekstone, and she confirmed. She was also super sweet; I wish I remembered her name to shout her out. Thanks for the great service! Hanger steak, cooked medium well. 8/10 I prefer medium, but I compromised for my friend. It was still juicy and tender even though it was almost well done. I liked the citrus-ey chimichurri sauce on top; they paired well together. Burger without the bacon. 7.5/10 Although it looked a little dry, the meat was cooked well. The bun was nice and soft and there was a good amount of sauce inside. There is free parking at the Broxton lot for the first two hours. It's a short walk from the restaurant, and it's a nice area to walk in.

Yelp
Ordered the mushroom arancini. Expected larger arancini for the $23 for 4 small pieces. Taste was good but a bit salty for my taste. Ordered fried calamari. Enjoyed that! Worth coming back to try other items. Sorry for not snapping a photo.

Yelp
I dined in with a friend on a busy Friday night. The music was great, as well as the classic films played on the screens. The food is amazing you cannot go wrong. The staff if courteous and seem like they actually like being there. Great teamwork. I enjoyed their 0 proof cocktails as well.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here last night. The snap pea salad was my least favorite 2.5/5. Too much lemon and not enough of other flavors. We loved the calamari....wonderful flavor and texture 5/5. The aoil really brought it together. The salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked 5/5. The bass was good 4/5. I wish that it had more of a kick to it. We also had the truffle fries which went well with the truffle aioli 5/5. Yum! Anna was a lovely waitress and Eddie (Assistant Manager) were kind and attentive. They made sure our food was coursed out as requested. I look forward to going back!!!!

Yelp
I pregamed at the bar with drinks and appetizers before meeting up with friends and loved this p Spot. The bar team was great, good cocktails, and the food I had did not disappoint. I will be back for more.

Yelp
Cold & loud, with an "add insult to injury" set of fake fireplace pictures on the wall. Tasty but overpriced burger. I'll not return.

Yelp
Wolfsglen is a perfect date spot in Westwood because of the ambiance and service. It's dim inside, with inviting evening lighting choices, from the dimmable table lamps to the pink design lit up around the border of the bar. You can get a reservation on OpenTable, and there's cheaper parking available at the meters if you don't want to park in the lot next door. For an appetizer, you absolutely need to order the Baja Sea Bass Ceviche ($24) that comes with passion fruit & aji amarillo sauce, pickled cherries, tomatoes, micro cilantro, and a side of well-seasoned tortilla chips for scooping. The citrusy sweetness from the passion fruit pairs perfectly with the sea bass, and I will definitely be re-ordering this every time I dine here. Although we were expecting something more substantial, the Bone Marrow & Wagyu Pastrami ($27) is a flavorful savory appetizer for meat-lovers. The meat comes piled on top of the bone, along with grain mustard, capers, shallots, and mushrooms, accompanied by sourdough bread on the side. We came here for the pasta (they have gluten free noodles!) but unfortunately all of their pasta dishes contain dairy that can't be removed, including the pasta menu items that don't list cheese. Hopefully they update their menus soon, because we ordered the Bolognese ($27) with the 7 hour braised meat sauce given that I'm a lactose-intolerant carnivore and it was the only pasta that didn't list parmesan as an ingredient. Not only did it come out covered in cheese, but they couldn't re-make it dairy free because they pre-mix cheese in the sauce. I'd really appreciate it if they tried making a dairy free meat sauce, as I'm sure other lactose intolerant folks would as well. I was overcharged by a few dollars for the wine I ordered, and when I brought it up to the server he did adjust my bill and he let me know the menu had it listed at the incorrect price. Yet another reason why I hope they fix their menu soon, because the ambiance and food-taste here are 5 stars!

Yelp
**5-Star Review for Wolfsglen Restaurant in Westwood, CA** Wolfsglen is an absolute gem in Westwood! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm, friendly staff who made the entire experience so welcoming. The ambiance is fantastic--modern yet cozy, with dim lighting that sets the perfect mood for a relaxed evening. The food is nothing short of spectacular. We tried the truffle mushroom pizza, which was a standout--rich, earthy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of truffle. Every bite was heavenly! The drinks are equally impressive. Their specialty cocktails are crafted with such creativity and attention to detail. Each one was a flavor experience on its own! If you're looking for a spot with delicious food, top-notch service, and a great vibe, Wolfsglen should be at the top of your list. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Was very impressed with this new restaurant in the heart of Westwood. Came here with my my 9/6 year olds for a "family dinner" and was a little nervous going in since LA is not necessarily known for the best accommodations for couples eating with their crazy kids. The staff was very friendly to them and asked them what the enjoyed about their day. They were able to make some really good pasta for my picky son. We felt welcome and included here. For the adults, the food here is excellent. I had a special menu item Yellowtail Carpaccio that was delicious, fresh, perfectly flavored. The pork chop is a must order and has a cream/Japanese whisky sauce. The chop was perfectly cooked, as you can see in the picture. Pork chops are difficult to consistently execute in a kitchen, and so anytime I have a pork chop like this, it's a memory that lasts. Highly recommend. I had a spicy mezcal drink and a French Bordeaux that went well with my pork chop. I highly recommend this restaurant for singles in West LA who want good food at a reasonable price point, couples/dates, group of friends, and couples with crazy kids like me.

Yelp
Had a great catch up dinner with a friend. Easy parking in the Trader Joe's parking lot, the food is very good, and rich. Started with the caesar salad which had a delightful miso dressing. Then we had the shwarma, which was the perfect size and was tastier than all the shwarma I've had, which is crazy since I live in Glendale, which has a lot of shwarma. We tried the pastrami and bone marrow which was incredible, but super rich. For "dessert" we had the mushroom arancini which is incredibly potent in truffle flavor. All of it was delicious, but maybe I should have ordered some lighter items, next time!

Yelp
My husband and I came here for dinner a few Sunday evenings ago and were really excited to try the menu and the craft cocktails. We ordered the bone marrow dish along with a few cocktails and the Brussels sprouts and fries. While everything was really delicious... our server forgot to put in the order for the bone marrow and when 45 minutes had passed and we asked he realized he had not put in the order to the kitchen. He then assured us he'd comp the item but then seemed to think twice and backtracked and offered us another cocktail instead. Since we were driving we politely declined and continued to wait for our bone marrow. When the check finally arrived, nothing was comped and we brought it to our servers attention. He then proceeded to take the fries off of the check... the cheapest item on the bill. While the food was great, we ended up waiting quite a while to receive any of our dishes and our waiter seemed to make promises to make up for the issue without planning on keeping them. We also found it interesting that the table next us was also speaking to a manager about a time when they had come before and been charged twice for a bottle of wine. Great food and gorgeous ambience but seems the service is lacking.

Yelp
Street metered parking. The food here is delicious! I usually don't like eating cooked salmon, only raw- but this place has the best cooked salmon I have ever tried!!! I could eat the whole fish! It was so tender, juicy and literally melts in your mouth. Very interested in knowing their recipe. Their fries are thin and crispy and addicting. Their steak is so tender and medium rare perfection. Broccolini is a vegetable and not usually in my diet, but they're made very well and I enjoyed them. Salads are seasoned with a kick and not your ordinary dressings. Desserts are special and gorgeous to look at. I really enjoyed everything I tried here, however food takes a while to come out, so you'll have to relax and enjoy your night.

Yelp
I made a reservation for happy hour. Was looking to catch some cocktails and apps with a colleague of mine. I specified that in the reservation. When I get there they seat us in a "none reservation" area. I inquire if we can be moved and accommodated as I requested. The server says it's only the bar area. The bar area is now full. I wish they would specify this on the website and make it clear. So we are forced to order from the regular menu. Drinks and food over priced. Server was not personable at all. Felt very forced and order from the full menu when that was not my intent and I made it very clear. I will not be back.

Yelp
4.5/5 Food is yummy as heck, the service is good, and the ambiance is a chill and cool vibe. Came here for a business dinner, so I didn't wanna go yelp-photographer status during the meal ;p But the food here was pretty darn good. The atmosphere is dark, kinda like a cool chic vibe. There's like 10-15 tables, and a cool bar section too. Looks great for all types of dinners, whether a date, family, friends night out. All kinds of people eating here. Make a reservation if you come during prime time. It gets busy, but the service was still pretty good. Not too loud, maybe like a 6-7/10 at worst. We got the Calamari and Brussels Sprouts for apps. Solid orders, enough for 4-5 people. The Calamari doesn't come with a shareable sauce, but it has lemon. The Brussels were delicious. I Think Piccadilly in Culver City does them better tho ;) But the Brussels, came in its savory balsamic(?) sauce with some crispy cheese on top, perfectly cooked with good texture. We all got different entrees. I got the tagliatelle bolognese, the pasta was slightly over cooked, but the sauce and pasta overall were solid. The steak and frites looks good, more like a straight up carnivore meal. The Cesar salad looks well dressed, maybe a little too much for people? I love it with the amount of dressing it had, but you might opt for 20-30% less. Someone got a chicken dinner option w mushrooms. Looked pretty solid. I think the other person got an ahi tuna thing. No one was disappointed I'll tell you that! Parking is on the street, or go to the parking lot up the street close to the Trader Joe's. I recommend the lot, it's $10 flat rate after 6:00PM. Otherwise, you might end up paying $20+ to park there. Definitely worth it for dinner. Bill was close to $400 for 5. Everyone got beer, few refills, some apps, and entrees. No dessert

Yelp
UPDATE 10/27/24: returned as guests of the general manager (shoutout to sammy!). both food and service were 90% improved. SERVICE: servers and floor manager were super attentive, and leftovers were appropriately boxed instead of thrown away, so yay. but although attentive, service was inexplicably slow, especially considering there were never more than 2 other parties dining. we started at 5 pm and it was almost 7:30 when we left. the most tedious delay was over half an hour for dessert -- ok if you order a soufflé but not for what we had. we didn't have another engagement, so no harm done. but couldn't help wincing at the thought of having theatre tickets: sunday evening show at the geffen is 7:30 pm. there was no show that night, but still... FOOD & DRINK: Off the Beaten Path zero proof cocktail, made with Pathfinder (non-alcoholic amaro), lemon juice, tonic: wonderful, if your taste runs to complex bitter herbal liqueurs -- which mine does. Heirloom Tomato Caprese Salad: absolutely delicious, best caprese salad ever. every element perfect, especially the depth of flavor of the tomatoes. pesto isn't a standard ingredient of caprese salad, but this pesto took this caprese over the top. Caesar Salad: i thought this was bland and boring, except for an excellent parmesan crisp. but it was my companion's dish and he liked it, so don't mind me. Pan-Roasted Pork Chop: well-sourced, well-cooked, well-seasoned. the apple garnish could have been cooked longer, but tiny issue. Ribeye: disappointing, especially considering the price point (for others, it was comped for us ;). the cuisson was okay -- maybe 25% over the requested medium rare (which perfectly suited my companion). however, i ate a bite and it was bland and underseasoned. the menu says "cowboy compound butter," but if that's what that orange smear is, it didn't make it to my bite. shishito peppers were nicely cooked with mild heat level. Fig Panna Cotta: i'm sorry but that white floof is NOT panna cotta -- which should have the consistency of a molded gelatin. however, the taste was luscious, so all is forgiven (except the name -- is it crème anglaise rather than panna cotta?). the complexity of the flavors and textures add up to a sophisticated delight. Ube Sweet Potato Tres Leches Cake: simply wonderful. despite the menu description as "traditional," ube is traditionally filipino, not mexican. but no complaint -- the ube adds a lovely tropical note to the creamy soaked cake. my companion -- unfamiliar with ube -- identified the taste as coconut. i -- familiar with ube -- thought ube but no coconut, but interesting to think about a 4 leches cake, with coconut milk as the 4th milk. in the meantime, 3 leches + ube = wonderful blend of flavors. Blueberry Fritters: i suspect this was the villain responsible for the 30+ minute delay in dessert service. but not justified, not worth the wait. they were ok but not special. opinion: would be improved by adding small fresh blueberries to the batter -- or to the "frosted glaze" stated on the menu but missing from the dish. CONCLUSION: mostly delightful but deducting half a point for slow service and half a point for disappointing ribeye and blueberry fritters, so 4 out of 5. also sammy e: there are couple of spelling and punctuation errors on the menu and i'm happy to volunteer to copy edit your menus -- which is actually my profession (copy editor). don't judge by this review, it's in my personal informal style :))

Yelp
I have to admit I was a big fan of fellow and was sad to see they didn't make it, but this is a really great replacement! They made the ambiance swankier with darker lighting and better decor. Loved the food and the cocktails were great. I had the purple rain and they made me sing the song for it hahahaha. Taking one star off only because it got a little confusing when we got there. We arrived about 10 min early and they said no prob they'll seat us right away but then they didn't and asked us to wait at the bar. Usually it's no problem but the dining areas were 75% empty and the bar was full with no seats available. They sat us about 10-15 minutes later. At our reservation time. Not a big deal but it was confusing lol Check out this spot if you're in the area. It's good!

Yelp
I love this restaurant sooooooo much. I've been out of the country for a while and as soon as I got back into town, all I wanted was to eat my favorite dishes from here again. Everything is consistently amazing. Every flavor, presentation and preparation is always on point.

Yelp
Been waiting for a long time for a good restaurant to make its way to Westwood and finally we have Wolfsglen. We started with some fantastic cocktails and I highly recommend the Persephone. We shared a number of great aps. The Shawarma was really good as was the Peruvian Cerviche. The Brussell sprouts were also great but the show stopper for us truffle pizza. The burrata salad was terrific for a summer dish featuring melons and burrata and a wonderful vinaigrette. The steak was cooked perfectly and the frittes delicious. The portions are large and generous and great for sharing. The staff was supper efficient and friendly and the ambience enjoyable.

Yelp
Wolfsglen is a trendy and lively restaurant. It's right in Westwood with a bunch of other shops nearby. Parking was a hassle since there was no available street parking around 7pm, but there is a parking structure nearby. However we eventually looped around a couple times and found a cheaper public lot. Food here is outstanding. I had the Brussels sprouts with bacon (highly recommend) and the pasta cacio e pepe. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and this dish was so rich and creamy. The brown butter labneh was also delicious. Everything ran pretty heavy, but we did order a salad on the side too. For dessert, we had ricotta donuts which were tasty but a little dense and not as fluffy as I usually like. Service is attentive and nice.

Yelp
Came here for a celebratory lunch. The service was great, we were seated right away. We tried a few things on the menu- sea bass ceviche, Brussel sprouts and rigatoni Diavola. Everything was great. The burger was very decadent with cheese and candied bacon. Rigatoni was creamy and I didn't think it was spicy. Brussel sprouts were great with a light balsamic glaze.

Yelp
I dined here on Saturday and had such an excellent experience. I made reservations for opening time and I was able to enjoy a long dinner. Service by all staff was impeccable. They're all very attentive. I ordered cocktails, starters, entrees, more cocktails and finally dessert. I got to see how the restaurant would ebb and flow with patrons and how lively it could be. I loved the vibe! The interior is beautiful and the bar has a large purple light fixture that borders it. It gives it a nice lounge touch. There is also an additional dining room that can be reserved for events as well as a small private area located on the second floor loft space. Now on to the good stuff! For cocktails, we tried Purple Rain, Space Honey, Geisha's Kiss, Black Gold, and Reina Picante. Each cocktail was an adventure - they had a nice presentation, vibrant color, and a wonderful blend of flavors. Nothing bland or boring. For starters we had the Burrata and Bolognese. What an great pairing! I love the sweetness and peppery flavor of this burrata dish and the rich, savoriness of the pasta. For the entrees, we ordered the Creekstone Farms Ribeye and Seared Striped Bass. The steak was perfectly cooked. It was a large portion: 16 ounces of juicy and tender meat. The bass was very unique as it was nestled in a coconut soup. Somehow we had room for dessert and we tried the Chocolate Bomb and Wine poached pear. The chocolate bomb had many components: velvety chocolate, crispy katari, creamy mousse. It was so decadent! The pears were on the slighter side and yet they were so flavorful! They were paired with a smooth vanilla bean panna cotta and a crunchy granola. This was such an excellent culinary experience! They know what they're doing here.

Yelp
This place is walking distance from my place and I've been meaning to check it out. Parked in the Trader Joe's parking structure ($10 flat rate after 6 pm), but there may also be metered parking available. The place was pretty empty, but it was also a Monday night. Our server was really great - he was professional and attentive. We had the hummus with pita, which was pretty good, the brussel sprouts with bacon were really tasty. We also had the rigatoni in vodka sauce with shrimp, and it was delicious. This was shared between two people and were both too full for dessert after that. I also had a whiskey passion fruit cocktail that the server recommended, and I loved it. I took off one star for the 3% surcharge - just states on the menu that it's not gratuity nor does it go to the server. So what is it for? Just seems like an odd way to add $ to the bill.

Yelp
Best Bone Marrow with Wagyu I have ever had. Very flavorful. Waiter is fantastic! Great food and lovely music plus atmosphere too. The desert is appealing too, the pear Bartlet looks great and tastes authentic and organic. Great culinary experience! As I was sited right at the entrance, first booth, I noticed the place needs more light, it is too dark inside, so it makes it difficult to see the waiter's faces, or the bill for that matter. Needs more lightening at the tables. Thank you again
