The D.C.-Area Restaurant Openings You Should Know About This November | Eater DC

"This next-gen food hall’s newest outpost is the first in Maryland, packing more than a dozen restaurant menus under one roof with choices that range from steak and barbecue to Detroit-style pizza; hours run 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily." - Emily Venezky

Usually, I don't have good luck when eating at a place as soon as they open. I typically let new places marinate for six months before trying them out. But I was coming from Virginia, and I was famished! I didn't know what to eat but remembered about this place opening up, which is actually on my way home. I almost went to Cava, but I'm glad I made it here instead. I'll have to do some research on this place because I feel like their ingredients taste, smell, and feel whole and premium! I had the Mediterranean Salad bowl with steak souvlaki…and… Ohhh, weeee! That steak was tender! Like… outside of eating at a specialized or fine restaurant, I’ve never had a steak this tender at “Fast Food” places, and it tasted really good. The lettuce was extremely crisp and fresh. Most places with this style of service tend to have soggy, limp lettuce. I really hope they don’t change the steak, it happened with Cava once, where they changed the seasoning and the meat quality. I take one star off because I do think they still need to get their groove, and some of the add-ons for my bowl were out, but they compensated me with an extra drink. So that was nice I guess…

I have ordered several different items from the moderately priced "created by Wonder" menu and they were all great! Delicious and healthy food, good portions, reasonable prices, and fast (though I did go at a less busy time). The variety of choices of food and prices makes it easy for groups to make separate choices. I love the poke bowls and salads - and they are customizable. The people who work here are very nice. Be warned that there isn't a lot of space for dining in, but probably more people take out or get delivery.

Not sure why so much hate. I have been here twice and me and my bf have had a really good experience. First order you can get 50% off. It's basically a compilation of various "ghost kitchens". The pickup orders have always been on time and staff has been nice. It is a bit overpriced but this is college park so it's kind of expected and the portions are decent. We have ordered a variety of different items. Brisket, wings, burgers, bowls, poke, pizza. The food itself is not bad , nothing spectacular but good enough. It's open late and offers a good variety all in one spot.

An honest review: Food: mid! Some things are frozen but it tastes good at the end of the day. They do offer a very diverse set of meals at an affordable price. The fresh food is also quite good. Service: Inside its quite good! The staff try to be as understanding/forgiving/friendly/helpful all the things you want from in person staff. I did however have an ok experience with their delivery placing it in between my doors and knocking until I came out to tell me about how I need to have my porch light on (my mistake but my house isnt hard to miss) Atmosphere: GREAT BATHROOM HOLY ALL BATHROOMS NEED TO BE LIKE THIS. The inside is nice with room for a medium group or a pair/single. Not that large inside but it feels nice.

I’ll admit, I walked into Wonder Food Hall in College Park with serious doubts. After scrolling through a slew of scathing reviews complaining that the food was cold, bland, or “felt microwaved,” my expectations were... let’s just say subterranean. But curiosity (and hunger) won out — and I’m so glad it did. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Collard Greens Mac & Cheese, figuring it’d be a fair test of flavor and freshness. And wow — what a pleasant surprise. The sandwich came out piping hot, the chicken crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with just the right amount of heat to keep things interesting. The brioche bun actually held up (no sogginess here), and the pickles added the perfect tangy crunch. But the real showstopper? That Collard Greens Mac & Cheese. Creamy, cheesy, smoky — it tasted like someone’s Southern grandma was back in the kitchen mixing comfort and soul into every bite. The portion was generous too; this was not one of those dainty, influencer-sized meals. Honestly, by the end of my meal I couldn’t help but wonder: are the people leaving those bad reviews eating the same food? Because if they think this tastes microwaved, I have to question whether they even have taste buds. Wonder Food Hall might not be perfect, but it’s absolutely worth a visit — and it deserves way more credit than it’s getting.

What a nice little find! I decided to take chance by ordering online and I was not disappointed. The portions are good and the pricings, reasonable. I look forward to trying the other restaurants within the Wonder network.

The pickup time was very quick for me but the food was really hit or miss, I tried the mac and greens which was actually really good I just wish the portion was bigger, and I also tried the poke bowl which was pretty bad to be honest. The fish was not fresh, it was mushy and discolored like honestly I don’t know what I was thinking getting a poke bowl from here but it was not good at all I do not recommend the poke. I will try and again and give this place another chance. UPDATED: I got lunch there on Wednesday that was my first time trying it, it is now 6am thursday and i’m really sick, I think I got food poisoning.

First time here and extremely disappointed. Waited about 45 mins for an order I had place 20 mins ahead of time. When I arrived there were about 10 workers standing around talking. As I stood for about 5 minutes of employees walking by me not even acknowledging me I finally asked for my order. The employees just kept nodding and walking away. I was standing at the counter for about 30 minutes waiting... and waiting. 10 more minutes went by and i complained, they still didnt say anything to me and kepy aslking away. The food was terrible when I did get it. It was also extremely over priced. Will never be coming here again!
