Food Delivery Service Wonder Is Opening 10 Philadelphia Locations | Eater Philly

"Scheduled to open in April at 600 West Dekalb Pike in King of Prussia (outside Philadelphia proper), this location continues the operator’s rapid regional expansion and is one of roughly 10 planned Philly-area openings. The concept, founded by Marc Lore — the billionaire entrepreneur known for creating e-commerce sites like Diapers.com and Jet.com — uses a food-hall/ghost-kitchen approach that partners with notable chefs and restaurants who create exclusive vendor concepts and recipes optimized for speed, replicability, and quality; platform collaborators have included Bankside by JJ Johnson; Jota by José Andrés (José Andrés is on the company’s board); Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson; Bobby Flay Steaks; Yasas by Michael Symon; Chios Taverna; Walnut Lane by Jonathan Waxman; Di Fara; and others, though the Philly-specific lineup will be announced later. Customers can order via the operator’s app or Grubhub (acquired November 2024) for dine-in, takeout, or delivery, and fulfillment mixes in-house teams, third-party couriers, and bike couriers through Relay (acquired November 2024). The rollout includes a partnership with Philabundance to accept donations at checkout, is backed by large funding rounds (including $700 million in March 2024), follows the company’s first location opened in New York’s Upper West Side in 2023, and has produced uneven critical responses in other markets (Robert Sietsema described quality as a mixed bag in 2024)." - Nadia Chaudhury

Stopped in with one of my teenage sons. I ordered the Tejas Brisket sandwich and red potato salad. My son ordered a Streetbird Fried Chicken Sandwich with Brown Sugar Babe Sauce on the side and Truffle Aioli Fries. The food was packed eco friendly compostable packaging. I wasn't prepared for it. The brisket point and seasoning were so flavorful. I used the Gold Sauce and the Sweet and Sticky to dip my sandwich meat. The sandwich had 3 generous slices onion and some pickle slices. The potato salad was a wonderful accompaniment. Teenaged son approved of the well seasoned fried breast. We ended with Tejas' Carrot Souffle. I ordered Streetbird to go for a teen at home. Clean space no frill packaging. Attentive and polite staff Wonder will be on permanent rotation.

$60 of food- it mostly tasted like it was microwaved meals. More like cafeteria food from a museum than high end take out. Would NOT go back. Check out the photos with captions. There are so many great foods options in KOP- this is just cheap chain food at a higher cost. You can’t change anything in the app either - for example I wanted the sauce not on the burger, but all I could do was remove it. Someone in our party has a gluten allergy - and thank goodness for the honesty of the worker- because we were told since it is just one big kitchen that cross contamination is a real issue and they wouldn’t trust it.

Alright, let’s be clear about what this is, and what it is not. This thing (see photo) is described as a $7 “Loaded Baked Potato.” It is not. It is neither loaded nor baked. It might not even be a potato. It would more properly be described as a lukewarm microwaved “potato” with a hint of cheese and bacon. Clearly microwaved. Hot outside, dense and uncooked inside. This thing couldn’t even melt the 5 shavings of cheese they put on it. Bacon was that fake brown stuff out of a bag for salads. Do yourself a favor and drive a few minutes to Wendy’s and get a better baked potato at half the price. If I had been carrying that day I would have shot this potato just to put it out of its misery. Don’t apologize to me, apologize to what you did to this poor vegetable.

The concept of so many restaurants under one roof is very appealing but with that variety comes the cost of quality. The staff was very kind and the website was easy to navigate and order, plus our food was ready quick! But the quality is barely fast food. Wings were covered in sauce to hide the chewy skin; chicken sandwich was so thin it felt like McDonald's; pizza was more like frozen flatbread; fries were nothing special; and lastly the rack of ribs was good, but for that price I might as well go to an actual BBQ joint for even better flavor. While the concept is cool the quality did not meet my expectations.

I've been to this location a handful of times and learned where they excel, namely Di Fara and Detroit Brick Oven Pizzas. Both are shown in the photo with the smaller one being the Detroit Meat Lover's and the larger the Di Fara Vodka square pie. While I've never been to the original location of either item, these stand on their own as exceptional for Sicilian Crust pies. For the meat lover, they put strips of bacon (not bits) and the vodka pie is a unique and supremely tasty mix. If my only experience were these pies, this review would have 5 stars. The lower rating is based on several other items tried over my visits, specifically chicken fingers (not as good as Raising Cane's), wings (soggy skin) and BBQ (brisket - dry, ribs - okay but not special and pork belly - fantastic, though possibly only a special).

I've only ordered one cheese steak sub from here. It was average at best. Not good but not bad. The bread was chewy. The seasoning was nonexistent. The cheese was okay. No sides came with it. For almost $15, I'd pass on it and try something else.

Google
This is my absolute new favorite! The location is easy to access and parking is not an issue. The pickup/order space is clean with staff available to assist. The selection of restaurant partners providing this variety of delicious fresh food is so exciting! I love the concept of this and am delighted with everything I've experienced so far! I can't wait to try the Bobby Flay filet mignon! Handicap accessible Restrooms available Friendly helpful staff Prices are typical and really reasonable for good fresh food Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

Google
I ordered for the first time recently. It was not a good experience. Delivery was to the wrong address and about 10 minutes past the maximum window given, over one hour. At least I received a "delivered" text that allowed me to go find my order at a neighboring unit. The order was wrong - a chicken shwarma instead of lamb. The 50% off code was actually for $20, less than 50% I called customer service. Don't use the texting customer service, you'll just get AI. The human that answered was good and rebated the money for the wrong order. The food: Salad bowl was good, my wife liked her lamb shwarma. The chicken shwarma was bland. Cubed thigh meat. In both cases we had it without sauce because they had run out of sauce. On a Saturday evening at 6 PM. How do you run out of sauce? Wonder is basically cafeteria food with some fancy branding attached.

Yelp
Great mix of different restaurant options so everyone can get something they are craving. Our second time ordering and all the food was great from all 6 restaurants we tried

Yelp
I order from Wonder probably 3-4 times a month while I traveling to the area. I love that I can grab pretty much any kind of food from here and the prices are fair. The front of house staff are almost always super friendly and food is ready quickly. Items have been hit or miss for me, but if you reply to their request for a review and comment you didn't like something they almost always work to make it right on the next trip. Particular favorite is the Tuna Poke Bowl and the crunch salads. Thai food was a miss for me, but will probably try again. I just wish they had more options that were under 1000 calories. Takeout is hard enough to get something healthy when you are traveling and I think they could have some options specifically with lower calories that are easier to find. Will certainly continue going back

Yelp
I tried out Wonder King of Prussia and I was pretty impressed with it. The "magic" of Wonder is that they have different cuisines from different restaurants to try out. You order on a touch screen kiosk, which they have at the front of the restaurant. We ordered from a few different restaurants - Alanza and Chios Taverna By Michael Symon. Alanza serves Italian cuisine and I got the chicken parmesan, garlic bread and mozzarella sticks. The chicken parmesan was massive and smothered in flavorful cheese and tomato sauce. The mozzarella sticks were not too oily and had a good crunch to them. I enjoyed the garlic bread as well. It does take a little while for the food to get prepared (about 30 minutes), so ordering ahead of time is something to consider. Altogether, Wonder King of Prussia serves good food from a variety of different restaurants.

Yelp
I really curious to understand how food hall has "award winning cuisine". I didn't have high hopes for this food hall (that's my own prejudice), but this experience didn't change my mind. I had gotten a coupon in the mail, so I thought I should be open minded to a new experience. I ordered Buffalo chicken and garlic parmesan mozzarella sticks. The former was too salty, and the chicken was not very meaty. This tastes exactly like the frozen fried chicken that you might buy at Walmart. I also ordered the mozz sticks because I saw online that they were one of the top ordered items; it did not ignite my tastebuds. Overall, eating this meal was basically consuming empty calories. I am not amazed.

Yelp
Was confused about what this was but got a 50% off coupon so gave it a try. Got a poke bowl, steak souvlaki salad and a chicken sandwich and everything was amazing! Literally canceled my DashPass and will only order from here! The food quality was fantastic and quick delivery

Yelp
Easy pick up process, I used the 50% discount and it was $9 which is pretty good. A bit steep for full price but the portion size is generous, was enough for two meals. Everything was pretty well seasoned, didn't really need the additional dressing. Plenty of variety of vegetables which I enjoyed.

Yelp
I received a coupon in the mail for 50% off of my first order from Wonder so decided to try it since it just opened! I ordered delivery from Walnut Lane and got the braised short rib with mashed potato puree and cipollini onions in a red wine braise, the brussel sprouts with bacon, mustards raisins, and balsamic. Good lord this whole meal was delicious. The short rib was so tender and the savory flavor of the red wine braise was an incredible compliment to the potatoes and onion. The brussel sprouts were outstanding. I've never had raisins in brussel sprouts but it was a perfect mix of savory and sweet. I also ordered the kale salad which I haven't eaten yet because I was so satisfied with everything else, but it looks great. Delivery was way quicker than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Using the app to track it was very easy as well. Only critique is the price. Im happy I had the coupon, but with all the fees it still came out to around the same price it would have been. The price was steep for the amount of food you get BUT that is to be expected since it is better quality food. I personally don't mind paying more if it means the quality of food is good, but if that's something that matters to you, maybe consider pickup or one of their more affordable restaurants.

Yelp
The brisket is so overpriced for 3 slices. There's no sides or anything and it's $18. It tasted good but really that's a bad value. I did get a coupon so that helped but I wouldn't order delivery from here again

Yelp
Got here twice and the orders were quick. The food was very good. They let you know when order is ready so if your in your car in lot wait for text and grab and go. It's simple and with all the variety the concept is a great one.
