Wonderbird Spirits

We were pleasantly surprised by how good this gin was! We are more bourbon sippers but the flavors were amazing! We left with a couple of bottles! Our new summer sip! You need to check it out!

What a wonderful place. Thomas Alexander explained all of the processes and how the rice is locally sourced and some of the botanicals are here on site, too. The flavors of each is so unique. We were able to sample all three varieties. They were served in small, locally made, pottery cups- you could smell the delightful blends as you sipped them. We chose the No. 61 and the No. 61 Cask Finished. They are wonderful all on their own and can’t wait to try them in a martini or a gin and tonic. Such a wonderful, unique distillery here in Mississippi. You must admire the group’s entrepreneurial spirit and their dedication to their craft. They are creating an amazing experience. Worth the very short ride from Oxford.

I can't say enough great things about this distillery. It's just outside of Oxford in the nicest town, Taylor, MS. The country setting is perfect, and the decor inside is fancy but chill. Great vibe! We scheduled a tour and tasting while we were in town because we love to try local crafts wherever we travel. This was so worth it. They ask that you call or email 24 hours in advance to schedule. Replies were prompt and very friendly. One of the owners gave us the tour and tasting. It was very educational, but I was most impressed with how much they care about their ingredients and process. The only U.S. gin made with rice, and they take extra care with adding the botanicals as well. It's meticulous and you can tell in the flavor. We also had a cocktail...the best gin and tonic I've ever had. They just started cocktail nights every Thursday. Make a reservation. It's so worth it. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular. We left with a bottle of the Magnolia!

Outstanding! From a beautiful sipping gin that was smoooooth to a unique magnolia gin that was a delightful surprise, these folks are on to something. Got to sample their brand new dry gin, too, and it was dangerously good. If you have even the whisper of a faint interest in gin, try these. If you love gin, see how this rolls for you. If you don't like gin, give Wonderbird a chance to change your mind.

We just tried the cocktail program at Wonderbird & it is awesome. Must do in Oxford. Obviously knowledgeable & provided a curated & sophisticated experience. Amazing the range of cocktails they create from the various gins made on site.

Amazing trio who've gone for the adventure of making unique Gin! You can trace every ingredient they're using, and it just tastes awesome!
