Google
Wonderful seafood place. Always a good seasonal selection of live fish/shellfish plus some fresh/frozen seafood. Cash only is the primary downside and price can be 10-15% more expensive than other Asian markets at times.

Google
Great seafood! 7lb king crab was fresh and delicious steamed at home 🦀

Google
Very knowledgeable about the seafood and could pick them to go for traveling outside of the state.

Google
Great little shop, super friendly owner. I was looking for fresh eel to try grilling unagi, was pleasantly surprised to find they sold live eels here!

Google
The best seafood you can get in the city. If you spend your dollar anywhere else, you are wasting your hard earned money. Don't do that, don't throw away your money. Head down to Wong Tung, and grab some great deals on the freshest seafood in Seattle.

Google
If you want fresh seafood this is the place to be at!

I came in one afternoon and ask for crab. The owner said they don’t have any crab. And I found that they actually do have one in the tank and he didn’t want explain it. So I ask for other things and he said they don’t have them and walked away. He didn’t want to talk to me at all. So I had to leave with empty hands. They have a small parking lot which is convenient. I saw the price tag and it is cheaper than chain grocery stores.

Google
They accept cash, zelle, or PayPal. At the time of visit, Nov. 2021, they didn’t not accept card. There’s an ATM 3 minutes away if you don’t bring cash. The staff was very helpful. They were able to filet and remove the skin from the halibut that I bought. Prices seem fair. I purchased 12 oysters for $16 which is a lot better than other seafood markets I’ve been to. In the future, I’d like to try their lobster and sea urchins.

Yelp
Love getting seafood from WT Seafood. You know the live food there is going to be fresh. We got three large crabs and they also gave us ice to keep the crabs fresh on the drive back home. They had so many options of fresh seafood there. Lingcod, oysters, clams, various fish, etc. great job and will come back here again.

Yelp
Great service. Great fresh live seafood. Great prices. Really glad we discovered this place. 3 large Dungeness Live crabs 2.5 lbs. each plus 2 lbs steamer clams. High quality, juicy, delicious. Small parking lot out front of small retail space filled with live seafood. They supply all the restaurants with fresh seafood. Check it out.

Yelp
Wong Tung has been around for as long as I can remember. They were the first and only live seafood place we shopped at for many years. Then we were distracted by Viet Wah, Lam's, and others that seem to offer better prices. Dollar for dollar including consideration for quality, Wong Tung beats all of them. Wong Tung is a mom and pop type of shop. The place looks the same for the last 3 decades. I don't care. Their fresh seafood quality is fantastic. They drain water before weighing. They put newspapers at the bottom of the bag to absorb water and ice on the seafood to maintain freshness. They have a bigger focus on shellfish but they have fish too. They were cutting and cleaning a big trout today. They also have a frozen case. The catch - Bring cash!!!

Yelp
Purely based on the food/good, 5 stars. My dad loves geoduck and the past 2 times I went back to Chicago, carried-on these for him. They still stayed fresh because they gave me ice packets. I love the fact that they had the geoduck in fresh water so when they squeeze out the water to weigh them, the water came out clear. I went to Lam's and they don't squeeze out the water at the time of weighing for the price, yes it's cheaper but Lam's price you with the water (they don't squeeze them out, and if you do, the water is murky) so they are only like a dollar or two difference. I got the live geoduck and abalone the 2nd time and had it sashimi style 8 hours later and still fresh. The geoduck had a slight natural sweetness to it this time around and was soooo good! Ambiance: small mom and pop fish store. It does not smell as fishy as you think for a seafood store. Clean and the people have always have been really nice and accommodating. Sorry, no photos but when I go back, I will take some. The only negative thing I can say that it's cash only.

Yelp
no thrills, no frills - just fresh/live seafood being sold in what I wouldn't even consider a market but more so a place to pick up the best and freshest of seafoods. They don't carry much of anything else but live seafood and the pricing is on point! I've came here for live crab, lobsters, spot prawns, and they are always quick and easy to deal with. It is cash only which may be a down side for some but for me, when you can pick up spot prawns (when in season) for $20/lb whilst everyone else charges $30/lb its worth a stop by the cash machine.

Yelp
This is the place to get your seafood. Good price, cheaper than most supermarkets, yeah and kicking, geoduck -they will blanch and strip outer skin, get home to slice and serve sashimi style. Very honest and they squeeze the water out of the seafood before weighing.
google avatar

Gabby K.

Yelp
This is a great little seafood shop. I was looking to try geoduck and heard this was one of the few places I could get it. I haven't been back to get anything else yet, but I've been meaning to. Everything looks super fresh and reasonably priced. It is cash only though.

Yelp
This is my go to for fresh seafood. Selection is limited because of how small it is, but quality is top notch. Usually come here for the dungeness, spot prawns, coons, clams, and kusshi oysters. I also like how the have fish balls with roe and meat balls for pho/soups. Fish selection is pretty limited, but I seldom just try one and look for a recipe afterwards.

Yelp
You having a dinner party? Grilling? Paella? Seafood feast? This place is the hidden gem for buying live seafood. I hate buying shrimp that is already cook or worst...frozen...but not here. I have bought live Crab, Lobster, Tiger Shrimp, Clams, Osyters and Mussels. I LOVE live tiger shimp with the head still attached for grilling or cooking in paella. Seafood always taste better live because you know it is Fresh! This is a family owned business with personal friendly service. The prices are decent and the inverntory is good for being a hole in the wall. The parking is horrible because it is in a small shopping area so I recommend parking by the street if you can so you won't get stuck in the small parking or go around to find parking again. Highly Recommeded to buy Fresh Seafood here. PRO TIP: They only accept cash. Do find parking on the street level first before trying to park in the parking lot. The floor is always wet so be careful not wearing your nice shoes.

Yelp
Great spot for live/fresh seafood with friendly service. They typically have a few varieties of live fish, a few varieties of fresh (not live, but never frozen) fish, and several varieties of live shell fish (dungeness, King, lobster, scallop, geoduck, uni, shrimp/prawn, availability varies depending on the season). They also have a freezer of quality frozen seafood. The shop also provides complementary processing (cut up crab/lobster, open up scallop/uni...) Minor complaints: price is often 10-20% higher than competitors (Lam, Lucky and Dong Hing) and it's cash only.

Yelp
Fresh, clean, and quality seafood at a reasonable price. Aside from Uwajimaya, I avoid all other Asian markets for seafood. I just don't trust the quality of their products. Although Uwajimaya and also Pike Place market tend to have higher prices. Wong Tung Seafood is the best option for quality and price. I get everything from crab, clams, geoduck, spot prawns, fish, oysters, lobster, and fish paste. They also carry live King Crab, live cod, and other fishes. Unlike other places that mostly carry live tilapia. Cash only. One time we were short on cash and the lady/owner just asked us to pay them back the next time we visited.
google avatar

Lola Y.

Yelp
Prices are fair and quality is the best in town. Crabs and lobsters always fresh. When they have live spot prawns, they are large and lively. Always come here to load up when making my Paella.

J C.

Yelp
Tanks look clean. Limited choices of seafood but what they have look very good. Jumbo size manila clams for $4.50/lb!! They only accept cash or PayPal.
google avatar

Estella P.

Yelp
Would you believe my hair dresser told me about this place? She has a client that told her about this business and that they sold live spot prawns. It's difficult to find in town for a reasonable price so I just had to come. It is tucked away in a strip mall in the little Saigon section. They have tanks full of dungeness crabs, king crabs, tilapia, spot prawns, clams, geoducks, lobsters and other fish and shellfish. I used to go to a place like this on Beacon Hill but I found this place to be more clean and have better customer service, so I come here more often. I usually get the spot prawns, which was $18 a lb. It's a great deal than Mutual Fish and Uwajimaya. They always packed it in ice. The parking is usually a pain as it is a small lot and very narrow spots. It is cash only.

Andy K.

Yelp
Always providing great service and products. I bought a live 2.5 lb Dungeness crab. It was delicious

Yelp
If you want live shellfish at a decent price, this is a great place in the ID (crab, lobster, & clams). Sometimes they even have eel and king crab. Doesn't get any fresher than this. Sometimes they have smaller live fish swimming in the tanks too. Rarely, if ever do they have fresh oysters (at least every time I've been in) or Alaskan fish (too big for the tanks?). One star docked for 1. Not taking plastic 2. Not being a one stop shop (oysters & fish). Be prepared to pay in cash. Cash ONLY.

Yelp
Wong Tung is a little Chinese seafood store in the International District. It is in the same complex that Malay Satay Hut is located on 12th Ave S. The parking situation is pretty dire. Limited and spaces are small. There are a couple of side streets nearby though to ease this issue. Though the space is smaller than Uwajimaya's seafood section down the road and Mutual Fish in Beacon Hill, the selection here is respectable. There is just a handful of different types of fish offered here, but the shellfish selection is quite decent. They carry live abalone, crabs, geoduck, lobsters and shrimp here. Picked up a pound of live shrimp called spot prawns ($6/lb.) as well as a pound of fishcake paste ($6/lb.). The shrimp was a different variety that I have never had before. The head of the shrimp actually was larger than the body meaning there was not a whole lot of meat, but the head portion makes it very flavorful. It was tasty dipped with a ginger and green onion soy sauce. As for the fishcake, this is the only place in Seattle that I know that offers it in paste form like I am used to in Hawaii. Though I see other retailers in the area sell them fried or as fish balls. The fishcake is tasty fried up with some green onions and would work well as fish balls in a soup or congee. While Wong Tung does not have an extensive selection of seafood offerings, what they do have here is good in regards to quality and freshness.

Yelp
Yes, yes it looks dirty from the outside, you can't find parking, and you are hesitant. But, no do not park your car like crap and block others from coming out, which a lot of people do at this parking lot. At Wong Tung, you'll find fresh crabs, lobsters, spot prawns, coon shrimp, clams, oysters, scallops, etc. Been coming here for 7 years now, and I keep coming back for fresh seafood every week.

Yelp
Very fresh seafood and inexpensive. We bought Dungeness crab, clams and oysters. They were all fresh and delicious and affordable. Glad we stopping by!

Yelp
I was looking for a place like this, really great selection and such reasonable prices on Seafood! There is also great big white shrimp, lobster, huge oysters. It's also an Asian grocery store with cool tropical Thai fruits. Fun time!

Yelp
I'm a regular at this market for live dungeness crab, lobster, geoduck, clam, and spot prawn togo. This place sells live shellfish at decent price. I like to buy geoduck here because they offer to clean, gut and skin off the trunk for me. They also packed it nicely with lots of ice to keep it fresh for hours before I drive home way north of Seattle. One minus star: cash only so be prepare to draw some cash before you get here.

Happy Clam O.

Yelp
excellent place to get seafood. the shop is in a strip mall in the international district, has parking spaces in front of the store, which is a plus. price is good and seafood is very fresh. the owners are very helpful and offer great service. they helped me to pick out a geoduck, then killed, skinned, and blanched it, then packed it with ice. all i had to do once i get home is to slice the prepared geoduck and got delicious geoduck sashimi. i highly recommend this place. call before you go to check availability and pricing. this business always answers their phone promptly :)

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite spot to purchase daced fish paste!! They are extremely flavorful and with the right amount of oomph to it. Texture is delish too! Very friendly mom n pop store.
google avatar

Yelp
Yeah geoduck is really good here. very gooey and very delicious
google avatar

Milena P.

Yelp
A friendly stranger tipped me off to this place for fresh geoduck after he ran out at his store. $18/lb, which beat his price by about $8/lb. The lady cleaned it and had it all ready for us to eat once we brought it back to the East Coast. Very happy, I hope other people discover this place!

Yelp
I have brought my patronage to Wong Tung Seafood for at least 15 years because this place is my go to when I want FRESH crab. Yes...you read that correctly. Crabs that are still alive. The turnover rate of their inventory of crabs seem to be very high because I have never brought home a crab that was on its last breath of life. Check out this place if you ever get a chance. The prices are reasonable and inventory is based on demand so if you don't see what you are looking for, just let them know. I gave this business a four out of five stars because the parking spots can be a bit cramped during the weekends. Just park around the corner where there is ample space. I just go on the weekdays after work. FYI: Only cash is accepted.

Yelp
cheap live seafood. lobster, crab, shrimp, geoduck, spot prawns. You name it, they will surely have it. I would totally recommend this place for your seafood :) speaking of wong tung, I do need to do a shrimp and lobster stir fry soon!! This place is the cheapest in chinatown and is super legit. It's just hella sketch but totally ok if you're looking for live seafood for cheap. But if you're looking for sustainable and clean. I would recommend taylor shellfish near the melrose market
google avatar

Alton K.

Yelp
Freshest, cheapest seafood vendor in the city. Absolute must visit for seafood lovers!

Yelp
Nothing fancy.. But what do you expect from a great down to earth seafood place. Clams, live HUGE lobster, HUGE live Alaska king crab! Clams, scallops, snails! And much much more!! Of course I would of loved to get all of this.. But I went in here and got some clams, scallops, 2 live lobsters, and shrimp. They were delicious and great price!! I will come back here to get it all!!! A+... And I'm a white boy, btw.. Lol.. Cash only btw.. Quick in and quick out..

Robert F.

Yelp
Been coming here for over 10 years now. Usually buy live crabs and cant say enough about the staff and fresh products. A must visit for all.
google avatar

Ivan M.

Yelp
my mom gets most of her seafood here. not necessarily the biggest selection but for shellfish, it's very very hard to beat. big gathering? need a sh*t ton of live crab/shrimp/lobster/scallops at rock bottom prices? this is the place for you. absolutely no frills, get in, get out. bada boom bada bing. parking can be difficult on the weekends and they close at six. as people have said before, CASH ONLY.

Maria H.

Yelp
Wong Tung is really a gem! I have been buying live seafood here for years...no doubt the best kept secret. The lady owner is very friendly, if you ask, she will give you valuable cooking secrets to a good meal.
