An easygoing spot, Woo Chon serves up mouthwatering Korean BBQ, hot pot, and bibimbap in a cozy, if slightly worn, atmosphere.

Visited for lunch and began with Dak Tuigim, expecting a distinct starter, only to discover that our later entrée, Kang Poong Gi, was essentially the same deep‑fried chicken in sweet‑spicy sauce, merely in a larger portion. A simple heads‑up from the server would have helped us diversify our order. Bulgogi Dolsot despite the presentation, the seasoning was muted and quickly lost heat. Of the complimentary banchan, crisp pickled cucumbers impressed, kimchi was average, broccoli purely functional, and surprisingly the straightforward soup was the meal’s highlight. Decently affordable experience that could’ve been better.

Amazing Korean bbq and very affordable! We love the marinated pork bulgogi. Pancakes are amazing. Can't go wrong with anything you order!

Google
The food is absolutely fantastic here. Service was a little slow but they got our orders without mistakes. Prices are not bad for what you get, and portions are not skimpy. Will definitely go again.

The kids and I decided on Korean food for dinner. To make sure we had a table that has grills, we made a reservation to secure a spot; this is due to only having 4 tables to bbq on. The rest are just dine in tables. The food was amazing. We ordered bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi. When you get your main dish, you get side dishes as well. The dishes are all marinated in their own way to enhance the flavor of the side dish. Some of the side dishes are rice, cucumbers, bean sprouts, fish cakes, bean paste, garlic, and kimchi. The whole event took about an hour from placing order to paying for our check at the end. We will be back in the near future. Also, I can’t forget the staff, they were all extremely friendly and always saw a smile on their face.

Google
It was great. We had the combo Korean BBQ and the foods were excellent. It was perfect size for two people. I really recommend the Korean BBQ. The meats had really good flavor, we really liked the spicy marinated one. It came with rice and side dishes. We definitely would come back when we visit New York next time!

Google
I highly recommend this place. I go here every year for my birthday and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing and there’s even a coat rack at the entrance. The staff are kind and professional. There are bathrooms but I’ve never used them so I cant speak on their cleanliness. I would recommend calling beforehand to set up a reservation just to be safe since it gets busy during dinner.

Google
This restaurant is amazing. It feels like a home style, cozy Korean spot. The food is cooked well and tasted so good. They also have wonderful service. I recommend this place fr

I was in town from NC and googled this place. The food was very good. I wish they had one in my town. I would definitely eat there again! I got mine to go so I don't know the atmosphere

Yelp
My granddaughter had Mandu Gui (beef dumplings) which she swears are tastier than the ones she had when she visited South Korea, and she always orders Jap chae with beef. While I, a sworn vegetarian, order Jjin Wang Mandu (vegetable dumplings) and order my favorite tofu presentation, Japche Dolsot, which comes in a stone bowl with sweet potato noodles, vegetables and rice sizzling and crispy on the bottom -- mouth watering. The restaurant has barbecue tables which were well attended and plain tables for those who are eating foods such as we ordered. The atmosphere is plain but comfortable and the service is casual and efficient. It's a fine place to try some good Korean cuisine. Our dishes were not particularly photogenic but that is the nature of this food...it was nonetheless delicious!

Yelp
Korean bbq with four different meats to cook at the table. Everything was delicious. Cool experience to cook and eat these great tasting pork beef and chicken selections. Kimche and other sides were tasty. Only downfall was service was pretty lacking. No follow ups for drinks or water or to check on us until I flagged someone down. Servers were polite and responsive but not around and not proactively checking on tables. That said, I will be back to try their hot pot next

Yelp
Wife and I wanted some Korean food while visiting family in Buffalo and ended up here. Don't let the strip mall location deter you, the food is fantastic! We both ordered bibimbap, which came in a huge bowl with rice in the side. This on its own was awesome, but the banchan that came with it was so good. I'm a sucker for fish cakes and theirs are amazing. There were also beansprouts, broccoli, kimchi, and pickles. We got so much good, authentic food for a great price and left very full. There's also Korean BBQ options, but since my wife is pescatarian we didn't partake. I'm sure it's great, as several parties came in to do that while we were there. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
This place doesn't serve the best Korean food I've ever had, but it's also really hard to find Korean food at all in Buffalo! I went with my family over the weekend at lunchtime, and it was really quiet and empty. We didn't have to wait to get seated at all, which was nice. Waitstaff were pretty attentive and friendly. I love Korean seafood pancakes, so we had to order that. It was pretty good! Maybe a bit too oily for me, but had great flavor. We also got the bulgogi, which comes with lettuce and gochujang to make your own wraps with. The bulgogi flavor was pretty standard -- nothing groundbreaking or super memorable, but not bad. Would recommend if you're craving decent Korean food in a peaceful environment -- don't know if it's always this quiet though, maybe we went at an odd time.

Yelp
We walked in and were instantly greeted and provided menus to look at (since it's our first time here). You can sit at a regular table and have your food prepared, or sit at the other tables where you cook it yourself. Now, I personally go out to eat to avoid doing ANYTHING so we chose a regular table. For drinks there are coke and Pepsi products in a can. I didn't look at the other beverages to speak more on this. My company enjoyed his chicken teriyaki, I enjoyed my (butterflied) shrimp teriyaki. It comes with rice and some other things on the side if you would like (such as broccoli or kimchi). Also came with soup (more of a broth) that was very good! The environment is more low-key/casual/lack-luster. But the food is good and something different. Everyone that served us was friendly but not over-bearing (doesn't come over to your table constantly, but nearby and at your service anytime needed). If you prefer a fork over chopsticks, just ask, as you are automatically provided chopsticks and a spoon.

Yelp
The first time I tried Korean bbq here - I only had a 2-3 star experience . We came with a big group of ladies - 6 of us getting Korean bbq and the other 2 ordered off the menu . I ordered the shrimp to try on the grill . It came not cleaned up at all . Trying to shell the shrimp and put it on the grill while others were cooking was too labor intensive and messy . Also , because there was such a big group of us to share 1 grill (2 would have been ideal ) we all had to wait quite some time to actually eat . I left that evening feeling kind of overwhelmed by the experience, and still hungry . I went again this past weekend with my father . We ordered the combo with short rib , spicy pork , chicken and beef bulgogi . Dad left me in charge of the grilling and ordering (I was sure to order an extra bowl of rice ) . It was the perfect amount of meat and sides , we were able to cook everything easily in a good time frame , and the meat was so flavorful and delicious . I would recommend asking for bigger plates to eat and serve on - those little ones don't hold a proper lettuce wrap at all . But we left dinner fully satisfied . Happy I decided to give Korean bbq a second chance !

Yelp
My husband and I were in the Buffalo area and craving Korean food. This place came up in our search, so we went. It's pretty dingy outside and inside, but the food and service is GREAT! They give you plenty of side dishes. Portions are appropriate for the price. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

Yelp
I woke up with a craving for Korean food this morning. Being in Western NY, authentic Korean cuisine is scant. I found Woo Chon on yelp and decided to take a drive. I walked in to a very pleasant restaurant with a calm ambiance. I personally love a more calming atmosphere with soft music rather than loud pop. They'd classical music on. Me likey! The service was fantastic, a very friendly young man waited on me and suggested a few things. I ordered the seafood soondubu as well as ddukbokki. My meal came with all the appetizer dishes pictured. They make their own kimchee in house. All the food was fire and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back for Korean BBQ with friends and family! Bravo.

Yelp
Very sad to leave this review. Seems like new ownership and food quality has gone out the window. I ordered Tteok-bokki and it tasted store bought, it was so bad I couldn't even eat it. It's been months since my husband and I have been able to come here and this used to be one of our favorite restaurants under the old ownership. Friday nights would be packed with non-stop takeout orders. Under the new ownership it speaks for itself, restaurant is half empty with almost no takeout orders. Service is also awful, seems like the new owner is the only server.

Yelp
pretty good spot for korean food in buffalo (do keep in mind that there's not that many). this is a mom and pop shop that serves the basic korean dishes. however do keep in mind that it's a bit pricy and the portion sizes are on the smaller side. being used to KBBQ places in other cities the food is okay. i usually only come here for special occasions i.e a friends birthday. they don't serve liquor, and sometimes there is a wait time so plan accordingly.

Kellie P.

Yelp
If I can give negative star I would, I don't think this Korean restaurant is run by Koreans. All the veges were rotten- I don't know how they can serve side dishes or main dish in that state of rotten food. They make the food so salty so than the customers can't realize it's spoiled. But you can obviously tell by texture, smell, and the color. Avoid here if you can. Our entire family suffered from diarrhea. Shame on you guys.

Yelp
If you are a first timer for Korean BBQ this is the place to go! You should get the two person sampler. The servers were so friendly and the woman explained to us exactly how to use the grill and what to do and all the food in front of us! The short rib was the stand out winner but all of it was really good! We had a great experience and would definitely go again !

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service definitely recommend, love the environment and the vibe of the place is perfect. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to try Korean food

Yelp
Just a small little place but definitely worth it. Went here with my sister and we loved it. We did the Korean bbq where you cook the meat yourself on a grill in a table, we got the combo for 2 people. The meats were great and it came with a variety of different sides to eat, definitely recommend going here. Will be back.

Yelp
Great food, but disappointing can't get a beer. Bulgoki and beer are the perfect pairing.

Yelp
So my husband and me decided to try this place out for New Year's!!! The food was so so delicious!! The service was great very nice people. But unfortunately, I thought the place was very outdated and dirty they really need to do some deep cleaning for example the front desk and walls. I think they would have more business if they focus on how the place looked. Because honestly, the food was amazing and we really do plan on going back. I've tried a lot of Korean barbecue food options throughout my life and honestly, this one takes the cake.

Yelp
amazing k bbq! got dolsot bibimbap and bbq for 2. flavor and seasoning is amazing. service was also great.

Yelp
This was our first visit trying the Korean BBQ. I'm so glad we did! We ordered the combo which included galbi (beef short ribs), chicken bulgogi, spicey pork bulgogi, and beef bulgogi. All were delicious but my favorites were the pork and chicken. Worked out well since my husband perfered the beef. Everything was seasoned perfectly though I'm not necessarily sure what the flavors were.. just knew they were good. This was served with lettuce (to make wraps), rice, bean paste, and a wonderful assortment of side dishes. The meal itself was made more enjoyable with grilling the meat yourself. It's an event rather than just a meal. Good meal and good company. Service was good with periodic checks to see if we needed anything. Always knew we'd be back but now we'll be back to check out more of the BBQ items. 2021-174

Yelp
Buffalo is lucky to have Woo Chon Korea House. But is it good? Not quite. Woo Chon is a basic Korean restaurant that serves no-frills Korean staples. If you've been to Korea or eaten Korean food in a big city you'll probably find Woo Chon to be below average. The side dishes are lazy and sparse. The soups lack flavor. The bbq is as middle of the road as you can get. The service is confusing -- food comes out quickly but you need to ask three times for a refill. They don't have a liquor license so don't go here looking to have a beer with your bbq. The hallway to the bathrooms and the bathrooms themselves are filthy. I've seen cleaner walls at The Pink. The menus are old and crusty. The floors and chairs uneven. Woo Chon hasn't been updated in decades and it shows - from the dirt to the food. Like so many restaurants in Buffalo Woo Chon is Buffalo-good, but we all know what that means. A solid Buffalo 3. If it was in NYC or Toronto I'd give it a 1 and never go back.

Yelp
One of the greatest place for Korean BBQ around WNY. We called ahead to make a reservation since they have limited bbq tables and are busy. Inside looks great and smells amazing from the bbq. Started with some vegetables tempura as an appetizer and then ordered two combos meats for our bbq. The meats portions were huge and filling. Besides the meats, they provided side dishes, rices and lettuces for the bbq. Foods were really tasty and portion was enough for all of us. Overall, this is one of the best place for Korean food and bbq I've been in Western NY.
google avatar

Oskar W.

Yelp
It is an excellent old Korean restaurant in town; the service is good, and the food is tasty as well; the only thing is the restaurant is a bit "out of date," and the floor is "oily."
google avatar

Yelp
If I was from the area, I would consider this my favorite hole in the wall for Korean food. Owned and operated by - Korean nationals. Food is as Korean authentic as it gets. Fusion is not in this restaurant. The Woo Chon is a perfect combination with bibimbap. You can spice it to your liking!!! Well everything served can be spiced to tour liking:-)))) Quick to serve and staff are attentive!!

Yelp
Bad service, no refil, rushed diners. Bug in hot pot! Waiter was told kitchen closed for refill condiments ? Such bad service and dishes came out such small potion and over priced for what they are. Do Not come and waste your hard earned money here. Go instead to the one by the Seneca casino, much better service and better food.

Yelp
This is a cool, little tucked away location. I came here for a quick lunch one day as I was headed back to work from another appointment. My goal was to get my food and get back to work in 30 minutes. I failed! The reason(s) that I failed was because the food came out really fast! I ordered a Korean pancake and a bowl of ramen. They were not busy at the time, but daaaaaaang. I was impressed. I figured that since I got the food that fast, I could scarf some f it down before I left. After tasting the food, I had a decision to make; do I go all in and finish it? Do I rush through the delicious flavors and not enjoy them the way the chef had intended while risking being late, or do I compromise the integrity of the delicious flavors by packing up my meal and eating it later. I chose to gobble it up right there! The rame tasted packaged, but the broth flavor was good. The pancake was cooked perfectly, but I got the feeling that it may have been packaged also. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, from the service to the meal. I just wish it tasted more home made.

Yelp
We decided to try this Korean Restaurant because of its high Yelp reviews. I called up for a reservation and they said we could come in at 6:15 but had to leave by 7:30. I agreed. We arrived at 6:10 and our orders weren't taken until 6:35. Our waitress wasn't very helpful and actually rude at times. We were seated at a cooking station where you cook your own barbecue, which was fine. I ordered the Bulgogi. My friend ordered fried rice and a noodle dish. She came back 10 minutes later and said we had to order 2 barbecue dishes to sit where we were. So we ordered the barbecue for 2. She didn't bring our tea or water out. We didn't see her again until she plopped our food down. That's when we found out we had to do the cooking, which we didn't have a problem with. All the food was delicious and we didn't see her until 7:28 when she told has we had to leave because other people were waiting for our table. She than starts hurriedly busing our table without giving us a bill. She said you have to leave and I told her I would be glad to if I got my bill. As I said food was outstanding and the service sucked. I should take more than one star away, however the food was that good!!!

Yelp
I have been here a few times in the past, ordering prepared meals off the menu. I really like the Crispy Rice Bowls served in super hot stone bowls. During myy most recent meal here with friends, we ordered the Korean Barbecue which comes with raw meat that you cook yourself on a hot grill in the middle of the table. This was an experience you need to try at least once. It was fun but I definately prefer that their kitchen cook for me. We still had a good time cooking our own food with friends. One note about the beverages they offer. They serve no alcoholic beverages and most other beverages are served from individual cans or bottles, no fountain drinks. I definately recommend going here but if you plan to sit at one of the few barbecue grill tables, make a reservation.

Yelp
The scallion pancakes were delicious. The soondubu was good. The dolsot bibimbap was ok. My biggest issue with Woo Chon is the restaurant. It is very dirty, dingy, and the air is stale. Seeing how the bathroom and dining area are, I am concerned with the cleanliness of the kitchen.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
We love going here for Korean bbq. You get to cook your food in the table too grill. It's always a fun and tasty meal.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
I've probably been here at least 2-3 times. The Korean barbecue is delicious, the side dishes are out of this world (and unlimited-within reason, naturally). Obviously if you don't like cooking your own food, this place isn't for you. I also love that there's an option to get (genuinely) spicy food here!

Sarah W.

Yelp
Had to try it when I realized they do BBQ and was not disappointed. I thought the bbq would distract my picky kid so we could eat something without hearing whining, and it worked. We had the BBQ combo and a few other things shared. The BBQ was all really well-marinated, tender, and flavorful, with great sides. Of all things I didn't expect the chicken to be so good-normally not my favorite-but it was amazing. Soondubu with kimchi was really flavorful, but not over the top spicy. The scallion pancake was really crispy and the scallions weren't stringy. I enjoyed the ginger tea and suspect that's why I didn't feel stuffed after eating so much. Portions were good sized. Service was good. I called and made an early reservation for a BBQ table this morning and they seated us immediately when we arrived, took order within a few minutes, and did not rush us out. Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
There was nothing wrong with my meal I did beef bib in bap and fried fish appetizer Fried fish fresh and hot. No seasoning, but fix Abe with gojujang The bib in bap had a trace of beef but the vegetables were on point. I've always had my bibinbap in a hot clay bowl where the rice is sticky on the bottom, but enjoyable The fresh steam rice was acceptable but not what was expected There wasn't any daikon radish in my dish but lots of crunchy carrots All in all a respectable dish! Thank you

Yelp
Went here on Cinco de Mayo, because Mexican on Cinco de Mayo is just too crowded! Service was great, with a young man who was able to explain the various entrees. We ordered the bibimpap bowl in the hot bowl and something else, sorry don't remember the name! The food was good and fresh and sides were good, especially the fish cakes and kim chi. I think I'd like to try the BBQ table next time.

Beth R.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Family style Korean BBQ at its best. We would definitely go back again.

Yelp
Tucked into a small plaza with several other delicious-sounding restaurants, I'm glad my wife discovered this one. She's Korean-American herself, regularly gets cravings for Korean food, and often laments the difficulty of finding good Korean food in WNY. We lived in Los Angeles for a few years, where there is no shortage of great Korean BBQ, the most low-key underrated niche of BBQ all in America. My wife is a huge fan of bibimbap in particular. In LA, there was a sort of "fast food" Korean restaurant called BibiGo that would serve bibimbap and it was good enough to satisfy her occasional cravings. She tried the bibimbap at Woo Chon, of course, and it blew BibiGo's out of the water (as it should). As for me, I was torn between bibimbap and Korean BBQ... I ended up settling for Bulgogi Dolsot, which is sort of a happy medium. It was delicious. Their sides and portion sizes were perfect. The staff were also extraordinarily kind and accommodating as well. My wife brought her adoptive parents, who are Italian and Irish and have little experience with authentic Asian cuisine. They loved it too and are looking forward to "next time." Very happy to have discovered this place. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you wanna kiss me, time to get your SMOOCH ON If you wanna get a puppy, time to get your POOCH ON If you like Italia Kash it's time to get your TOOCH ON But if you like Korean food, get yourself to WOO CHON If you like buddy movies, put Turner And HOOCH ON If you need to borrow money, time to get your MOOCH ON If Barbie's horny, then I let her get her COOCH ON But if you love Yuk Gae Jang, try the one at WOO CHON WHAT What to get: Yug Gae Jang (beef soup). And there you were thinking "Woo Chon" was something you used to scream at a Bon Jovi concert when he ruffled his permed hair while the opening bars of "Livin' On A Prayer" played. Back in England, I lived in a Korea House. In that if you didn't pursue a financially lucrative Korea, you were kicked out of the house. How do you think I ended up over here? A lot has happened since I wrote this review and one of the big things that went down in my weekly routine in Buffalo is that my favorite Korean place - Seoul Garden - closed down forever. That was so very sad for me. I would go there at least once a week and sometimes twice a week to get my Korean soup - Yuk Gae Jang. Luckily, the slightly more expensive and slightly more upscale - okay a lot more upscale - Woo Chon, has filled in nicely. Granted, you can only get lunch specials here from Tuesday to Friday because they're closed Monday and don't do it on the weekend. But if I make it in here during the lunch hours on those 4 days I have an absolutely spectacular version of YGJ and one of the top 10 in the country that I've had. Possibly top 5 even. I do miss my beloved Seoul Garden but WCKH have made the blow a little softer. SG never told me they were leaving. One day I was in there, a few days later they were closed down. I was very sad and I hope they're okay and I hope they whatever they're doing in their lives, they're having a wonderful time. I had a bad feeling because almost nobody was ever in there. Don't let that happen to this place too. Though the 4 other Korean spots (Chin Hills, Arirang, Koreana and VIP Karaoke) are all good for one thing or another, and all very different, Woo Chon is now the gold standard for WNY, and the only one I go to regularly. They have Korean BBQ here, which the other 3 places don't. Some of the tables are special "Korean BBQ" tables. I've never tried it, I'd love to. I have to figure out if this is a good place for my first Korean BBQ experience or not, first. Woo Chon is fancier and slightly more spacious than the others. Prices are a little higher than the others. But the food is amazing and the service is amazing. And when I came here with Justin recently, my housemate, we ordered the $50 Korean BBQ combo, and let me tell you - these people know how to put on a delicious and spectacular Korean BBQ. I am not usually as impressed by Korean BBQ food, but you should try it here, for sure. If you can afford it. Personally, I prefer my soup. Korean food is soup, as far as I'm concerned - the best soup you'll ever have, anywhere. And for me, it's Yuk Gae Jang all the way, and not many places in the USA make it better than Woo Chon. The service here is some of the best of the Korean places, too. Really lovely people and delicious soup. The decor is definitely the best and it's the nicest "date night" spot out of the four, in fact it's really the only one that looks like they made a big effort to make it "restauranty" rather than "hole in wall-y" which might explain the slightly higher prices. Speaking of Wall-y, they're making Wall-E 2. Apparently. The YGJ here is so good, I'm in love. Perhaps the reason I like it the best is because of what they put in it... maybe the spices, maybe the meat, I can't tell. Make sure you give Korea House a try. If you love Korean food as much as I do, you may well uncover a favourite. Most towns in the USA don't even have one good Korean place... Korea House would be top notch in LA, NYC or Houston. That's how good it is. There's actually a rap act named after this restaurant, that's how good it is. The "Woo Chon Clan." Very well-respected and exciting act. Much like this restaurant. Just don't come in here panhandling or asking them for money or free food. It's not fair to mooch on Woo Chon.

Yelp
Everything is what you'd expect to eat at a Korean restaurant. Everything was good and the flavors were there. The portions are a bit small and the baskets that they put the lettuce in had some mold at the bottom so check for that. I only realized it after we ate all the lettuce lol.

Yelp
It's been a while since I came here. I always just go to the korean restaurant on Niagara Falls blvd but decide to go here with my friend who is visiting. It is a nice and cozy place. There's like 4-5 tables that are just for korean bbq because of the grill setup. I just went for the regular food. It is a little pricey at this restaurant but nice to go to once in a while. I ordered the the sliced beef with rice cake in beef broth. It is a non spicy soup but you can ask to make it spicy. It was just the prefect amount of spice for me. Love the side dishes. One thing I wish they had was the purple rice but it's okay. The food was still good

Yelp
I loved this place! In the middle is Wang Mandu, the steamed vegetable dumplings. I had Ojinguh Dolsot, spicy pan-fried squid and vegetables over rice. Really cool that it was served in a hot stone bowl. Sides of fish cake, kimchi, soup, broccoli, glass noodles, all complimentary. Part of the Korean experience-- no courses, and a spirit of sharing. My dad had Bibimbap I believe, cooked assorted vegetables and chicken. He said it came with the best egg he's ever had on top. I also recommend the aloe vera juice, both unique and delicious. I'll be back!

Yelp
When you think about going out to eat, you don't plan on cooking your own food. Heck that's why you went out to eat in the first place, so that you end up avoiding the choir. But coming to Korea house, and cooking your own dinner is actually pretty fun. You can also come and eat at the regular tables and be served as well. But if you want to be seated at a grilling table, call ahead of time to book one. We ordered the combo meal (enough for 2) that consisted of 4 different thin sliced meats (chicken, 2 beefs, pork). You get a generous amount of meat that is seasoned all differently. Off hand I do not remember what the flavors were, but if I had to guess. Teriyaki may of been one, then there was a spicy pork. Along with the meats you get several mini bowls of toppings and sides. You can eat these by themselves, or you can use these ingredients as a filling for your lettuce wraps. Everything was quite tasty and I am looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Amazing pork bulgogi. Lunch box specials are great! Authentic food done well. Worth checking out.

Yelp
There really are not too many authentic Korean restaurants in Buffalo, so when my friend told me about Woo Chon Korea House I was ecstatic! I've never had Korean food, so I tried the Woo Chon Full Set. This meal has a little of everything and was a great introduction to Korean food. The food was amazing. The fish was nice and crispy and the bulgogi made me want to regret my decision to share with my husband . The food is served family style with authentic Korean sides. It is really interesting trying the different combinations with rice, food or even then lettuce. If this is your first Korean food experience I highly recommend trying the bulgogi. You will not be disappointed! Next time I'm in the area I will be sure to try their BBQ station!

Yelp
The portions are way too small for $25 each. It was really disappointing to order $50 plus worth of food and get less than a pound of meat and veggies together. The 2nd problem at this place is the grill. They use a grill that's unique here and it's not great. It has a lot of spots that burn the food within 10 seconds whole others take a few minutes to cook which doesn't leave very much time to flip the food or get some grill marks on it before everything stays burning. The grill is also on a 45 degree angle for some reason so everything slides off which is annoying.

Yelp
Favorite Korean place in Buffalo! It's authentic and everything is solid here - from the kbbq to the soondubus to the seafood pancakes! The banchan are also good.

Yelp
Yummy! We were greeted and seated shortly after walking in the door. The dining room is not very big and they only have three Korean bbq tables; so, if you plan to bbq, I'd suggest making a reservation. Lucky for my group, we went around 3pm and were able to snag the only free bbq table. I got hot rice tea and bulgogi dolsot that came out in a hot stone bowl. I really liked that there were refills on the tea just like coffee; typically, I don't find that to be the case when I order hot tea while dining out. The bulgogi was good, but from previous experience eating bulgogi, I was expecting it to be spicy and it did not seem spicy to me at all. One companion got the fried rice with beef. She said it was good. The other person got the Korean bbq with a variety of meats... Chicken, spicy pork, rib eye and ribs. Lettuce pieces and rice also came with the bbq, so you can cook the meat to your liking and make a lettuce wrap with meat rice and a selection of veggies/sauce. He thought it was all fantastic! I liked the selection of "small plates" that came out with his bbq, including kimchi, marinated cucumbers, fish cakes, garlicy bean sprouts, broccoli and more! If you're looking for authentic Korean, I believe Woo Chon will hit the spot!

Yelp
Came here for lunch and to see if the food was worth trying. I'm always a fan of Bibimbap, and that was absolutely out of this world. If you want to try this dish, which is served in a stone bowl that is heated to 600° (typically), make sure you order from the rice bowl section, starting halfway down. I had the squid and my colleague had the dolsum Bibimbap. Kids don't try this at home! Touching the (atomically) hot bowl will have a negative influence on the integrity of your skin!! The squid was tender, well marinated, spicy, and delicious. The side dishes were fresh and tasty. The service was great, the prices were reasonable. I will totally come back.

Yelp
I feel the need to update my review since I literally come here 2-3 times a week, and people need to know that this place has stayed consistently delicious and I hope the owners never ever retire! Since my last review from 5 years ago, I have tried their BBQ many, many, and I do mean, MANY times. You have to order a minimum 2 orders of BBQ dishes to be able to grill at the table, or else they grill the food in the kitchen for you if it's just a single order. There are a lot more sides (banchan) when you order the BBQ, including the usual fish cake, bean sprouts, broccoli, and kimchi that you get with lunch, but they also give you additional ones like mashed potato salad, pickled cucumbers and radishes, and green leaf salad in their special yummy dressing etc. You also get pork bone soup, rice, and baskets of plain lettuce in case you want to make a lettuce wrap with the barbecued meats. I highly recommend wrapping a piece of meat, some kimchi, a couples slices of fresh garlic, and a dab of the soybean chili paste - it's amazing. We usually just order galbi (beef short ribs) cause my hubby is a lover of the cow, but beginners should perhaps try the combination with the bulgogi (marinated thinly sliced sirloin/rib eye), chicken, pork, and shrimp. I remember the pork being extra spicy so you'll have to watch out for that. Other dishes we like to order include the beef dumplings, seafood pancake, jap chae (clear noodles with meat and veggies), bibimbap (meat, veggies, and an egg in hot stone pot with korean hot sauce), and of course, my absolute favorite - kimchi jigae (tofu, pork, rice cakes, clear noodles, and kimchi in a spicy broth). Everything is always finger licking good and all the friends and family we have taken to the restaurant all rave about it. There are so many other things on the menu that I want to try, hopefully soon! They do get very busy at times so I would recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you want a BBQ table because they have a limited number of them.

Yelp
My favorite Korean restaurant in WNY. I am never disappointed with their food or service. We both got bulgogi lunch boxes for ourselves and then soondubu to split. The price for each lunch box was great and you get a good variety of food. The orange tastes different than most oranges, and in a good way -- it tasted sweeter than any other orange I've ever tried. The bulgogi, japchae, gyoza, and kimbap were also great. I've tried a few other restaurants' soondubu in WNY and theirs is still my favorite. We asked for two bowls so we could split the soondubu between two people and they gave us two of the small steel bowls with no problem. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for Korean food and will definitely be back again.

Yelp
We've visited this place once before, approximately 2 years ago. My husband out of the blue wanted grilled Korean bbq so we went. They were quite busy on a Wednesday evening. They only have a handful of tables with grills, and they were all occupied. We opted to have our meat cooked in the kitchen and sat at a regular table. The place is quite dingy. The decor is falling apart, bathroom is not great, but the food was good. Service was prompt. We ordered the Dolsot bibimbap(stone bowl mixed rice), Sam gyup sal (grilled pork belly), gal bi(short ribs) and bulgogi(marinated beef). Portions of the short ribs were quite small. The each meat order came with a bowl of white rice and a set of side dishes called ban-chan. The food was good but a little on the expensive side considering portion size and dinginess of the restaurant. Unfortunately our choices in Korean bbq in the area are extremely limited (actually this might be the only one T_T) so we shall be returning!
