6 Indulgent Food-Themed Singapore Staycations to Whet Your Appetite

"Inspired by the four elements, the bar’s Fossa Chocolate cocktails shine: the O2 Breathe blends peanut-butter fat-washed bourbon whisky with Fossa’s Chilli Peanut Praline Dark Chocolate, smoked over hickory wood and cacao husk, while the Torched layers vodka infused with cacao nibs, crème de cacao, and chocolate foam crowned with torched marshmallows." - Mikka Wee

Woobar at Hotel W Sentosa is a hidden gem! Karan, the supervisor, was absolutely fantastic - super attentive and made our evening truly special. We loved the Cheeseboard Charcuterie and Cheese platter - a must-try! The setting is gorgeous, overlooking the poolside with stunning views. We timed it just right, arriving early evening to soak in the beautiful dawn colours. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and indulgent experience!"

Last minute meal decision due to me not feeling comfortable going into Skirt for dinner with the clothes I had on. Not disappointed one bit I decided WOOBAR. The service was excellent and the menu selection is very much diverse, low lighting set a comfortable mood and my lychee martini was made perfect.

Cool and chic ambiance within W Hotel lobby. Great place to chill and enjoy a cup of cappuccino by Tanamera Coffee. (even if you are not a hotel guest) Great choice of music playing in the surroundings. Attentive staff too.

Indulge in a sophisticated and vibrant ambiance at WOOBAR, nestled within the stylish confines of W Singapore hotel. Situated conveniently next to the lobby or living room, this bar exudes contemporary charm and offers an array of enticing libations to tantalize your taste buds. During my stay, I found myself drawn to the lively atmosphere of WOOBAR, where I had the pleasure of enjoying the Marriott Titanium Elite cocktail hour from 5 to 7 pm. The free-flow cocktails and delectable snacks provided during this exclusive event added an extra layer of enjoyment to my evening, allowing me to unwind in style and savor the moment. Whether sipping on expertly crafted drinks or mingling with fellow guests, WOOBAR provided the perfect setting for socializing and relaxation. With its chic surroundings and enticing offerings, it quickly became one of my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy the vibrant energy of W Singapore.

Celebrated 1 year wedding anniversary with a high tea here. The staff here were very friendly and gave us a surprise dessert. The TWG teas were good but however trying of different flavors of tea is not allowed. Some of the food items were good but some are not that great. Presentation of the Hi-Tea is very unique. Seats overlooking W hotel poolside.

Had the afternoon high tea with a friend. The food was mostly good. Would rate it about 8 of 10. Not crazy about the sweet stuff but the savouries were great. Good selection of tea and coffee. Service could be improved though. Not many diners but the staff kept forgetting our requests and we had to ask for what we wanted (eg serving spoon) several times before they sent it over. Not sure about pricing cos was a treat from friend.

Yelp
In many parts of the world, Woobars tend to be poppin' and you can be assured of 1. good drinks 2. great crowd. Unfortunately W SG is not exactly in a central location (at the far end of Sentosa) and when we went on a Fri night, it was almost dead. 2 stars for the cool ambience, which is less trippy than its international counterparts but still fills a niche market in the SG hotel scene for the well-heeled yuppie crowd. 0.5 stars for the finger food. If I am paying circa$10-20 (can't remember how much now) for truffle fries, then you better bloody make sure i can taste the truffle on it... it was bland and I had to mask this with an avalanche of sodium. 2.5 stars location. Will be back only if I am staying at the hotel.

Yelp
We headed to Woobar for their 3 tiered high tea which they have weirdly named DROP THE T2. Being a sucker for all things pretty, what got me interested was the presentation of the food. Take a look for yourself. Silver bird cages holding the sweet delights line the dining area. Ladies of leisure sip on tea and nibble on little bites while enjoying a bird's eye view of the outdoor marina and yachts. For S$58 for 2 pax, you can feast on the good looking people, not so much the food. Tea and coffee are free flow and you can change the drinks whenever you want. Fine Dilmah tea is served here and they fared better than the coffee. The savory bites were very limited. The 3 pieces were the Chocolate Foie Gras Ganache Tart with Port Wine Jelly and gold leaf, Smoked Chicken Brioche and the Sliced Gravlax Salmon with Soft Goat's Cheese Roll. The foie gras tart was more of a sweet dish than a savory one due to the double combination chocolate and port wine. It wasn't too bad imo but not fantastic either. The brioche was too dry and it's filling pathetic. Of the lot, my favorite was the the smoked salmon and goat cheese roll. The sweets were alright if not for the fact that the huge marshmallow balls were disgusting. The airy puffs were waaaaaayyyy too sweet. I can't imagine anyone liking the mint green one unless you like eating toothpaste. I like their scones as well, plain and cranberry were served with passion fruit curd and clotted cream (so they say but i tell you they are whipped for sure). Though the pale looking scones lacked the crunch that i much preferred on the outside, they were dense and had sufficient moisture on the inside. The pairing with the sweet and sour passion fruit curd made them taste way better than they were on their own. Now their macarons are actually pretty good. Way better than the regular Antoinette, Bakerzin and Canele. I put them on par with Obolo's and that's something for a locally made macaron. My verdict? WOOBAR is not a good place for tea. Food isn't great, ambience isn't that fantastic as well. That price will get you better tea somewhere else. If you are in the area, i'd suggest Kith Cafe or another restaurant at Quayside Isle.

Yelp
They have a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday free flow all with different themes. I went for the Saturday Mexican theme and it was $45.00 for 3 hours and was so worth it. The ambience and service were great and we met one of the staff member named Nesh who was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend going!!!
