Wood Pizza Bistro & Taphouse

Cool place with great pizza and huge beer selection. The pizza is great. It's hand made and cooked in an brick wood fired oven that was right next to our table. This place has a large outdoor patio with a cozy indoor bar/restaurant area. Service was excellent.

Really delicious pizza. Enjoyable door patio is a gem. Inside is a little small so I would go there on a nicer day so you have more room to spread out at one of the tables on the patio. Service was decent. Didn’t try any of the other food but looked tasty.

40 beers on tap! Wood fired Pizza was really very good. Fun inside and outside seating. Nice staff!

Poor service , waited over an hour and a half , I️ was given a lame excuse by their “ manager” Least you would of had expected was for the restaurant to pick up the tab, they gave us the Cinema discount 15%. That being said. Their Pizza is actually very good .

Nice terrace, large beer choice and great pizza

Went here with group of 6 for happy hour drinks. After 30 minutes, had to ask waitress to take our drink orders. When one of us asked her what was the difference between two cocktails she said ''they're basically the same" (one was a Rosemary cocktail, other was gin-based and completely distinct). The cocktails were syrupy and repulsive. I wish we wouldn't have wasted our time and money here. If given the choice between the warm Budweiser in your backpack and this place, choose the warm beer every time.

After a long day exploring, one in our party wanted pizza. We found Wood Pizza near our hotel. It was close to closing and there were not a lot of people in the place. We were warned the pizza would take 15-20 minutes to bake. It took a little longer and being late and tired were a little anxious and frustrated. When the pizza finally arrived we each grabbed a slice or two. We thought we would have a lot of leftovers given the late hour, but NO, we nearly ate up both pizzas. The pepperoni was SO fresh and so delicious. The sausage, peppers and onion was extremely tasty. It was worth the wait! Everything is freshly made and you can definitely taste it. I'm usually not one for pizza when traveling to New Orleans, but this pizza was mouth watering good! Would definitely suggested Wood Pizza if you need a slice or several...

I would definitely go back. The Good- Pizza is made fresh while you wait. They hand toss the dough and are not using pre-made frozen stuff. The menu was a little limited, but it was all very good and presented some good options. I only gave them a 4 star rating because the server and bartender were arguing about how a bottle of wine had been sold to a customer in front of us. I think that is a back room discussion not to be had in-front of your guests. We don't want to hear about you can maximize your revenue. Honestly the server was right. If the guest wanted 2 glasses of wine, and the bottle only has 2.5 glasses in it, the client has the right to pay for just 2 glasses. They do not need to pay for the full bottle if they don't want it. Either that or take it off the menu. Regardless, the food was great, and I would recommend it to anyone who asked. I don't especially even like pizza, and I am already thinking of going back.
