On the Grid : Woodbine Park

"Larger than your average park–with a beautiful pond right in the middle, and a stage too! This park is known for hosting the Beaches International Jazz Festival. With the rise of big-named events coming to our city, you'll very likely find yourself at this park this summer for events such as Bestival or the Food Truck Festival. Take advantage of this park on a nice sunny day by having a picnic because the view is b-e-a-utiful." - Mimi Vuong

Beautiful park and a fantastic location for events. Checked it out for the vegandale event. Although the weather app said no rain, it rained and it was easy for those without umbrellas to run to the shed! Not many parks have something of that sort here based on what I’ve seen. Very few parks perhaps. If you visit in the morning hours, there is plenty of parking space. Guess it usually gets super crowded post evening. Need to visit it another day when there are no events, with our dog, to see how the place actually is.

We come here about once a week. It's great for my 2 year old to walk around and see the bunnies, play with other kids, and the playground is great for her too. By the end of our visit she is very tired and we love that.

Nice and clean beach. There is a changing room with bathrooms and shower facilities. A nice park towards the right that follows along the lake. You can see Swans and Herons. It’s a rare sighting!

Amazing spot in the Woodbine neighborhood. You can visit the park all seasons to see varieties of natural beauty. You can enjoy the fall, the spring, of course summers and winter walks. The pond with surrounding benches is an amazing spot to enjoy the sunset. The pond usually has geese, ducks and swans swimming. The park also has public restrooms. Well connected to the TTC public transport system. It has also got some young Sakura trees which over the coming years will be an important spot for watching cherry blossoms.

Great place to spend a sunny day. The cold water under the hot sun makes you want to stay just some more time in the water. Parking is crowded though and almost impossible.

I came here for Afrofest this past weekend. The park is kept very clean and the lawn was cut low. There's many places to sit and relax (benches and grass area). Parking is definitely hard to find, but that could be because thousands of people were coming here for the festival. It's a great place to host this festival!

It's a nice park for picnics, cycling and walks. Washrooms are available in the middle of the park. There is a small pond of water with a seating area around serene and calm. A cute little Measurement park adjoins Woodbine Park.

Yelp
This is a beautiful & very large park in Toronto,Canada. They hold different festivals & events here all the time !!! This was my 2nd time being there in a little over a month. Last month, I was at the "Food Truck Festival" & this past Sunday ,the "Busker Festival". Both were a very good time with lots of different foods & great entertainment. The park itself is beautiful just to walk through , jog or have a picnic with the family. The pond is beautiful with a fountain and benches to sit on. If you get a chance, look up their events & attend one or just have a nice walk & lunch here. It's so nice & peaceful.

Yelp
Here for Paws in the Park event. Come on down to adopt a pet from Toronto Humane Society Clean Park. Not too crowded.

Yelp
I'm not surprised that I am the first to review woodbine park. With the volume of traffic that goes to the beaches, it has often amazed me at how many people don't realize that this venue is available right across the street from ashbridges bay. The beauty of this park is that it is literally surrounded by trees, hills and a marsh making it almost invisible to the streets surrounding it (except for a small opening on coxwell (where there is free parking :)) ) The natural surroundings also create a great stage as the sound stays inside this natural enclosed arena but also dampens the noise to the surrounding homes and businesses. I've visited here a couple of times for ribfests, blues concerts, you name it. Most are free and family friendly! The community does a good job of utilitizing this space in the summer to bring events to the beaches and if you have an opportunity to walk away from your volleyball game or your tanning sessions, walk into this nature theatre and see what event is playing...there is bound to be something every weekend in the summer.....

Yelp
Visited this park for the first time during a Latin festival. Huge grounds full of good food trucks! There was a beer tent set up and a lot of people sitting all over the park or dancing. We sat underneath a tree on a blanket and ate tacos. The music and dancing was amazing!

Yelp
Woodbine Park is a hidden gem in the east. I ride my bike around or through this park almost everyday and it has so many personalities. In the early morning you might find a couple people walking their dog. It's so nice and secluded and peaceful near the pond. But in the afternoon it transforms in to a hub of activity. Mostly due to the splash pad in the west end of the park near Northern Dancer Blvd. If i was a kid i'd definitely be playing there! There are benches along some of the pathways near the pond and marsh areas. I just love it. Sit and watch the ducks and there is a pretty swan too. In the summer there are several festivals that take place here as well. The Beaches Jazz Festival, Ribfest, Waterfront Blues Fest, the Muhtadi International Drum Festival, and just this past week as i was riding my bike home there was some kind of kids fair set up. I don't know what it was, but there was trampolines, bouncy castle and a CN Safety Train tootin' around. Looked super fun. If you still want to enjoy the sun, but not get sand up in every crevice at the Beach, then cross the street to Woodbine Park, lay out your blanket and chill.

Yelp
Nice spacey park--perfect for walking dogs and strolling on a nice summer day. Was recently in there for Woofstock and it's Big enough to hold the hundreds of vendors at this event including food trucks. It also is big enough to host many other various events during the summer and is conveniently located minutes from woodbine beach.

Yelp
First time visiting as the annual summer Woofstock was taking place at this location. Quite a spacious, open area and there appeared to be a set stage for performances as well. It was by far a better location for a dog festival as compared to previous years it was held in the downtown area. It is far to travel but its nice to have events take place. I hope the next years' summer woofstock is the same.

Yelp
This is a great park and much quieter than Ashbridges Bay Park. Lots of parking around and beautiful landscape. Check it out and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I've only been to this park for events like jazz fest & Paw's in the Park. It's always been clean, good space. They have a stage at one end of the park. It's a good park, check it out for the events it holds. I've always had a good time.
