On the Grid : Woodbines Craft Kitchen

"Woodbines is a friendly, unpretentious gastropub in downtown LIC specializing in burgers & beer. With 12 craft brews on tap and 30 bottles, you'll surely find the one that best suits you. The menu is a familiar mix of traditional Irish and American bar food. We opted for the veggie burgers which came with a side dip of mild curry sauce — a nice touch slightly to the left of ordinary. Which is something we love. Happy Hour is every day, and there is a brunch menu on weekends." - MSLK

Where To Eat Outside In Long Island City

"Woodbines is a neighborhood bar with great cocktails, and an afternoon drinking on their front patio would be an afternoon well spent. But drinks are only half the picture here, and you should absolutely explore the long menu of bar food as well. It ranges from Irish sausage rolls and curry fries, to short rib spring rolls and a lamb burger with goat cheese, all of which is available daily from 11am-10pm." - matt tervooren

Where To Day Drink In Winter

"Not every bar is great for day drinking. Some make you feel like you’re hiding from a bookie or trying to drink away the memories from a heist that went bad and made you change your last name. Woodbines, however, isn’t like that. It’s a nice bright pub in Long Island City, and it’s the sort of place where you can sit at the bar, drink a beer, and read a book when you’re trying to spend minimal time outdoors." - bryan kim, matt tervooren

Woodbines - Review - Long Island City - New York - The Infatuation

"Woodbine’s is a pub, but it’s nicer, cleaner, and a little more West Elm-y than the usual place where you play darts and drink Guinness. It’s open all day, they serve a full dinner menu, and they also have live music sometimes. Plus, it’s nice enough for a date (you can grab a table in the back), and it’s a good spot to hang out and eat a burger if you ever find yourself in Long Island City." - Bryan Kim

The spicebox dish is very good. The shepherd's pie was nice, but a bit high in veggies. The staff were really friendly and nice and we got to sit outside on a nice day. Definitely worth checking out.

Only stopped in to grab a drink and watch some NBA. To my surprise there was fettuccine Alfredo on the menu and took a chance ordering some since I’ve been craving white sauce pasta for the last 2 months. It was AMAZING and exactly what I was hoping for!!!! I will definitely be back just for the Alfredo. The drinks are reasonably priced and the chicken wings and fries were good too :)

Always good to be back at Woodbines. This place has that classic, welcoming vibe that’s getting harder to find these days. Great drinks, solid food, and friendly staff who make you feel like a regular even if it’s been a while. They serve a proper Guinness here. A reliable go-to in LIC that still holds up!

UPDATE: Excellent burgers and food! Nice beer selection as well. Ran into a friend of mine that ordered me a couple of shots on his behalf, only to find them on MY bill after he left. It was clearly an "honest mistake" and was quickly rectified and corrected by Clive and staff. :) It's always a plus, when an establishment with excellent food and drink, also has management staff who care enough to apologize and try to make up for it. I will be returning soon :) Thank you Clive.

Google
I had the basket of sweet potato fries, and the nachos! The fries were divine but the nachos, not so good! They were really dry and didn't have much black bean or filling! My friend had the short rib grilled cheese sandwich and the fried pickles, OMG, heavenly!! I gave a 4 star for food, but it would have been lower if I didn't taste my friend's grilled cheese and pickles...

Google
Really good hamburger with Gluten Free bun. Large and juicy! Usually I like some kind of dressing cause burgers can be dry, but this was so tasty I enjoyed it with just the usual veggies. Will return for happy hour and sample some other things.

Google
Great burger, I had the woodbine burger and my daughter had the lamb burger. Both were cooked perfectly. Our server was excellent, my only reason for 4 stars on the atmosphere was it was a bit loud. . Can't wait to go again

Google
Very clean and well styled place, Terry and all the other bartenders are fantastic, friendly bartenders. But the real star here is the food. The food ALWAYS hits here. Like anything they make seems to have been mastered by their kitchen staff. It's great. For good food and a good time, trust woodbine.

Yelp
I've ordered burgers from a lot of places in LIC near or on Vernon Blvd and Woodbines' is by far the best. Great sized burger, tons of additions, and pretty comparable in price to much less worthy burgers in the area. After trying a bunch, it's Woodbines burger that I keep coming back to. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
I always have a great experience here and have been to this place a few times. Their food is good! Some dishes I've tried are their burgers, lobster Mac & cheese, herb roasted chicken and shepherd's pie. All are pretty savory. They have a variety of drinks including mocktails but I usually stick to beer. Service is always pleasant and attentive. The space itself is a decent size with some tables, outdoor dining, and seating at the bar.

Yelp
Froze all day?! OK! Delicious food with veggie and vegan options for non carnivores, big drinks and cocktails menu offers libations for all pallets. Ordered fried pickles, nachos and the beet salad and it was plenty to share with a friend. The fried pickles were perfect. The service was great also, accommodating, and prompt made sure our drinks and waters were never empty. The outdoor seating is perfect for people watching the folks of Long Island City! Woodbines also offers plenty of seating inside at the bar as well as a few tables. Prices are pretty standard for NY, feels more like a restaurant then a pub, I would love to see a happy hour special here in case I missed it. I'll gladly check them out again next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Stopped by Woodbines with a friend after searching for a spot to eat at via Yelp. Saw the reviews and pictures and decided to give this place a shot. Started off a sangria which was ok and Jumbo wings which were solid. For my main, I got the woodbine burger ($17) with truffle fries ($2 extra) which was also solid. For dessert got the chocolate lava cake ($9) which was good but the chocolate did not flow like lava from the initial breaking of the cake. Overall a good experience with good service.

Yelp
A friend of mine invited me on a date to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We were quickly greeted and seated upon arriving. There were a few other people dining as well so they stayed pretty busy throughout the night. My friend had rum with coke to drink and I had the "Rosemary's Baby." The drink was pretty good. Not too strong and the perfect amount of spicy. (contains rosemary with jalapeno infused tequila) Our food didn't take too long to arrive and it smelled so good when she placed the plates in front of us. My friend had the chicken curry and I had the pan roasted wild salmon. He gave me some of his chicken curry to try and it was delicious. It was very flavorful and it was cooked to perfection. My salmon was also a hit. It was tasty, flaky, and juicy - just like I like it. It came with potatoes and asparagus and they were also cooked perfectly - al dente. Service was good and the waitress was friendly! Definitely a must try if and when in the area for good food and drinks!

Bloody Mary's have a nice kick. The service was great. I had the eggs with chorizo and it was delicious

Fantastic food. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we had a wonderful waitress. Great menu. Will be back to try more!

Yelp
Having just moved to LIC, I tried woodbines for the first time for brunch a few weeks ago, and I have already been back again for dinner!! The service was quick and friendly, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was hot and delicious! The mimosa flight at brunch was really fun! My husband and I enjoyed moving along the flight together and trying all the flavors. When I went for dinner I tried a cocktail, which was so yummy and in a mason jar that was not filled to the brim with ice!! My drink lasted me the whole meal and wasn't watered down!! A rare and wonderful find!! Wings were also fantastic, and I cannot properly put words to how delicious the lobster Mac and cheese was!!! I omitted the truffle, and I was absolutely perfect! So much lobster flavor! Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Woodbines and it was great. My daughter and I had an off day together and found ourselves wandering around L.I.C. She had never been so we decided to stop in. It was early on a Friday afternoon and there was plenty of seating. I got a salad and my daughter got a burger. Everything was quite tasty. There really isn't anything to add other than everything was delicious and hit the spot. Service was great and attentive. Bathroom was very clean. The ambiance as a whole is just warm and welcoming. We'll be back!

Yelp
Woodbines has a cozy vibe. Located in LIC it's an easy going spot with good food and drinks. I went with a couple of friends after work and we just missed happy hour (which ends at 6). But for drinks we were still able to pick a few good choices. They had a mulled warm wine and I went with the "No Thank You" drink with had vodka, ginger, lime and champagne. It was refreshing. We each had a short rib inspired dish. The short rib egg rolls were crispy, a great size and came with a horseradish dipping sauce. The short rib tacos (3) were also a good serving size and tasty. We shared the molten lava cake for dessert. The service was good. The waiter was attentive and we had time to chat before settling the bill. By 7:30 they were full so you could see it's a popular spot for a Friday night. Everyone seemed happy. The only drawback from our table was the draft from the back door. It seemed like the staff needed to go to the back and outside at times. But the visit was positive so we know not to sit at that table in the future. Definitely check Woodbines out!

Yelp
Surprisingly affordable spot in LIC (a 20 second walk from my apartment lol). Right on the highly accessible Vernon Blvd, this cozy, dark-wood restaurant was a commendable brunch spot to eat away our World Cup woes. I ordered the Chorizo Scramble ($14), a hefty plate of buttered toast, scrambled eggs, home fries, and salad. It was flavorful and filling and hit me with a hard food coma in the afternoon. Everyone who got the Chicky absolutely loved it & the fries I snuck from them were quite solid. I don't usually go for new American food, but Woodbines may prove itself to be an exception. Would come back! (their Irish breakfast sounded real tempting)

Yelp
Although we were heading to a different place to have dinner on Vernon Blvd we ended up at Woodbines. From the moment we stepped in the staff was very friendly and kind. We sat by the window and we ordered two glasses of red wine and a few plates to share. The food was simple but it was delicious! We got the jumbo wings, truffle fries, short rib spring rolls, spinach artichoke dip and in the end we shared one lamb burger. Everything was so tasty! The servers were happy and they came several times to our table to check on us. The place is cozy and the vibes were cool. We loved it. We are going back for sure!

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible. My food was amazing, and the staff were SO incredibly lovely. I brought in my dog-phew (pup), and they instantly gave him a bowl of water (a real bowl-not styrofoam!) - and gave him treats (only after asking if that was okay!) They also gave him lots of cuddles. One thousand percent recommend. Thank you!

Yelp
This bar is one of my go-tos in LIC for a casual good time with friends. There's always seating so I've never had to wait, whether it's indoors or outdoors. The service is always great as well and they're also dog friendly! They let us sit indoors with our dog and even gave him a treat! Drinks are alright. You can order whatever you want since they do have a full bar but they also offer cocktails and other specialty drinks as well. I found that some cocktails were light in alcohol while others were stronger but overall, not bad. The food is also yummy, especially to satisfy the munchies. They have a full menu serving all types of food from burgers/sandwiches to tacos and fish & chips. Appetizers have always been a hit (especially the nachos, fries, spinach artichoke dip) and the entrees are good too. Definitely great to have a bar that also has real food!

Yelp
Wonderful brunch and their mimosa flights are 10/10. Their spiked hot cocoa is deliciously dangerous. Everything is so good and whoever controls the music playlist deserves a raise.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great dog-friendly bar on Vernon Blvd. There's outdoor seating, both on the sidewalk and in a protected covered space on the street. They serve up really good cocktails that are decently priced and they also serve food. I had a few cocktails - Rosemarie's Baby and the Peachy Old Fashioned - and I recommend both. I just had the Scotch Egg appetizer and it was delicious. There's plenty of other options on the menu, including craft beers, and there's a TV inside by the bar. I'll definitely be coming back here as one of my new favorite local bars, particularly because they're so dog-friendly so I can bring my fur baby along for the fun.

Yelp
The food here is just awesome - multiple steps up from anywhere else around w/ similar menu items ....very clean inside, super attentive & friendly service, nice selection of rotating taps....the salads here are really killing & so are the wings - drooling thinking about them now !!!

Yelp
Had gone to Woodbines for brunch with family and to watch Giants play Rams. The only disappointing thing about this experience was the way Giants played. Just very terrible! But this review isn't about the Giants! It about the amazing staff, a well priced brunch menu, and excellent service that we experienced at Woodbines. They have decent outdoor seating, but it was a relatively chilly Sunday afternoon, and we sat indoors on one of their comfortable seating opposite their bar. They had some good beers on draught, but we were in mood for some brunch cocktails and got an extremely sour Greyhound ($9) and Bellini ($9). The greyhound was quite sour and it felt like the grapefruit/concoction had gone bad. A very strong drink though! If you stick with the same cocktail, they had refills for $5 which I thought was pretty cool. I knew I should've started with their Bloody Mary ($9) which was a much better drink as compared to the Greyhound. For food, we got Avocado Toast ($15) and Beet Salad ($13) - both extremely flavorful and delicious options. Service was absolutely excellent and they have a very friendly team here! The place started getting busy around 3:15 pm. We will definitely visit again, but not when Giants are playing!

Yelp
Ordered takeout for lunch from this place on a Saturday and didn't have to wait long. The only issue with ordering on Ubereats is that there's no way to make any modifications when ordering a burger. Because of this, the burgers came well done with everything on it. Would have definitely preferred to enter a preference when choosing meat temperature. Additionally, I ordered two burgers for myself and my boyfriend and the side of potatoes that came with each burger was pathetic. For both orders of the brunch burger, we got a total of about five pieces of potatoes. Overall, would not order takeout from this place again if I were to revisit.

Yelp
Order: - Crispy Short Rib Spring Rolls (5/5) - Herb Roasted Half Chicken (5/5) - Bangers and Mash (5/5) - Chocolate Lava Cake (5/5) Pros: - Great tasting food - Array of options from your traditional Irish pub fares to elevated bar food - Great service. Our bartender (forgot her name) was really nice and easy to talk to - Bar and regular seating areas - Large portion sizes. After the appetizer, I only finished half of my half roasted chicken... but of course I had room for dessert Cons: - Not all drinks are available. They had a good amount on draft and some bottles/cans, but they didn't have your typical classical like Budweiser - A little bit on the pricer side, but matches the quantity/quality you're getting - Not really a con, but they should serve the chocolate lava cake with some vanilla ice cream. It would have made it 10x better Overall: My coworker and I just happened to walk by Woodbines after going to one of our manufacturers and saw their menu outside their door. We're really glad we stopped by. Food and service is great and isn't a bad walk from the 7 train and Gantry Park.

Yelp
Came here as I was in the area and wanted to originally check out R40, but couldn't dine-in as they wanted you to make reservations. So, came here instead and it seemed low-key with a fun atmosphere. The kitchen is opened late here: mon-thur until 11pm, frid-sat until 12am, and sun until 9pm. They have 12 beers on tap and so many different drinks even non-alcoholic. The food selection was great too. For appetizers that I ordered was Woodbines chili cheese nachos in it were fried corn chips, beef chili, jack cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream & pickled jalapeños. It was enough for two people. Not only did it look amazing to eat, but it tasted so savory. For the entree i ordered the slider trios which has Irish cheddar, bacon & slider in one, pepperjack, Pico de Gallo & avocado in another, and last but not least is goat cheese, sautéed onions & mushrooms. All three were different, and I liked the one with bacon in it the best. Who doesn't enjoy a good piece of bacon? I also, ordered a drink of course which was a ginger beer. I would probably come back as it has a great homey vibe and the servers were welcoming and very friendly. However, the bathroom situation needs to be addressed. Wish there were more and that it was cleaned more frequently. The food needs to come out a bit faster as well.
google avatar

Yelp
We had such a great time- they accommodated a party of six pretty quickly. We had a mix of scotch eggs and wings for the table. Their cocktails were also pretty great. But let's talk about the Reese's Peanut Butter pie. That was my closer and I would've walked out with a whole pie if I didn't have shame. I wish I did.... Just means I have to go back. :)

Yelp
I've lived here in LIC on Center Blvd. for a number of years, but for some reason never tried Woodbines. My best friend treated me to brunch there this past Sunday, and frankly, I was blown away! One helluva Irish Pub, which I'm glad we got to enjoy! They don't take reservations, and seeing how packed they were around 1 p.m. on Sunday makes that very understandable! Great service...great food (their Irish Breakfast was to DIE for...along with their mimosa flight was fabulous...although I'd suggest mixing and matching...the passion fruit was a bit thick...lol). Can't recommend them highly enough!
google avatar

Gloria R.

Yelp
I'm so happy we happened along this amazing spot on our way back from the park! We stopped in and were warmly greeted by 2 friendly and very helpful bartenders. We inquired about the menu since it was our first time there and they suggested a few items which we very pleased with! We also asked for suggestions on drinks and after telling them what we like they suggested the bird in hand which is mezcal based but also has Campari and pineapple juice which was interesting and delicious. They also suggested Rosemarie's baby which had a jalapeno infused tequila and then we tried the hibiscus margarita...we loved them all! We didn't try a lot of the food as we weren't that hungry but we had the fish and chips which were very yummy, the mojito shrimp lettuce wraps which were probably my favorite and we also had short rib spring rolls which were braised with Guinness which added a richness to the flavor. The bartenders told us they have a great happy hour as well so next time I'm in LIC this will be my first stop!

Yelp
I'm a fan of this place. Been going here for over a year. The food, ambiance and staff are great. However I always seem to run into one issue and it's when ordering wings. Whenever I ask for eating at the restaurant or take out for extra bleu cheese and celery it's never given. Not once ever. Is there a secret bleu cheese or celery shortage that we don't know about? Charge me extra idc. It's my one major caveat.
google avatar

Margaret T.

Yelp
Service: 4/5, Food: 5/5 Initially was seated quickly but after first round of drinks the bartender/waitress forgot about us and I had to wave over another server just to place our food order. When we finally got our food, his order was wrong. But they were kind and gave us a drink on the house as well as the Chicky to take home with us. The server was very attentive and food came out at a decent time. The food was flavorful & delicious. I recommend the beet salad and the short rib spring rolls! The meat was so tender and the cheese in the rolls complimented it. You will not regret ordering them! My boyfriend got the Classic and both the fries and the burger were really good. Overall good experience - would recommend.

Yelp
This is a bar I come to sometimes for a drink after work. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is lovely. Today I brought my toddler who had a pretty rough time and the staff was incredibly accommodating, brought out food quickly and were so sweet. I can't recommend this place enough. Everyone here is wonderful. A true neighborhood staple.

Yelp
The food was ok, drinks were nice and strong, was seated immediately. Server was friendly and observant. Music with a chill vibe. Parking sucks but i was content with my visit. Definitely take food home because the it tasted way better the 2nd day

Dave H.

Yelp
Was there a few months ago on a Saturday. Waitress was very nonchalant, and pointed the 3 of us (2 adults one child) to a tiny table up front. It was hot and we were under the sun. Not to mention there were bigger tables so not sure why we were given that one. The waitress seems to only care about the younger crowd or repeat customers. Thanks to the tiny table, I accidently spilled my drink when I was helping my kid with her food. I looked up and saw a nasty look from the waitress. I helped myself to a bunch of napkins and cleaned up the mess myself. Only when she came to give us the bill she was a little bit more friendly. But it already ruined the experience for us. It was our first time there and will be the last time. The food overall was good, but not worth it for me to go back again. It's probably a good place if you are hanging out with friends, but it is not kids friendly.
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Wanted to give an updated review since it's been a while since I last visited. Great spot for a midday hangout! Came on a warm Thursday afternoon with a friend and got seated inside right away (outdoor seating is also available). To drink we both got the Blueberry Seltzer which was so good! Wish there was a can version of this sold somewhere else. My friend and I shared the Woodbines Chili Cheese Nachos which were great! We also got the Chocolate Lava Cake which was good too. There wasn't much lava, but still had plenty of chocolate flavor. Definitely worth the visit!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Food took forever to come out (40 mins) and when it finally did, everything was bland. I ordered lamb burger and it tasted like it was just thawed so I tasted the ice just melted in my mouth instead of the meat juice. My side which was the Cajun fries, I thought they gave me the regular fries and the waitress said they are Cajun. She offered me if I want more of the Cajun seasonings, and I took it. It tasted so much better after I put more. That explains that the chef didn't put enough seasoning and salt. My friend's salmon was also bad. We all said not coming back to this place again.

n l.

Yelp
Not feeling so hot? Taking a sick day? Craving comfort food? Order the adult grilled cheese and tomato soup! You'll thank me for sure (Add !)

Yelp
I would like to give one star for the experience I had at Woodbines today, but I have had many more here that were better. I actually would prefer to message a owner, but I don't see an option for that. This review is based on our experience there today. We went there for brunch and our experience was almost completely overshadowed by the horribly rude waitress we had! I have been there many times and the staff has always been quite pleasant. But today there was a seemingly new woman there (blonde hair). It's almost like we were in a reality tv show and she was TRYING to be rude! Everyone was so taken back with her attitude. She must forget that she is working in customer service! I will never come back while she is working there. I really hope management addresses this. Because they WILL lose business over this woman. There are plenty of other options nearby not to deal with such such disrespect when you are supporting an establishment.

Rianna R.

Yelp
We stopped by just for a beer and a snack -- the beer selection is pretty good, and will definitively be back to try more of the food next time. The service itself definitely gets 5 stars. We had the friendliest server and really enjoyed our experience overall. Tables are pretty close together, so I only felt comfortable stopping here since there was an empty one next to us. There's an enclosed outdoor seating area on the street with heaters, and then a few extra tables (no heaters) outside the restaurant.
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
Service was slow, we sat for a while before being acknowledged. The waitress spilled part of my drink as she placed it on the table and ignored the fact she did even after looking at it. She never gave us silverware until we asked for it. The nachos were cold and skimpy on beans, the drinks however were good. The fish tacos were good. But service in my opinion needs attention to detail. Would I return, NO not really. Is it worth a good drink and no food maybe.

Yelp
Stopped by with a group of 4 on a recent Sunday. The weather was ok, in the 50s and we were able to get a table outside with plenty of ventilation. We ordered mulled wines and hot brandy/ciders and checked out the menu. There was one woman who was bartending and waiting on ALL of the tables and she was doing a GREAT job of juggling it all with a prompt and positive manner. We ordered: Buffalo Wings-great, would recommend-NICE blue cheese dressing Shrimp and lettuce wraps-Actually fantastic, 4 PACKED wraps Short rib grilled cheese-liked a lot Fried chicken sandwich-solid and HUGE All of the sandwiches came with fries, which were excellent, super crispy on the outside, just the way I like them. There was also an option for truffle fries and they were AMAZING!! Extra thin and oh so crispy! Overall, great experience, would definitely return!

Yelp
Great place to grab a Guinness with friends! Always a warm and welcoming environment.

Yelp
It's my first month moving into this area so I figured I'd take a stroll around the neighborhood and support local restaurants and get brunch. We passed by a few spots but this one really caught our eyes when the waitress came out with this burger and what looked like a panini. We came inside and we're immediately seated. There were seats indoors and outdoors. The brunch menu had many options and we were excited to try them out. We ordered the Chicky and the Cubano. We also had the short rib egg rolls. The egg rolls were amazing. I also loved the Chicky. The Cubano however, was a little spicy. And not the spicy that makes your tongue burn but more so like wasabi, that makes your eyes water and your head hurt. If you like that kind of spicy, I would recommend but other than that, I just scrapped the Dijon mustard off my sandwich. I would definitely recommend this place and am definitely coming back for more! This is an Irish restaurant and I would love to try out new dishes to try.

Yelp
We were craving burgers and settled on Woodbines for their house version with irish cheedar cheese, thick cut bacon and coleslaw on a large brioche bun. The order was for pickup, but they seemed to have lost our order from Uber Eats as we had to wait about 15 minutes upon arrival and some general confusion from the hostess. The burgers we received though were really fresh, including the fries, so not going to complain about the wait. Both burgers were of good size and came with a huge portion of fries that were hard to finish (of course I did though). I thought the meat itself could have been seasoned a bit more though, which I thought was definitely lacking at least some salt. Price ($17) was a little on the high end for a burger, but since the portion was large I don't mind that much either. Overall, a solid burger in LIC and one I would return for once I get the craving again.

Yelp
I went there with a friend and had a good time.I ordered their pork chop dinner. It was delicious and prepared properly. The waitstaff was very helpful and prompt when needing another drink. The ambiance was of being in a local pub in Ireland or Scotland.I also ordered the short rib spring rolls which were very tasty and satisfying. My opinion is that this establishment shall last a long time for the quality of the food and drinks they serve. Two thumbs up for this bar.

Yelp
I don't know if they have changed or I have. I like woodbines better now. I still think it's too loud when crowded, but it doesn't bug me as much as it used to when it's less crowded. It could be me. I like the staff. The fish and chips ain't shabby either.

Yelp
Dig overpriced hipster food? This place is your jam!! Organic. Gluten Free. Vegan. Grass-Fed. It's all here. Feed the damn cow beefarino for all I care.. just make the food taste good. All snarky hippy jabs aside - this place just ain't that great! I'm kinda surprised at all the great reviews, seems Woodbines USED to be good, but is on their down way now. IDK because this was the first time I had it. I've been here a few other times for mimosas, but never ordered food. Finally gave in and had brunch a few weeks ago.. we had the burger and porky pig. Both were underwhelming. Home fries were cold. Salad was good. The buns tasted stale. Pork sandwich tasted straight outta the microwave. They overcharged for our drinks. Overall meh experience.

Yelp
Friendly service and a solid burger, cooked to order. They have three types of french fries (shoe string truffle, sweet potato, and regular) so everyone gets what they want. Their hot cocktails for winter were also delicious, a heavily spiced mulled wine was my favorite.

Yelp
Woodbines is a Gem in long island city. I came here after a beer festival i went to in long island city and i'm happy i did. On arrival this spot was laid back and wasn't to packed. Their beer selection was amazing and the food selection, which was brunch until 4:00pm was awesome. After a few drinks, i decided to go with the turkey burger with home fries. Im so happy i did their coleslaw was out of this world. I have a tendency of putting my coleslaw on top of my burger and i'm so happy i did. The turkey burger was seasoned to perfection and was mind blowing. My friend ordered the Kobe beef sliders with a side of fries. I never bar hopped in LIC, but i came across a lot of awesome bars that i was amazed by. This bar had a nice backyard patio that looked real nice. I stayed inside though due to it being to hot outside, but i'll definitely check it out next time. The bbq short rib taco's were banging i ordered those after a few hours of my burger and they were awesome. 2 taco's for $9 dollars you cant go wrong for a little app. The bbq short rib was marinated to perfection and the meat was very tender which i enjoyed. The staff were very friendly upon walking in and the service was excellent from the first second i sat down. If i wasn't certain about a beer the bartender would let me sample the beer and taste it before purchasing, which was cool. This place is all around awesome and the food is banging. I will definitely be returning. * great service *banging food *great staff HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
My husband and I were wandering to have brunch and everywhere in LIC was full and had a long line. This was the only place we could eat without waiting so we decided to give a try. We ordered Scotch egg, Breakfast Brussels and Wild mushroom omelet. The food came out pretty fast. The portion was very generous and everything tasted pretty good. And everything was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was good too. I was a bit skeptical about having brunch in a bar but we had a good time and enjoyed our food.

Yelp
My first time to Woodbines, the second time for my friend. The place has a very friendly, happy vibe and the wood floor helps absorb some of the noise. Our server was Taylor and she was perfect! Very helpful with both drinks and menu choices, and once we were eating she checked in just the right amount to make sure all was fine, which it was. Great dinner -- I had the Lamb Burger with goat cheese and (for a little extra) a side of sweet potato fries. Both my friend and I left the place with that nice full feeling and we will certainly return.
